i would say this product is good for beginners. its fairly easy other than the fact that its hard to hit lower notes, it seems you have to push a lot for them and it will give you a couple headaches until you get used to pushing that hard. the embouchure hole is kind of like rounded rectangle, so if you’ve played any previous flutes you may or may not have to change your embouchure to fit this flute. plus id like to mention that the gloves are WAYY soft to be used in a marching band, the flute would just fall off into your palm. i find that this flute makes it difficult to hit f and e, in the high register and in the low register. its super light compared to my current flute and the keys feel weird to press on.
Very pretty flute and quite solidly made. Ideal first flute really. I was prepared for it to be rubbish bearing in mind how cheap it is but it definitely isn’t. I got it as a spare and am very impressed.

This flute is honestly amazing. But to be fair I was still surprised with the price; with the price I paid for, the quality, the design and the performance of the flute has exceeded my expectations. It came in a beautiful case with some extras, so it’s actually really easy for me to take it around, like when I go to my flute lessons or the studio. It actually comes with a fingering chart too, this is really helpful for a clumsy and forgetful guy like myself. I love how premium the flute feels with the materials used to make it but at the same time feeling light. I would definitely suggest buying this flute for anyone, whether you are just starting out playing this instrument or a pro; this flute can satisfy both a beginner’s and a pro’s needs!

Purchased this to attempt to learn the flute and I’m slowly but surely getting there!
At first I was sceptical about purchasing due to thinking it was “cheap” but I was wrong, the quality is there and it makes a beautiful sound. The buttons on the top are sturdy and well built making me think this will last me a good while before needing to purchase a new one / upgrade.
I’d recommend to anyone wanting to learn the flute or as a gift for others wanting to learn an instrument!
I bought this as I’ve always wanted to learn a wind instrument but found them always expensive… this flute is brilliant and it doesn’t break the bank. The bag it comes in is great for transportation along with the cleaning accessories and stand! A must buy if wanted to learn the flute!
I bought this as I wanted to learn a new instrument but I was not willing to pay a lot of money for a very good flute. However, I was really really impressed with the quality of the flute. It is heavy and the metal feels very sturdy. I’ve also managed to play some simple songs on it like Hot Cross Buns and it sounds quite good!
It also comes with an excellent range of accessories such as the carrying case, the stand which I love as well as all of the cleaning tools needed.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a beginners flute that still sounds good and can be played well.
Nice beginners flute for this price and comes with a complete package (comes with Hard Case, Cleaning Rod, Cloth, Flute Swab, Screwdriver Gloves and finger chart). I am not an expert with flutes but when I showed to to my music teacher, he is amazed to know the price of this superb flute and the accessories. The mechanics are functioning OK, no dead keys, or springs. The key action is the most responsive and the springs have a strong reaction. have to see how this lasts.

Great package for beginners which doesn’t cost a lot and in same time delivers good quality package.
It came with double zipper waterproof nylon case. It has E key system ideal for younger beginners.
Also has cork at top of the bore which limited capacity to move.
Also came with finger chart , great for learners.
Overall nice package , great quality considering it’s cost it’s great value for money. It also comes with carry case, shoulder strap, cleaning rod and flute stand.
Am just learning flute so don’t have a-lot to compare this too. But its has a nice tone and seems really well made. Has been really good fun.

I learnt flute at school and to this day still wished i had kept up the lessons. I saw the flute on sale just before xmas and took the plunge and bought it along with some beginner flute music books. Whilst all the books and leaflets gave adequate information about playing the instrument i found it so much easier to watch a youtube tutorial. After that i was flying through the books and playing all the tunes. The flute is well made, a gorgeous teal blue colour and the note/hole buttons/keys feel well made and move effortlessly. The sound that comes from the flute is mellow and low. Overall i was extremely pleased with the instrument and would highly recommend.
Bought this for my mother for Christmas and she was amazed by the quality for the price. It’s great condition and high quality. After years of not playing she felt really comfortable again with it. A great gift!

Used to learn flute at school for a while and at the ripe old age of 62 thought I would give it another bash, but really didn’t want to spend a fortune, so this product was the ideal choice. Great value for money package, nice useable instrument and a cool blue colour which was a bonus. I was employed in the musical instrument industry most of my working life and sold some of the top brands, so I was cautious about purchasing a product so inexpensive. However it has surpassed my expectations and I highly recommend this product.

