I hate hoovering, so we ended up getting one, thinking it was going to be terrible. But these are the best thing I brought. Ended up buying two one for up and one for down. Have 5 cats and the carpets look good as new every day now. Saved me from fleas and cat hai
I have never been a fan of robot vacuum cleaners but was talked into it by family members and OMG I wish I had this vacuum years ago. Its absolutely amazing and has a really strong suction. I have a shark downstairs and a G tech upstairs and this is definitely the best out of the 3. The other 2 are now redundant. If you are thinking about buying go ahead I promise you will not regret it. I’m like a kid at Xmas with this vacuum.
So basically, as a pet owner and someone who hates hoovering, it’s very handy. Does a nice job.
However my two gripes are, on max suction the battery life could be better, and the mop feature isn’t amazing to be fair. It’s the equivalent of rubbing a wet cloth on the ground gently. It won’t remove stains for instance.
I got this during Prime Day for a good price. Not sure I’d recommend it at full price.
I bought this bot to replace my old Deebot and you can tell how much technology has advanced in 5 years! The bot is easy to connect and sync with a smartphone and it quickly and very accurately mapped the entire flat.
It works by first cleaning the permiter of a room and then a systematic cleaning of the rest of the surfaces.
I have 2 cats that shed a lot and I myself have long hair, the bot takes itself to detangle and empty the bag 2-3 times per flat clean and then automatically returns to the exact spot it was cleaning before it had to unload.
It is significantly noisier than my previous model, but it also cleans 10 times better, including the rugs which are now spotless.
Overall I’m very impressed and happy with this cleaning robot.
Bought this for my parents to help them tackle the constant job of clearing dog hair. They already had an older eufy model on the ground floor, this one was for the first floor and they are suitably impressed. I was weary of it falling down the stairs, but so far so good! The next time I visited I immediately noticed how much clearer it was, and the difference in performance is so noticeable compared to the older, they are looking to upgrade the downstairs one. Also worth noting that they didn’t see the point in a robot vacuum at first, had it not been a gift they would never have got one, and now they are totally convinced and wouldn’t be without them!!
Having a robot vacuum is like having a toddler help you clean, he bumps into stuff, you have to keep an eye on him, he gets distracted, you have to move everything out of his way but overall he does help loads. I set him off before I walk my dog and I come home to lovely hoovered floors, granted he can’t get to some places and some areas I had to put as no-go zones because of cables etc but he helps keep the pet hair at bay for a few days before I hoover with my Dyson. He is our new family member and now wouldn’t be without him. His battery lasts enough for a 2 bedroom flat, the app is pretty good and easy to navigate, and the more you use it the easier and better he becomes because of his mapping sensors. Overall I think eufy is wonderful and worth every penny
Well I am amazed. I have three cats on hard floors in a two bed apartment. Send this out twice a day and it’s just brilliant. See the picture. My floors look cleaner just do pleased.
However you can only connect this to the WiFi on the 2.5ghx. My router won’t do it and to be honest not sure I understand it all.
But no where in all the sakes literature does it say this. Very naughty. So have to bend down and press the button.
Nevertheless it’s still a great buy. Recommend.
I didn’t want to buy this Robovac as I wasn’t sure it would cope with our ground level clutter (chair legs, table legs etc) but on the wife’s ‘advice’ I went ahead and bought it. And I have to say I’ve been extremely impressed by its navigation skills. We got it as we have 2 long haired cats and keeping on top of the fur was a daily chore. Obviously this isn’t going to replace a proper vacuum if you have pets but it means that for us anyway we only need to get the big vac out once a week and robovac does keep the hair and trailed litter under control. Instructions say it needs 0.5 metre either side and 1.5 metres in front from its ‘home’ but I have it under a kitchen unit where an unused plinth heater was which as you can see has barely 6 inches either side and it always finds its way home….. u love it!
I’d looked at robot hoovers for some time but always sceptical if it was more of a gimmick!
