A Great Machine
Endless uses
Never thought I needed one of these but now find many uses for it
A great little machine
Perfect prese
Bought as gift for hubby, it’s perfect for all his projects, and hobby.
Heavy duty but light on essentials
You will need a flex shaft to use the flexible extension. Then you’ll need a universal chuck because it only takes one tool size. The drill body is probably a bit heavy to hold and the speed and on/off controls are not conveniently placed for repeated operation. You may be better with something lighter.
Fantastic, like broadband!!
I am ‘over the moon’ with this product. It’s of course a quality item, very versatile with all of the attachments and accessories. It has limitless uses and to be truthful I don’t know how I have managed to live without it all these years. I said the same when we got broadband all those years ago!!
Well made. Versatile. Light. Easy to use.
As a crafter this tool is invaluable particularly the cutter sander and grinder. It is so easy to use. Love the varying speeds. Well worth the money.
Dream come true!
I’ve dreamt of a Dremmel for years! When my “unbranded dremmel” finally gave up the ghost (after many years use), I decided to invest, mainly because of all the extras you can buy. So far, I’ve not been disappointed.
Great piece of kit!!
Bought for DIY but have got into other projects and am having great fun! Zero experience working with wood in the past but finding the dremel easy to use and very versatile. Careful with the flex shafts though, they’re not as robust as the Dremel itself and I managed to break 2 almost immediately! Expensive errors but mostly my inexperience to blame.

Great rotary drill but changing attachments is a pain a purchased separate chucks

Just a brilliant tool to ow
First time getting a Dremel and it was brilliant it made me get a Dremel fortiflex for carving don’t know why I didn’t get one years ago.
Incredible range of uses
A wide range of included bits and attachments that will likely take me years to experience. The flexible shaft is super useful. I hang the Drexel up above the workbench then use the flex shaft to work on smaller more detailed jobs. The unit itself, with the super fast 30000 setting is more capable than its small size might indicate. Being cabled rather than cordless it is quite light to handle and also comes with different grips for additional control.
Great multi tool
Just the best thing ever. Does everything I want. Not too heavy and easy to use. I’ve used it for cutting floorboards, drilling small pieces of wood (with optional workstation) and engraving amongst others.
Superb tool
Not used too often but when I have needed it, it has been brilliant and save me hours of work. It is comfortable to use not too heavy and the tool changing system is good.

