PD40R V2.0 LED Torch is a compact 3000 lumen Fenix torch supplied with a high capacity 21700 Li-ion battery that delivers exceptional output and run times. The battery is charged in the torch via a waterproof USB-C socket in the neck of the light (charging cable supplied) and the torch is operated by a patented mechanical rotary switch in the head controlling four brightness levels from 30 to 3000 lumens plus Strobe mode. Gute Verarbeitung, kleines Format und sehr hell
Fr das kleine Format ist das eine excellente Lampe. Hervorhebenswert auch die Bedienung, welche mit einem einfachen kleinen Drehring am Fokus der Lampe funktioniert. Unglaublich hell!
Mit dieser Taschenlampe von Fenix ist die bislang hellste Taschnlampe in unseren Haushalt gekommen.
Mit dieser trotzdem noch sehr kompakten hosentaschentauglichen Lampe kann man in der Nacht eine ganze Landstrae ausleuchten wie sonnst nur mit groen Autoscheinwerfern. Wahnsinn!!
Was man aber auch wissen muss, der Akku, bzw. die Steuerung der Taschenlampe lsst dies nicht lange zu. Wenn der Akku den Ladezustand von 85% unterschreitet geht bereits die 3000 Lumen Turbostufe nicht mehr. Aber 1000 Lumen stehen noch deutlich lnger zur Verfgung. Aber mal ganz ehrlich: 1000 Lumen sind fr eine sehr helle Taschenlampe vollkommen ausreichend. Wer 3000 Lumen fr eine lngere Zeit zur Verfgung haben mchte sollte sich ein greres Modell mit mehr Akkuleistung zulegen. Ich selbst betreibe diese Lampe vorzugsweise in der niedrigsten Stufe die fr fast alle Ttigkeiten mehr als ausreichend ist.
Haupt Kaufgrund fr diese Taschenlampe war allerdings der Drehschalter der meines Erachtens am Intuitivsten von allen Mehrstufenschaltern bedienbar ist. Ich besitze bereits mehrere helle LED Lampen welche zumeist mit ein oder zwei Druckschaltern ausgestattet sind. Dort muss man immer durch die verschiedenen Leuchtmodi durchklicken und jeder Hersteller verwendet da sein eigenes Schema. Dies finde ich oft zu kompliziert.
Die Lsung mit dem Drehschalter bei dieser Fenix finde ich hingegen Idiotensicher. Allerdings braucht man blicherweise zwei Hnde um sie zu bedienen. (Geht aber mit etwas Fingerbeweglichkeit auch mit einer Hand)
Die Lichtfarbe hat meiner Meinung nach und im Vergleich zu anderen LED Lampen einen ganz leichten Grnstich. Betreibt man die Fenix alleine, bemerkt man dies jedoch nicht.
Robust und qualitativ hochwertig verarbeitet sind sowiso alle Produkte von Fenix.
Der Preis ist nicht ganz gnstig aber doch angemessen.

Love rotary option & reason for purchase. Great light options & works seemlessly between power levels. Is a bigger torch given the 18650 battery but not heavy & as always with Fenix superbly well constructed. Is a little on the pricey side given there are brighter more powerful options out there for less BUT the rotary dial is a deal maker for me & wouldn’t swap it for the button style torches which can take time to ramp through the light levels. Very intuitive & easy to use.

La profondit della luce dichiarata 400 mt, alla mx potenza fino a 150/200 mt si vede benissimo oltre avrei dei dubbi. Le dimensione sono buone, non troppo piccola e non troppo grande, un p scomoda da accendere per la funzione di accensione a ghiera rotante…

Bellissima torcia, ho aspettato con ansia il giorno del suo arrivo e appena sceso il buio ho voluto provarla disturbando i vicini del condominio di fronte.
La modalit pi luminosa veramente potente, ma ottimo anche che ci sia una modalit meno luminosa che fa comunque una buona luce ma che consuma molto poco la batteria. Finalmente ho la mia torcia per le mie escursioni notturne in montagna

