Gift for my husband
After some hiccups with the first one sent Amazon kindly sorted out the problems with this one, which was broken in some way, anyway that didn’t work. I ordered another one and this came quickly and in excellent order, correctly packaged and with all items included. We didn’t realise that the first one must have been returned to them without an explanation untill we saw how the new one came, you had to put it together yourself, not part constructed as the first one came. Amazon cannot be faulted for their customer service and all the people that I spoke to were most helpful. Will update this review when my husband has had chance to use it a bit more but all is going well up to now.

Good machine for model making.
Set the fence carefully and the saw will give repeated accurate cuts in all a good machine. One minor complaint the assembly instructions could be better.
Well made and accurate.
Better than expected.
The machine was delivered spot on time and was very easy and quick to assemble. I expected to spend a little time setting up but the table was spot on 90 degrees to the blade and blade tension exactly right. The only thing to adjust were the blade bearing which takes only a moment and a slight tweak to get the blade running on the centre of the wheels . I’m a modeller so I’m interested in accuracy of small cuts. Within a few minutes I was able to cut consistent 1/32″ thick slices from a 1/2″ oak board, very happy with that for the price!
It runs very quietly too, no rattles, very few plastic parts, tools for adjustment included, clear instructions and a decent parallel guide with a good secure lock. Buy this one without worries!
Great new addition to my workshop.
Bandsaw is light enough to be portable in my small work area .works well in my hobby of making small wooden toys.
Does the job for quick cuts but not accurate
Its small and compact. Easy to set up.
Even after adjusting all guards etc its pretty hard to cut a straight line.
Its ok for me as Im making rustic items that dont need to be precise.

Would recommend for any woodworke
Easy to use and ideal for cutting shapes even with the supplied blade.

The process of carrying out routine checks of blade alignment, tension and guide alignment etc before each use, is essential to getting the best out of your bandsaw.

Needs sorting
It is a great bandsaw but the depth gauge plastic screw part broke within few days use. If they can sort that out it would be great.

The first Bandsaw arrived damaged in transit – sent in original packing box.
Contacted Draper within Five working days – damaged one collected and a replacement Bandsaw received.
This one arrived in a sturdy box cannot fault there response
Happy with the Bandsaw having checked it out works well.
A cut above.
This is a very good machine for the money. Have used it a few times already with ease. Only point I would make is that with a 6mm blade set to the centre of the top wheel, the back of the blade does not meet the upper thrust bearing, have obtained a 9mm blade to solve this problem, otherwise a nice machine.

Definitely worth considering
Quick delivery and well packaged, straight forward to assemble and easily enough to adjust, though the fence needed striping and realigning but nothing major, cuts straight as long as you let the sawblade do the work and don’t apply excessive pressure. Used on both soft and hard wood so far up to 50mm square gives a good clean cut. Generally a good well made machine, definitely worth considering

This is a machine you wondered how you managed without one. Pleased with the value for the money. I only cut relatively small modelling items and with the stock blade it will cut small radius easily and very sharp. Cuts foam block a treat.

Sturdy machine, guides are very good and easy to set up, I am pleased with purchase. Now I can get on with my model making.
This is a pretty good saw for the price. Delivery was very quick.
The set up of the saw took a while to get most of it in square, the mitre slot is out of square but that’s not a big concern if you know how to adjust the bed to make up for it.
Small issues are the extraction pipe comes off may be just mine but some glue has sorted that.
The blade that comes is ok for small use I would advise to buy a 6 tpi and skip tooth blade for curves and crosscuts and a 3tpi skip tooth for rip sawing it will make the world of difference.
The bed is not very solid some vibrations but with some small adjustments and a n extra bit of support from underneath it can be rectified.
I’ve cross cut and cut curves in white oak it seems pretty good for this and I’ve ripped up some walnut edges for a top I’ve made.
I will be cutting some wenge and African olive wood in the next few weeks and I will update my review once I’ve done this
All in all it’s good for a very small hobby or workshop.
Update.
Still works although I have almost of problems I have tried to fix
The guide alignment is nowhere near inline with the table slot the mechanism for tensioning the blade beads to be made better as it slips slot
The connection port for the extraction is poorly designed had to adapt my own to work
The mitre fence is way too sloppy of a fit so again had to make my own all in all of it were half the price it would be worth it.
If your looking for a bandsaw that will work hard I suggest buying a slightly more expensive 10inch bandsaw and some good blades

Great quality
Delivered on time, easy to put together exactly as described and works just fine.
This is a great little saw – any shortcomings are largely the result of its smaller size, pas you’d expect. It is vulnerable to stalling and the blade can wander on a 2″ workpiece, it is much happier with 1″ and below. I have bought a wider blade which definitely improves this, and has allowed me to cut firring pieces with good accuracy. It’s reasonably quiet and dead easy to set up.
Really useful for hobbyists
This was much better than I was expecting, the addition of the adjustable batons makes everything very repeatable. Runs smoothly with no vibration and the noise level is low.
Good for the price. My only complaint is the table which could have been better supported.
I’ve wanted a little hobby band saw for a while now but most within this price range don’t have very good reviews, even this one has a few bad reviews but I couldn’t be more happy with it. I’ve not had to fiddle with anything, straight out the box this is a wicked little bit of kit, even the blade is good. The guide rail is sturdy, it’s well made and I would strongly recommend this one.

after some time put it together fiddly aliening blade but got it about right the only thing the table not solid bends down if you press on it had to put some support under it when using cut well done my first two joints and very pleased with out come, also fitted small lights behind machine as hard to see the blade when starting cut , would be great if a little was fitted to machine like on pillar drills very pleased with Band saw
