I agonised over lawnmower reviews as most of them have negative comments to do with build quality, cutting quality or motor burnout issues
This lawnmower is sturdy and has quite a nice design, it’s easy to collapse and store.
The cable management is simple and effective.
Handles are great and height is adjustable.
The cut is decent and it’s easy to change heights with a lever. It’s not lightweight but can be moved around easy enough.
There is an indicator on the grass collector which lets you know when it needs emptied.
I’m delighted with my purchase for the money, it also has a roller and powerful motor giving you bang for your buck. 2 year warranty available on registration. Would recommend
Nice cut but.....
We only get a cut and a half out of the batteries which means we are charging after each cut. Charging un-flat batteries used to break them so I am slightly worried how long the batteries will last.

Great little mower cuts out 120×30 ft garden no problem on 1 charge
Uncomplicated mower.
Came within 48 hours, easy to assemble and used within half an hour, love the fact it has 5 grass heights as to apposed to normal 3. Gives required lawn stripes and folds for storage. Does exactly what it should at reasonable prices.

light, compact, easy to use, combs the sides, easy to clean underneath and easy to change the height using the lever on the side. Dont know what more I would want from a lawnmower? Good for small / medium size lawns but would get a 38cm if my garden was any bigger.

Does the job
Works perfectly. Cuts well. Collects the grass. Strong motor. Doesn’t get clogged when the grass is a bit longer.
The handle has two hinges and so does pack into the shed very easily, in a compact form

Good for a small garde
A little fiddly to put together but successfully achieved. It cut the grass in my moderate sized garden but I found it struggled with the longer grass. I had to adjust the height a couple of times but was pleased with the final cut. Fits in hut easily in upright position.

I have been using a hover mower for more than 20 years, but switching over to this non hover was the best decision.
It was really easy to put together, and folds up small to store away.
It has 3 hight adjustments and cuts the lawn with no effort at all.

Lightweight mower.
Nice mower and unlike my previous flymo hover mower this one doesn’t throw grass all over my paths. The only small negative point is that it could do with one more low cut adjustment. Other than that it works well for me.

Easy to move around, not too heavy for me, I couldn’t use our old petrol mower. (I’m 69yr old female) gives a nice cut. cuts our small front and rear lawns on one charge

It arrived really quickly and is just what I needed for a fairly large lawn. It was relatively easy to put guess It was relatively easy to put together it was just the grass box that had me fox initially box that had me foxed initially. It has four cutting heights and I have found that I need it on its lowest setting 1. Cuts well. Happy with the product so far!

The easy way to cut grass!
It’s great!! But it seems to have shot up in price. I love it…the battery charge lasts about half an hour. You can cut a lot of grass in half an hour!
Handy lightweight mowe
Exactly what I wanted. Easy to put together, fairly lightweight. Very easy to use and to change blade height. Like the fact can be pulled along ( like a shopping trolley) to the grass. Can fold handle for storing or stand upright with grass box on top. Really pleased with this purchase. Suitable for medium sized law

The service from both Amazon and flymo was excellent. They had a hold up with the batteries so they replaced the mower the next day and collected the faulty one. Brilliant!!!!
Good mower...Rubbish build instructions.
The instructions for assembly are useless. They assume that you are an octopus when connecting the two parts of the grass box! Also you need to be able to mind read!! Would be better if it was rewritten by an engineer who could explain the number of turns to put on a part to make the job easier.

I think this is a very good machine for around 100s.y. of lawn. Being so light, I can easily mow in the various places like under trees and bushes, and it cuts well on any grass which hasn’t been allowed to get too long or wet! This applies to most mowers anyway!
I would suggest that the roller isn’t that good, as it accumulates damp grass and mud between the actual roller and the enclosure, and seizes up quite quickly. I might even remove it completely, as I have no need for ‘lines’ on our lawn!
As I’ll never see sixty again, or seventy for that matter, I am very pleased to have a mower which is light, has a very efficient cutting action and is easy to store under the bench in the shed. I only need one charge for the twenty-five minutes I need to cut the various areas of lawn, and this mower is definitely up to the job!