This was a birthday present for my 10 year old daughter who started learning the flute at school. She was extremely happy with the colour! I am not familiar with flutes so I can only go by what she has said but she feels it sounds better (which I will agree with) and feels better to use than the one at school. She is very impressed!

it’s a very good flute for beginners/ intermediate level, easy to play to, no problems at all, great value for money.
when I studied the flute, about 25 years ago, my parents opted for a borrowed instrument at first and, after I got some experience, they purchased an used, quite dodgie one, that I could only use for study. if I had back then an instrument like the one that I recently bought, I would probably perform outstandingly.
so, for me it’s a dream come true.
P.S. I hope I won’t have any problems in the future but, just in case, I purchased a two year insurance from Amazon.

So impressed with this flute, I had played as a kid and found this really easy to use even though I’d not touched one since 2006. Definitely recommend! Not sure how well it’ll wear but absolutely worth the money if you’re not sure about making a huge investment.
I have always wanted to play a flute, I don’t know much about them, I read the reviews on this one and watched the video every one was good, so I got it, and to be honest, I think for the price it is great, I love it, I’v been playing it for a few days now. excellent.

I am a complete beginner on flute and tenor sax this year, thanks to prime day I got the Eastar EFL-2 silver plated flute for 58! There are saxophone ligatures that cost more than this. Unbelievable.
Right, in the box there is everything you need to get going including a slightly confusing fingering chart. I recommend getting the flue app called fingercharts, much better. I have been impressed with the overall quality of the product even though mine had a small area of black tarnish on the body. The key and pads seem good to me.
The key feature to note is the screwdriver…….i was struggling to get a clean low G and anything out of the low F. The reason was the G sharp key required half a turn on the adjustment screw to seat properly. Much better results.

This came very quickly. It sounds great and comes in a lovely case with all the cleaning equipment and a stand. Now all I have to do is sort myself a teacher.

I’ve never played the flute but always wanted to. Its a little harder than I thought it would be but this was definitely a lot cheaper than most others I saw and I liked the colour. Can’t fault it yet but I’m no expert so who knows.. Personally, I’m happy with it!
Bought for a friend to give to his estranged wife for her birthday (he doesn’t have an Amazon account). She no longer plays his pink oboe and he wanted something to keep her occupied while they are going through mediation. Came in the usual excellent packaging but as it wasn’t for me I didn’t open it. Have been told it fit the bill.

The flute has a good sound quality but takes a bit of getting used to for pitching notes. The quality for the price is considerable but things like key tightening and regular through cleaning for maintaining the note clarity are cons .
This flute seems to be of good quality, included in the handy carry case is everything you need to take care of this really pleasant instrument. The only thing I didn’t like was that the card displaying the kets/notes was a little small in font size
I bought this as a lockdown pressie as I played while growing up. It’s a lovely little instrument, everything’s sturdy, makes a lovely sound, and the case has room for the little bits you need gor good maintenance. It’s a lovely weight as well.

Lovely well built flute, looks feels and weighs the same as my old Yamaha. Only snag is the F is a bit fuzzy and i have to work hard to get a clear sound but I adjusted quickly to it. For ths price I actually expected worse so I am very happy with my purchase.

I was so happy at the quality of flute, the case fits nicely with plenty of room to store the stand and cleaning cloths and tools.