How wrong was I
Absolutely love it
After initially setting it off on the landing I was stood on guard on the stairs with baited breath scared it would fall down the stairs, I shouldn’t have worried, it went on the Hoover 4 bedrooms the main bathroom and ensuite (tiled) with battery life left too.
I have the dock station in the kitchen and when it’s finished doing its business it’s proudly shouts out ‘finished cleaning heading home’ and takes itself to the dock to start charging again. Obv upstairs there’s no dock so it just ends were it started.
I’ve tried the mopping facility too which I am more than happy with also doesnt soak the floor either. All in all well worth the money I paid which was 229 however after recommending this to my friends i discovered on prime day the price had increased to 339 which left me a little perplexed
Also there’s an app to download which shows you a map of the area that has been hoovered and you can set it off to work remotely.
Great piece of kit for what I paid! over the moo
Thought about a robot cleaner ever since moving to my little bungalow a year ago – but was sceptical. Was it just another electronic gimmick? Had tried a stick vacuum cleaner but they are just too heavy for my back so donated that to one of my granddaughters. Have still got the good old Henry but really no room in this tiny house to wield such a cumbersome tool and he has to live in the garage.
Decided to have a go at this robot particularly because of the self empty station – it it amazing! A grandson has just set it up for me and it has trundled around mapping every where. Has made a very good job of cleaning, transitioning from hard floor to rugs with no problem, even quite thick rugs. Next step is to link to Alexa but i think we both need a tea break!
Decided on the Eufy L60 SES as I wanted a robovac that looked after itself.
This really is a time saver, room mapping is very easy, even carried our Robovac upstairs and you can add maps for multiple floors.
Mapping took around 5 minutes and then your ready to clean.
Our new friend then makes it’s way around the house, a room at a time starting with the edges before moving around the room dodging tables and chairs before announcing task completed and making it’s way back to the Base. It then auto cuts any hairs wrapped around the brush, empties it’s on dustbox and charges itself back up.
Only issue we’ve found it it’s not to happy with our black deep pile rug but I’m not surprised as it’s a very thick rug. You can set exclusions in the app so it avoids areas if needed. Also detects stairs so it won’t fall down any steps etc.
Very pleased with our new addition and would definitely recommend to others.
* super easy to use, once you have the downstairs/upstairs mapped you can just click the button on the front and it’s off.
*does a great clean, and leaves lovely hoover marks but can’t get right in a nook of a tight corner.
* it is slightly noisy but it’s not ridiculous in noise.
*charge seems to last a decent amount of time. I do empty the rubbish collection after each time it goes round.
* a great size and sits nicely in the corner, it’s a very clever bit of kit and we haven’t had any issues with it navigating our home.
* I can’t comment on the mop function yet as I haven’t used it
* it’s been a great bit of kit for busy families, as I can target specific rooms as well as a whole floor plan clean. Those little black bits from football? Gone.
This has been an excellent addition to our home and I would definitely re buy in the future.
Bought this to replace an old Excelvan unit that died.
Found mapping the same floor twice improved efficiency and solved the robot not “climbing” the ramp to charge/empty.
The app has lots of features hidden away and not that intuitive to find them.
Once sorted it does a great job and it’s addictive looking at the map while cleaning !
Shame there isn’t a sensor to alert when the inboard dust bin is full and empty automatically.
I know it can be programmed to empty after a clean or time period but this should be done as standard.
Going to map our first and second floors later.
Means leaving the base station down stairs and carrying the the robot upstairs and let it do it’s mapping and cleaning.
I believe it will stop at the place I put it down.
Photo is after selecting 2x cleaning mode.
