It is bigger than I thought. It seems to compact the grass as well as collect it but it is a little heavy and it’s a bit of a struggle over the pot holes in the garden. Good price though.
Replacement for Lawnmaster which had a small faulty part which they could not replace Amazon refunded money and the Flymo was purchased at a cheaper price and is better lawnmowe
Similar to my last mower but this grass box is more awkward to use. It is half covered so the grass won’t come out easily. You have to put your hand in and pull and push the grass out.
As usual the electric cable is to short so despite having a small lawn close to the house, I always have to use an extension cable.
When we moved into our home seven months ago, the front and back gardens were overgrown with thick dense grass. We bought the Flymo EasiGlide Plus with a 36 cm cutting width to help with the big task ahead. This lawn mower is well-built and robust. It comes with a 10-metre cable which is fine for the front garden, however, our medium-sized back garden would require an extension lead. The mower is portable and relatively lightweight. It is easy to use, but it helps to read the instructions first!
The noise level of the mower was acceptable with no vibrations; the sound would not have upset our neighbours. We did not experience an ‘EasyGlide’ as the surface of the front garden is both uneven and (on the day of using the product) the grass was damp. Most of the cut grass went into the collection box, but the excess may have been left due to ground moisture issues; future use will confirm this theory.
On a negative note, cleaning the lawn mower was frustrating due to difficulty accessing the relevant areas.
Overall, the easily stored Flymo EasiGlide Plus Lawn mower successfully cuts thick dense grass with no fuss within a short time. We recommend it.
I have a small front and back lawn and this mower gives a really good cut and holds plenty of grass with a clear view of when it’s ready to be emptied, folds away well and is an easy carry to boot, competively priced into the bargain.
The lawnmower produces a good finish but the lawnmower itself feels a little flimsy compared to my other flymo lawnmower this one folds down to a compact size and is easy to empty the height adjustment is done by adding the discs on to the bolted blade underneath my older one had a lever to lower it only plus side with this new one the motor is more powerful
This is my first hover mower having previously owned a wheeled rotary with back roller.
My main reason for switching is that I found the rotary hard to manoeuvre when turning.
The hover mower wins hands down here, it’s still not buttery smooth but there’s really no comparison.
Without a back roller, the grass looks seamless, like a carpet when finished and it retains the same aspect as it grows taller. Obviously, you won’t get the lines with this but this suits me fine.
The main downside: grass collection. The mower does a really poor job of collecting grass whether the grass is bone dry or slightly moist. Some grass is collected but quite a lot is dumped on the lawn, requiring raking to remove excess. Basically the fan underneath the grass-box gets clogged and the fresh clippings can’t get past it.
Other downsides are:
1. very difficult to adjust height, requiring removal of the blades using a special tool (included), strength, patience, thick gloves, courage and confidence. I have mine set to the minimum grass height (semi-permanently).
2. Uneven patches of lawns, especially at edges, can get absolutely destroyed down the roots when the mower is hovering lower than the other part.
3. It’s heavy, like really heavy and it doesn’t have wheels so it needs to be carried to the lawn.
4. It’s great that it can be folded for storage; what’s not so great is that the mechanism is tricky and it makes the handle seem fragile and flimsy.
In conclusion: a step up from my wheeled rotary (although that was amazing at grass collection) but I recommend you do better research than I did and try and find a mower that doesn’t dump grass all over the lawn.
This is amazon on grass. Quality is excel.
Cutting width nice.
Sound not too loud.
Easy too store. Folds down as well. Easy too work.
Definitely buy this product agai
This is the smaller version of our last mower. Lighter to push. The last one you could make the cut higher or lower with a lever on the top but this requires unending and putting in spacers with the provided tool. This feels very flimsy as so much pressure has to be applied to turn it. I couldn’t do it myself and had to get my husband to it. The biggest drawback was the length of the cable which wouldn’t go to the end of the grass in our moderate sized garden and the next time I will have to plug it into an extension lead which isn’t ideal
I have a large garden and this easily does the job with an extension lead. Trying to avoid a petrol mower… blade is set high out of the box so if your grass is reasonably under control in length you will want to lower it.
Good powerful machine. Well made. Could do with a slightly longer cord.
Does pick up grass but not as well as my old flymo. A lot bellows out of the machine. Only got a relatively small garden so not a huge issue for me
As other reviewers state, it does blow out a fair amount of grass which needs sweeping afterwards, but hopefully the trade off will be more time between cuts which is my primary consideration.
I noticed on starting it up that there is a momentary slight screech which possibly is normal, at least there is the 2 year warranty to fall back on and it was supplied by Amazon….we shall see.
Although easy to use the actual lead length could be longer and would not reach the end of my lawn.Because of this i needed the extra expense of purchasing an extension lead.
I’ve struggled with the old mower for a few years and I needed something bigger better and lighter which cuts grass and this does all that with little effort. Result!
Viel dnnes Plastik, aber sehr leicht und handlich, Schnittleistung ist ausreichend
Spacers easy to fit.
Space saving when folded.
Great cut.
This is a very light and easy to use mower. The lid is a bit flimsy though and doesn’t close properly.
Lawnmower is very good picks up all the grass and easy to put away.
Work from right to left for best grass collection left to right seems to blow a lot of cuttings abou
Came fully assembled out of the box. Just needed to put the grass box handle on. Works so well. Always loved Flymo
I have had similar model before and it lasted for years so had no hesitation in this purchase.
Easy to use and very efficient at cutting our uneven lawn.
Good mower, with good sized grass box. My only issue is that it doesn’t really get edges of the lawn.
For my garden, the machine needs larger wheels at the front cos my lawn has a lot of divots & uneven bumps in it & the wheels tend to go down the divots & stop the machine.
My old Flymo had larger wheels & did not suffer from this problem.
