Very easy to setup and local storage saves the pennies on the cloud. Would say I have a camera down the side of the house and the wi-fi link keeps dropping off! The definition on faces isn’t the best but it is a budget system and it picks up any movement in the dedicated zones. It’s great for letting me know when someone is walking up the drive
I couldn’t be happier with these cameras!! I bought different ones a couple of months ago and had to return them as the recording settings were rubbish. These cameras are great! Picture quality is perfect, there’s local storage of almost 15 GB so no need for monthly subscriptions. The best feature is that you can set motion detection how it suits you – it can record any movement or just when it recognises humans, plus you can select which part of the camera angle is to be recorded – my cam captures the street as well so it was triggered by cars, but now I set it so it only detects motion in my front garden while I can still see the street if I want to. It’s so much better than the other cameras which I had bought, I really recommend it!
I bought this cameras for myself but when I seen the quality and how easy to use I bought a second set for my mum I absolutely love them
Ease of installation is good and app works well. Wished I’d gone for 2k rather than 1080p – it was price reduction that swung the decision. Clarity is OK but can’t really make out detail eg number plates. Night vision is pretty good but detection distance is limited so that I really need a few more cameras covering same field of view to pick up movement.
We call it our roving camera; we use it inside and out, but of course is limited by where the wifi goes.
2 small issues; it’s called a security camera, but when mounted outside it would present little problem to a thief to steal it and the integrated speaker sounds as if it’s from the 1940’s although that may be a fault, I don’t know.
Overall, a great product.
Very easy to set up, great WiFi reception providing a very clear picture. Good night vision also providing a clear picture. So far battery still showing full, so will see if it lasts the 6 months. The sound is also crystal clear. Like the option to switch on spotlight but picture clearer in night vision. Sensor does not pick up any of the local night critters, so no wasted footage. All in all a good product so far .
Good camera, adequate resolution and stable. One of my other cameras, however, has started to drop connection to the base. Hope this is a temporary problem – watch this space, (if it will display it!).
Great product Works well but mounting angle not suffiently adjustable enough (Angles)
Credit where credit is due, these cams are awsome. After having many CCTV systems over the years, some wired, some wireless, I bought the EUFY doorbell with the Homebase 2 and it has been working faultlessly for the last 9 or so months, happened upon the 2c wireless cam so thought I would try one. Really good range, connects where others wont and in record time, average connection time is approx 2 sec for all cams wherever they are placed. I have the homebase in the hall and it will connect to my garage cam ( the furthest away at about 120ft) in two seconds, pretty awsome and the picture quality is first rate 1080p. I now have 5 cams and the doorbell, all work faultlessly and on a side note the first cam I put up was fully charged prior to instalation and after two weeks was still showing 100% charge so the 180 day charge claim is looking good, 100% recommended.
The camera offers overall good value and delivers decent results across all categories of features. The app is also well implemented.
Easy to mount, easy to set up. I combined one camera with a solar panel. Easy to do.
Set up with the hub was completed quickly.
We’ll be adding a door bell to the system in the near future too.
Very pleased. They were recommended to me, I’d confidently recommend them to you
The audio quality is good the mic work’s very well.
The picture quality is great, in the evening night vision is good with the addition of the torch in dark positions you do need to enable the torch to get a clearer image.
Fixings are good I would like an option to secure the camera other than screwing on with a thread as they could be unscrewed if located too low down.
I have two cameras at the 9 foot height and they detect motion very well although the detection dies seem to pick movement up outside of your detection zone settings so fine tuning the settings would be required.
There are lots of other useful settings including an alarm on the cameras and homebase 2 unit. Overall great produc
Great camera for the price, excellent functionality through the App. Good battery life 180 days. Would recommend adding a solar panel if your instilling the camera in a difficult location.
Easy to set up and use. App lets you view and talk to visitors. Bought 2 to cover front of house and then added a 3rd to cover garden. No issue with connectivity.
We use the outdoor cams so this was an addition- easy to set up, small and compact. Has good vision and area coverage. Would recommend
I did a lot of research into wifi security cameras before buying the eufy ones.
I decided on eufy over the ring or arlo ones.
My main reason was the fact that you don’t need a subscription.
I also like that it is all stored locally on the homebase.
I would definitely buy these again, and will branch out to their other security products.
The sound quality is particularly impressive. The small light on it also is a lot brighter and more effective than i expected.
The only downside is the set up, it’s a bit hit and miss, and does show that they are ultimately cheap chinese cameras at heart at least.
