Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAbsolutely love this
After doing a lot of research. I settled in this product for my drive gate project.

Fantastic bit of kit. All the features you would expect, with the boyhood quality you expect.

The main feature that sold this 1 for me, is the self braking mechanism for the cutting disc.
Cuts the noise down no end.
    please

    Great piece of kit, but....
This is a great piece of kit only let down by the very poor instructions for both putting it together and how to operate it, and the completely useless dust collection system.
I appreciate that companies that sell products all over the world need to produce a huge booklet to cover as many languages as possible, but more care / thought should be given to making the instructions clearer and easier to follow.
The sawdust collection system just doesn’t work (unless perhaps I haven’t followed the less than helpful instructions!), the sawdust goes everywhere except into the collection bag.

Great bit of kit for the price
Purchased for decking and gazebo garden project. Ended up using it pretty much daily. Cut deckboards frame boards with ease and also used the saw to install mini guttering all cut square and neat. Also cut aluminium strip to make a skylight frame.
Can’t recommend it enough. Very impressed

    Well worth the money
An excellent machine, heavy duty enough to cut through 3mm steel with straight cuts, only one issue I had was the instruction manual wasn’t very helpful when putting it together but I used a YouTube video instead.

    May require some adjustme
Great saw so far, but had a few issues before I could use it.

I bought one of these on 28th April and the blade was not square vertically (which I adjusted) but it was faulty as it stopped running after about 3-8 seconds. I couldn’t tell if this was the motor or the trigger. After requesting a return I dismantled it and got it all back in the box (bit tricky). Hermes didn’t turn up twice to collect the return (may be due to being in a rural area) so Amazon refunded me and got DPD to collect who were spot on.

I bought a second one after being refunded on 7th May and this one’s laser was not parallel with the blade (which I adjusted) and the dustbag sewn edge started to come loose (I think due to the strength of the clip). The dustbag doesn’t collect much anyway so I use the box the saw came in to stop dust going everywhere, with a hoover below my bench to clean up afterwards. This one’s motor/trigger worked fine though and did not stop automatically. The trigger seemed to have a click that the 1st one didn’t so that could have been the issue rather than the motor. Hopefully this was a one off rather than a faulty batch and Evolution don’t recirculate the one I sent back.

Other than the initial faulty model, difficulty of return and some adjustments the saw has been really good at cutting plastic and wood (not tried metal yet). Love the slow startup and quick slowdown. As this is my first saw of this type it took me a moment to realise you had to hold a clip under the mitre arm to move it! Doing bevel and mitre cuts are super easy due to the handles. The clamps have been very helpful. Cutting quality and depth is great.

Someone I know that has had one of these for a while has warned me that dust can get caught under the base, where it swivels for mitre cuts, so I will be keeping an eye out for that as he said it can slow the swivel down or stop it.

Light enough to carry around. Used this for my composite decking. Cuts were accurate (did some practicing first) and clean with little to no burrs etc. dust collection bag wasn’t great for collecting composite sawdust but just removed it. Easy to do all kinds of cuts and the retaining devices did a good job holding the decking boards straight and true.
Now I have this I’ll try my hand at loads of other things like bin store and maybe a shed. Very pleased

    Great product for the price.
I bought this as I had a lot of skirting boards to fit.
I have never used a product like this before.
I have found it excellent and have used it for lots of things including cutting metal bars.
My only issue is the laser guide is not in line with the blade and you cannot adjust. It is offset to the left by about 1cm. However given the price this is an excellent produc
