Eufy Camera doorbell is well made and operates as expected, flawlessly.
Good doorbell but often takes a while to come through to my phone as someone ringing at my door. It’s not my internet that’s causing the delay.
Works as expected and no hidden trial period extras like another well known video doorbell. Easy to install and set up via the app, and the hard wired version means it doesn’t need recharging, and you can use it as a live surveillance camera viewed via your phone or via your account on the Eufy website. Only downsides I see, is that the onboard storage is limited to 4gb, and the 2k claim is fine if your phone or device supports 2k. Should have been designed to have expandable storage, come Eufy , sort that out and you’ll outsell that other brand. On the whole though, v satisfied ATM.

The included power supply and 5 metre cable was the perfect length for our mounting point which was very pleasing. Connection to the app and our Wifi was fairly simple and then the final stage was setting up the motion zone which did take a bit of patience to get it where I wanted it but got there in the end. I like the fact that it’s wired in and therefore no battery required and also no subscription.
My neighbour recommended this Door/Cam to me and I am happy to pass on that recommendation.
Bought this to replace a Ring doorbell after a 10 a month increase in subscription charges for each camera on the subscription, I must say I am very pleased with my purchase, the 2K video quality is excellent and I am not getting notifications for every car & dog walker passing in front of my house despite decreasing the zone minimum.
My only gripe is that the 4gb storage is on the doorbell itself so if anyone nicks off with I have no video of the theft, I have since also purchased the twin camera + Homebase with 16gb local storage, unfortunately the doorbell can’t save to the Homebase.
Needed some packing to angle for best view of visitors. Good access by phone app. Prone to false trigger at dawn and dusk.

… as AI easily fooled. See the first photo above: every time a light coloured van goes past I get a ‘human alert’ because the juxtaposition of van, my car in drive and round tree canopy looks like a head and shoulders! Once I’d got it to ignore that it then decided (photo 2) that the top left of the image (wall/underside of bay roof/rose bush) was a ‘human’ hourly for a few days. After a couple of weeks of careful tweaking its finally settled down and started to recognise things properly. And on the whole it works well, picking up 97% of people approaching the door (but annoyingly steadfastly refuses to pick up one of our 3 usual postmen who *never* triggers an alert).
Overall it works well and for me, being wheelchair bound, not having to rush to get to the door is a bonus!
Motion sensors very hard to get just right. Kept picking up christmas lights and car wheels as people. However sometimes doesn’t detect the postman coming to the door.
It does not work with alexa/google as expected. Yes our echo dot can be used as a chime but inwas expecting i could get the doorbell to show up on the TV via a fire stick but it doesn’t.
Overall pretty good for the price and with no subscription I would still recommend this to people.

Had a unit arrive that was defective and wouldn’t power on but customer support immediately replaced with no questions asked.
The replacement arrived quickly and it works great. The accompanying app is powerful but user friendly and the doorbell comes with a chime included.
Syncing was simple and painless.
I now have three Anker floodlight cameras, two battery packs and dozens of cables as well as this doorbell and apart from the first doorbell’s problems they’ve all been very reliable so no real concerns about quality
All round picture quality is great even at night. Motion detection works well and can be altered if you’re at home. Really like it has local storage so don’t need a subscription.

Without doubt this beats the competition out of sight Evrything about it is Top Quality 10 out of 10 does not even do it justice. I have it almost a year and when I demonstrate on my phone how it operates people are just blown away by Quality of the Device. Cannot Recommend Highly Enough.
I’m really impressed with the quality and value of this bell. I checked it against Ring bell and this is miles better. They seem to be responsive too with regular updates to features. No subscription required. But cloud back up option is available if needed. Ring could learn a lesson from Eufy on this front.

The quality is good and looks great but it temperamental when capturing motion detection despite me trying it on every setting. It just misses people coming right up to the door from a long footpath right in its field of vision.

I purchased the eufy security doorbell to replace my old Friedland doorbell. I was well aware that the power supply needed to be updated, and that a new power unit was included with the eufy doorbell. I decided to reuse the Friedland bell box, after removing the old mechanical chime – see photo. All of the new eufy doorbell components fitted inside ( I soldered directly to the mains power pins, and insulated with heat-shrink ) held in with zip ties. The bell box cover was reattached, and the only visible change is the new eufy security doorbell attached outside. I’m very pleased with eufy, it works very well with my iPhone, iPad and my Apple watch, with near instant notifications and thumbnail photos sent to my Apple watch as people approach the door. So far I don’t have any negatives, but I will update the review if any long term problems arise.