The Shetland pony of workhorses
For years I have used a B&D Wizard, bought as it was much cheaper then the Dremel, and it had served me well but had given up the ghost. As it is no longer available and I tend to avoid brands I have never heard of before, I went for the Dremel — and what a revelation.
The Wizard was good, and was admittedly now old, but this is in a different league. I also bought the circle cutter and was then bought the router attachment as a birthday present. Christmas brought a the gift of a pillar drill attachment.
The unit itself uses collets to hold attachments such as grindstones, cutting or sanding discs, burrs, drills, buffing, wire and polishing wheels and there is a variable speed from 5000 to 35000 which covers pretty well every situation from cutting bolts to drilling glass.
The Dremel 4000 must be a Godsend for model makers but for the rest of us it does have limitations. You might plug it in but it is not really a power tool in the sense we tend to understand the term. It can’t compete with full size drills, routers, grindstones and so on when it comes to big jobs, but then you would struggle to do a bit of fine sanding on a piece of scroll work with a DeWalt SDS drill.
It is a question of horses for courses and the Dremel is not designed for big jobs needing power and brute strength but it is remarkable just how many jobs for which it is the ideal tool and just how often you will find yourself using it, so much so that it becomes an essential bit of kit
It is light, easy to hold and can be used at any angle plus there is a huge range of accessories for everything from cutting tiles to engraving.
On the attachments I have it does a fine job as a small router and can cut circles or straight lines with ease on relatively thin wood so, if that is something you need, or something you want to do those are worthwhile attachments.
The drill stand, sold as the workstation, also doubles as a holder. The mounting for the drill can be turned 90 deg to hold the Dremel horizontally as a small grindstone or as a rotary detail sander. It also acts as a hanger for the main body when using the flex shaft.
Excelle
A very good kit this is a Christmas present so i have only tested it to make sure it works.
handy
bought this when on offer. was great value for money
Brilliant tool
Brilliant tool, use this frequently and never have a problem. Has a great variety of attachments available.
The flexible extension tool is great, allows you to get into any tight spots with ease.
Would defiantly recommend this.
Came exactly how it’s suppose to
Quick delivery, everything was packaged nicely. Will make a great gif
Fantastic!
A must have in every household!
You can not imagined how many times this tool has saved me.
When you need something delicate or hard to reach with large tool, Dremel will save you!
11/10 – Would Absolutely Recommend!
Lovely bit of kit.
Bought for hubby as the Dremel he had since they came out first finally died. He is really pleased with his new one and likes that everything is in one place i.e. the case.
Superb customer service
Having ordered one of these Dremel 4000’s it had some issues to whit it could not be used properly. I requested a return for replacement via Amazon. I have received the replacement which appears to be working fine. The customer service has been superb.
Right seeing as it was 109 I was expecting the dogs, and to all intents and purposes IT IS, but FORGET the instructions they are worse than uselesss, I could not even work out how attach a routing tool. After going through it with a microscope (the instructions ) I gave up on them and went to you tube on the net. If you put the name of it in and how do I use my Dremmel, there is a 14 minute video by some guy up north, who is meticullous in his explanation and after 10 minutes I had not only attached a tool bit, the are no spanners, its built in to the collar bit, but they dont mention the lock bit.He runs you through all the attatchments speeds, and how some pieces are not what you thought they were. So you may as well chuck the instruction manual and watch a video and it will be explained in graphic detail and you will be able to start using it. Other than that its great.
Great for intricate work
Excellent tool for doing intricate work, if you have the right attachments. I use mine to clean up signs made on the CNC. I’ve also used it to cut grooves in screws that have been damaged by a screwdriver, or to cut small metal pieces. There are endless possibilities.

Powerful & versatile tools with unlimited uses
I have been wanting one of these for a long time and finally bought one. Its a very well made, powerful tool that is proving to be extremely useful. I have a workshop full of large tooling but occasionally one needs to get into tight spaces – this is just the job.
All the difficult jobs i have struggled with now solved with the dremel.
So many times have i struggled to get into tight areas in order to cut off bolt heads or siezed brackets, down by the side of the engine where it is so tight or exhaust clamps hopelessly rusted in place requiring for the complete system removal, not any more the ‘Dremel’ is sufficiently small enough for those tight places yet powerful enough to cope with the worst of rusted nuts and brackets, speeds jobs up and puts an end to skinned knuckles.
Great quality great price
Great quality as you would expect from dremel, very Versatile piece of kit!
Fantastic all round - but expensive
I bought an Amazon warehouse reduced price saving me about 30. It should have cost about 180. I thought I would get the bigger kit as I liked the look of the Dremel toolbox it came in. The tool box is rubbish. Very cheaply made and the draw that keeps the spare parts in keeps opening when i walk around with the box. Have had to add some velcro to keep it shut.
Worth the extra for storage case
Paid extra for the storage case option and am pleased I did…good sturdy case to keep everything safe. Dremel is amazing. It’s my second. The first i had for 25 years.