I had a Flymo 32 before and after 7 years it gave up the ghost. And the 32 was always struggling in my lawn, I would have to do half width. The 34 seems to be more powerful and with a slightly bigger box, I found it a breeze to mow the lawn. Having said that, it is still very early spring and the grass length is still not at its most angry. I bought the 34 because it had a roller at the back but I doubt the roller is helping me with lines. I mow one line fwd and the next line pull back so probably that makes the lines and not the roller. So, in retrospect, I should have gone for the 36″ (or bigger) without a roller which was even more powerful and even cheaper.

Surprisingly a great little mower!
Can’t believe this little lawnmower could cut to this quality, but as you can see it has with enough battery power to do it again ( 2bars still showing on the battery power indicator)

Tidy mower. Does the job.
Goes together easy enough. Box could be a little fiddly if you try to rush it but take your time and it goes together fine.
Simple to adjust height, easy to move about and rolls reasonably so you’ll look like you know what you’re doing.

GOOD LAWNMOWER
It’s early days yet but having used this for three cuts we are happy with our purchase. We previously had a hover mower but this one gives a better cut.
Good result from small lightweight mowe
Purchased to cut a smallish lawn at front of my property. Does the job well. Light weight, easy to store on its end with the grass box clipped to the handles. Grass is well cut and a stripe left by the roller. Leaves a good finish Pleased with results
Don't expect it to last the summe
I was actually really happy with this product when I first got it, unfortunately that was short lived…Battery packed up, Amazon have been dreadful in time so customer support, endless promises to call back and yet nothing until I call them…again!!!
What’s worse is that you don’t appear to be able to purchase replacement batteries, which is a ridiculous concept, all cordless equipment manufacturers make a huge profit from aftermarket battery sales….but not in this instance!
Well done flymo, I’m going to bin this piece of junk and spend my money elsewhere!!

within the first month of use the rear wheel fell off. It is held on by a captive spring washer and pretend nut. Ihave tried toget replacement without success. I have some duct tape round the small shaft to hold the wheel On but it comes off every now and again. Never had this problem with next size down.

Brilliant - wish we bought it years ago
Our lawn includes quite a steep hill. For years we have used a heavy Mountfield Petrol mower because it was self-propelled, decided to switch to cordless, battery operated Flymo and could not be happier. So lightweight, doesn’t need self-propulsion, doesn’t dig into lawn even when wet. One full Charge (2 batteries) easily does both our large back lawn and smaller front lawn 3 to 4 times. Highly recommended.
Very lightweigh
I wanted this mower to cut narrow strips around my front garden flower beds. I have a large Stiga to do my large lawns. This is very light and manoeuvrable – ideal for what I wanted. Very pleased with it.

The unit delivered did not have a registration card or a manual. Only pictures on outside of box. Flymo website also does not offer a manual for this product. If you have successfully assembled one, please post a picture of how the “air deflector” fits into the bowl.

Purchased on a ‘deal day’ this has already proved a real time saver when actually mowing the lawn. I normally have to get out an extension cable. Not in the image is a grass topped wall. Not having to worry about the whereabouts of the cable and shifting it away from the mower regularly saved lots of time. No winding of the cable before or after. All good. However, the batteries take quite a while to charge up and it was not possible to do my elderly neighbour’s two lawns and mine on one charge. Somewhat disappointing. But, overall, glad I bought the cordless mower. Worth the extra money. As I get older, there is more likelihood of cutting a cable with the blade. No need to worry about that now. The finish is good. See the image and judge for yourself.
Easy to use and to store, but battery is not grea
Portability of the item is good, and it is lightweight and easy to use. Battery lasts about 30 min, but takes longer than expected to recharge (sometimes mine takes 8 hours). Also, you don’t find replacement batteries online. If you can, I would suggest a corded one, or another brand.
Got this at a reduced price of 160 on Prime Day. Some reviews say it’s fiddly to put together but I found it very straight forward and the instructions were easy to follow. I put it together in around 30 mins. I’ve only used it once but was very pleased with the quality and ease of use. Grass was rather damp (couldn’t wait to try it!) but it cut with ease on a high cut and left perfect stripes on the lawn. Battery lasts well too. More than enough charge for my medium sized lawn. I will update the review when I’ve used it a few more times.
UPDATE – June 2021
Still impressed. Quick and easy to use. Battery charges quickly. Grass has grown considerably during a 2-week holiday but the mower performed well. Gave it a high cut up and down the lawn and followed up with a medium cut side to side. I’m happy to recommend the mower.