I ordered this eufy camera as an additon to my existing system. I noticed the firmware for the camera is much later than my original two pack camera system, but after research, it seems the cameras are now produced by a different supplier hence why the firmware is different but it makes no difference as the camera operates the same way in every respect. The camera connected to my existing hub straight away and has rock solid connection at all times. The Eufy camera system is perfect for my needs and this additional camera gives me extra piece of mind covering a part of my property previously out of view.
Bought these many times before as additionals..just work properly and straight out of the box everything.
as the title says “what’s the problem ?”
Well from my point of view not much !
I see a few people who give this product a 1 star rating & go on about poor connection or bad motion detection, but to be honest I haven’t experience any of these issues.
let’s be honest tho the motion isn’t always spot on,but I have a ring door bell & that’s the same.
it took me literally 10 mins to completely set the whole system up via a app you install & trust me it was so simple with no problem what so ever.
simply drill 2 holes for the camera mount & that’s pretty much it .
a few tweeks on the app to set up your notifications & motion zones & away you go.
overall very impressed with it so far, great picture quality good clear speaker for the 2 way conversations you can have with your posty when your not home.
plus the fact I got this on a daily deal with 80 quid knocked off,so bonus !
highly recommended in all honesty a good all round system for less than 150(at the time of this review)
brought this as an add on for a 2 system set up .
Bought 2 cameras; placed one on the back fence of garden about 20m from homebase and no issues with connection. Other one on front of house, so all areas covered. Still need to configure sensitivity as spiders trying to build webs nearby set off recording.
So easy to set up and configure – took 5 minutes for both, and did initial setup whilst charging them both.
Purchased as an extra camera for my Eufy two camera security system. Easy to install and set up and integrate with my existing Eufy system. All done in less than 10 minutes, including mounting the camera and integrating with my existing system.
Love the ease of connectivity to my existing set up, seamless. Motion detection works perfectly and the picture quality is superb.
I will and have recommended these cameras to scores of people they are superb value for money.
This stand alone one needs the base unit to work don’t forget.
I was looking for ages for some battery cameras and was un decided on what to get i come across these cameras dont let the reviews put you off, i have had now for a couple of weeks battery seems good enough for me and it does grab motion as it says and is very good.
Overall i would say great cameras, great quality and no subscription costs.
Easy to set up & works very well.
Costly but good quality.
Best used for short distance.
Ordered two add-ons to complement current system.
Would recommend.
Bought two of these as add ons to our Eufy doorbell. I want sure about the quality before I purchased them but have been really impressed. Great cameras, excellent picture quality and so easy to add onto the Eufy system. One thing to note is that if you use indoors, dont place too close to a window or the night vision quality is affected. We found this and then as they are waterproof, mounted them outdoors and get excellent night vision pictures.
The best sensible priced cameras available at the moment. Wireless is also a great advantage too.
No complaints at all. Easy to set up , great pic even at night , battery going strong after 6 weeks . Good motion detection . I bought the doorbell as well so phone is pinging and ding donging by the minutes but thats better than the last one from another manufacturer which picked nothing up
Easy to install, excellent picture quality with colour night vision.
Really easy to set up product, image quality is good. The night vision also picks up alerts and sends an alert to the phone which is good. All with no monthly fee
Also watch out for when these go on offer, there are big savings when they are.
The motion detection takes a bit of setting up to get right, but tweak your settings and be patient because they are excellent quality cameras and the customer service from eufy is brilliant.
Battery life is great. We tend to get about 4-5 months before a charge and our cameras are pretty active as we are a big family with lots of coming and going.
Build quality and image quality are really good.
The fact you can store your recordings locally to the Homebase in your house, rather than the cloud was a big plus for me – I have complete control over them.
I ordered two of these along with the doorbell.I had problems with one of the cameras, it would go off line or not be linked to the home base, so would set it up again and again after about 15 hrs it would fault again.
So I have sent the cameras back and ordered new again…same as before…as when working well they are excellent, in everyday, easy to set up , use and the picture quality is brilliant.
So far so good with the new cameras, so very happy.
Easy to set up, easy to use, good picture quality. Only downside for me is the battery does not last 6 months, more like 4-5 at a push.
Looked at various wireless cctv packages. I have two y-cams as well which are fine and compliment these Eufy cams. So far so good, easy to set up, great pic quality and very discreet camera with decent build quality. Ordered a third camera too, didn’t take long to place on side of house, fully topped each battery up first so will be interested to see how long the charge lasts.
I’ve turned off the spotlight feature as we have High output LED PIR lamps anyway. Left the infra red lights to come on if motion is triggered but will see how that pans out with the main PIR lights anyway.
I’ve placed mine high enough so they cannot be reached that easily but saying that not sure what any facial image quality will be like. They are sensitive all 3 picked me up and triggered sharply but we also have fast fibre broadband which must help.
