Bought as a replacement for our old machine. Brilliant, much quieter when when grinding the beans and the built in milk frothed is amazing

That’s a great coffee machine, but it doesn’t alert you when there’s no coffee beans left. Except this minor issue, just brilliant!

    Amazing machine!

Read the instructions first is a must, its straight forward to use . Best set the clock etc first, once you get your head around the interface, it’s a doodle. Only thing is it make coffee that good you forever filling it up, and emptying the waste, but its worth it. Looks great, the steamer on the side has 2 settings, for that frothy one you love from your favourite coffee shop.
Best machine around for the price, without the mess and agro of barista machines which are great. But this is convenient too.
Can even program it to be ready to use as you get up. With its programmable timer.

You can’t get better. For just over the 500 pound mark.

I bought this for 450 when it was on offer. Would not pay 800+ for any coffee machine unless I was very wealthy, but getting a 500 work bonus, decided to treat myself since I am stuck working from home.

I had a manual espresso machine before, which was on its last legs, so decided to give bean to cup a try. The pre-programmed options make weak coffee, however I could programme coffee strength, temperature and amount. Then the milk option is also programmable, so I can still easily make different coffees, but just need to press 3 or 4 buttons instead of 1 to get a full flavoured coffee. Comparing this to manually grinding coffee, trying to press it the right amount an manually steaming milk, pressing a few buttons is no effort at all. You need to spend a bit of time when you first get the machine to configure it to your taste, but oncd this is sorted, then boom…instant coffee! The flavour and texture is much better than I ever could make with a manual machine. I use starbucks dark roast espresso beans and would argue the coffee made is on par with, if not better than at a coffee shop.

The other great thing is it has a timer to automatically switch on and warm the tray at the top. I set it to come on 1 hour before I have breakfast and put my cup on the tray the night before so it is warm for when I want my coffee. Some reviews state the coffee is not that hot. It is not boiling hot, but if you put the temperature setting on high and warm cups on the tray, then it is a good temperature to drink.

The self rinsing an reminders to descale etc ensure it stays in top condition. It even has a setting to brew coffee based on water hardness.

Now I have this, I cant live without it. A must for any home!

I researched, researched and researched until I decided to buy! I have had my Delonghi for just over a year and usually I don’t write reviews but decided for this I would invest a little time.

I love coffee. When lock down happened then coffee is really the only thing I enjoy as I find it social but it doesn’t leave you with as much as a hangover as wine!

Firstly, it looks great but I would advise caution as I bought white not thinking about the microwave, toaster or kettle which consequently had to be changed or else my partner would have bagged me to death about the lack of Co-ordination of our appliances!

It’s really easy to use and set up. I guess you can take experimentation to a whole new level or likewise just actually hit a button and get your fav type of coffee.

The metal tray does scratch fairly easily as mentioned on reviews which takes away slightly from the look but I guess it’s like wearing a pair of trainers every day for a year.. it will get worn.

The milk frother works well and obvs is an easier way to achieve your favourite drink than frothing separately. Like most reviewers then it comes to personal preferences as to the temperature of your drink. I’ve made coffee and ppl accept it and made coffee and ppl think it’s cold (take a mental note and add a little hot water).

In terms of cleaning after daily use then I guess that’s the bit which is every so slightly frustrating particularly with the milk frother. Clean at the time. Don’t do what I do and hate myself every night before I go to bed because I’ve left it all day. Especially during the summer. Milk can quickly turn if not refrigerated. The tray itself has a few nobbly bits which are difficult to get right into. A quick rinse and wash every other night and we are good to go!

All in all I’ve probably saved a fortune to be honest. If you think about most coffee joints I was buying a latte every day for about 3.50 on my way to work. Now I make it to go and occasionally still treat myself that’s 300x 3.50 and I can’t make the calculation because to write the actual amount would mean that my partner would kill me! (It’s about 1k per annum)

Given the accessibility of getting main stream brand delivered now by Uber then save yourself a fortunes and get this machine! I’m annoyed I didn’t do it sooner.