Once set up. Just need to tweak the motion settings to suit your surrounding..
Night vision is very clear. Picture quality is adjustable and is good at higher settings..

I can keep check on anyone who comes near my house, and speak to them if need be. It covers the car, so extreemly useful safety feature for me. I didn’t find the set up difficult either. (elderly Lady!)
My Ring pro was always having connnectivity issues and was slow to notify and was missing rings and notifications. Swithed to Eufy and its amazing, super quick, detects face, no missed notifications and no hidden fees ! Very happy.
Easy to install and setup, done in less than 30minutes. Exactly like the ring doorbell minus the charges. Second one i have purchased for my mom’s house after having mine for almost a year now, would highly recommend. The app is very easy to use and playback videos or watch through the live feed.
I’m a big fan of eufy cameras and decided to add a doorbell camera to cover the front door. Very easy to install, but I did have an issue where my wired doorbell wires were not compatible with the unit, not really eufy’s fault, although I would say that the unit is more US spec doorbells which could be why. That aside, it did come with a power line and plug so used that meaning the wiring wasn’t hidden, but that’s just something I need to address at some point.
Now on to the actual camera, really nice easy to use and good quality image. Being eufy, it also has a simple app system. There’s 4GB of onboard storage so no need for an additional microSD card. Love the two-way mic which is great when I can’t get to the door.
Only negative really would be I’d like eufy to supply a cover for it to make it difficult should someone try to take it off the door. I have 3D printed a cover for it to address this. It’s not a major thing, just a personal thought for added protection. If you do buy one and want one of these covers, search eufy doorbell camera cover on thingiverse.com – obviously only useful if you have access to a 3D printer.

Installation:
Naja, die Bedienungsanleitung gibt nicht alles her. So steht da nicht, dass man das Netzteil auch an die bestehende Verkabelung anschlieen kann, und nicht unbedingt ein Loch in die Wand bohren muss. Ich hab mich allerdings fr einen neuen Klingeltrafo (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00K1CWEUG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) entschieden, da ich fr das mitgelieferte Netzteil erst noch eine Steckdose installieren msste. Die Installation ging dann auch recht schnell. Ich habe allerdings meinen alten Gong abgeklemmt. Wichtig ist, dass die Klingel mind. 16V bis max 24 haben muss, daher habe ich eine Klingetrafo gewhlt der 24V Spannung liefert.
Einrichten
Nach dem ich den Strom zugeschaltet habe konnte ich mittels der App, die man sich zuvor herunterladen muss und ein Konto registrieren muss, prfen, ob die Spannung ausreichen ist. Der Rest des Einrichtens ist ein Kinderspiel. Zustzliche Nutzer knne hinzugefgt werden, allerdings mssen auch diese sich in der App registrieren.
Funktionsweise
Eine Verzgerung ist vorhanden, jedoch nicht strend. Es handelt sich nur um etwa 1 Sekunde. Das Bild ist sehr klar, bei Tag und Nacht, selbst bei Gegenlicht durch die Sonne. Auch die Benachrichtigung wenn man nicht im WLAN ist (Mobilfunk) klappt hervorragend. Der Gong ist laut genug.
Nun komme ich zu den Kritikpunkten:
Im Mobilfunk dauert der Bildaufbau trotz sehr guter Verbindung und hoher Down- und Uploadrate doch sehr lange. Ebenso lassen sich nicht immer die Videos im Speicher abrufen. Hier muss man mitunter mehrmals versuchen, das Video abzuspielen. Das Herunterladen hingegen klappt einwandfrei.
Die Video-Wiedergabe von den aufgezeichneten Videos funktioniert auf dem ipad Mini 4 mit der hchsten Auflsung nicht, der Live-Stream hingegen schon, was ich eigenartig finde. Hier knnte die App das Video einfach herunterskalieren.
Die Bewegungserkennung ist sehr sensibel, man sollte schon ziemlich genau den Aktivittsbereich einstellen.
Grundstzlich lsst sich ein zweiter Gong betreiben, den gibt es aber leider nicht einzeln zu kaufen, so die aktuelle auskunft des Supports. Unverstndlich.
Auch die Anbindung der Kamera an eine eigene Cloud oder zumindest an der von eufy angebotenen Homebase wre wnschenswert.
Der Alexa-Skill ist…naja, brauchbar…manchmal kommt auf dem FireCube eine Meldung, manchmal nicht. Zwar lsst sich das Bild der Kamera ber den FireCube auf den TV anzeigen, aber das ist kein Livestream. Nettes Gimmik, ist die Bild-in-Bild-Funktion. Da aber kein Livestream untersttz wird, ist es relativ nutzlos.
Kaufen wrde ich sie mir dennoch, da fr mich ds Preis-Leistungsverhltnis gegenber anderen Anbietern stimmt. Sehr groer Vorteil ist, dass man hier kein Abo bentigt, um Videos zu speichern und abzurufen.