Will update if necessary but happy with purchase so far.
My wife has the shared link too for the app and can see all 3 cameras.
Looks like you can expand zoom the image anyway by pinching etc which could be useful for screen shots.
Update-night vision is very clear and the microphone picks up well quite sensitive.
The 2C camera from the EufyCam portfolio is the most flexible as it can be used outdoors, indoors and in confined spaces. I use several (as well as the larger EufYCam 2 + an inside EufyCam). Places indside where a EufyCam 2C with its spotlight feature is beneficial include inside my integral garage and another inside my shed. Recommended.
This is a good little camera, a long battery life, and robust. It fell from a poorly stuck mount once, and still works fine. It connects wirelessly to my hub, and I can review the footage easily. My only suggestion is with the system as a whole. Although it has sleep options to run off the notifications, I’d like to have an option to set active times, so it’s disarmed at regular times when I know I’ll be home. A small niggle that can be allowed for in a software update, and not a deal breaker. A great addition my to Eufy collection.
Added to my eufy video doorbell which is further away from the road and down the side of the house
This camera is fitted to the front and covers all of the driveway
Like most of these security devices there is a lag before it alerts you
Overall a very clear picture although the camera creates a fish-eye effec
Starting with the negative points:
Battery life is not 180 days but this is affected by how you set it up.
The motion detection could be better especially at night.
The good points.
They are wirless and have a good WiFi range.
They are very easy to set up.
Picture quality is very good but not fantastic, for the price you can’t complain.
Night vision is good
The built in flood light is good. the two way microphone can be temperamental from camera side, it can sometimes be un-audiable.
Overall I love them and to be fair they are reasonably priced.
Eufy quality camera. I already have HomeBase 2 hub, video doorbell with two cameras. The add-camera covers a blind spot by a gate.
Easy to install and setup.
Recommended.
The cameras are brilliant, I looked at a number of wireless cameras on the market and for price – no monthly costs for using the cameras. Enough storage with the base unit although if you have a NAS drive you can connect and have heaps of storage. The battery life is fantastic and been able to live connect and access the footage while I’m away is perfect. Easy to install
If you are looking for a great system just buy the eufy on amazon when on offer about 160 for the 2c cameras and base it’s easy to set up cameras work over40meter from base hub batteries last aleast 1000 short videos before charging .the pictures are excellent .if it for your own house you probably don’t need the 2k version great bit of ki
Bought this to connect to my Eufy Doorbell hub. Of course it worked and was easy to install. I’ve had mine for 2 months and it’s used half the battery. Will buy another one for the back garden.
This is a very impressive system. The camera at the front of the house is a long way from the router and shows a poor wi-fi signal on the app but it works faultlessly with the same reliability and picture quality as one at the back with full signal (which is just outside the window near the router). Free cloud storage is a plus.
I have now lived with it for a year or so and it has only gone up in my estimation. We had a nighttime incident where two young people came around at 3am and tried all the car doorhandles. Although quite a few of my neighbours have CCTV systems mine was the only one which highlighted it and they only found it on their (professionally installed) systems after I told them the exact time to look at. That says a lot in my view. The Eufy system couldn’t be easier to set up and it’s completely wireless. The Eufy 2 cam is very good with nighttime colour (I started out with two of the Eufy 1 b&q cams) but I think the black and white is still slightly better quality for identification at night. I have also improved the detection range by mounting the camera lower down and at a shallower angle. The downside could be that it makes the camera more vulnerable to tampering but they have an anti theft alarm which rings on the phone app. I had builders working recently and being wireless, it was dead simple to move one of the camera’s to cover a passageway which would be vulnerable while the doors and windows were being changed. I think it’s a fantastic system.
Wanted a solution that not only provided the security features I wanted but was practical for daily use and could be managed and installed without issues.
The Eufy solution did all of the above in spades and continues to overachieve on a daily basis
I’ve used eufy before but this time I’ve also installed the door bell too. If anything I would have liked an instant live view which I’ve not gotten as yet.
What I mean is that as soon as the doorbell is pressed an instant picture comes up where you can talk to them instantly instead of a notification so it dissent really do the job. Still it picks up straight away on all cameras and a super picture quality playback and you can enlarge the picture to see even more detail’
All in all a very good system with great service ucture quality to some of theirs I have seen at a more expensive price. 4 stars from me
Amazing cameras and night vision is set when detecting the very bright led lights comes on for full clear colour recording. And the lights makes them automatically look up so perfect face shot.