Now for some facts ,this instrument is very light weight sound quality is good but naturally if at intermediate orchestra level ide be looking at a high speck instrument ,the colour is bright so for a school orchestra it would be good value and for a begginer it has everything you need without it being too pricey
There was no sharp unfinished bits on mine as some others had .all the pads are good quality. You may have to tighten the tiny screws so keys close properly but that’s fine as it comes with tiny screw driver.
Had my first flute now over 20yrs but too costly for repair hence buying this flute for hobbie. Not sure how well this flute will last but deffently as others say a great begginers flute.
This has to be a five star review. The flute fits exactly the kind of music I create. I can a strong sound and navigate the instrument with confidence and relative ease, if I may say. I can’t fault it. I’ve been using it to create pieces that reflect the ups and (mostly) downs of lockdowns, not clear on rules and where we may be headed. So this flute is close to my heart. Mine however is green rather than blue. And how can it be this cheap? I’ve spent as much money on a penny whistle.
So glad I treated myself to this flute as a end of school year homeschool teachers gift hehe I have always wanted to learn the flute (and how to read music) so now I can follow my dreams as I would never have been able to afford a bigger brand name. Loads of fab accessories too!
Excellent value for money. I suspect that some of the other reviews that say things such as they could not get low notes and they could only play it for a short time and then could not get any notes is simply down to technique. I play a number of instruments but am new to the flute and this is a great instrument to learn on and to play. And I just love the colour.
As you can imagine, this is a western concerto flute, and it behaves as such. The experience feels extremelly close if not identical to student flutes that have a price tag of 400 pounds. (at least in my opinion). To-go product if you want to just “try out” or go a bit beyond the beginner level, worth every penny.
Reminder that this is a c-foot flute, that means the lowest note you can play is middle C or C4. Unlike other flutes that have b-foot that allows you to play one semitone below C4: B3… Last time I checked, the price jump for this small note is mind-boggling.
Did I mention it comes with case, wiping things and screw driver? Amazing deal. Would recommend to anybody who wants to try things out.
I’m very glad with this. I was able to learn to play the flute by myself. It’s really good for a beginner. The only thing that I find is that it stains quickly, so you need to be careful with this.
It hits all notes perfectly and it’s easy in handling.
All in all very happy with it.

As a very first flute, this ticks all the boxes.
I bought a tuner and every note plays true, straight out of the box.
A bit hard to do the very very low notes…….but I am starting my flute journey, so possibly could be more to do with me than the flute.
At the very least, it will teach me the fingerings and breathing and holding etc etc etc before I decide I fancy a Geimanhardt or something to progress onto.

I bought this as a quick fill in following my flute dying on me .It came so quick.Had a panick thought wasnt working then realised I needed to remove the little bits under the the back of the keys.It works well .Obviously only just had it , it wont be my main flute but for the money .Its very good . This product is incredible for the price. 80 for the silver model. Open holes which are bunged off.
Little to no difference between this and an entry level flute at around 200-400. You’d need a 500+ to seriously appreciate any subtle difference. This will simply not matter to a beginner flautist. Do not spend any more on a beginner flute than this one. An advanced flautist can get a really nice sound out of this also.

Absolutely amazed at the quality of this flute for the price I paid. It’s lovely to play and so impressed with all the additional extras that it comes with. I haven’t played since I was at school over 20 years ago and have loved using this flute to get back into playing as an adult. Highly recommend this whole package
It is good but have to adjust screws sometimes to get better sound. Don’t think it will last forever but good for stop gap.
I researched this product and found a review on a Youtube channel (apparently independent of the manufacturer or seller) and this instrument was rated as a sound (pardon the pun) beginner’s flute at this price point. The flute itself appears very well made, the pads have good action and seat well. The overall finish is excellent. Now just to put the hours of practice in to see how well it holds up. I would definitely buy this flute again.

A good pack with everything you would need to start playing. My daughters Music teacher said it plays well and has a lovely sound. However there is a fault in that the lower notes won’t play.
So I am returning for a replacement and hopefully the new one won’t have the same problem.

Great value for a beginner flute compared to the ones I’ve seen priced around. Not an expert so not sure what difference spending another 100 on a different branded beginner flute gets you, but I had this one checked out by an expert and was told it was an excellent flute to begin. I’d definitely recommend and it’s a very nice finish too.

Edit: It is worth noting that at 12 days, with a minimum on 1 hour practice daily, the coating on the lip plate has become significantly tarnished, and two keys are also beginning to darken in the same way. I have yet to get a jewellery cloth to see if it can be reversed, or if it’s a more permanent issue with a coating rubbing off. It is however still in tune and holding up nicely in every other way.
This is exactly how it is described: a complete flute set for beginner. I bought EFL-2 which is the open holed model. It comes with silicone plugs which convert the flute to a closed hole flute. The flute plays well straight out of the box and didn’t have any leaks. All keys work and even a complete beginner (me) could make a sound. This seems like a good flute to start with. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Clear assembly and fingering charts could have been provided for little extra cost; and maybe even a support website. Eastar are you attentive? Please keep your standards high and supplier Moukey please add some of the other outstanding instruments such as clarinet and piccolo to the English Amazon site and try to keep prices closer to the US ones!
The product is astounding for this price. It arrived perfectly set up the next day and once you remove all the packaging it is fully functional. I didn’t mention that it has a stand too, which is a great touch. So far it has been a really nice surprise and I will put up another,shorter promise, video review.