Really happy with the quality of this product. Installation was straight forward and easy to set up for multiple devices. Night vision and overall footage quality really good. Slight delays occur on occasion but generally the doorbell is responsive. It can be triggered by birds/cats but this is not too much of an issue for me.
Opted for this over Ring as I did not want the hassle of a subscription service. Happy with the app which makes it easy to access the bell remotely and download wanted footage.
Overall I would recommend this product.

Second Eufy item for me after a Eufy robot vacuum, many items though from Anker over years if honest, always a good brand and experience, so far, highly recommended!
Omdat wij een te zwakke transformator hebben en deze niet wilde vervangen kreeg de deurbel te weinig stroom waardoor het niet werkte.
We hebben de deurbel omgeruild voor n op batterijen en deze wl bedraad aangesloten. Hierdoor krijgt de oplaadbare batterij nt genoeg stroom en hoeven we de deurbel er nooit af te halen om op te laden. De beelden zijn erg mooi en ook in het donker nog goed. Er zit een minimale vertraging op het signaleren van een mens en de melding op de telefoon. Bij aanbellen is er helemaal geen vertraging.

Nice and sharp picture (better than ring) you have a 3 levels of picture quality depending how fast the network you use. You can choose one of those 3 levels or choose auto and doorbell adjust to network speed.
Very sensitive microphone, I can hear clearly person at the door, but you have avoid taking on the same time. When you talk trough the phone, doorbell mute microphone to avoid noise distractions, and you can not hear person stranding before the door when talking. Only one person can talk at the time.
Nice looking product. It will be better for me to get in white finish but unfortunately white is not available.

Very good peice of kit. On the wired one make sure tye connections are done correctly and tight or will not connect.

Great doorbell, almost 5 star worthy however it struggles with motion detection at night due to being near a wall. Would be ideal if there was a solution to this as its almost perfect, quick notification and response and in daylight picks up every person in great quality.
Easy to set up and integrate with Alexa. We had to turn down the sensitivity of the motion detector a little to stop it going off all the time but that was simple to do.
Quality of the video is fantastic. Motion detection to then notify you is very responsive.
Overall a smart looking video doorbell which works and treat. Would definitely recommend!

The doorbell is not too big unlike others on the market.
My only issue is the doorbell can be removed with a pin. They need to improve this with a dedicated lock.
Every component is solid, looks built to last and the instructions were excellent. I wanted a second chime, which is not sold on its own in the UK. A quick email to Anker (Eufy) user support elicited an immediate response, offering a chime with a European, rather than UK, plug for 20 including postage, which I ordered and now have two chimes to cover the house. I used my existing 8-24VAC transformer and bell push wiring to connect the door bell and it worked first time. The door faces South but the camera provides clear images of approaching people, even with the sun full on into the lens.
So, kit great, user support outstanding, why the four stars?
Well, there are a couple of issues with motion detection. Basically, like most of these cameras, it doesn’t really work. Depending on the setting, it either triggers on snowflakes or misses approaching man-mountains! Set it up and use it just as a door bell with a built-in high quality camera offering the ability to see and talk to visitors from wherever you are instantly and you won’t go wrong or be disappointed.
Picture quality is excellent. Motion detection is actually pretty good when it is on the lowest setting. Really happy with the doorbell.
If you want to hardwire instead of using the plug then you may need a new transformer.
I have bought and installed this product for many of me clients and all are extremely happy. Great solid product.
The motion detection is good but it thinks car wheels are people so I get a myriad of erroneous notifications throughout the day. Secondly, the motion zones aren’t that great I still get notifications outside of the perimeter of the zone I set. Finally, it would be nice if they could include home base support for storing the videos. If the videos we stored in the Homebase it would allow for faster streaming of the videos when the Homebase is tethered to the router via an Ethernet cable, and possibly 24/7 recording with the larger storage. To conclude, this is by far the best video doorbell and I appreciate the fact that there isn’t any monthly subscriptions!