    In summary pros

    Ease of use
    Posh coffee in the house
    Looks nice
Blissful coffee mornings without leaving your house

    Cons
    A commitment to clean everyday
    Trays a bit futtery/easily marked
Coffee stops if tanks empty and doesn’t start again where it finished

Overall——- what are you waiting for?

Also, for info, I haven’t been paid to write this review but what I would say if anyone wants me to test or send me a free upgrade then I’ll happily receive. Wouldn’t we all

Have an awesome day and treat yourself— hit by now!

This is something else, is like having your very own Barista at your finger tips, all you have to do is to point (well, touch). I know that is down to the quality of coffee used, but from grinding, creama, flavour, frothing and temperature etc all you can adjust and personalise. Very easy to use and Guess what? It clean itself!!!!!!! I love i

Bought my machine 4.5 years ago. Gets used several times a day for both Espresso and Cappuccino.
Taste is great with Lavazza Rossa beans and as good today as it was when I first got it.

Cleaning is easy, and only requires descaling every 12months with my water condition.

Only part that has needed replacing is the milk carafe straw. A simple 5 part that is subject to wear through use and washing.

100% recommend this product. Coffee is strong, not bitter (through too much tamping or pressure) and not burned (too hot).
Coffee Connoisseurs May find fault with the extraction but for us everyday drinkers it’s great.

Short strong pull with no sugar for me

Just a quick note to say that the picture shows a stainless colour but the description says white.
    You get white.

It looks smart I must say, as the display is stainless silver, bu the main body is white.

I have just finished my fifth cup of coffee as the machine arrived earlier and I could not resist trying out as many functions as possible. Lovely coffee, great Cappucino. Rooky error the first time of leaving the wand on the hot milk setting, so that one was a flat white. Good to know!

Takes a little bit of working out, but perhaps that is my age. All in all, a lovely machine and I am proud to have it in my kitchen.

What can I say it’s fabulous.
    Crme coffee. Packing flavour.
Down side is needs oiling every week.
And the metal plate is very easy scratched.
    I use food grade silicon.
It makes a wheezing sound when making coffee. I open her up and oil her main spring. This afords me 1 week until I have to do her again!

Love this machine it makes great coffee we have tried several different beans, it gives you 5 choices of strength which is really good as some beans are stronger than others. It makes really good cappuccino I make a double and the froth is really good. It also cleans the froth nozzle and coffee nozzles each time to keep everything clean and running smoothly. The hot water is great and it is all very quick. Like the fact that parts are stainless steel on this machine.

The hot water is great and it is all very quick. Like the fact that parts are stainless steel on this machine.

I adore this machine! Everything about it is so well made. The outer is obviously plastic, but all the parts that matter feel solid. It’s so solid that even the grind is quiet! It is so much more solid than cheaper machines by DeLonghi.

We must make eight coffees a day and it is just effortless with this. The tank comes out of the front which is so much easier than a tank from the back. Good size bean container.

I have always had a De’Longhi coffee maker. I love how simple they are to use and also to clean and descale. This is the first time I’ve had the milk edition and also easy to use and clean. The coffee blends lovely with a smooth richer taste. Along with some other machines I do believe the value is very good also. xxx

I adjusted the temperature to hotter than default op. The temperature is just right now. It is a step up from magnifica machine. A very good purchase.

We have used De Longhi bean to cup machines for some years now, and recently upgraded to this. It is a revelation. Full automatic and myriad choices strength and depth. Also one programmable option for personal; choice. Larger water reservoir than previous models, and a much larger bean catchment area. A really wnderful machine. and we are sp pleased with our choice.

This is my first bean to cup machine. I wanted to change from my Nespresso machine and after some research decided on this one. Easy to use once you have read the instructions, have not tried to set up the personal cup size and strength etc.
The chrome metal plate that the cup sits on does scratch easily but now I always leave a piece of kitchen towel for the cup to sit on.

