Very Accurate
Excellent saw needed very little adjustment out of the box. Saw cuts through wood and MDF like a hot knife though butter and really cleanly. Very impressed with my purchase.
Effective saw but a little lacking in 'putting together' guidance.
Took a little time to work out putting together (especially the blade) as instructions were not particularly clear. Once together the saw has been put to work and proved very effective and reliable. Clean and accurate cuts have helped on a number of garden projects.
The saw works well, especially if cutting reused wood with nails or screws hidden in it, the saw just slows down a little and cuts through them. So all in all a good saw, but the dust collection is a joke. the silly little bag provided only serves to stop sawdust from going that way. I have not run it with a the vacuum connected, but I think it will be similar to the circular saw, and the dust collection facility looks like a pretend one. I dont think you can operate this cleanly.
Excellent tool
After minor adjustments, which were simple to perform, this has been an excellent buy. When fitted to he saw stand it has made tasks much easier, accurate and more rapid.
Well worth the money.

After doing some research and watching some YouTube reviews and reading the product reviews I decided to buy this saw for general house hold DIY. I have to say that straight out the box it does a great job, I have not even calibrated it yet. I would definitely recommend this mitre saw.
Does just what it was bought for.
This is the second sliding saw that I have bought of this make and model, first one I had 7years and it just wore out, I use it to cut logs and wood for my multi fuel burner.

Brilliant tool, used this non stop for a week fitting a new floor and skirting. Love it. Kinda which I got the double bevel version though.
Affordable and efficie
I already use a Dewalt mitre saw which is excellent. I needed a powerful saw for green timber and non wood materials. The Evolution came recommended. I found it easy to follow the set up instructions, once put together it needed very little tweaking to set all the accuracy parameters. Nice soft start motor and easy to use functions.
As the blade is multi materials the speed is slower than the Dewalt but that few extra seconds to cut similar pieces isn’t an issue.
Had it for a few weeks now and am pleased with it.

Fantastic build quality
I didn’t expect this to be a Makita or a Bosch but it’s actually very high quality. I know people complained about the laser accuracy before but to be honest if you know where it cuts in relation to the line it’s perfectly fine. .
I have been using it for cutting laminate laterally, and the cuts are very accurate vs a jig saw. I recommend this model since you’ll be able to use it for the majority of laminate cuts in a room

Very well made accurate saw, some great features including quick release clamps The problem I found is the multi purpose blade which is fitted as standard makes hard work of cutting medium to hard wood, and most people will use this unit for woodworking, so a second blade is required, perhaps an option when purchasing is the answer.
Ease of use for left handers
I’m left handed and sometimes it’s difficult to use power tools properly every thing is on the wrong side, but I found this a lot more left handed friendly. Thank you, Michael Hunt.

Evolution mitre saw
Absolutely brilliant piece of kit and I also bought the stand to accompany it. Both items do more than I expected and the saw cut everything I put in front of it. Bought the diamond blade just in case I need it in the future. As a package it was great value for money, cutting was accurate once I aligned the laser light, easy to assemble and use following the you tube video. Love it and wouldn’t go back to a more expensive one as this does the same.

Great tool
Use this saw nearly every day, cuts great had no issues with performance or accuracy. Laser sight is good, by its nature it is a bulky machine but does pack down for transport, would recommend this product.

Bought this to cut brass sheet. Not the easiest to assemble and you will need some help but once its done, its easy to use & does what it says. Cut 1.5mm brass so easily. So many options to cut different angles. 5*

Solid equipment, easy to operate which belies the good price
Bought to cut wooden sleepers for raised beds. It was easy to construct, especially following the really helpful YouTube video by Evolution. Straightforward to operate with the useful laser line. Only challenge was spotting how the pin to release the chop saw operated.

Bulletproof very well made , i had gone to the usual retailers and looked at other machines but they all had weak bits that could potentially break easy .
I have a friend who owns a builders yard with a industrial saw and he uses this for the other general cuts , he has had it for two years and its still going strong, when i looked at similar priced saws they didn’t have the same spec or build quality, my only concern was that it has been labelled as a overall machine with one blade that does everything, i was concerned on the finer cuts .
I bought a finer wood blade 80 teeth and it sorted out my laminate without a single burr on any piece i cut , it just feels meaty and makes me want to do more projects , ive borrowed tools of a friend before and paid him with beer but wish id bought my own years ago, ill never struggle with a hand saw again.

Great saw, cuts like a knife through butter.
Bought one that was damaged on arrival, a bit of a nightmare getting Hermes to collect it but bought another straight away.

Much cheaper than the default, makita rivals. I bought this based on blade size and cut depth. Also it has 2 adjustable clamps to hold material in place. My previous ryobi had only 1 clamp so it was a bit awkward. Easy to set up. Has excellent rpm which is a key to any saw. I previously had cordless battery ryobi. Electric works so much better.

Great bit of kit but you have to square it up before using.
You won’t get better value than this
Easy to put together out of the box. Has every function you could want and performs them all well. I cannot fault this saw at all. If you need a saw but don’t want to pay for the bigger names this is the one for you. The only issue I’ve had is the accuracy of the laser but tbh I don’t tend to use it anyway.

