Just what you would expect!
I am very happy so far with my toaster. Simple to use, quick and reliable. I like being able to check the toast mid-cooking to see if all is right. Not much else to say other than make sure you follow the instructions and you should be happy
Best toaster eve
My last Dualities toaster I inherited when we took over a catering business. We were there 18 years and it was used daily. When we left the business was being disbanded so we took it with us. It gave up the ghost another SIXTEEN years later. What’s more to say?

These toasters are not cheap but it is very easy to use and looks great.
I would recommend after years of buying 10 toasters from the supermarket that don’t last the year!

We were very impressed with the robust and sturdy look and feel of the toaster. It looks to be of very good quality. We were particularly enthusiastic over the separate browning controls for the two sets of toast slots — that is quite helpful for us as we like different levels of browning.
We also liked the separate ‘bagel’ control for toasting hot cross buns and tea cakes; with our old toaster is was difficult to set it just right.
In short, we can see no cons. We are very pleased with our purchase and would most definitely recommend to new customers.

We had an old style Dualit toaster, the ones that don’t pop up. I really hated it – it was so bad, it burnt one side, but left other side undercooked, and I hated the whole twisty timer bit. This however is fantastic. Love the bagel setting and the setting for frozen bread. And I don’t worry about my house burning down!

I really like the Dualit brand, the products are very modern, classy and tasteful, they are very high quality which is what I like. produces perfect toast every time, quick to heat so your toast if done fast.
Excellent toaster.
Robust, takes 4 lots of toast – so my husband and I can make our own toast at the same time. Toasts evenly, can put thicker items in eg teacakes etc. Easy to clean (crumb tray pulls out from bottom). We get through toasters quite quickly, partly because we cut our own bread etc, and thicker slices can come in contact with elements. Haven’t had this problem with this toaster as toasting slots are a generous size, so hopefully it will last.

It its with a very sad heart that i have to say that after five years since I’ve purchased my toaster, that it has decided to leave me behind and go to toaster heaven! However it has served me wonderfully over the last 5 years and I loved every toast that came out of it! Wonderful product will buy again!

Love this toaster. It’s the 2 slot model as there are only the two of us now. (Empty nest syndrome!)
The heat settings give a fine degree of control whilst the ability to pop the toast up for inspection without it turning the heat off is a excellent facility.
Very competitively priced too. All in all, very pleased with it.

It was an easy choice to replace our ageing Dualit toaster which has given us years of great service with essentially the same model. Good looks, consistent and reliable performance and large enough to accommodate a range of breads and sizes – straight from the freezer if necessary.

So far so good. Easy to use and clean. Once you’ve set toast preferences to liking, can be left at that setting. Can toast 2 pieces differently at same time. Like the ability to check toast midway, without having to start again.

A superb toaster. I like this brand as they are very reliable and built to last. In fact the old 2 slot is still going. I purchased this almost by accident as the timer on my old Dualit kept getting stuck and on occasions burnt the bread. I purchased this one as a back up whilst I repaired my old toaster. Little did I know that parts for Dualit toasters are easy to source and easy to repair. Having said this, the 4 slots is a godsend and until I purchased one, I did not realise how useful this actually was, especially if you have hungry children. This 4-slot toaster does not have a rotary timer like the old 2-slot one it replaced (maybe there is less to go wrong) and the new 4-slot toaster adjusts the time taking to toast the bread depending on how hot the toaster gets so in theory you do not have to keep varying the “browning” control. It seems to work. I also like the look and feel of this toaster and it takes pride and place in my kitchen.

A very good toaster from Dualit. Simple to use and the setting dials work really well and accurately. It’s not quite a 5 star though. The buttons could do with a bit of work. But otherwise … very good.

I have had many cheaper toasters which either ubevenly cook the toast or half the bread sticks out of the top and never gets. Toasted. Or slots are too narrow for thick slices of bread

Smart and stylish on the worktop, perfect results with everything we’ve tried toasting which includes thick and thin bread, crumpets & tea cakes so far. Each double slot side can be independently set to preference and product. Certainly speeds up breakfast. Just be aware this four slot model is pretty huge in it’s footprint.

Our family is strangely critical of toasters that don’t toast bread evenly on both sides. This is one of the more expensive toasters out there but thankfully it’s passed the family toasting challenge toasting evenly on both sides in all four slots regardless of whether your toasting just one of four slices at a time. Phew! It looks good too, is robust and the ability to lift the toast part way through the toasting cycle to see how brown it is, is really quite handy. 4 stars rather than 5 because it’s a tad on the expensive side.

Lovely toast from a good-looking toaste
The toaster looks great in my kitchen. More important: it makes toast that tastes like it’s done under a gas grill: crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I also love its ‘bagel’ setting, where you can toast things like bagels and teacakes just on the one side–so no more choosing between under-toasted or incinerated top and bottom!