If you have an even lawn with no divots then this machine will be great.
All I need to do is even out the lawn & the machine will be fine, but it’s getting a Round Tuit.
Works as well as described. Very easy to use and glides nicely over the garden for a nice even cut.
The most annoying thing is the fact that the bolt holding the blade is plastic and was very difficult to remove without breaking . Not a very good design idea.
Always have a flymo as I have never had a problem with them, and having a bumpy lawn the hover mower is well suited.
I love this hover lawn mower. I have had them all my married life. They are lovely and light to use. They cut the lawn lovely. Wouldn’t have any other.
It doesn’t cut low enough for my liking so I added an extra spacer. Beware when doing this though, because the mower will ‘dig’ in when you start it up. So, tilt it to the side slightly before starting and you’ll be ok. It doesn’ t cut right up to the edge of the lawn either. Go off and you’ll scalp your lawn. Another little tip, mow in straight lines not side to side or it won’t pick up your clippings. The pickup for the grass box is at the rear of the mower so only picks up what’s been mowed in front of it. Other than that it hovers nicely which makes it easy to move around.
I am happy with this mower it’s lightweight but quite sturdy. I put all 3 spacers in and it gives a nice cut. I had my previous mower 8 years and I’m hoping for the same with this model.
It was light and easy to use, and a big plus it had a grass collected. In other words it is a great product.
Good product but I still find it hard to manoeuvre on certain gradie
This power cam basically ready to go at the box just take off the wrapping a few clips and if you want to add a spacer to the blade which I did the only thing is make sure you’ve got the blade the right way round which it tells you on the blade this side to the grass then when you using it just keep Fan clean underneath the grass box so it Hovers better and another thing is down over tighten the cable tidy Hooks on the handle or you will crack it but apart from that it’s a great mowe
Product is ok seems a little more flimsy than previous one, cable is also shorter than expected but mangable. Does the job and folds down small for storage
It has been a while since I had a hover mower. As the area of grass is only 46m2 manoeuvring was essential.
This flymo does tick most boxes though there can be a build up of over mulch grass causing clocks in the cutting area and grass.
The clear window for the waste box is possibly pointless as the moisture of the cuts grass does smear the clear plastic and makes it hard to tell if full enough.
Overall, does what it says but you do need to fo another pass to ensure all grass cu
We needed something lightweight and quick to run over our lawn. This does the job with ease and finesse
Better price than other stockist. Does the job perfectly. I highly recommend this mower.
Light and clear collection bucket makes it easy to see when it needs emptied.
Arrived quickly. Very easy to set up. Light and easy to handle. Did a great job on my lawn.
Found it poor quality, blows grass all over the lawn, only small amount goes into the grass box, handle on glass box useless,it cannot take weight of grass in box,and pulls apart from box.
It is fit for purpose and that is all you need
TO MESSEY , GRASS EVERY CUTTINGS ALL OVER . CHEAP PLASTIC OVER PRICED.
This was very easy to build a very easy to use And does a really good job of cutting the lawn and making it nice and tidy.
I wish to lead was a bit longe
The Flymo Easiglide Plus 330V is really better comparing it to our Flymo Hover Vac 270. We only have a small and flat lawn less than 20sqm so we opted to get the small one last year but it made the task slower to finish because the cutting width is shorter and I had to stop to empty the box 2-3 times or even 4 depending on when the grass was too overgrown. Very easy to put together and operate. Although a little bigger and heavier, it still has the same maneuverability— very easy just like using a hover in the carpet but job is done faster because of the wider 33cm cutting width and a bigger 20Liter capacity grass box with a handy transparent lid so you don’t have to open it to check if it’s full and needs emptying. Very quick and easy to empty too. My lawn is not lush at the moment and very patchy because of the work done at the back of the house recently so I still cannot see how many times I will need to have to empty this but I am sure it will be significantly less as it’s bigger. Still the same 10m cable which is enough for our garden. Can be folded and stored vertically to save space. I am happier with this.
Grumble #1 was not fully assembled, grumble #2 lead just too short needed to be another 2m longer, have to use an extension lead.Thumbs up for manoeuvrability and ease of use though.Ideal for small lawn.
Great product. Bit fidly if wanting to change grass cut height. Light to move when mowing
I prefer to carry my lawnmowers rather than wheel them. This mover is very light and makes it easy to be carried.
This Flymo is light weight and easy to use.
Was a good price and came early. I would recommend it.
The method of altering the depth of cut of this Easyglide model Flymo might seem laborious but it is a whole lot better than an earlier design which only required that a dial on the front of the mower be rotated either counter clockwise or clockwise to lower or raise the cut. Within no time at all grass would build up between the cutting platform and the body resulting in the inability to rotate the dial due to a stuck undercarriage mechanism.
The enclosed instructions suggest that the mower should not be used on a garden of more than 20 degrees elevation. However Flymo do claim that this mower can be of benefit to those who have a bumpy/uneven garden due to the mower’s ability to hover. This claim is 100% true judging by my trial of the mower early this morning. My garden has two problems: One, the garden slopes due the rise of the street. Two, it really seems to me that someone has dug earth out of the back garden and then deposited it in the front garden – and without worrying whether it looked level or not. Usually, mowing this garden with my ‘quick adjust’ Flymo, is a pain: literally. It is hard work; yes, it is true that this latest model is more powerful than my quick adjust type one – but the real award goes to this new model being able to hover and therefore easily be pushed ‘vertically’ or swung horizontally’ in relation to the user.
The only operational negative that I find significant enough to mention is that this model is noisier than my current one. Well, it’s the type of sound that is different. Bear with my vocal abilities here but my existing Flymo makes a hum sound, this new model makes a brr.. sound. I know, I know, but please excuse me but I don’t get out that often, smile.
