They work well
I’ve tried a few versions of these firelighters as there are lots varying in price. A lot of them come very small (way smaller than their description) and don’t seem to burn brilliantly meaning you use more of them for the same job.
I bought some flamers ones as I was given a sample pack a while back and they worked great. They were however full size, 10cm roughly, whilst again these were small 3cm. Saying that, compared to the other ones I’ve tried these actually burnt well and I only needed two and a bit of kindling to get a smokeless coal fire going.
I’ll probably come back to these again when I run out as they seem more reliable and burn hot for a good amount of time.

LOVE THESES FLAMERS THEY NEVER FAIL A LITTLE DEARER THAN SOME BUT THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT. I BOUGHT ANOTHER BRAND TO SAVE A COUPLE OF S WISH I NEVER BOTHERED AS SOME OF THEM DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH STRAW TO LIGHT THE FIRE. YES FLAMERS FOR ME IS THE BEST.
Great value for money
These are fantastic value for money – unlike some fire lighters on the market, you can tell these are quality as they stay alight for a very long time; giving fires time to catch. I’ll definitely buy again when I run out.
Easy to use
Although these appear to be small, they really do the job well. I used them to fire up my chimenea after fixing it with cement I purchased here on Amazon. They lasted well as the wood caught fire.

We had years of problems trying to get our log burner to light. We gave up. It was only a chance encounter on Amazon that introduced us to this product. We’ve had loads of use from our log burner finally !

Nice firelighters
Good, clean firelighters. Always buy this type and i would say they were slightly better than some of the other makes that i have bought. You always get a few bits in the bottom of the box with all the brands, it cant be avoided.

Only need 1 to start our wood burner. Came quickly. Exactly number of lighters as per described. Box could do with being a bit better so it can be closed up for storage better but can’t fault these lighters or supplier. Had other from Amazon and over quarter short on amount described in box. Price then went up by 10. So I’m glad they did these are far better.

i use these to shart a charcoal chimny for the bbq and they work great.
easy to light and burn fo enough time to set the charcoal off.
some people have said there different sizes or they flake apart and although thats true in the 3 boxes i’ve had so far it doesn’t matter at all and they catch fire what ever the size and burn really well

A greener optio
I have been looking for the “least worst” environmental lighter for a while. I used to use newspaper but it created a lot of ash and was hit and miss. These lighters are great for a really quick lighting of your kindling and do not need to be used with any newspaper. They aren’t the cheapest firelighters around but I feel comfortable spending a bit more knowing that it is better for the environment. Will buy again.

These are perfect for lighting our wood burning stove. Just one buried into a kindling nest is all that is required

With a 100% success rate lighting the wood burner using these, I’ll use nothing else. You only need one but two gets the stove racing much quicker for an efficient high temperature to be achieved.

I’ve used these for lighting our BBQ and our log burner, as they’re natural them don’t have a horrible chemical smaell when lit and they light easily and produce more than enough flame for enough time for the fire to be established.
I think this was one of the earlier companies to bring these to mainstream use, and as a result there are now many sellers who offer similar starters in larger quantities for much less money.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this product, but I’d suggest going elsewhere as you’re really just paying for nice packaging on these now, generic ones work just as well.

Ok, I wasn’t expecting this, but these are outstanding
* Note, to get the best out of these don’t put them under heavy logs, they ‘smother’ easier than normal chemical firelighters. They need a bit of room to ‘breath’. Best method with a log burner is the ‘upside down’ way of building a fire. Largest logs at the bottom, small fire with kindling on top. This is the best method anyway regardless of how to light it, but this is the best was for these.
I was a bit sceptical, but having 2 log burners, smoker and a lots of BBQ’s, thought I would give a more natural option a try as we use a lot of fire lighters. But these are a revelation, they have totally exceeded my expectations. They are better than normal chemical firelighter and burn longer. Can’t see myself buying ‘normal’ ones again.

Have used for a few years now to light the log burner. They do indeed last a long time, and will get kindling hot quickly without newspaper.
Husband didn’t get on with them lighting our small bbq, but they worked great on the school fete bbq stall, but we did use 3 of them just to be sure.

We have a wood burning stove and sometimes the wood is not quite as dry as we would like. But Flamers always get our fire going.
Natural way to get a fire going
I’ve started using these recently and they seem pretty effective and don’t have the petrol smell of the ones I usually have. You still need to build the fire properly but I find I only need one or two to get a good fire going in the wood burner.

Vital for successfully lighting the fire
We used to buy small packets of these firelighters in a local DIY, but after finding this deal online we can now get the large packet at a very reasonable price.