This is my second Delonghi coffee machine, only upgraded as I wanted more automated machine. Have to say really easy to operate. 2 or 3 button presses and all is done for you. The milk container is fantastic as it fits on the top drawer off door in fridge. If you want a no mess convenient bean to cup machine this is what I would recommend. Makes great cappuccinos etc. I trust in this brand as I have bought quite a few items and found their aftersales impeccable.

I like this coffee maker. I have had delongi before, but this is the first one with the milk. The milk froths well but because it’s milk you have to keep it in the fridge, this can be a bit of a nuisance as you have to clean the milk spout before storing.

  65. HenrietHuxley says:

I have been very impressed with this coffee machine because I hadn’t realised how easy it is to operate. Just pop in some beans into the top reservoir, fill up the tank and choose your coffee type. It’s very versatile because as well as using the beans, it is possible to use pre-ground coffee by adding it through the little chute on top; we tend to keep the beans reservoir full of decaf and I just use the chute when I want a “normal” coffee.
With the beans in the top, you can choose how strong the flavour is (mild through to extra-strong, in 5 stages) and how much liquid is delivered by tapping on the cups icon to get standard, long or extra long. There are so many variables for getting an Americano style coffee that I am still learning about them all, even though we’ve had the machine for over a month now… and I haven’t even looked at the cappuchino options which can be made using the milk accessory!!
I have had to do a descaling operation already; partly this was my fault for not checking the water hardness when I set it up, but it looks like this happens about once a month anyway. The De’Longhi descaler worked very well but is fairly expensive (I bought the 500ml replacement as it works out loads cheaper in the long run). I haven’t had to replace the filter yet (only gets done once every two months) but again the De’Longhi versions are not cheap (even on Amazon) so I will need to investigate the possibility of using the non-branded versions that pop up as suggestions.
All in all, it has been a fantastic acquisition and makes life a lot easier. I’m very pleased with it, especially as I got it in one of the pre-New Year sales and it costs double what I paid for it now.

We bought this to replace a faulty earlier model we had. We decided to upgrade a little and it was definitely worth paying a little bit extra.

This machine is fantastic. Easy to use, easy to maintain and makes great coffee. We personally prefer extra strong taste and this machine delivers on all levels.

It’s not the smallest machine on the planet but it looks great on the worktop and isn’t too noisy.

The milk attachment is great too. You do need to use cold milk but we just fill it up and keep it in the fridge until the next time.

Great machine and well worth the money

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersJust to provide some insight to people like myself when I was doing my own research. First of all think about which coffee drinker type are you and what you value the most.
    A) you really need convinience and want a decent coffee fast – this would be mostly a nespresso drinker. And if you were worried about capsule waste or just the high cost per capsule now averaging 40 cents there is another option which is a reusable capsule. You need to check which ones would work for your machine.
    B) If you would like to drink coffee from fresh beans and your main drink type is coffee with milk (latte, capuccino, etc) then a bean to cup is definitely for you. This machine is a really good bean to cup. Its pretty easy to use (not as easy as a nespresso one) and gives you good coffee. To get a good coffee will be trial and error until you get the right grind for your beans. We are still trying to learn. With lavazza beans we are around 15 cents per capsule excluding the cost of the milk, so much lower than what we were spending in capsules. Also as some reviews here said, this machine uses a lot of water, when turning on and off but if this is to ensure the inside mechanism is clean I dont see any harm on it. You can save the water and water the plants.
    C) Coffee for you is a hobby and you like to enjoy the full experience from the perfect grind to the pressure, quantity etc then something like a sage oracle would be perfect. It does require more work and more maintenance. But probably thats part of the experience too.