A very good product that actually seems to work as expected. Our old (and very faithful) toaster had become a little temperamental so it was time to change. We ordered, and tried, three different replacement toasters before finding this Dualit model. The other models were very poor performers and simply didn’t seem to do what they were built to do, i.e. toes a slice of bread. This Dualit is well built; looks great; easy to use and gives a very even toasted slice of bread. We’re keeping this one…..

Brilliant toaster – toasts bread just as you’d expect but the lift up handles so you can check progress without stopping the process is great. It also looks great and is very well made.
A great toaster that simply toasts to perfection. Bread comes out very well toasted so much better than previous toasters in that the bread has a good all over toasted finish. Very quick as well – surprisingly quick and the textured finish is so much better than in the pictures and beats the smooth granite finish option hands down!
The other great feature is the preview mode where you can lift out the toast to see progress and pop it back in where it left off. Very handy. Can’t recommend this enough. Love it.

However the number of times you are told to unplug when not in use is very alarming; it is even engraved on the toaster! I know we won’t do this all the time and I’m sure we are not the only ones. If this is truly a safety issue it should be resolved and not passed on to the consumer as their responsibility

Browns evenly, and the bun rack which I bought separately, is particularly useful. When I defrost rolls from the freezer they are always soggy, with the bun rack they crisp up again perfectly.

Had this toaster for a few days now and like it’s appearance and functionality. Seems to require the 7 setting for equally browned toast which is pushing it a bit!. Anything less than 7 and the toast is underdone, suppose it had still been underdone at 8? Nice looking bit of kit but if it is indeed made in Britain why don’t they boast about it?

Excellent toaster. Bought to replace a short-lived toaster, and this one is going strong so far. The feature where you can lift the toast to see how it’s doing, whilst toasting is still in progress is very useful. Ditto the ‘bagel’ setting which lets you toast just the inside of the slice. Well made and shouls last for years (I hope!).
Retro and solid desig
I gave this as a present to a friend so I can’ t vouch for the long term use, however out the box it looked very impressive in design, solid and retro. It fitted perfectly with the owners kitchen. It did make perfect toast on the occasion that I tried it. Italao can cope with bagels and buns which is the main reason I bought this.

Took me a while to choose a toaster and I am happy with this. Toasts evenly, fast enough, consistent. I like the sandwich cages for toasting small items like slices of baguette
It is a little hard to clean as there is a ridge between the chrome and the colour finish so crumbs stick in there.
You don’t always noticed it has finished as the bread stays in the toaster rather than pops up (use the levers to pop it up) but it stays warmer that way

They are very good and having four slots both of us can have our toast at the same time. The lift up levers are very useful. The bagel button and the defrost one are also very useful

Nobody gave us a toaster for our wedding, so we finally decided to buy our own. We have been married 28 years! This 4 slice toaster from Dualit is both a joy to look at and a joy to use. The controls feel solid and well made with an overall impression of quality. Some reviewers have said it only toasts on one side. I wonder if they have accidentally pressed the bagel button which is designed to only toast the insides of a sliced bagel. We love it.

Bought from Amazon Warehouse & a bit wary when it said ‘used’, would it arrive full of old crumbs? No need to worry, this toaster is a thing of beauty as it sits on my worktop and is in sparkling new condition yet 20 cheaper. It is quite large & don’t regret the expense for this beautiful yet practical, mere toaster. Would recommend to anyone. About to buy the sandwich toaster cage now from warehouse. Well recommended toaster & Amazon Warehouse. Also arrived beautifully packed & very quickly. Well done all round.

I chose this particular toaster after extensive research on the web. I didn’t want to pay a fortune but, neither was I looking at the lower priced models in the market. Whilst looks are one of the features you might consider as important, performance has to rank somewhere near the top of the reasons for choosing a particular make/model. In my research, I found there was a common problem/complaint with toasters that was cropping up time and time again, and that was of inconsistent and uneven browning. It seems that whilst the first commercial electric toasters have been around since c1910, the technology to produce a consistent evenness of browning on your slice of bread has demonstrated very little progress. During these 100 years we have sent men to the moon, discovered many new subatomic particles, travelled to the depths of the oceans and discovered distant galaxies billions of light years from earth but, we still cannot make a machine that will give us an even toasted slice of bread, each and every time.
So why do I give it 4 stars you ask. Maybe because it’s probably one of the better toasters around, after sadly accepting their inherent inability to do consistently what they are designed to do.

what can i say before this i could only toast big bread by cutting off the crusts. now all my troubles are so far away…unless i want to eat Scottish plain then I still need to shave 5mm off the crust to get it to fit. Only tiny criticism is that I think it dries the breas out compared to my old toaster which made nice toast even with medium slice…this one is better with thick slide for toas

A bit pricey for a toaster but in my opinion – well worth it ! We are very pleased with the quality of this product and delivers perfect toast every time. We have had mend toasters over the years and I think this is probably the best we have had
After sending the first one back after a few months because one side stopped working this one is great. Does what its supposed to do and looks very smart.