Great product for my grandparents, nice and simple and lightweight. Easy to use and charge. Much safer and easier than a petrol or cabled mower!

The mower is light and easy to manoeuvre, it cuts really well and the great thing I like is that it cut side on very close to walls or my wooden raised flower beds. For the price, it’s an absolute bargain!

34 cm cut more than adequate and at11kg, light and easy to use compared to my old unit. The facility to fold it up and save space when storing in the shed is a masterstroke and well worth the extra cost over other models. Leave graet stripe and the ability to cut up to hard edges is an excellent feature of the mower. Thoroughly recommended.

For a less mobile person I would suggest the usual gardener, if slightly infirm have assistance to get the cutting height set for regular use as it involves turning the mower upside down and manually and fairly forcefully prising the setting into place. If only flymo just made their cheapest to most expensive with a lever or other mechanism to move the cutting heights. Otherwise a good all rounder for my 2 small lawns of 20′ x 15′ and 15′ x 10′. Goes well over small raised areas and cut is great.

We bought a Flymo EasiStore 380R.
It cuts our grass well. Good grass box, lightweight and easy to remove when it needs emptying, easy to replace to continue grass cutting. Ours came with a 2-year guarantee which required registration on the web. Easy to move the handle between positions for mowing and storage. Stores securely on the (fairly) level and (fairly) even concrete floor of our garage. The upright storage means it takes up much less room than our old lawn mower.
The power cord is as long as that of our previous lawn mower.
The height adjustment is easy enough when you get used to it .
We’re glad we bought this lawn mower.
Easy to store cuts well
Once assembled this is very easy to fold for storage. It stands neatly in the corner of the shed. A minor gripe is the grass box is supposed to clip to the handle for upright storage but tends to fall off.
Otherwise a well made mower with simple height adjustment that cuts well.

Nice small powerful Cordless Rotary Lawn Mower. I use this on several lawns so its easy to move in the car. Its powerful and the batteries last very well. I use it for about an hour between charges and there seems to be plenty of charge left.

Love how it folds up, and love how easy it is to adjust the height of the blade.
I bought this to use at my parents house, they have 3 awkward shaped lawns on different levels, so a corded mower was not an option. Having used a petrol mower for 15 years, I was sceptical how good this would be but am pleased to report it works very well and has plenty of power. These lawns take about 40 minutes after which time it’s still going fine but the battery indicator is down to 1 light from 3, so the 1 hour run time is probably about right. Recharging takes about 2 hours and the batteries hold their charge until I next use it a week later. Build quality is ok, consistent with the price tag, should last years in a private garden but not long in commercial use. Grass collection is first rate and the box is big enough for my needs, I empty it twice in 40 mins mowing time. If I could improve one thing it would be to lower the cut height another 5mm so I didn’t have to cut the lawns so often.
I bought this to use at my parents house, they have 3 awkward shaped lawns on different levels, so a corded mower was not an option. Having used a petrol mower for 15 years, I was sceptical how good this would be but am pleased to report it works very well and has plenty of power. These lawns take about 40 minutes after which time it’s still going fine but the battery indicator is down to 1 light from 3, so the 1 hour run time is probably about right. Recharging takes about 2 hours and the batteries hold their charge until I next use it a week later. Build quality is ok, consistent with the price tag, should last years in a private garden but not long in commercial use. Grass collection is first rate and the box is big enough for my needs, I empty it twice in 40 mins mowing time. If I could improve one thing it would be to lower the cut height another 5mm so I didn’t have to cut the lawns so often.
Ideal for small house/law
We recently downsized to a house with a much smaller lawn ((<100m2) and limited storage so this was the ideal solution. Takes up very little space and seems to cut just fine - plenty of height adjustment. Battery life is more than adequate for the intended size of lawn.
Cable to short.
This is a good quality mower and easy to store if space is limited. My only complaint was the cable is far shorter than my previous mower and I had to extend it by 5 mts to be able to reach the edges of my lawn. However this problem applies to most mowers on the market not just Flymo.