Nahezu perfekte Taschenlampe
Die Taschenlampe ist sehr hell, wasserdicht und hat eine lange Laufzeit. Das sind genau die Eigenschaften nach denen ich gesucht habe.
Wie bereits in anderen Rezensionen angemerkt, geht der Drehregler relativ schwer drehen, weshalb man die Lampe in zwei Hnde nehmen muss um sie ein-/aus- oder umzuschalten.
Die Lampe kam bei mir mit einer beidseitig ziemlich aufgerissenen Packung an (wer ffnet Packungen so grobmotorisch?), war also anscheinend schon einmal eine Rcksendung. Die Lampe an sich und das Zubehr waren aber vollstndig und in Ordnung.
Wegen des etwas zu schwergngigen Drehreglers und der zerrissenen Packung ziehe ich einen Stern ab.

Lange Zeit habe ich nach einer handlichen und dennoch leuchtstarken Lampe fr die Hosentasche gesucht. Ich wollte auch nie wirklich viel Geld dafr ausgeben, aber ich habe schnell gemerkt, dass im unteren Preisbereich kaum bis keine Qualitt gegeben ist. Das ist bei dieser Lampe hier anders. Sie kostet zwar etwas mehr, aber bietet dafr auch eine super gute Qualitt!
Ich habe die Fenix PD40R V2.0 letztendlich bestellt und sie kam recht schnell und gut verpackt bei mir an. Alles war vollstndig und nichts war defekt. Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind 1x die Taschenlampe, eine 5000 mAh Akkubatterie und eine praktische Tasche mit Grtelhalterung.
Nachdem ich den Akku geladen hatte ging es abends mit Freunden in den Wald (wir sind oft Outdoor unterwegs), erster Test direkt der Hrtetest, denn es regnete ziemlich stark. Die Lampe hat keinerlei Probleme mit Regen oder einer Pftze, das kann sie locker ab, was mich schon sehr begeisterte. Sie wird aber auch angegeben, dass sie nach IP68 bis 2 Meter Tiefe wasserdicht sein soll. Einmal fiel sie mir leider auch runter, da es ziemlich matschig war und ich an einem Hang ausgerutscht bin, was aber in keinster Weise die Funktion beeintrchtigt hatte. Schnell in einem See gereinigt und weiter ging es. Top!
Durch die verschiedenen einstellbaren Modi kann man die Leuchtkraft der Lampe regulieren bzw. verstrken. Hier muss man aber aufpassen, denn je heller die Lampe leuchtet, umso heier wird sie. Hier ist also Vorsicht geboten. Auf hellster Stufe leuchtet sie zwar recht lange, aber sie wird an der Linse in krzester Zeit extrem hei. Dennoch erscheint mir die Verarbeitung der Lampe sehr hochwertig und auch das Gehuse der Lampe ist optisch sehr ansprechend.
Angegeben ist die Lampe mit einer Leuchtkraft von 3000 Lumen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass sie diese auch erreicht, denn im Turbo Modus ist sie wirklich extrem hell und kann einen bestimmten Bereich sehr gut ausleuchten. Eingestellt werden die verschiedenen Helligkeitsstufen durch einen mechanischen Drehregler, was mir persnlich sehr gut gefllt.
Aufgeladen wird der Akku ber USB C, das klappt auch sehr gut und die Lampe ist in wenigen Stunden voll geladen.
Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung fr jeden, der eine anstndige Taschenlampe sucht.

La torcia Fenix PD40 senza dubbio la migliore torcia professiinale che abbia mai avuto. Piccola e leggera per poterla portare ovunque, fatta in maniera molto accurata e potentissima, con una luminosit nettamente superiore a torce pi grandi che dichiarano oltre 5000 lumen. Bassissimo inoltre il consumo della batteria. Oggi usata intera giornata e l’indicatore la d ancora altissima. Comodo l’interruttore rotativo, appena ci prendi la mano. Consegna al Top: ordinata domenica sera e ricevuta marted pomeriggio. la mia terza Fenix (la precedente purtroppo persa dopo oltre 10 anni di utilizzo intenso) e devo dire che ho sicuramente sbagliato a pensare di cambiare marca. Nell’ambito delle torce professionali, Fenix non ha veramente alcun rivale!