Powerful tool.
Good tool for precision work.
I got the hand tightened chuck separately. Saved a lot time messing around with the small spanner.
The extension is very handy and easy to use.
The collette lock can stick from time to time but not really that much of a problem.
Whatever you get has to be used.. to see if its operat prope
The cable which has a rode inside and connects to the nuzzles doesn’t work no idea why? I paid a lot but it’s something unfortunate
Poor Dremel service
Bought this kit, and the lamp attachment didn’t work, so two option send it back…more wait time re-wrap and post, or as I did, I contacted Dremel with proof of purchase. Not a word, you may as well peer into a black hole they are useless, no answer nothing. OK the onus was on Amazon, but the hassle of sending it back and waiting for a replacement for this.
Dremel wake up to support your customers, rather than focus on selling, because next time I wont be there!
The number of accessories for the price was very good.
I liked the versatility, ease of use, and value for money of this tool.
Keep reaching for this - not sure why I didn't purchase earlier.
I previously owned a cheap knock off that lasted a couple of use and made a strange smell right out of the box. Really useless. This genuine Dremel is in a league of its own.
Very well balanced and just the right weight for fine work. Nice and stable. Outstanding build quality as you would expect. Useful carry case to keep everything organised with some good starter tool bits.
I’ve used the tool regularly for various polishing, grinding and cutting jobs. It has the power to do quite tough jobs. like cut and grind metal, with ease. Just be prepared to work up to (but not above) the maximum rpm for the tool bit as there is a marked increase in power available as you ramp up the rpm.
No regrets for opting for the no-nonsense always available mains version – ideal for my needs in the home and garage.
This model seems to be brushless as well as the access screws for replacing the brushes are blanks with no slots. (Going to double check this with Dremel.)
Does what its supposed to.
Its a Dremmel, has a good amount of attachments (depending what version you buy)
However… When using the grinding stone – don’t push against – it kills them… that’s why I bought this one, I killed my last one. I was trying to put a hole in a tool, so using the grinding stone, I was pushing against the tool, it was working its way through – but then just died… it had melted the internals .
Very impressed but take your time and be precise
Much more effective than I would have thought, I guess the real test comes when you want replacement cutters/ sanding discs for value for money.
Multi tool by Dremel what more do I need to say?
Great tool, have had lesser known brand in the past and the quality of this is so superior. Nice set of bits with it and rugged carry case. Dremel owned by Bosch so it should last.