First time using a power saw this size very easy to use saved me a lot of time if set up properly accuracy is good would recommend this saw.

Fantastic product. Fairly easy to assemble product following the videos provided with the instructions. Checked all default settings and cut accurately without need for any adjustments/calibrations. Purchased for decking/pergola home project and did not disappoint. Cut through timber joints and composite decking like butter and with a good finish.

Excellent value, versatile, multi material saw.
Excellent saw and bought at a good offer price. Perfect for my needs which are mainly woodworking so not tried it yet with other materials. Did need some minor adjustment to get everything square but this was a simple job. Recommended.

The mitre saw works very well but the laser does not do anything it just lights up but doesn’t shine onto what your cutting but I would still recommend the saw

Being new to woodwork (although I have lived 50 womanly years!!!) I was a bit unsure of how easy to use this would be.
I can say I need mot of worried. Following the assembly instructions from the QR card was simple enough. I am impressed with the ease of use and lovely precise straight cuts. The only slightly negative thing, make sure the blade is at full speed before attempting to cut and even though it has sturdy carrying handles it’s not so easy to move.
Highly recommended.

Easy to set up and use, strong and sturdy and of course accurate. Laser guide is a god send. I bought the stand with mine, wise move as it improves the work. Really pleased, and as a beginner, I have just finished my very first project, a workbench with the help of this kit.

Used product for many diy project’s throughout the home . Also laying outside decking. Easy to use and very easy to set up . Down side the sawdust bag stays empty !!! Overall great value

Mitre way to easy diy
So glad I got this. Easy setup once I watched the video. Have been able to cut Oak sleepers (have to turn them over) does a great clean cut. Has made diy so much easier. Has some handy clamps and the laser is good to help find the line. Well worth the money

Far better than my previous machine which lasted many years. I like the preset angles which slot in and are spot on once adjusted once. Had to wait until the price dropped to better the two previous machines I purchased for son and son in law.

Swift delivery,excellent packaging Instruction manual very comprehensive. The Saw itself is excellent and the multi-purpose blade gave a surprisingly fine cut on wood. The speed at which the blade starts up and how fast it stops is really impressive. Thus far the laser guide has been spot on. Overall I am very happy.
The laser is not working
i recived the saw few days before and today i open the box i the 1st time
the saw seems OK and working (i cut only one pice of wood for testing)
but the laser is not working!
i activate the laser from the on/off button located at the handle – no laser, no light caming from the laser pointer.
when i open the box and start to assembly the saw, the circular plastic window/gard was found out from the laser pointer, i install it back to his place but its still not working
what i do wrong?

Right, to be clear, this is the only mitre saw I have ever used. However, I am amazed at how well it cuts and what I can do with it. I have also purchased a diamond disc for cutting quarry tiles. It makes light work of cutting the quarries, at least so far! Much better than being sprayed with water from a tile cutting machine. However I have yet to see how long the diamond disc lasts. I shall report back in a while.

This product is well made and value for money however, the laser function did not work.

The saw needs some assembly but the parts fit together easy enough. I made a table with 4xbraked castors to mount the fully assembled saw on, which works well. This saw is superior to my older one, having soft start and braked motor. Its very smooth in operation and cuts larger material. Very pleased with my purchase.

A great miter saw.
This is an excellent miter saw. Easy to use and very accurate. Also powerful. The laser guide works well.
Works well with the miter saw stand. Made the job very much easier all round.

Not entirely accurate straight out of the box... but...
Brilliant value for money, a great piece of kit although the dust collection bag is next to useless, or I’m missing something! This is my first Evolution product, and my first foray into Sliding Compound Saws – I spent ages looking at alternative brands but with my home DIY budget I figured this we a well specc’d item that should more than cover my needs – so far – after only a little light use, I’m v pleased with my purchase!
Good product, easy to use
It has plenty of futures and it seems to be well built. I didn’t like when I took it out of the box, there was some mold on the dust extraction bag.

I find this a very good saw, I just have two small niggles. (1) The dust extraction is quite poor even with quite a powerful dust extracter on it there is still a lot of dust about. (2) The laser light is also very poor, even with adjustment and keeping it clean it still doesn’t show up on your work very good. Other than that I’m very pleased with it.

Could not get a joiner to turn up so got this to cut cornice at 67.5 degrees and it was spot on so paid less than it was going to cost for joiner and got saw for future jobs
Good piece of kit but requires building up.
Found this exact same product had been reduced in price the day after i ordered it so wasn’t happy however its a good saw and does exactly as advertised. Its one of the cheaper makes so cant yet comment on the longevity of it. It does require some assembly and the instructions are not exactly clear but if you are competent in using this saw you should have the competence to assemble it.

Total amateur to wood working.
My main need was to cut medium sized logs from the garden and the occasional wood work.
Excellent machine.
Easy to assemble, official short video online is very useful, although had to pause many times.
Laser is not that bright but can live with it.
Cuts anything like butter.
Comes with a collection bag but is almost useless and the debris is all over the place. Will need a good hand held vaccum or a blower.
Very happy as the machine is very sturdy and of such good quality

Excellent, accurate, easy to use
Overall very impressed, it makes clean accurate cuts and is easy to use. Only slight niggle is the Instructions are a bit hard to understand and there are a lot of models which can get confusing.