PROS:
– The light beam intensity is great, completely different league compared to my 8y.o. tactic LedLenser of similar size.
– Very nice warm white light, looks almost like the sun.
– All 4 intensity levels are useful. For many tasks the first low level is sufficient and comfortable.
– It’s rechargeable and with USB-c port which is very convenient. I can charge it directly from my MacBook or iPad cable which is awesome.
CONS:
– Overall it feels like a Chinese product, with its poor design and usability thinking, tasteless and meaningless typography on the body, etc.
– The switch feels mediocre quality and is hard to operate with one hand.
– Strobe mode is utterly useless and awkwardly positioned. I often turn it on unintentionally when aiming for the high beam. In the dark it’s like tasering yourself every time. I don’t want this crap in my flashlight at all.
– The charge indicator is awkwardly positioned. Being on the opposite side from the mode indication, it remains completely out of sight when you turn on the light. You won’t see it unless specifically checking for the charge level.
– The packaging is excessive and wasteful. Too much plastic and paper only to hold it in hands for a minute and throw away. I believe the vendor should start thinking about the environment and the message they send out to the world.

dies ist meine erste Taschenlampe fr so viel Geld, bin aber vllig begeistert. Die Leuchtkraft mit 3000 Lumen ist Mega hell. Selbst bei 1000 Lumen ist die Intensitt vllig ausreichend. Am besten gefllt mir ,der mechanische Drehregler, mit der man jederzeit schnell und kontrolliert seine gewnschte Position findet. Die Lampe passt in die Hosentasche,macht einen super Eindruck, und liegt fr mich gut in der Hand . Wenn es vllig dunkel ist, ist selbst die kleinste Stufe hell genug um zum Beispiel in der Gartenlaube oder in der Wohnung etwas zu suchen. Das Aufladen per USB C klappt super und ist fr meine Bedrfnisse gut gelst. Einfach und simpel. Beim Gassi gehen mit Hund hat man eine gute Sicht und kann den Bereich gut ausleuchten , Selbst bei blendenden Auto Licht , Ist die Leuchtkraft so hoch dass man trotzdessen alles gut erkennen kann. Deshalb gibt es von mir volle Punktzahl.

So in the last couple of years these torches are so much better, the new turn dial is great, USB c standard for charging and last but not least it’s so so so bright with a good area of flood. Should last a good few years
I have a lot of lights, and quite a few Fenix, Olight and Nitecore torches. Out of all of them, the 2 that I use the most are Fenix’s LD30 (small, 1600lm) and this one, the PD40 V2. When I want more power I reach for this variable power torch. The rotary power dial around the bezel makes it very simple to vary the light output from off all the way to 3000 lumens with just a quick twist and I find this a much better option than the multiple press of a button method on my other lights. Two other things made this a favourite: It uses a very high capacity 21700 battery, which will run the light on its highest setting for over two and a half hours. Most other lights have a much lower run time than this – and many will not run on their highest setting for longer than a few minutes.
Secondly, Fenix have thoughtfully used a standard 21700 battery, which means if you want to have spare batteries on hand, they are easy to obtain and can be charged outside of the torch with a standard charger. Many other companies (notably Olight) are now using standard sized batteries, but with proprietary connectors, which means you can only charge them in the torch which they fit.
There’s another option too: Fenix make a 21700 battery with a micro USB port built in. This means you can charge the spare batteries with a standard USB charger – or even in the car if you have a suitable USB outlet in there.
So yes, it’s an expensive torch, but you get what you pay for. If you’re willing to prioritise quality and thoughtful design over price, this is a tool that will provide years of excellent service and easily outperform cheaper options.