Little fiddly to set up but Cuts superbly
Was a little bit of a faff to set up and the collector feels very flimsy. In use, however it is easy to remove and re add. Cuts lawn beautifully, easy to use. the dual triggers really help. After using a hover mower, this one wipes the floor with it. Leaves a really nice stripe and easy to adjust the height.
Way better than a flymo
I will never use a flymo again after using this mower, bought this one after the flymo died and can’t believe how much better, seriously better, the grass now looks

Great for the price
Nice mower, feels a little cheaper than expected being a well known brand but the flimsy feeling plastic may be advantageous when bumping into things as it flexes quite well where a thicker plastic may crack.
Height adjustment is easy, I found #2 to be best as any lower tends to bog down and catch uneven ground, when storing upright it’s best to move the height adjustment to its lowest to have a better center of gravity and reduce risk of tipping over.
The roller is a nice feature which adds noticeable striping and helps on slopes next to beds.

From the first cut I was impressed, until the height setting lever reset itself to the lowest level at the slightest undulation in the lawn! This was frustrating but seemed to be caused by a rather tentative locking system which really needed to be designed to be more positive in its engagement. Problem solved with the aid of a bungey strap to beef up the grip of the lock engagement. This should not have been needed with a brand new product!!
I have purchased the Flymo Easistore 340r after 1 week of research.
I have a small garden (up to 100sqm) and this mower does the job. The waste box filled up after mowing about 15m, but I must say the grass in my garden was quite tall, I have left it 3 weeks after it’s been laid.
Easy to assemble, easy to mow, easy to clean, easy to store, and quite lightweight as well.
The electric cord is long enough for a 10m garden and the Mower itself is good for a garden up to 100 sqm or 320 sqft.
Also important, it’s very good looking!
The mower came almost fully assembled – just had to put the handle and grassbox together then attach the handle to the machine. All fairly easy, with the exception of the grassbox. While not really difficult, it is a bit fiddly as the two halves (which simply clip together) are quite flexible until assembled, and you have to get all the clips and lugs lined up correctly before you simply clip it together. Took me a couple of goes to get it right, but once assembled it’s quite sturdy.
In use, it is light and easy to handle. I like the either-handed power switch/levers as I can take either hand off the controls to manipulate the cable as I go. The grassbox holds a good amount of clippings and attaches quite securely and easily to the mower. It even has a handy little indicator built-in to show when it is getting full. As mowers go, it is also reasonably quiet (probably as there are no gears etc to generate mechanical noise – the blade is simply bolted onto the motor spindle).
There is a 5-position cutting height adjuster, comprising a single lever which raises/lowers all four wheels by an equal amount. I have seen other reviews saying this won’t stay in any of the higher positions and slips back into position 1 (the lowest) in use. I have had no such issues at all – possibly the mechanism is slightly different on some of the other models (mine is a 34cm corded machine).
Cutting results are fine – there is a roller between the rear wheels which does a passable job of creating “stripes” as you mow if that’s your preference. The mower is easy to clean after use – just a quick brush over underneath to remove any accumulated clippings.
All the above mark it in my book as a good mower, but it has another trick up its sleeve – when you have finished mowing the handles are quickly unlatched, laid flat and then relatched. The whole mower can then be simply stood on end (there is even a stowage hook on the grassbox) so it takes up a very small amount of floorspace in your shed or garage.
Negatives? It would be nice to have a slightly longer mains cable. I haven’t measured it but it’s only just long enough to reach to the far end of our not-very-big lawn. Flymo also claim in their bumf that it can easily be wheeled around in the stowed “small footprint” configuration – in my experience this is only partially true – you can indeed wheel it around but the grassbox will fall off its clever stowage hook if you do.
Overall I fully recommend this mower (34cm corded model) for anyone with small-ish lawns.
Garden must have
I’m new to all this cordlees equipment, but I’m so glad that I got this product. Its so easy to use and move due to the wheels No wires or petrol to have to think about. If you have a big garden or you have let you grass grow too much, you might need to do your garden in 2 stages while you wait for the battery to charge/ or like me I got some spare batteries.

