Pleased with this fire, only downside the fender is very light plastic, but looks ok.
I was doubtful at first as to whether this would look ok. In fact it looks great. Friends who visit comment that it is so welcoming and makes you feel warm and cosy.
Delighted with this fire realistic logs and flames attractive all round fire .
I was a bit worried about the look of the logs but once it was on it looked great. The flame effect and the logs make it look cosy and the room warms up really quickly. Very easy to install with very quick delivery.
I am absolutely delighted with this fire, and the log effect is really amazing. The heat, if required, is instant, with a good blower, but mainly I use this fire’s log burning look more than the actual fire itself, as it is so comforting, although for heating my room it was surprisingly quick when I tried it. It was very easy to fit into my fireplace, as this was replacing an older Dimplex electric coal fire of the similar measurements, but it should fit any fireplace. Summing up, I am so pleased that I purchased this fire, not only for the looks, but also for the value for money as I had seen other fires which looked practically the same, at a higher prices. Overall I can highly recommend it.
Second one as first one was faulty , but Amazon exchanged it and just love the flame effect , don’t use it for heating

This us an excellent fire and the flame effect is the best I have seen. Two or three people gave remarked on the authenticity of flame effect.

Arrived quickly. Good to look at, heat not directed in the way our previous fire was so doesn’t warm your feet if you stand next to it but does the job of heating the room and gives a good flame ambience in the room.

Bought purely for the effect to look warm and I am happy with the result. I like the 3D effect it gives with the mirror behind the logs and it looks more modern than old which fits in nicely. The controls are easy accessible even for me in a wheelchair. The flame effect is quiet.

Easy to install and operate, quiet to have the “flames” on and casts lovely shapes and shadows on the ceiling. I rarely use the heat element, as I have another radiator; I bought it because I would really love a real fire (not an option in my rental) and I hoped this might make a good substitute. It’s not going to convince anyone it’s actual fire – but it makes my living room feel very cosy nonetheless. I love it – so does the cat! Thank you.

Bought from Amazon Warehouse – box damaged, but fire perfect. We particularly like the flame effect. No problems with noise or rattling on our fire (other reviewers have complained of this). No remote, but I don’t mind having to exercise to switch it on manually!!
Bought as a gift for the fire affect which is quite good, heater is a little bit noisy not like a motorbike or anything, if your Pickapetty then you might notice if your just sat reading a book but otherwise it’s not that bad at all
It’s just what we needed after having back boiler removed and it fits in the space a treat..and it looks like a real fire.

Nothing to dislike at all. Make the room look cosy and have had many good comments re the look of the fire and the realistic flame effect.
Easy to fit good realistic effect and heat output thermastic control makes a comfortable room temperature and fitted our Victorian fire surround perfectly . Would have liked a little longer cable (another 18 inches ) would make it a lot easier to reach the nearest plug .
Simple design but quite realistic flame, one of the better looking flames and good logs. Could do with a notch onside of fire for cable to fit in, otherwise all good. Good value for money, let’s hope it lasts.

It’s a beautiful fire, and is exactly what i was looking for.
Nice flame effect and makes no noise when the lights are on. Makes the usual noise you would expect when the fan is on.
Also i took off the spacer bar and it fits nicely in my 16″ fireplace.
Fantastic product not used heater yet but looks great as a back light love this product with realistic log burning it makes you feel cosy very easy to fit and use

This fire is lovely. Even though it says it’s an inset fire it comes as a freestanding fire, which is exactly what I wanted. The flames are nice and bright and when just the flames are on there is no noise at all. I’ve always had Dimplex fires, and i’ve looked at others but nothing compares to the Dimplex optiflame effect. I can’t find one negative thing to say about this fire.

Love this fire, you can hear it running when using the heater, its not so loud it interfeers with anything, but we tend to use it only for effect which is great.

Just arrived looks lovely in my brick fireplace. Makes the room look very cosy most plessed with it.
Really realistic flame effects and chucks out a good bit of heat when you need it. Good price and delivery from amazon. Only minor gripe is lack of clear fitting instructions- I had to drill holes in the surround to screw it to the fireplace.
Removed the 100mm spacer, attached by 9 small screws and it did fit in to a 16″ space.
No sound from flame effect but usual noise from the fan heater.

We were delighted to find that on the flame effect setting there is no noise whatsoever. On the heat settings there is obvious noise but is easily covered by the radio or tv. I have noticed it doesn’t heat the room as fast as our old fire which had the same heat settings, and I don’t find much difference between the two when holding your hand under the blower. I only really notice the difference when we turn it down from setting 2 to 1 when the room has heated. Strange. But perhaps it’s just me. I also like the look of the fire. It really was a bargain I feel.
Got this for my elderly mother. She is delighted with it. She loves watching the flickering flames.
Looks great in situ, my only gripe is the fan heater is a little noisy, but I don’t think any of them come silent.