I have tried both of the Ring and Nest Hello doorbells. The quality of those are fine, but all recordings are kept in their cloud and you have to pay a monthly subscription to access them. The Eufy Doorbell is (a) better quality recordings, (b) it has great features and configuration via the app, and most importantly, (c) all recordings are kept locally, meaning there is no subscription requires to access all your recordings. My only regret is not chosing this first.

Considered a couple of options before buying like Ring and Nest, this had better reviews and internal storage also the others had connections issues with some hubs so opted for this. Have to say it’s been way better than I could have hoped, had to adjust sensitivity after installing but once I got that right it worked flawlessly, even allowing talkback to visitors or delivery staff. 100% no regrets about choosing this.

Fantastic video doorbell !
Went with wired due to the 3 second pre-record snippet on motion detection. Absolutely love.
Had to play with motion trigger settings a little but it’s working great. Very minimal delay from app to doorbell mist notably when you listen through it or speak through it but that’s only at most a second.
Hardest part of fitting was routing the wiring for my door.

It’s a fantastic doorbell with great resolution. I went with the wired version as it had built in 4GB worth of storage (subscription free!) and more importantly it captures motion 3 seconds before it happens and on the whole it works really well. The AI face/motion detection is a bit too sensitive and doesn’t quite get what a human face looks like so I get quite a few false alarms, but that than not getting anything at all. Although not a big deal it was a shame that it couldn’t link to the existing doorbell chime however it does include a plug in chime which has a selection of chimes. Also I had to replace my existing doorbell chime with one that was capable of powering the Eufy doorbell ie. It had to be 8v/12v or more. Again there was a plug-in power adapter that was included. And lastly the UK plug adapter was faulty and after a few email exchange Eufy sent a complete new unit to swap out the faulty part. Excellent customer service.
I tried the full witless system, but it would connect for me. Sent it back for refund. I also contacted Eufy customer support who sent me a free wired version (I had already purchased this one though) to try out completely free of charge. Fantastic customer service and product.
We already have a ring doorbell which costs approx 25 a year to keep its functionality dur to the subscription. But this doorbell is in a different class and is subscription free. Perfect.
Like this a lot. The plug in is fine, with it being wired it gives instant notifications. Picture is very good and you can adjust the area monitored in the app . Its nice and thin that allows you to attach to the door frame.the angle wedge is very useful when next to a wall. Would recommend.
Installation:
There’s lots on the box, but don’t be put off. All you do is drill a hole through the door frame or wall where the doorbell is fitted and then connect to a nearby wall plug. The camera clips to a mount that you screw into the frame, so this is definitely a DIY friendly install. Hopefully you have a plug near the door. If not, consider the battery version!
Setup:
Just follow the steps in the book and you’ll be fine. Scan the QR code, name the doorbell, set up an account and you’ll be away in 5 minutes.
Features :
You get everything that you do with Ring, but for no subscription.
Being able to customise the “detection zone” is a great feature that will allow you to remove areas that constantly set off the camera.
Local storage is built into the camera and it will delete footage once its reached capacity. Just stay on top of deleting unwanted alerts and you’ll be fine.
Ringtones are customisable and can be changed on the chime.
You can use pre – set responses or talk to your visitors in real time through the “call button” on the app page.
Quality :
Slightly grainy at night, but considering how dark it is where we live, that’s understandable. You can still see people/faces so I have no concerns over it. During the day it’s great and you can clearly see face and vehicle details if needed.
Cons:
The doorbell ring notification can be delayed reaching your phone, but if someone is legitimately wanting to see you (not just drop a parcel) they will still be there 5 seconds after they ring.
I’ve seen some comments about lack of HomeBase compatability, but I don’t use that, or know what it is, so can’t comment!
Summary:
Just buy it. Its an awesome doorbell that more than out-matches Ring. Go through Amazon, as its cheaper than through the Eufy app or website it seems.