bought as replacement for my 15 year old black and decker mower, which gave up the ghost last week. Bought my mum and dad a Flymo a couple of months ago so decided to get the same. nice and light , it packs up for storing , which is a bit fiddly so I don’t think I’ll be using that feature but good if space is an issue. Good price great delivery no problems
Great Mowe
The product works well and is easy to empty and clean after miwing the lawn. The height adjustment on the blade is useful because this accounts for the stsrt of the growing season.

This so far has been the best Lawnmower we have had . Cordless. lightweight and easy to use .batteries last 2 cuts may be more . Different cutting heights. Strongly Recommended.

This is a great mower. So ideal for me. The other half brought it for me. From taking it out the box it was up & going within minutes. Really easy to use,comfy, not very wide so took a while longer to do the lawn but I don’t mind as it so easy & comfy to use. Very pleased

Good compact lawnmower and good batterylife
Really like this lawnmower. It’s compact and batterylife is good. Need to empty a little more frequently, but not much of a problem if you have a smaller lawn. Like the height adjustment setting too. Battery charger is cleverly designed, you can charge both batteries at the same time.
Lovely cut compared to my old flymo
Nice cut and we were surprised at how better the grass looked using this. It’s a lot louder than our old flymo but really picks up the grass and loose bits easily. The best feature is the handle on top for lifting as this is not a light lawnmower and we need to carry a bit of a distance. The cord is much shorter that my old one which could be a problem for some people. Very pleased with product and purchase, hope it lasts another 20 years as did our old flymo!
small and powerful
I bought this mower to replace one ive had for about 15yrs – was a bit shocked to see it was quite small compared to my old flymo.
However its a great mower and does the job better than the old one. Nice and light weight too very happy with it.

Had to replace a 50 year old Qualcast cylinder electric Panther, very reluctant to change to a rotary mower but at the age of 87 did not see the sense in spending 500/600 on a cylinder machine, chose the Flymo having read the reviews of about 10 machines,was nearly put off the Flymo by the reviews saying how difficult it was to assemble, I found the fitting straight forward if you follow the supplied instructions, a piece of advice have a jar of vaseline handy and use it on all screws and in particular on all plastic lugs when pushing two parts together especially assembling the grass box. Have only cut lawn twice so far and result satisfactory obviously not as good as the Panther, but reasonable and for the price very good.
I nearly went for the slightly more expensive one but decided on this one in the end. So glad I did, it stores really well and has saved me a massive amount of space in the shed. really easy to use and the cut on the garden was great.
If you have limited space to store a mower, this is the one you want. Even if you have the space, its still really good.

Love the small size of this mower. Easy to manoeuvre and store. Batteries charged in no time. Really great mower for my small garden and narrow strips of lawn Only thing that brings my rating down is the assembly. It was a little tricky in parts and the diagram instructions could have been clearer.