So far - excelle
I have been using a Dremel 800 cordless for several years. The 800 continues to give great service for most jobs, but struggles a bit with heavy jobs such as routing for which I decided to buy the 4000. Reading other reviews, it looks like to price has doubled in a year or so.
The 4000 has plenty of power for routing. So far it has performed very reliably and the tools that came with it that I did not already own have proved very useful.
I have given “only” 4 stars because it feels like the price is now relatively high. I also want to know if it has any problems that I have not yet experienced. If it works as reliably as my old Dremel 800 I will update it to 5 stars.
Game changer how did I manage without it?
The original and best – game changer on every level love it.
Brillia
What can I say. I love my dremmel. I’m still discovering new projects to do with it. Brilliant piece of equipme
Good peace of ki
Good peace of kit, I think it’s a little expensive, but it seems to be pretty good so fa
Just get one
This started as a bit of treat yourself kit but ended up thinking I should have got one years ago. Extremely versatile and easy to use.
You get what you pay fo
My second tool in this category, the first one I purchased from Homebase (own brand) stopped working after a short period of time and was replaced, a few months later that one packed up too. After reading reviews decided to invest in the Dremel 4000 and immediately you could see the difference in build quality. Use it mostly for power carving, a job that it tackles with ease, like the quick change amongst other features. Happy with my purchase.
Great piece of kit.
Great piece of kit especially with the flexi tool, ideal for me while carving wich up to now thats all I’ve used it for as well as sanding. The variable speeds are excellent and overall its well designed. The kit comes with a number of accessories that I havent used yet although there will be a time when im glad I have them. The number of jobs that can be done with this tool is endless. Extra burrs and cutting wheels etc are easily obtained.
I think they could have included more burrs than they did,. On the whole I love this tool and its well worth 5 stars.
Must Have drill for hobby working
his is a cracking little drill, with lots of accessories,
the variable speed feature alone makes it worth having.
(if you are shaping wood with it, hi speed soon clears down to a basic shape, slow the drill down and you have total control over the finest of movements, down to a finished shape)
Very nice to work with especially with the flexible extension shaft.
If you need a mini drill – get this!
I never used other rotary tools – in fact, I’m new to this whole rotary tool thing, so take my review with a grain of salt and with understanding that I have nothing to compare it and don’t have decades of experience with tools.
This is overall a great set. Not perfect, but great.
Good:
– a storage box. Yes, this is important, because all of those drill bits and other stuff takes up space, so having a place to store everything at the outset is awesome
– documentation. If you’re new to everything rotary tools, it has a quick reference for RPM and types of materials you would use attachments for.
– lots of attachments. This doesn’t have every attachment out there, but it gets pretty close to that. If you want a set you can do pretty much anything with (bar some very specialized jobs), this is the one to get. The snake-like thingie is particularly useful for very fine jobs.
– good variety. It doesn’t have everything, but it has a lot to try out and decide what you want more of.
Bad:
– the box is cheaply made (it is not metal). The middle joint already prevents the box from closing, so I have to push it in every time. Retractable shelf is a nice touch but again, feels very flimsy.
– lots of wasted space. Honestly, all this foam is using up space which could’ve been put to better use
– light on accessories. It has a lot of attachments, but doesn’t have nearly enough raw materials (grinding stones etc) in it to last a while. Get a cheap twenty quid box of Dremel-compatible accessories with your order.
Overall, great value for money. It’s a shame that the box isn’t as good as it could’ve been.
Quality
Excellent quality you can not go wrong with a dremel.
Lots of unexpected extras in the box
This was bought during lockdown and when it arrived my husband was really delighted that it contained lots of extras and was compact in a sturdy case
The very first thing I did with my Dremel was……. ‘fix’ my Dremel.
Or to be more accurate one of the attachments, the line and circle cutter. Everyone knows that you cannot mark/cut an accurate circle if you are pivoting around a slanted pivot pin, no matter how small a deviance, you will end up with ellipse… Oh Dremel… You make good tools, but your quality control is all over the place.
I did what everyone (I would imagine) does when getting something new, I examined it, everything was fine except for the line and circle cutter. As you may have already gathered the pivot pin was slanted, which I only noticed because I intend to cut the smallest circles it can do ~19mm Dia. So when I brought the pivot pin as forward as it would go towards the tool cutting bit, it got caught on a screw that holds the tool clamp, because the screw itself had been screwed in at a slant and was raised above it’s hole which in turn made the platform the pivot pin was welded to slant, and therefore the pivot pit itself wasn’t vertically perpendicular to the horizontal. So I got out the flat grinding bit and proceeded to true up the screw head.. All’s good, yeah?…. No.
The pivot pin was still at a slant, Ahhhh, I notice there was a slight bump on the platform that the pivot pin was on because it poked through to the other side, ever so slightly, because of it’s weld.. so again, I ground that out. “Finally”, I thought, and examined it again.. now it was slightly slanted in the opposite direction. Obviously Dremel had tried to compensate for the inaccuracy introduced by bad welding, by making the screw head protrude slightly (or that’s what I tell myself).. So in the end I had to introduce a thin shim to under the pivot pin platform to compensate for it’s overall slant, something I could have done to begin with, without the grinding… Oh Dremel.
To be honest, I love this little machine, it’s handy, versatile and will do the jobs you need it to do.. it’s a 5 star product. However I do not expect to futz with it out of the box in order for it to be able to do it’s advertised functions accurately.. so you lose a star for that… Oh, Dremel.
Quality
Well made robust easy to use,, designed and made to high standard, already made huge impact on my work
( retired hobbyist) love it 10/10
Absolutely BRILLIANT tool
You will need more diamond bits. But this little machine literally does EVERYTHING. I absolutely love it!
With the click on tools it is even easier. Don’t skimp on your bits. Poor quality bits will not show you the true versatility of this device
Great DIY ki
This is a brilliant DIY kit, particularly with all the tools and attachments provided in this set.
It is very robust, well-made and a high-quality handset.
May not need it ‘every day’, but it has a ‘bit’ for just about every task you would expect (and even some you wouldn’t).
Had a small issue with this after some time, but this was very efficiently resolved (via Amazon), and back up and running in less than 24 hrs.
Great value kit.
Great kit all you need to get started, recomend you get the chuck to replace the collettes flexible drive is a real bonus.
Should have got one ages ago.
Wanted one of these for age’s. Always doing jobs where i thought this would be handy. Good strong case. Lots of attachments. And got for a good price. Happy.
Perfect tool.
Well as always another great dremel product. Nearly everything you could ever want in one package. Was a bit skeptic about the quality of the case but it’s great. Very sturdy and made to a high quality. So everything is perfect. A rare very well presented tool
Good quality!
All good so far!
I expect many years of high performance from this tool.
I chose this one over the 4300 because I just felt it might be the better choice. Can’t remember exactly what the reasoning was now, but it was complex!

