Superb, functional and beautiful
This is by far the best toaster I have ever owned. The mechanism is smooth, the toasting is even, the crumb tray is effective and easy to clean. Most satisfying to use! Plus, it is so elegant and stylish, it gives me a warm glow every time I see it, just have to take a glance at it sitting there in the kitchen as I pass by!

Toasting is started by pulling down the lever on the front of the toaster, the lever can be raised to check browning or released early by pressing the centre of the timing dial. My only critic of the toaster is that the timing is not specific check points but each time is in a range, so 2 is a wide band from 1 to 3, wifey and I thus can only say roughly where the dial is set, this is confusing, “Where have you set it dear” (we are polite at breakfast) “Oh, near the three”. “I’m not sure what you mean, have you set it at two or three?”. And so it continues da de dah.
But is looks good and does a goodly nice toasting.

Looks good but expensive
I’m not sure it’s worth the money if I’m honest but it does look good! The toast isn’t much better than my old cheap toaster, but it is definitely faster and I do like the bagel option, it’s great for tea cakes and hot cross buns.

I love it. Really compact and stylish, even toasting across the bread/crumpet/hot cross bun!!! Not much more to say. Easy to use and adjust. Probably more than I would’ve wanted to pay for a toaster but hoping it will last a long old time!!

Duralit Architect Toaste
Really great little toaster and you can buy sandwich toaster “cages” to use with it. Temperature remains consistent with each use,unlike other ones we’ve had. It’s definitely worth the extra money and it’s made in the U.K.!

I got this because it sat somewhere in the middle, still pricey for a bread browner, but offered nice features like optional sandwich toaster racks, a bagel function and a lift to see progress, which is actually very neat indeed. There’s nothing worse than peering into your toaster and thinking, is it burning? It’s certainly a very solid thing, seems to do a consistent job and yea, looks quite nice too on our worktop. So overall top marks!

This replaced a classic style Dualit toaster that we have had for 25 years. Seeing that those ones are now 190 to replace I looked for alternatives and came across this one at 78.
Really thrilled with the quality, size of the slots and the eveness of the toasting.
Great still being able to pop the toast up to check it without having to cancel the programme.
I think this is better than the previous classic style one we had.

Most attractive 2 slot toaste
I am very happy with this toaster. It looks attractive, isn’t too big for my small kitchen and does the job well.
I needed to replace my old Dualit 2 slot and I tried to find a less expensive one that looked as good – but I gave up as I simply couldn’t find anything that fitted the bill! AND – the toast pops up – which was something lacking in the old toaster.
Getting the toasting heat right is proving to be tricky!
Well-made product however we are not getting on with it. Never seem to be able to get the colour of the toast right. It over cooks or undercooks all the time.

I like this toaster’ appearance, I like the way you can lift the basket to look at the toast but I’m not convinced that it’s any better than my ancient toaster that this on replaced. My husband complains about it only toasting on side of the bread!

Love this toaster. Also bought my Mom and Dad one. We have the matching kettle.I have had cheaper priced toasters in the past, but the Dualit has a much better build quality. Definitely worth the extra money. If you’re on the fence about paying a bit more for a toaster, i’d suggest you by it. I dont regret it.
Glad I bought a Duali
Only got this yesterday but it makes lovely toast- very evenly toasted and crispy. Also handy as it has facility to check on it without interrupting the grilling. Expensive for a toaster but I love it!

First Toaster I have bought that I can actually toast bread beautifully set at number 5. In over 46 years of marriage all the toasters I have bought burn on number 1-2. A joy to be able to colour coordinate it to my new kitchen too.

Seems like a robust trendy little gadget. It is more compact than the more traditional Dualit toasters, which suits me as I don’t have much countertop space. I also like the straighter lined finish to this model which make it look more modern. The shiny steel finish is easy to keep and I like the grey details that I chose to match my kitchen colour scheme.
I got this brand and model as a replacement to another that arrived very dented from the posted delivery (a cheaper Haden retro design 4 slice version). On inspection I realised there would be a good chance of a repeated order also arriving damaged as the whole product was quite lightweight and the side panels were particularly thin. My Dualit arrived without any issues and in comparison is much stronger and appears to be made to last.

After almost a years service I cannot fault this. It looks good and toasts well. With the (optional) sandwich cages it makes superb toasties. One occasion on completing a toast it did trip the house circuit but then our earth leakage is incredibly sensitive.

Amazing Toas
Couldn’t quite afford the classic two slice toaster but this does not disappoint. Goes lovely in a contemporary kitchen, and it makes amazing toast. Highly recommended.

At last a toaster that does not spread crumbs everywhere.
It is big! We like it as we have a big new kitchen, so it doesn’t look out of place, but check the dimensions before ordering as it could take up a lot of space! but great for family breakfast’s (2 adults +2 kids) or when we have guests!!
This however is A gem in a sea of rubbush. Yes it’s a bit more than your average toaster, but it’s well designed and we’ll build and doesn’t feel really cheap and flimsy like everything else around.

Toaster is extremely good. Needed it in a hurry after failure of previous one. Was lucky to find it in warehouse deals, sold as “used” but clearly was brand new in its box. Also had a gift token to help pay for it….otherwise it would have been much too pricey just to make toast! Very well made, looks nice, feels solid.

Great toaster. This was ordered to replace an old tefal which has only had 2 of it’s four slots working for the last 5 years or so. The toasting is much more even than the old one and each subsequent slice not overdone with the last. The peek and look feature is excellent too. It also looks excellent in the kitchen.

Fantastic
I have been meaning to treat ourselves to a “decent” toaster for ages but have been putting up with the old one for far too long. This Dualit toaster is fabulous, it looks the part and it really does perform well . It is substantial and I think I will have this for years to come.

Very sturdy and looks great on the counter.