Allerdings ist im Lieferumfang ein Trafo dabei. Das knnte man schon klar ersichtlich angeben.
Ansonsten kann ich noch nicht viel sagen, das Gert habe ich mal im Wohnzimmer zu Testzwecken eingerichtet.
Die Einrichtung war nicht allzuschwer. Mit der Person im Aussenbereich kann man nur ber zustzlichen Monitor oder ber die Handy-App sprechen aber nur wenn die Video-bertragung aktiviert ist.
Das Handy selbst kann als Trklingel im Innenraum verwendet werden.
Ob die W-Lan Funktion bis zum Gartentor reicht, muss ich erst probieren.
My son in law recommended this as he has an older ringdoorbell model. This one is very simple to use and video’s constantly, recording when it detects movement and alerts you. You can watch the video’s over, enlarging the image, pausing, rewinding etc. with no extra subscription cost. I highly recommend this doorbell!
In every aspect this product is better than the Ring 2 and no monthly charges. Make sure you set up the active zones and restricted problem sensing zone.
Really good features, facial recognition is brilliant, downloading and sharing are very simple too.
This particular doorbell is the hardwired version, this means it’s a standalone product and doesn’t sync back to the Eufy home hub. It’s a well made product although the surface does seem to scratch quite easily. Comes with a plug in chime that you can place anywhere in the house.
The pros that differentiate it from others on the market are :
* in built local 4gb storage
* no monthly subscriptions
* 2k recording
* end to end encryption
Overall the doorbell was relatively easy to fit, if you have an existing doorbell which has power then you’ll need to purchase an adequate transformer if you don’t intend to use the power socket adaptor supplied. Most existing doorbells seem to have a supply of 8v, Eufy state this doorbell needs 16-30v
The actual doorbell camera quality is fantastic! Wonderful night vision, audio quality is great and best of all very little lag between the live action and the video stream on your phone.
This links to the Eufy security app, which allows you to customize the motion detection. This is via activity zones that you can fine tune. The software has “ai” that can help distinguish human movement as opposed to say a tree branch moving, which is helpful is filtering out false notifications. The software also allows various “states” so you can have customized settings depending on if you are at home or away from home.
Also just to note only the wired version has the 3 second prebuffer video, this keeps a rolling 3 second video in temporary memory and is added onto the video of any event.
I had one small issue in that the provided plug attachment for the uk didn’t work, on contacting Eufy they sorted the issue super fast and basically told me to buy my own adaptor and they’d refund the cost, as they were out of stock themselves. Can’t get a better customer service than that!!!
My only gripe with this was that it’s not HomeKit compatible but I believe it does work with Alexa and google systems.
Overall fantastic doorbell!

Was nicht zuverlssig funktioniert ist die Erkennung von Personen. Meine erfasst einen Weg von sechs Metern bis zur Grundstcksgrenze. Trotzdem kommt es vor, dass ich aus der Tr gehen kann ohne, dass sie mich erfasst. Es hngt nicht nur mit den Lichtverhltnisse ab, sondern auch von der Geschwindigkeit mit der man sich bewegt. Je schneller man ist, desto wahrscheinlicher ist es, dass die Kamera Menschen nicht erkennt. Sie ist also als Sicherheitssystem nicht geeignet!
Bitte eine Version mit A.I./K.I. auf den Markt bringen.
Ich nutze sie nur als Klingel. berwachung bernimmt eine andere Kamera.
Nachteile:

1. Zeitverzgerung von Bild und Ton. Das kann bis zu 5 Sekunden sein. Da muss dringend noch etwas von Seiten Eufy getan werden. Z.B. nicht ber den Server von Eufy gehen, sondern direkt ber das Heimnetz aufrufen.
2. Kein Video-Call
Hier merkt man, das viele Firmen eine App fr iOS und Android zusammen entwickeln und somit Geld sparen. Deshalb ist das Benutzererlebnis und Einfachheit des Betriebsystem (z.B. iOS) nicht gegeben. Darunter leidet am Ende der Benutzer und die Zufriedenheit ist nicht zu 100% gegeben.
Hier spreche ich z.B. von der CallKit-Api von iOS. Damit knnte beim Klingel z.B. eine Anruf auf dem iPhone ttigen. Noch besser wre die VideoCallKit-Api. Damit wrde eine Video-Anruf gestartet (Ich bin selbst Software-Entwickler).
Vorteil:
Wenn man das iPhone in der Tasche hat und eine Apple Watch nutzt, bekommt man einen Hinweis auf der Apple Watch. Leider ist der Hinweis-Ton auf selbiger immer(!) der gleiche. Deshalb reagiert man nicht immer sofort. Es knnte ja auch nur eine Mail sein.
Bei einen Anruf wre das allerdings anders. Da hrt man einen Klingel-Ton und man wei, dass man sofort reagieren sollte.
Deshalb meine bitte an Eufy:
Bitte asap Video-Anruf implementieren.
3. Trotz Ankndigung keine HomeKit Integration
Als die Klingel auf dem Markt kam hie es, dass dies im Herbst 2020 nachgeliefert wird. Jetzt (Oktober 2020) wurde bekannt, dass es gar nicht kommt.
Das war mir fast klar, denn dafr ist eine von Apple zertifizierte Hardware ntig. Das htte bei der Entwicklung gleich von Anfang an bercksichtigt werden.
Da wurden wir als Kunden wieder durch falsche Versprechen getuscht.
Update vom 10.02.2022:
Neue Firmware draufgemacht. Klingel entfernt und neu eingerichtet. Jetzt gab es die Mglichkeit zu entscheiden, in welcher Umgebung und wie die Klingel dazu installiert ist. Danach gab es entsprechende Hinweise, wie man den Erkennungsbereich einstellen sollte. Danach war die Erkennung von Menschen viel besser. Was mir dabei aufgefallen ist, je hher ich die Empfindlichkeit gestellt habe, desto schlechter war die Menschen-Erkennung. Jetzt habe ich sie auf die MItte gestellt und es funktioniert erstaunlich gut.
Die HomeKit-Einbindung vermisse ich brigens nicht.
Was jetzt noch fehlt ist eine eindeutiger Klingelton auf der Apple Watch. Ja, das geht. Bei Netatmo geht es ja auch.

The Eufy doorbell is still performing well after a few weeks. I thought I’d update this review as the video feed to an Echo Show device seems much improved. The delay now, for me at least, is only 5 seconds. The feed does end after a few minutes but that appears to be by design.

Unit works well. A pity I can’t buy a second chime in Europe
Smashing product and wipes the floor with ring or nest with their grabby subscription packages. I was unfortunate enough to receive a defective bell and chime originally, but I was most impressed by the Anker customer service sorting out the replacement.
It seemed easy to replace my existing Nest doorbell and I gained an indoor free wireless chime
Fantastic doorbell, easy to install. The chime had a small issue in the extension connection, but this has been handled quickly by the support team of Eufy. I have never had such a good aftercare than with Eufy who take the time to listen and resolve the issue quickly. The doorbell quality is amazing with alexa integration. The wiring was easily set up. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants a good quality product without having to pay for cloud storage.
Ich htte das vorher lesen mssen muss man fairerweise sagen (in den Spezifikationen steht 16-24v), aber so macht die Kabelvariante aus meiner Sicht einfach keinen Sinn. Man muss ein Loch durch die Hauswand bohren und das beigelegte Netzteil in eine hoffentlich vorhandene Steckdose stecken oder einen neuen Klingetrafo einbauen, was wohl die wenigsten ohne Elektriker knnen. So macht das fr mich leider keinen Sinn. Schade…
Seltsam ist auch, dass zwar smtliches Zubehr zum berbrcken des vorhandenen Gongs dabei ist, aber nirgends in der Anleitung berhaupt davon geschrieben wird, dass das dafr gedacht ist und eine Klingeldraht installation prinzipiell mglich sein sollte….
UPDATE 23.09.2020: Der Eufy Support hat sich aufgrund der Rezension bei mir gemeldet und war sehr bemht das Thema zu klren, obwohl es ja eigentlich meine Schuld war, dass ich vorher nicht die Spezifikationen gelesen habe. Das nenn ich mal Kundenfreundlich! Danke dafr und fr den guten Support gibt es gleich 5*.
First one did not stay on the mount plate, had to exchange. Warranty process was really easy and quick.