The force is strong with this one.
This is a fantastic bit of kit, the extension makes life so much easier, and with it being as powerful as it is, it has no problems when put to the test,
The only thing I can think that is better than it is a light-sabre.
Good machine. Worth the price
Works well, powerful, nice choice of accessories for a starter kit. I like using the handpiece rather than the device itself, as I have a better control over it.
Worked like a charm!
It was a flash sale, almost 50% down.
Arrived at Xmas holidays, sturdy, powerful enough to cut, grind and polish. Tested it thoroughly at about an hour and worked super fine., even with the extension cable.
I would definitely recommend it.
Magic little tool
Brilliant little drill set. I have already stripped several vintage oil lamps with this and works a treat. Very low vibration levels even at high speed. Super sturdy and comes with a nice carry bag which is big enough to include all your other bits and bobs. If it doesn’t break within the next few months of heavy usage, then this is a very good product. I would recommend.
Fantastic. Great price and package for an actual Dremel.
I’ve seen some reviews of people complaining about the bits not fitting in the chuck. The chuck is fully tightened when you unpack it. You need to loosen it by holding the lock button, then the bits will fit…
But otherwise it is a great package and has everything you need. The Dremel cutting discs are far superior to any other rotary tool system I have used. The quick lock and release system is great.
Well protected and there is protection inside the drawe
I bought this for my husband as a thank you present and he LOVES it better than I expected thankyou
Love i
Bought it as a Christmas present for my husband who is a builder and he loves i
Solid and good quality.
Been thinking and mulling over for years. Never quite need it often – weekly basis- but when it’s required, it’s a lifesaver. 4000 is probably the best in corded Dremel. Had it for almost two months, did some work on it, nothing to complain about. It’s working well. Love it.
It's a Dremel: what's not to like?
My late pal, a remarkable man who died in 2004, always boasted that he had a Dremel and I didn’t. Well now I have. Got this kit on an Amazon offer at a terrific price and it’s lived up to its reputation. Dremel’s only competitor that I know of is the German company Proxxon, which I recommend you browse as well.
Be aware that these drills can reach rotational speeds that are sufficient to destroy tool bits if misused. I wasn’t: see photo 🙁
A super useful bit of kit.
It’s a Dremel.
It’s well made, it come with some bits and pieces to get you going, what more needs to be said?
box looks like R2D2
he box kind of looks like R2D2 – so five stars for tha
Great tool
Bought this for the wife and grandkids to do arts and crafts with.
Its battery operated and works great.
Holds the charge in storage and last a good while.
Plenty of starter tools come with it.
Good quality but the Low speeds are not steady.
For this amount of money you would expect perfect product but unfortunately when you set lower speeds the regulator doesn’t work as expected. The speed is not steady and you can feel strange vibrations.
I still would recommend this rotary tool because of the high power and overall quality.
Thank you for taking time and reading my reviews
Get instruction!
From looking around, it’s good value. Only used last night and due to impatience, plus lack of clear instructions I ended up with a broken ‘bit’, and a sore bleeding nose. Good thing I wore safety glasses! Have to watch more YouTube.