Myself: we drink around 3 coffees in the morning between me and husband. I drink decaff affer lunch. We both have a nespresso for the last 13 years and we were mainly drinking espresso. For us coffee means short ristretto size full of cream and body. In the morning I do like my capuccino. Whereas I love coffee since I can remember the reality is I dont have a lot of time to learn all the settings and clean the machine to keep it spot on. With this in mind Ill summarize below

    Pros:
    1) really easy to use (but worth reading the instructions to setup). Once youve adjusted your settings it will be pretty easy to use on a daily basis. Would recommend a dirty coffee mug when turning on and off the machine.
    2) For those that drink decaf you can use ground coffee for it so you dont have to swap the beans. I normally do a rinsing after I do a decaf to ensure its all clean and ready for the next espresso.
    3) You can do milk based drinks at the touch of a finger. Im still using my aeroccino as I can make the capuccino foam for a single drink without leaving anything in the container and its easier to clean I find.
    4) You get the chance to use fresh beans and find the coffee that suits your taste buds.
    5) The grind settings for this type of machine are not bad at all. We are still trying to learn the best combo between coffee strenght and grind.
    6) pretty straightforward to clean so far and would definitely recommend a water filter to avoid a lot of descaling. I have the delonghi filters but thinking of trying the charcoal stick which I use on my water bottle to see if the machine would cope with it just to avoid plastic waste.

    Cons:
    1) The body / cream levels are more ‘watery’ than a nespresso. To reach this conclusion weve used the same beans on the nespresso (reusable capsule) by using the manual grinder and the eletta and even though they both look really creame the body of the nespresso was better. Theres something quite powerful of using the capsule and all that pressure inside. If only there was a machine that had a really good and compatible reusable capsule it would be fab.
    2) coffee waste – here nothing wrong with the eletta as such as all of the non capsule machines suffer from the same sin. The amount of coffee needed for an espresso is almost 3 times higher than the nespresso even though its a lot cheaper than if you buy the capsules. I just wish this machines could be more efficient with coffee usage. Maybe one day.
    3) Lack of cup warmer – it looks like its there but does nothing. The model above comes with the menu setting which allows to turn this feature on and off. Some people complain about coffee temperature so this would help. What I use instead is the water from turning on the machine and throw it away before taking my coffee. You can also warm your cup in the microwave.

Ill be honest here, if there were really good reusable capsules out there I would have kept the nespresso longer as the espresso has more body. But overall for the coffee user I’m happy (my husband is not as he drinks more espresso than me).

So hope this review is helpful to you.

If you want to enjoy milk based coffees and choosing your own beans this is for you

Lovely machine although takes a fair while to work out. Don’t agree about temperature as there’s a dial to change that. It’s more the ‘ordering’ that’s harder if you want to variate. However machine basically cleans itself and tells you what it needs

Strong thumbs up from me for this machine. It’s tidier, quicker and all round better than my previous one.

If you drink milk based coffees, then the temperature you’ll get from the frother is not the same as if you got it from a coffee shop. If you want that, then you’ll have to go for 30 secs in the microwave. But it’s drinkable at that point in time, and appropriately frothy.

The coffee crema and taste is simply excellent.

Great machine! Drinking more coffee than I ever have... eek!

Very pleased with our bean to cup coffee machine, we bought it as our Christmas present to each other!. It’s been lovely having nice coffee every morning. Especially as at the moment we can’t have coffee out.
The grinder is a little noisy but don’t see how they’d make that quieter, makes a smaller cup than we are used to but I sometime just have 2 cups. You can adjust a lot of things, we haven’t got used to all of them as yet. For those who find the coffee is not hot enough, you can turn the setting up to high and I find it’s best to run some hot water into the cup to warm it before you begin.

This machine is wonderful, makes a very tasty and creamy coffee, and a very frothy cappuccino. It is very easy to use and to clean. It’s all you need to say bye bye to the expensive pods, saving the environment while saving money in the long run.
It is also very easy to costumize, which allows you to set your own ratio of milk to coffee on your drinks, or set how large your “long coffee” is.