Bloody brilliant I’ve got doorbell to so brilliant and small neat high gloss homehub box no ugly black box to save recordings on. And NO monthly or yr fee . Nothing pay once and you’re done .
Very good camera, east to set up and a good price
Easy to connect to Homebase 2 and install. Picture quality is excellent. Very discreet camera that can be placed anywhere needed.
My only issue is that it regularly misses people unless they are walking directly towards it. I’ve turned up the sensitivity (good feature) and altered its direction slightly.
Easy to set up and install, good quality of picture but not the best. Motion detection is good but would be better if you could change the settings box for motion detection, it’s just one big box you either enlarge or shorten, others you get a grid you can select boxes for instead of one big box. Also, only records for 60 seconds maximum so if there’s activity it’ll record but after that it’ll need ANOTHER motion detection to record again so you may end up with a missing minute or so in-between recordings. Get what you pay for I suppose… app is good and easy to use too.
Really easy to set up with my existing Homebase. Very happy with the video quality. I’m still playing with the motion settings to get better results. Once that’s sorted I will probably hard wire them in.
I don’t normally write reviews but this security camera system deserves one, it’s so easy to set up, even for a non tech person like myself.
The picture quality is very good, as is the motion detector, night vision also very clear.
I like the fact it has facial recognition too.
I also added another eufy camera as I was so pleased with the others, very easy to add this too.
Over all very happy
I bought this Eufy 2C Cam about a year ago. It has worked brilliantly straight out of the box. Really easy to set up and install. The Eufy app works great
I have recently added to this system by purchasing an add on battery operated Video doorbell, again this is really easy to pair to my existing system and literally took minutes to get working. The Video doorbell was also easy to mount.
Both of my cameras and video doorbell give excellent coverage of my property with very clear footage in the daytime and the nighttime.
Eufy customer service is absolutely outstanding. I cannot praise them enough. I had a small problem (of my own making), not an equipment problem and Stephanie was a revelation in what outstanding customer service should be. Stephanie was able to deal with my problem and resolved it without hesitation.
Eufy products and customer service gets 5 out of 5 stars from me.
If you are thinking of purchasing a security camera system or video doorbell for yourself or as a gift for someone, then I recommend Eufy. You will not be disappointed.
Love it so much I’ve ordered some more. Can’t go wrong for the price and the apps grea
I found it easy to set up and of good quality. Picture quality is excellent. Very Happy and would recommend.
Great camera with pretty good resolution. Linked to our Eufy Homebase no problem. Motion detection is excellent with few, if any false alarms. Battery life seems as advertised too. Very happy with this purchase
I am very surprised and amazed at the quality, ease of use and advanced features Eufy has to offer when compared to the likes of Ring and others. I would recommend this over all other products on the market in this category. Look out for Eufy offers and sales where you can pick up great add ons and a really good price.
This was very easy to install and at the Black Friday price was extremely good value for money.
The bottom line is that you would have to spend a lot more money to get anything significantly better.
Easy to install and set up. Although will need good internet of which we now have the best BT internet with discs around the house for the wi-fi.
Cannot fault the quality of the pictures and ability to pick up movement. Great that there are n extra fees 😀
Great system quality images night vision is good in low light, I’ve added the doorbell to the kit and sussed out how to make the hall light come on when the doorbell is pressed & custom announcements off Alexa, it’s been up a few weeks now I think it’s a fantastic already bought the door contact and indoor pan tilt camera will definitely be adding to this system plus no monthly fees to use it all
Can’t speak highly enough about this product, absolutely amazing. I had bought one of the big competitors camera systems also supposedly WiFi. It was nothing but trouble and the support helpline was nothing short of a disaster. This product however outstanding so easy to set up, up and running in 12-15 minutes. Linked to my phone live video. Lots of easy to use setting to enable you to customize your zones to match your property. I bought the startup box with two cameras and the home hub fabulous. I then bought another camera to cover the side of the property. I connected that camera in less than 5 minutes. Via the app and of course at this point I knew what I was doing.
Scored low on the battery just because I have only had the camera 1-2 weeks so haven’t got to the 6months so couldn’t really give 5 stars as I don’t know yet.
Absolutely would recommend these cameras to anyone no wires, easy to set up, oh and no subscription bonus
Great quality. Easy set up. Easy to use. Great security
I brought this single cam to cover a specific part of my property and so far so good! It missed the odd motion but I guess that’s expected. The quality is great, however the contrast is quite dark during the day which can’t be changed from what I’ve found.
I was hoping this would come with a adjustable angle as the Eufy cam doorbell does as the area it needs to cover is a bit awkward. Once angling the camera a certain way, I managed to get it to point where I want it to.