Eufy support recommend a 24VAC 30VA output transformer (which cost 35 on Amazon and have reviews flagging how dangerous they are) which are extremely uncommon in uk and Ireland.
However i managed to get enough power from the 24VAC 1A trafo I had (search “garo 24v bell transformer” on screwfix, about a tenner). These are very similar to the transformer supplied by Ring Pro in the box in Europe. However most old houses will not have these so you will likely need to buy one separately.
I had to bypass my existing chime which was fine but its up and running now no problems (except some errors downloading firmware upgrades).
I contacted support but they were really not much help for installation.
App setup:
Once physically installed, app was super easy to setup. It prompted me to update firmware which wouldn’t work for me, but worked fine after a day.
Once setup you can choose activity zones and “ignore zones” for motion detection. Great for people near roads. You can also adjust motion sensitivity to only pick up what it detects at human movement with is great.
I only wish they had two motion sensitivity settings 1) to trigger recording (should be more sensitive) and 2) to trigger notifications (should be less sensitive and only when a human is detected). Otherwise you have the option get notifications all the time for any movement or else less notifications but less recordings (means you miss a lot).
Night vision is not an option for me as my setup has to be beside a large white wall which blows out the infrared (see 1st pic). However I have enough ambient light to not use it (last pic).
The supplied 15 wedge helps a little, but would love it there was a 45 corner cit available like there is for the ring, this would solve my night vision problem. They do exist but only from 3rd party 3d printers in America which is disappointing.

You can easily download the videos to your phone (one click) and then have Google photos backup the folder automatically which frees phone storage and retains everything in cloud. Downside is clearly this can be ripped off wall and videos which haven’t been downloaded to phone disappear once power is off.
Smart home integration:
I have it connected via my Google Nest Hub and my Echo Show. I can ask either to show me the doorbell and see it no problem. Haven’t yet tried but I don’t think they automatically display the feed when the bell goes, only when you ask.
You can also use Alexa routines to do things on door press (e.g. doorbell pressed, turn on outside lights). You cannot trigger anything on motion however.
For smartthings I have created a virtual device for when they doorbell is pressed which turns on via Alexa routine and off after 5 minutes. That was I can run automations based on front door activity with context of time of day etc. I’m hoping to figure a way to display the feed on my Nvidia shield depending on that button press, but I will come back if I can.
I should say too it does use echo devices as a chime as well which is handy for multiple floors of house (though provided chime is plenty loud IMHO).