Little Eufy is an excellent companion, she’s very easy to use, linked to Google assistant, so all I need to do is, “Hey Google, vacuum carpet” and she’s off on her quest to clean up. You’ve got to watch her on occasion, she tends to fight with the odd loudspeaker lead, or shoelace, but once you realise this, and tuck loose ends away, she can be trusted to perform her task flawlessly, on the floor. Schedule a daily task for her, and she’s ever eager to please. When she’s done, she’ll return back to her docking station, and eject her collected detritus, so you don’t need to pick up after her, if you know what I mean. When she gets tired, and needs to recharge, she’ll head for home all by herself, for a little pick-me-up. Eufy, is just like a little dog, if she were to sheds hair, she’ll simply return home and clean her brush, with the “hair cutter” built into her kennel, sorry, base. She can’t hold much of a conversation, just giving you a warning of what she’s up to. It’s excellent to watch her, hugging along skirting boards, expertly navigating around the furniture, and remembering where she’s been. She makes a little noise, but not enough to annoy, because you know she’s working hard. Once she’s let off the leash (?) she quickly gets to know her environment, she’s got an excellent memory, she always knows where she is, so cleaning coverage is well catered for, and if it’s a large area, her task is briefly interrupted whilst she pops home for a charge. When she’s in her kennel, she’s automatically charging, ready, and willing for next time. Now coming back to the real world, just lift the flap on the top, and grab the refuse bag, to empty. There’s a filter there too, (this can be a little stiff to remove), which is washable, but cheap enough to replace. You can easily set up a, no-go area in the app, where you can also completely command your robot vacuum (or pet). Integration with Google assistant, I have heard of something called Alexa, but never used it, is excellent, you just need to learn what to say. This is my favourite purchase of all time, an excellent companion, “get down Eufy, and stop chewing the curtains!”
LIDAR is a game changer. I had an older 100 quid model that didn’t have it and it was a pain to deal with. It will knock my bin over, push my shoes around, get stuck under my office chair, etc.
This thing… maps out a room quite accurately in under 2 minutes, then continually improves the map as it cleans and bumps into things. And speaking of bumping into things, it stops a lot quicker so it doesn’t drag them around or knock things over. It’s definitely a lot smarter than anything without LIDAR.
Even if its your first ever robot vacuum, I highly recommend skipping the super budget tier without LIDAR and going straight to something that supports LIDAR and more importantly NO GO zones. The ability to make it stay away from rats nest of a desk (desktop computer, 4 monitors, speakers, audio devices, etc make for a lot of cables that I cba to properly arrange) as well as the ability to make it stay away from under my office chair is god tier. I can actually leave it unattended now, instead of the older one which I had to watch as it works in case it gets stuck every few minutes or knocks something over.
Had this for a single clean so far and it’s made a massive difference. Suction is good enough for my carpet. Will update review if the app gets worse or brakes or if the robot doesn’t last more than at least 2 years, but so far it’s great.
Its gd for jus a quick sweep up and it learns quickly but u do need to let it do its own thing, its not gd for deep cleaning or proper hoovering.
Good way of getting the vacuuming done whilst working. Manages to cope with different floor levels and floor coverings. Very happy with purchase
Could not love this more. So handy and easy to use with the app. Love that you can start it up and it can find its own way around and get the job done before returning to charge itself. So handy for under beds and hard to reach areas while you get on with other things.
Eufy is such a convenient way of keeping your house clean and tidy. It has its drawbacks, but believe me, it worth every penny. You should get one, ignore all negative reviews and make your life easier place to be! 😉
It’s so relaxing to switch on Eufy and let it do the work for you. I generally switch on Eufy downstairs after dinner and the day after I find the carpet and laminate super clean.
In the morning I let it clean the bedrooms upstairs and it really remove a lot of dust.
Brilliant compared to not hoovering. Not as good as a human vacuming. We run Marvin 3 times a day and he cleans a lot of mess from our 3 kids. Which is great bur don’t expect a spotless job
Quiet enough to not scare the cats(but they still don’t trust him)
Can’t believe the dust it picks up every day
Can still cope with deep rugs and a new thick carpet without getting stuck on it. Just need to make sure he has a clear path with no floor wires and that he can climb on the bottom shelf of the tv stand again(from a raised rug I might add so not his fault). But he did have a panic attack as he couldn’t get back down afterwards. No blocked off and he keeps the floors clear and tidy every day
I treated myself to one of these with my Christmas bonus, having had my eye on one for a while, this one seemed to offer the best range of options and functionality for the price, and was on offer at the time.