I ordered this system after spending lots of time studying the market. At first I was considering a wired system but with our house being a new build the loft is full of insulation.
Saw other wireless makes but Eufy get really good reviews and the pricing point is perfect.
Ordered the 2C system (2 cameras with a homebase) which was so easy to configure and install.
I did notice a problem with one of the camera’s which would freeze playback after only a few seconds. So I contacted Eufy support through the security app and started dealing with one of their support agents called Rankin.
Rankin arranged for me to send the faulty camera back and refunded delivery costs immediately to my Amazon payment method. I received a brand new camera within a week which is now up and running without fault.
I can’t fault the support I have received from Eufy and especially Rankin. Thank you!!
Due to the reliability of the kit and support I have received I have since purchased the doorbell system and a Eufy Cam 2.
Brilliant system with great battery life and motion detection. Has all the features of a wired system like zones, etc.
If you’re thinking of a wireless security system buy anything from the Eufy range because I personally cannot fault it or their customer care.
Thanks again Rankin, a true customer service focused individual.
Bought these for my pub to use inside and outside. They do the job and I have had no problems with them. Easy to set up and of course I can view from my phone anywhere, any time.
I have four of these cameras, and on the whole I’m impressed. Motion detection is a little reactive on short range but not great at long range, picture quality is good barring in rain etc when visibility is restricted. Had a problem with one camera which they replaced without issue.
I love them, easy home security, good picture, night vision motion detection, facial recognition, records to a seperate remote base station/cloud.
I considered many other camera systems. Most required an ongoing subscription fee or the start up cost was prohibitively expensive. It was a toss up between Blink and Eufy. After a handful of YouTube comparison videos, I settled for Eufy. I managed to to get the door bell and a two camera set up when Amazon did their usual periodic price drop (thank you Keepa.com). Great wire free security system. The homebase stores 15 GB worth of footage which can be accessed from any of your mobile devices. The picture quality is excellent. The battery life is OK but don’t expect the advertised claims. It all depends on how you set up the software.
I bought an additional camera when the price dropped again. All integrates nicely.
Customer services are very helpful upholding Anker’s solid reputation for quality products and aftercare
I did have to by different mounts as the ones supplied in the box have very limited articulation. Also sold on Amazo
I already had purchased a Eufy doorbell and saw the extra cameras on offer during Prime week. The picture quality is great and I like the fact that there is no subscription needed.
Adding the new camera to the existing system was very easy.
I have seen some people mention about the Eufy servers going down but I have not experienced this and have always managed to connect to the doorbell and camera. Even if the server was to go down the images and recordings are still saved to the homebase.
Happy with this product, only using as an additional security measure to back up my wired CCTV system, only covers my front door and is motion linked to the doorbell that is facing oncoming people. these cameras are also compatible with the “Wasserstein Solar Panel with Internal Battery Compatible with Blink XT and Blink XT2 Outdoor Camera” and keep your camera at 100% all the time.
Experienced some issues with cameras not triggering even when significant movement directly in front.
Initially Eufy support was painful asking for the same information multiple times and requesting I turn off human detection. This is one of the reasons I purchased this system and cameras as this was a feature they promoted meaning I would only receive human motion events.
However, after further emails and escalation I received excellent support, resolving the issues and the cameras are now functioning well.
Have only given 4 stars due to the initial issues experienced.
Bought this as an addition to the initial starter pack (2 x Camera and Base unit), added really easy and quality is exactly as expect. Eufy make great cameras which have been really easy to setup, use and customise the settings. Wouldn’t be within them. Highly recommended
Great product, easy to link to base unit and setup and use. Picture quality is great as is night vision. Light and speaker aspect also really good and so easy to use. Would highly recommend this product.
Did a tonne of research before opting to acquire these security cameras. Very speedy delivery service. Really easy to set up. Excellent picture quality. You can play around with the sensitivity and motion settings all from your phone. Plus totally wireless with long battery life for each cam.
Bought for this for inside the house as a little smaller than the ones I use outside. No compromise in picture quality and battery is lasting well. Easy to charge using usb lead provided. You have sound also and a speaker so use it to talk to the dog when away. A great camera and value for money as you don’t have to pay subscriptions.
Have purchased Eufy camera kit along with additional cameras, absolutely brilliant quality and faultless app control. Family members have also purchased after viewing mine.
I’m originally an Electronci design engineer and have spent a lot of time trying to keep power usage to a minimum. I’m amazed how the camera in my side entrance is still 76% full batter when I installed it in early June over 2 months ago. It detects me every time I go in the side passage and records, but, ignores the cats and other non human faces.
The app on the phone is seemless and very fast.