For those who say the drink is not hot enough, follow the manual and increase temperature on the menu, it comes from factory set to 2/4. Don’t warm up the milk as it makes it your drink less frothy and less tasty, and you won’t be able to store it again on the fridge.
As good as this machine is, if you feel it’s still not quite like the coffee from your favourite coffee shop, there’s a reason those machines cost 15 grand. Get real because this is a very good quality domestic machine and makes excellent coffee.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat little machine. My previous machine was twice the price but the result is the same. This machine gives great coffee with a good thick crema. Just love foaming the milk for my cappuccinos. It takes a bit of time to master the technic but it’s worth the effort as, done right, it gives a really silky thick sweet foam. Only down side to the machine compared to my previous top of the range Krups is that it’s a bit slower and a bit noisy. Overall I’m really pleased with my Eletta. Would recommend it.

This is my first professional coffee maker and I feel that this was a good choice. However, there is few things which I feel could been improved in this machine.

    Pros/Features:
    – Does excellent coffee and fluffs milk well
    – Burr grinder allows to choose fineness level of your coffee
    – You can use pre-grounded coffee too, and machine remembers this setting
    – You can set water temperature
    – You can crudely customize levels of water and milk in your favourite coffees (more on that later)
    – You can create your own coffee recipe (only one)
    – It can give you just coffee/water/milk so you can get rid of your old kettle

    Cons/Useful usage tips:
    – Grinding adjustment (little dial inside coffee beans container) can be adjusted ONLY when mill is in operation! Meaning, when coffee is about to be grinded, be ready, have a lid open and adjust quickly when mill starts to operate. I feel that this has not been emphasized enough and explained in the manual. Do not force the dial, it won’t move when mill is not in use, you may break it!

    – There is few coffee types available in this machine: Cappuccino (Max. milk froth setting), Macchiatto/Flat White (Min. froth setting) and Caffelatte (No froth). You have to adjust froth level manually before making coffee. Make sure you remember these settings, otherwise you are not making coffee as designed. Manual should have these settings explained in some more prominent place.

    – You can customize and adjust amounts of water and milk in your favourite coffees by doing “live” example, which machine will remember: Press button for milk to start, when done press again to stop, then water with coffee will go and you press button again to stop water. This is very unreliable and not precise, because it solely relies on your measurement each time. Also, you can’t customize coffee beans amount at all, just water and milk. Temperature cannot be set per coffee also, setting is for all coffees. For example, you feel that you want to remove 20ml of milk or add 20ml of water to your favourite coffee? No chance, you have to make a coffee from the scratch and machine will remember what you did again. By doing it again “live”, you changing both milk and coffee values and each time you destroy that perfect amount of ingredient you may have achieved previously.

Good choice but things could be improved

Great tasting variety of coffee types and easy to use if you follow the instructions!
Only improvement- raise height of dispenser to be able to use larger mugs!

I absolutely love my new coffee maker. It is very easy to use and makes the perfect cup of coffee every time. It looks very stylish.
The only disappointment is the fact that some of the lettering is missing from the display (see attached photo)

    Very efficient machine

I absolutely love this machine and have had it for 6 months and today whilst making latte something made a bang inside . When I checked , this was in grounds container . Amazon is replacing it and I can’t wait until new one comes back . By far best coffee machine I’ve had

    Great all round coffee machine

Has been a solid machine over the past year, had no troubles. Has handled all bean types great. Don’t use the finest grind as can struggle with some bean types, but have experienced no taste consequence. Every program customizable for volume. Would say machine is designed more for smaller coffess rather than larger (can’t adjust how much coffee is ground only amount of water used), but can use ‘double coffee’ portions if you want larger coffees. Requires fairly regular cleaning of the milk container to avoid milk turning bad, but this is to be expected. Use britta filtered water in it in a very hard water area and no issues as of yet, with periodic decalcification.