Good Versatility, good value for money, lots of attachments
I bought this as I can no longer get spare parts for my black and decker wizard. While this isn’t as powerful as the Wizard, the range of attachments, and versatility makes it almost as good. I will be getting the drill press for this, and love the container it comes in.
Great accessories
This Dremel pack is perfect for the first timer. It comes with a variety of useful accessories for the hobby enthusiast to small DIY jobs around the home. They are all packed in a very handy and sturdy carry case. Highly recomended and great value.
Dremel's good but not the bits
It’s a Dremel. Meets all my expectations of a Dremel could do with more bits as bits are pricey so it’s often better to get multi part set as individual parts are overpriced or get cheap Chinese bits and chew through them.
Excellant Service
Really good price for a high quality item, arrived really quickly and very well packaged
Be aware of Amazon warehouse purchases
I bought this as a replacement for my old Dremel 3000, this is the usual Dremmel high quality and well presented.
My only criticism and it is more of Amazon than Dremel is that I ordered a discounted version from Amazon Warehouse advertised as some damaging to packaging but otherwise perfect. No where on the advert did it say the warehouse version is fitted with a European 2 pin plug and not a UK 3 pin plug.
It’s not a big enough issue for me to want to return it but I would have probably paid for a full price model if I’d have known at the time.
Can't wait to use i
The problem is now that I don’t know which project to tackle first, should’ve bought one of these years ago. Looks a really nice bit of kit.
A useful bit of kit in a neat box of its own.
I brought this to refurbish grouting between bathroom tiles. The bathroom has underfloor heating so great precision was required. With the diamond disk I managed to cut out all of the grouting without damaging the tiles. It paid for itself on this task along and it can now be used for a wide range of other tasks.
Spins things really fast in a small form factor. Can cut, sand, engrave and polish.

In short the crafting tool that can do the odd “big” job very well.
Open top the drawer to avoid annoyance
I liked the tool, all the accessories and tools BUT there should be a warning that you cannot open the drawer without opening the top first, I was on the point of sending it back after 2 days of frustration thinking I had somehow jammed it.
If you are creative then it is a tools to have around
There is so much you can do with a Dremel handy Little tool to have because you never know when you are going to use it,it is good to engraving yr name for personal items

Great set and case keeps it all togethe
Great set with a nice sturdy case to keep everything in. Great value for money I paid under 110 for it as a deal of the day. Very happy with it.
My third dremel type tool is a... Dremel!
Why didn’t I get one in the first place? After all, they are not that overpriced. It is better and does feel like it is doing the job rather than trying.
Still, I’ve got a load of ‘dremel type’ attachments now to go with it..

Nice!
Tool and accessories nicely packaged in the carry box. I am very pleased with the Dremel and already putting it and the accessories to good use with window repairs.
Best bit of kit I’ve bought in a while! 🙃
Absolutely fantastic piece of kit, I waited for prime day deals and got this at a brilliant price, I won’t say how much because I don’t want peeps to lol
Is it worth buying at the full price, most definitely, the tool box on its own is very nice and it’s very well built and with all the accessories, bits & bobs etc. Bargain!
Definitely worth getting one for all the jobs around the house or buy it for your workshop etc.
The 4000 has great control when using it and there just so much you can do using this little baby!
Cracking piece of ki
This is a wonderful piece of kit, I have a smaller type machine already, however it is not a patch on the Dremel, it is a wonderful machine, I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for such a product.

Really like this
Only really wanted the Rotary tool but when I saw this package I couldn’t resist. The tool box is as good as tool boxes get. Had noticed a number of reviews complaining they couldn’t fit anything in the drawers other than the supplied tools. I just took the foam out and I fitted in all of my model making stuff with ease. I live in a flat so have no workshop but now I have everything in one place so making stuff is very much easier. The rotary tool itself is spot on and the accessories are useful. Plenty of different bits too along with a good selection of expendables. Price wise it was luxury end and a bit steep but as a package it was just what I needed so I can live with that.
Dremel rotary tool.
This Dremel is a great piece of kit. I am just starting to learn power carving wood. I thought this tool would be a good place to start and am not disappointed. I know you can buy more powerful tools, which are much more expensive, but as a starter I think this tool fits the bill. Of course it is also useful for many other tasks.
Quality and easy to use
Brilliant multi tool that you only use for half of its capability!!
I used this to cut and shape small fibreglass holes on a console. Perfect for this and drilling quick holes for screws. The flexibility of the attachment tool is tremendously useful
Many other attachments I haven’t used yet, but can see this in the future.
Easy to use
Even my granddaughter like using the Dremel . The photo of her carving for my shed