All data is stored locally so you don’t get hooked in to subscription nonsense.
I bought 2 of these and a doorbell. Very good purchase, although I think I was less paranoid before having cameras on the house.
Very strong recommend over anything from Ring which I installed for my mother. Laggy, expensive, major privacy issues and poor battery.
Very easy to set up and tailor your security system to your needs. Picture quality is great I’ve had Eufy security system for about a month and it’s met or exceeded my expectations so fa
I got this system as my previous Arlo system kept ‘eating’ batteries. They were VERY expensive C123A Batteries and lasted no time at all. Eventually, the camera developed a fault and drained the batteries overnight! This happened to two cameras – one was replaced by Netgear, but the second time I gave up.
The Eufy system is VERY easy to set up. The cameras and Base unit seem solid and of good build quality. I can’t yet comment on the battery life, but as long as I get somewhere near the promised 180days I’ll be happy. At least they are rechargeable, so no more huge battery bills! Syncing the cameras worked first time, as did the short set up of the base station. I was prepared to have to experiment with moving the base station to get enough coverage for both cameras. On is in the back garden, about 25m and a brick wall away from the base. The other is around 50m away, through several brick walls and a roof – but there was NO issue in getting good connectivty. So the Base Station can stay next to the router and is connected by ethernet.
I have also set up the integration with Alexa Show – again very easy and went without an issue. Finally I set up my phone and my wifes for Geofencing. This was the only bit that seems a little fiddly. My advice here is to sign out of and close the app on the phone and re-open it so as to get the phone location syncing properly.
My only other point is that there doesn’t seem to be many options for camouflage/protective skins for the cameras. I am still looking for a good source for these.
Its still day 1 so I hope that things carry on like this. But so far – so good
Crystal clear video, doesn’t pick up all motions, just human. Winner there, as my previous system used to pick up the dog moving about. Can’t fault it, no issues at all.
easy to fit and st up outside.
Good images and setting human only setting stops false alarms due to trees plants or animals setting off the camera.
Would recommend
Bought this to cover my garden and shed after a spate of local thefts from sheds.
The cameras were easy to set up and fix, however after a couple days of working fine the outdoor camera refused to function.
This issue was resolved temporarily by taking the camera down and resetting it. Fine, but then the same issue 2 days later. The third time I swapped the cameras, and bang the issue happened again not 24hours later.
This camera is pretty redundant if it doesn’t work for the sole purpose I purchased it. I will endeavour to resolve this issue but it’s not looking good so far.
***** Update *****
After my reviw I have been in contact with Eufy customer support, who have resolved the issue. It appears that one of the cameras was slightly faulty and wasn’t connecting correctly. I had this replaced and it fixed the issue. I cannot speak highly enough of the support received, it was proactive swift and efficient and resolved the issue with the faulty camera.
This system works well, and picks up most movement, unwanted visitors at night such as cats etc., however when set to human detection only it doesn’t seem to pick up my girlfriend who can walk freely around the garden without setting the alert off.
Overall I would recommend this product over most others, mainly as you don’t need a subscription service, as well as the camera footage quality and sound recording, however there are a few issues with it, just be sure that any area of concern is set up with motion detection rather than humans only.
I’ve had these for a couple of weeks now and my initial impressions are favourable.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow, so setting them up was really simple.
Once set up the base station can be placed in a suitable position within the home, this helps get a wifi signal to both cameras. The base station contains the memory and looks like it has more than enough storage for my needs. The cameras can be charged one at a time using the base station and supplied usb lead, mine took 3.5 to 4 hours to charge from about 40%.
The cameras seem sturdy and once set up they have a good wide field of view, I found the base a little difficult to tighten properly on the camera, but they’re up and look good. Both daytime and nighttime video quality is to a good standard.
As they’re new and I’ve been using them quite a lot I’ve used about 5% charge per week, which means I probably won’t get the suggested 180 days from the batteries, but it’s still quite an impressive performance. Mines are positioned for easy access using a small step ladder, so taking them down to charge won’t be a problem.
The app works well, I’ve been tweaking my settings in the app together with the camera angle/position to find the best combination for my needs. I did have an initial concern as I couldn’t play back all of my videos on the app but after 1 false start, Eufy support sorted this out for me.
All in all, I’m very pleased with these cameras, the app and the level of support from Eufy.
I’ll update on future performance, battery life, durability etc.
Highly Recommended.