Fabulous Toaste
I am so very pleased with this new Dualit toaster. Much lighter than the traditional Dualit and matches the chrome and red kettle perfectly. I bought the kettle earlier this year and was worried they would not match, knowing Dualit I should not have worried!
Having previously had a Dualit Classic toaster which finally gave up the ghost I decided to try this one given that its nearly half the cost of a new Classic.
Even though the sides are black hard plastic theres a good solid quality feel and no problems with attachment to the main steel body.
Two independant levers on the front to pop up your toast to check it’s progress without having to trip the timers off.
The two browning timers are independent of each other handy if you like different levels of toasting. There are two other buttons on the front for defrosting and for doing bagels or buns.
Theres a cable clip on each side ot the base so you can run the cable to the side most convenient to the power socket.
On the rear at the base of the plastic is a handle underneath … pull on this and the crumb tray pulls out. This design is much better than the Classic’s … larger and easier to handle.
Overall can’t fault it so far and looks great on the kitchen worktop.
This is a good enough toaster and I am happy enough with it. The one thing which really surprised me was the colour. The images here portray an orange or flame red. The actual product is a very bright cherry red. The shade depicted in the kettle on amazon looks completely different to the toaster but it is the same shade in reality. I know colour may not be important but the toaster does not have as much of a retro look as I expected.

Needed and new toaster and kettle, so decided to buy this with the matching kettle. Wanted to try the more expensive end of the market for this equipment for a change. Huge toaster and slightly small kettle, but the toaster is great!!! They look lovely, but more importantly they work well. Bought the sandwich toastie cages to slot inside, which has gone down well with the family!!!
Wow! What a toaster!
Let me just start by saying I absolutely love Dualit products. But this toaster is definitely something else! I’ll tell you one thing, it’s not for the faint hearted! And I am talking about its size. When I ordered it online, I didnt quite realize the massive size! So when I opened the package I was a little shocked but also pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful, vibrant red. Let me tell you, though. You need a lot of counter space for this one. That’s as far as its looks go. As for the way it works, it is perfection. It has two handles so you can work the two sets of toasters separately. If you need four slices of bread you hit them all, otherwise you only work half of the toaster which is impressive. The crumb drawer is also excellent for easy upkeep and cleaning. The bagel function is great if you are a bagel fan like me and the defrost feature is also very handy. This toaster also turns into a quick and easy sandwhich maker if you add those little sandwich cages. Brilliant buy, well worth its money!
Perfect toaster,,,,, almost?
The big bro to this toaster is of course a design classic and is made perfect by the fact that you can replace parts (timers and elements seem to fail most often). Even armed with this information I preferred the look and price point of this toaster!! It has had a major positive effect on my life,,,, I am an Architect and single parent (busy and broke). This toaster has shaved significant time off my week. My 15 year old can make toasted sandwiches (no chance of getting him to sit down and eat) and breakfast is wizzy quick!! I can feed both of them on a budget and with minimum fuss. The key winning point of this piece of kit is the awesome sandwich cages,,, which should be included!! Here is a HOT tip,,,,, microwave your sandwich for 30 secs/1 min before toasting them,,,, this could bring back the toasted sandwich in a big way,,, no mess easy clean (forget the Breville and those bad old days!!). I have also (re)discovered bagels,,, the bagel function really does make them taste better.
On the negative side,,,, Dualit have missed a massive trick in not making the elements and timer replaceable because I feel that failure of these parts is inevitable. For example a bit of bread from a sandwich found its way to the element the other day which lead to alot of smoke, a bright blue POP and a blown fuse! Luckily the element was ok,,,, this time! I am sure with a tweak or two they could make these parts replaceable,,, if they did they would have a superstar,,,,, as it is it is a bit of a shooting start,,, great but will I’m sure die in a blaze of glory and a bigger bright blue flash!!
Had this for two weeks and so far it’s been a good relationship.
It makes toast – just like it should. And bagels, buns etc come out just right too.

Excellent, Sturdy and Looks Good.
Not only does this toaster look good,it is sturdy and built for purpose. The deforst function is excellent, as I tend to keep most of my bread in the freezer. It toasts thin to nice fat chunky home cut slices evenly, whether you like a pale or darker slice. It is a perfect fit for crumpets, muffins and the like. The crumb catching tray is easy to remove, clean and slides back in with ease. I especially like the function, which enables you to toast 2 slices without having all the slots on. All in all I have found it to be an excellent toaster and would recomend to anyone thinking of buying it.
Dualit. Had my previous toaster for 10 years before some buffoon ruined it. This one looks like it could last just as long. DO NOT waste money on inferior items, Dualit are the best by a country mile in my opinion. They just work and work and work. From what I can see – made in Britain as well – WOO HOO!!!!!