Die Montage war etwas nervig, weil der Montagerahmen dnne Schraubkpfe voraussetzt. Da die Montage an Hauswnden mit Dmmmaterial mit entsprechenden Dbeln erfolgen muss, die meist einen Schraubendurchmesser von 4,5 voraussetzen, passten die dicken Schraubkpfe der 4,5er Schrauben nicht in den Montagerahmen. Hier wre also sinnvoll entsprechendes Material fr Dmmung beizulegen oder aber zwei weitere Schraublcher fr dickere Schrauben im Montagerahmen vorzusehen.
Die Installation der Klingel erfolgte mit dem vorhandenen Klingeldraht. Im Wirtschaftsraum habe ich dann die ankommenden Kabel mit einer Klemme auf das mitgelieferte Netzteil gebracht. Die Spannungsprfung – wird mit der Eufy-Software durchgefhrt – war natrlich auch erfolgreich. Diese hier angebotene Video-Trstation wird dann in ein vorhandenes WLAN eingebunden. Die Kameras (2C) – nicht Bestandteil dieses Angebots – werden direkt an die Homebase 2 verbunden (diese bauen ihr eigenes WLAN auf und benutzen nicht das bereits vorhandene!).
Kameras und Video-Trstation werden dann in der Eufy-Software gemeinsam angezeigt. Hier htte ich mir bei der angebotenen Variante gewnscht, zwischen der WLAN-Integration und der Homebase 2 Anbindung whlen zu knnen.
Warum? Weil es aktuell so ist, dass alle Videos auf der lokalen Speicherkarte der Video-Trstation gespeichert werden, nicht aber auf einem NAS oder der Homebase 2.
Dies hat zur Folge, dass mir jemand die Station abreissen und mitnehmen kann und ich am Ende nicht einmal ein Foto davon htte (und ob er dann irgendwie an die lokal gespeicherten Video dran kommt, ist auch fraglich..).
Ich habe bereits dem Support geschrieben und um dringende Korrektur gebeten. Es muss mglich sein das Video nicht nur lokal im Auengert, sondern parallel auch Remote (Cloud, NAS oder am besten die Homebase 2) speichern zu knnen. D.h. ich htte gerne die Aufnahme lokal auf dem Auengert und parallel auf der Homebase 2 gespeichert. Falls parallel nicht mglich ist, gerne erst lokal und dann eine Kopie auf die Homebase 2.
Da die Akku-Variante der Kamera an die Homebase 2 verbindet und dort speichert, gehe ich davon aus, dass das via Softwareupdate auch einfach zu realisieren ist und hoffentlich zeitnah kommt.
Ansonsten ist die Installation kinderleicht und die Kamera funktioniert sehr gut. Das Bild ist herausragend. Nach dem klingeln gibt es direkt eine Info auf das Handy. Wenn man mchte startet direkt der Live-Stream. Es knnen vordefinierte Antworten bermittelt, oder aber auch direkt mit der Person an der Tr gesprochen werden.
Was ich mir wnsche:
Lokale Speicherung + Speicherung auf Homebase 2 (parallel!)
Bercksichtigung von Installationsmaterial an Husern mit Dmmung. Hier wrden schon Schrauben mit einem 4,5er Durchmesser aber schmalem Kopf (so dass sie in den Installationsrahmen passen und auch an den Dmmdbeln halten), reichen.
Kameras mit 2k Auflsung, lokalem Speicher und paralleler Sicherung auf die Homebase 2. Gerne auch noch die Funktion der direkten Stromversorgung, dann wre das System grandios.
– Iniziamo dal contenuto della confezione: videocitofono, chime e adattatore per il montaggio angolato. Ma soprattutto (cosa che non mi era chiara) presente l’alimentatore del videocitofono.
Era l’unica cosa che mi rendeva perplesso, in quanto nella descrizione indicato “richiede cavi dei citofoni esistenti, 16-24 V CA, 30 VA o superiore”. Allora erano cominciati i miei dubbi sui fili preesistenti del mio appartamento: sarebbero stati sufficienti per alimentarlo? Probabilmente s, ma problema risolto in ogni caso perch presente il suo specifico alimentatore, con spine internazionali, inclusa l’italiana.
Il chime ha anch’esso la spina italiana tra le altre e funziona alla grande, ma a me non server perch integrando la skill in Alexa, quando qualcuno suona il campanello, mi squillano tutti gli Echo Dot che ho scelto di collegare.
– Utilizzo: l’app fatta bene ed intuitiva. Le notifiche sono immediate. Il videocitofono (che nel mio caso sar utilizzato al posto del campanello posto sul pianerottolo) ha una qualit altissima, anche di notte. Ha l’opzione per correggere l’effetto fisheye (avete presente la telecamera che fa effetto spioncino, tutto deformato in modo sferico). Sotto una certa distanza fisica sul videocitofono si illlumina un led azzurro ad anello, che a mio parere fa anche da deterrente per i malintenzionati… insomma avvisa che si sotto controllo.
Le impostazioni di rilevamento automatico sono eccezionali, grazie al software che distingue sagome e volti, riconoscendo se si tratta di persone vicine o lontane, di fronte o di spalle, animali, auto. Io ho abbassato il livello perch installandolo su pianerottolo, non voglio una notifica per ogni movimento, ma solo per persone vicine e che sono con il viso verso la mia porta di casa.
P.s.: alla prima accensione il software mi segnalava un aggiornamento firmware disponibile, che ne avrebbe migliorato le prestazioni. Come ho gi letto in altre recensioni, a mano non andava, ma il dispositivo di notte si poi aggiornato da solo, quindi non fateci caso, si risolve da s.
Got this product to replace my old one from another brand and I am amazed on the quality and sharpness of the picture it provides. When I received the package it feels very good quality and by just looking at how the content was packed you know the manufacture had put some thought into it. To be honest, it feels like open the package for my IPhone. Its easy to stall since I have already got the old one out and connection to my phone is very smooth as well. Just scan the barcode and follow the instructions. Its not the cheapest product in the market but you get what you paid for. This definitely add security feature to my house since I get notification whenever someone is at the door. Overall very happy customer.