In short, and clearly in my opinion, these are a brilliant security device. Easy to set up and versatile in terms of the various function options that can be set to suit your requirements. My only minor gripe is that the wall mounting doesn’t quite offer the requisite amount of stand off and angle when looking down a long wall. It’s quite a small extra amount that is required to optimise the view, again IMO, but the additional distance does provide a broader view of the space i.e. less of the wall. Fortunately I have a 3D printer so I simply printed a small, simple bracket to resolve the “problem”.
Don’t expect much range for detection though as, while the camera has a great field of view, the motion sensor has a relatively short range although you can optimise the overall area. For example we have two french doors roughly 4 metres apart at the back of the house and motion is not detected around the furthest one.
Update…
Detection is much better than I thought originally and the range does in fact extend beyond our second set of doors, as proven watching the antics of my son at midnight!
hese are great
work very well and does the job
I have held off writing this review until I have used the system in anger. I have had the system running for about 3 months. The good, this is really easy to setup and as long as you are comfortable with using an app on a phone or tablet its so easy. Range is pretty good too I have a house with very thick walls but even cameras that have to pass through 5 or 6 walls and the camera is a good 20 meters away. the not so good, I had a camera fail on me giving a foggy image after 2 months. Eufy support is not the best and the emails to the call center needed a good bit of chasing. That said they replaced the faulty unit with a few weeks and refunded me the postage. You just need to take a pic of the problem, the purchase receipt and the serial number of the unit. Battery life is no where the claims made, probably half that in my experience and I have the setting for surveillance set to mid way. Detection is good and the ability to detect humans versus a fox or a dear is really good. Things I don’t really like are that the amount it records when triggered is not very long, presumable to conserve battery life, although you can make this longer up to 120 seconds, although that drains the battery even more. There seems to be a bit of a lag from one recording trigger to the next as well, so if an intruder in on site a long time it doesnt seem to capture everything. I guess that you have to remember that this is a battery powered solution and so for that convenience you pay for it in other ways. All in all the system does what I want it to though

This is an updated review following a release of new firmware. Eufy customer support pushed a firmware update (not formally released I believe) that updates their HomeKit integration. If you’re looking for a wireless, home kit compatible camera kit then this can now be it!
As well as solving the problem, I (like others if you look around on forums / comments etc) have been given a free extra camera for my troubles and asked to update my feedback.
The feedback is fair – this does now work well.
If you’re new to HomeKit, be careful, this kit is unlikely to work well without a mesh network (strong WiFi signal coverage all around your property) and you will need 7 a month 2TB ICloud account to save video off-site securely.
Battery life with HomeKit looks like it will be around 1 month so the spare camera makes a handy addition to switch a camera out as they exhaust.
The 10 second cycle built into HomeKit doesn’t refresh with these cameras. This is something the developers may look at in future update.
General feedback though…. this is good, it works and HomeKit integration is stable.
If you want to use their own app, it’s already a VERY GOOD product as others have also attested to.
Well done Eufy. Good product and very good service to your customers.
The hub didn’t work – no power.
This is a basic part of QC surely. No damage to packaging and no sign of any damage to the hub.
Just a quality issue I can assume.
Awaiting refund and replacement.
*UPDATE*
Keep the faith!
Having had doubts about about the reliability of this brand – my initial review (above) expressed my disappointment and frustration, that a basic function like power wasn’t checked in QC – I can honestly say that, for the price, this system is a nice bit of kit. I’m still tweaking it (I have bought 2 more cameras and now have 4 in total with the intention of adding another 1 or 2 possibly) there are plenty of options available, and the app is incredibly simple to use. There are a few minor niggles: the required distance between hub and cameras is a little limited. You’ll need to position your hub carefully to maximise your range and that will also be affected slightly by any obstacles (like trees) that are in the way. There is also a delay (as you would expect from most systems I would imagine) between detection and recording. But these are minor niggles and to be expected from what is a midrange product.
There are lots and lots of positives, all of which are detailed on EUFY’s/ANKER’s website.
I particularly liked the alarm system which operates through, not just the hub, but the cameras too. The alarm practically follows the intruder (or innocent visitor!) around wherever the cameras pick them up and sounds quite impressive.
Overall, it’s a nice system.
Easy to set up and even easier to control.
The only issue you’ll have is limiting yourself to just the two cameras – there is a temptation to want to cover every nook and cranny.
Either way, you could do worse than this system but probably won’t find anything better in the price range.
I bought 2 EufyCam 2s (a bundle with the relevant Homebase) and an additional EufyCam 2C. I initially had an issue with the 2C in that it was intermittently glitching and, after I’d eliminated connection, positioning and interference issues, I contacted Eufy. The customer service I received from their Support Team was excellent and very prompt (this was the second time I contacted them on unrelated matters and both times the customer service was flawless). They really did go the extra mile, despite the Coronavirus lockdown, to ensure that I received a replacement immediately and I am pleased to say that all cameras are now up and running and everything is working well so far.