As other have mentioned, the amount it picks up is amazing, it filled it’s bin the first couple of outings as it fits under things that don’t often get hoovered under, the bed, sideboard, sofa etc.
The unit doesn’t have learning, but has some degrees of smarts about it as it maps where’s it’s been on each outing, it’s far from perfect, but it manages to navigate my flat without issue.
Mine’s scheduled to run twice a week whilst I’m at work, and my proper hoover has been out maybe once since Christmas
Consumables like the brushes and filters seem to be holding up well too.
Whilst it has Alexa, it’s a bit limited, especially when the app is easier to use and offers more functionality.
My little Eufy robovac lives upstairs and cleans every day. Under beds, across the bathroom floor – he’s the perfect size. He’s never plunged down the stairs and is so quiet even the cats don’t mind him. I had no idea the cleaning would be so good. Great purchase. I may get another for downstairs one day.
The dirt bin is ridiculously small and doesn’t have a sensor to tell you it’s full, but other than that, it’s great. It gets stick on my rugs MUCH less often.
Hi overall it’s a useful addition to trying to keep the home clean and tidy.
Positives: easy to empty takes 30 seconds a day.
Cleans about 70m2 without difficulty.
Automatically goes and charges when the battery goes flat then returns to where it left off to start again.
NO MORE WANDERING AROUND THE HOUSE ON MY DAY OFF!!!
House is cleaner than it’s previously been, works well on hard and carpeted floors.
App is easy to use and just works!
Negatives: Had some disasters eg knocking over pot plants, twisting up shoe laces, being woken up in the night when it’s moving around the house.
Just buy it and stop faffing around.
I’m thinking about getting a second one to use upstairs!
I use it for thick carpets and it does a great job of picking up dust, hair and bits that drop into the floor. Great app integration and easy to link to devices.
Like others I was skeptical as to how good this would be. I needn’t had worried – even the wife was won round!
We purchased this Hoover for our kitchen dining area which is often found with crumbs under tables and near skirting boards as the kids insist on making such a messit’s a laminate floor and we keep the door shut so the Hoover doesn’t roam elsewhere.
Since buying this device we’ve literally not needed to Hoover this room since.
Not sure I’d recommend it over an upright vacuum for carpeted areas but on hard floors it’s great!
Navigation is really impressive watching it roam around. I find it quite captivating and often find myself staring at it for longer than I intended to!
When emptying the tray it always amazes me a) how much it’s sucked up and b) how well it compacts it
You do need to make sure the floor area is relatively free from stuff that it might eat – shoe laces or cables for example, but if you forget to put things away that it can’t suck up, it’ll just not clean as well – still better than nothing!
Personally we have ours programmed for 8pm each evening so we can check the cats haven’t left anything for it to spread around – we nearly fell foul last night but luckily the Hoover had finished before the darn animal made a mess!
It’s quiet enough not to wake our daughter asleep in the room above too. On the higher suction setting which we don’t use btw, it is of course a bit louder.
Only other point to mention is that the charging dock does need a fairly good amount of space either side of itself so the robot can find its way home. Not as much as the instructions suggest but if there’s things either side of it, it seems to get confused for a bit longer. Doesn’t seem to matter about things being above the charge dock though. We have ours under a shoe rack so it doesn’t take up extra floor space and keeps it fairly discretely hidden.
Overall a great buy and would highly recommend!
I love it, even though i still haven’t figure out how it mops yet, the sweeping has saved my time !
“Kevin” is a clever little fella, very obedient too. Tell him to go clean the flat at 3pm and off he trundles to find all the crumbs you dropped from that packet of biscuits you just ate, no word of complaint about not using a plate, he just goes and gets all the muck from under the sofa like it’s his life’s mission! When he gets tired of his travels he heads home for a little snooze so he’s ready for the next mission!
He doesn’t complain when you get up late or come home drunk and drop stuff all over the floor so as far as I’m concerned it’s Kevin 1, wife 0.