The set up was extremely easy, and so far I am very pleased with the movement responses and pictures of all of the cameras. I did have to do some initial tweaks to the postions of the cameras to eliminate some bokeh to the picture at night but this was easily remedied by angling the camera down and away from the soffit slightly (I think it was caused by the LED bouncing off the soffit).
I think Eufy is relatively new but they do seem to be making regular updates to the app to include new features as well as improving performance. I’ve only just scratched the surface with using the features within the app and haven’t been using it for long, but it seems easy to use and intuitive. Features in the app include a smart detection feature which mentions human detection, facial detection, facial recognition, pet detection and crying detection – I haven’t explored these yet so can’t comment in detail except to say that I have one of the cameras set on the highest sensitivity setting and, as well as capturing all human, vehicle and other big movement, it has captured an inquisitive bee and tree sparrow that flew near the camera, and a pine marten(!) and a cat (both at night) that passed the camera at ground level about 20ft away. A close up screen shot of the face of a human visitor is included with the relevant footage, although the faces can be a bit blurry. The geofencing feature is useful as you can draw the areas you want to monitor (so, for example, I’ve drawn an area that excludes the bit around the outlet to my boiler otherwise the movement of the steam sets the camera off, and I’ve also excluded a couple of bushes that move when it’s windy otherwise they set it off). Everything that is captured can be stored on the homebase rather than in the cloud so there is no need for extra cloud subscriptions if you don’t want them (although it looks like that option is also on there if you want it). There are various alarm settings to choose from (home, away, disarmed, geofencing, schedule and you can also create a custom one). There’s also a snooze feature which is very useful if the cameras are armed but you need to pop past the camera for a short time (perhaps useful if you have forgotten to let the dog out or put the bin out and don’t want to mess around with changing the alarm settings).
Alexa integration is basic and in beta at the moment (there’s also Google Assistant and Homekit integration but I can’t comment on those as I don’t use them) so I look forward to more Alexa/IFTTT integration features in the future. For example, I’d like Alexa to tell me that a camera has been triggered (at the moment I can only get a notification chime which I keep missing) and I’d also like to be able to arm and disarm by voice so that I don’t have to mess around in the app when I’m going out the door with an armful of stuff. I’m sure this will come later (especially as it was advertised on earlier packaging and docs) and this would make the whole thing perfect for my needs.
So overall, I’m extremely pleased with the kit (more Alexa/IFTTT integration would make it perfect), and given my previous experience of their Support Team I am completely confident that if I have another query or issue it will be sorted promptly and efficiently. We need more companies like this one who take customer service really seriously and don’t just sell a product and run.
Used for security and peace of mind when you are out you can view on your phone it is excellent product worth the money.
To give you two examples.
A buzz on the phone alerted me. Looked at phone – post-lady waiting at the front door with a parcel. Spoke to her from work. Asked her to leave it with the neighbour. All done and dusted.
An alert at 3.00 in the morning. Eek… Looked at the phone to see a badger in the front garden. Didn’t know we had them!! reduced the sensitivity – badger still prowling, no alerts.
This Eufycam 2c is a replacement camera added to my existing system. The video quality is excellent and it is situated halfway down the garden protecting my garden shed with no issues with wifi signal. Because we have dogs it is set to the human mode and works really well. I must mention Eufy support which I have found excellent with customer support above and beyond what I had expected , thank you Lancky.
Great value for money. These cameras do everything for a tenth of the price!!
Ideal for any home or small business.
Great product dead easy to install even for a technofobia like me. Give the cameras a good charge before installing them
I returned a RING Doorbell due to poor picture and long delays in replacement for the EufyCam 2C, it’s so much better! I’ve got three if them now and they even work at the far end of my garden!
I added this to 2 Eufycam 2’s. They all work really well. Super easy to set up, app is great and easy to understand. I prefer not having to pay a monthly fee for some cloud blah blah which you have to do with competing brands.
Cant fault it so far!
A very good camera easy to sync with home unit and mount where needed to be
Very easy to install and user friendly really impressed with everything it does great bit of ki
Took a punt on these cameras after my Samsung CCTV system failed and so far I’m mega impressed. Paired these up with the Eufy cam 2’s and hub. Took literally seconds to sync and a matter of minutes to install on walls outside. Really reliable with excellent battery life so far. I have a feeling these will easily meet the stated battery life. I’d highly recommend. Just waiting for the doorbell to be released in the UK.
Awesome bit of kit, performs better than the arlo pro I have and the battery life is ridiculously good!
