Great garden hose - works really welll
Easy to install and works very well – A sturdy bit of kit with solid german engineering.
Very neat and practical solution.
This is the best solution for your garden hose to be neatly stowed and ready to use. The reel seems very sturdy so far.
My criticism: the “mouth” where the hose extends/retract is open. By that I mean there’s no dust cover protecting the inside on the reel. This makes it exposed to the elements. In my case, I had a wasp trying to nest on the inside of it. Overtime I think debris might build up on the inside causing it to seize up the reel. A simple “hairbrush” cover on the mouth of the reel could fix this issue.
Also, the hose connecting point on the outside of the reel (right in the middle of it) if connected at an angle from the tap, puts stress on the hose connecting point, which I’ve noticed it started to bend. I have fixed that putting a 15cm spring over the hose at the connection to avoid bending and secured it with a plastic fastener. Again. A small oversight that could be reinforced from factory.
Despite these small shortfalls, it is still a great and sturdy tool to help keeping your garden area very neat.

Easy to mount and much more sturdy than the hozelock 40m hose. The hozelock one only gives you short screws, which reviews show that it can be prone to coming off the wall, but this Gardena hose comes with decent length screws.
Nice looking product, easy to use and comes with everything you need to get it started.

Well made and easy to install
It took me around ten minutes to install the hosepipe using the included accessories – simply screw the metal spike into the ground and then attach the unit to the top. The reel unit is easily removed for storage over the winter or when not in use if required. The water is fed through the reel from a standard hose connector.
In use the ratchet is smooth and easy to use. You can unreel as much hose as you need then when you are finished it will pull the hose back with just a gentle tug on the end.
It is a little bit pricey, but should last for many many years so in my opinion represents good value for money.

We have a wall mounted hose in a plastic housing that’s about ten years old but until now I’d not come across anything like this Gardena hose which is intended to be fixed into the ground – whether in earth or the edge of a lawn – by means of a spike rather like a bigger version of the kind of system used to install a rotary washing airer.
The product arrives in Gardena packaging and would make a fabulous gift for keen gardeners. Gardena is typically a little more expensive than other brands but this is a well known German gardening brand with a deservedly high reputation for quality which since 2007 has been a subsidiary of Husqvarna, an equally reputable Swedish brand.
This hose box is easy to install and exudes the kind of quality you’d expect from Gardena. It’s well thought out and though I had reservations about the installation fixture, the metal ground spike mechanism worked well.
There is a 1.5m connecting hose between the outdoor tap and the body of the hose. Not enough? – No reason why you couldn’t substitute a longer connecting piece of your own. The hose, incidentally, is 11mm in diameter.
This hose feels sturdy. It’s easy to move and swivels perfectly in a 360 degree circle. The hose extends smoothly and easily and with the patented RollControl technology here there’s no tangles. When you stop pulling out the hose, the built-in locking device automatically engages at the length you want it. A slight pull upwards and the hose is automatically rolled up.
This Gardena hose has UV and frost protection which for me, as the owner of a wall mounted competitor brand of hose is great as my hose has become very much discoloured and the hose end piece has suffered in winter frosts.
My current hose, by contrast to this, takes effort to pull out – and to reel in too by means of a manual winding mechanism on the wall mounted housing. This Gardena version takes away all the effort and increases the ease of watering plants.
The hose box is compact and looks smart yet unobtrusive in its grey tones – perfectly blending in with the garden unlike some hose boxes which can stand out and mar the overall vista. The hose box has even been adjusted to the height of Gardena mowing robots – if you’re lucky enough to have one – so they’ll mow the lawn around it without any problems.
This Gardena hose box is truly innovate technology. It comes with a sprayer with two different spray patterns – and a long 5 year warranty. A really excellent product, you could of course place more than one hose box within a larger sized garden. Once you try that swivel feature, you’ll find it hard to go back to a regular design of hose.

This is really very sturdy. I couldn’t be happier with this item!, tidies up everything, easy enough to install and once in place absolutely superb. I love the way it keeps everything tidy and retracts very easily back after use.
A real god send for keeping things tucked away and also for winter protection.

Well… the answers to these, plus perhaps, one or two, extra, questions, we might accidentally stumble across, during the course of my meandering, and often erratic, review, we should clear the lawn , put on some suitable hosing music (Any suggestions for “hosing” songs would be appreciated… ), and pop on our gardening gloves , as we take a closer look… …
It arrives in a large shiny, professional, retail ready box.
It makes an excellent first impression.
Out of the box, and the contents are easily catalogued:

Very nice indeed.
All the ingredients (Yup… I am going for ingredients…) needed to get you up and running, straight out of the box.
It is a complete, and comprehensive set, and that is always a pleasant surprise.
The hose has a few remarkable features.
So let’s have a wee look at some of those, and make some remarks.
The case measures : 54 x 23.5 x 43.7 centimetres
It weighs in at : 6.4 Kilograms
The large case, that protects, and stores the hose, is made from thick hard plastic.
This allows the hose to stay out in the garden all year round, as it is frost proof, rainproof, snow proof, and very strong, sturdy, and very strong.
The hose system can be rolled up automatically, safely and reliably because of the centrifugal brake and integrated hose guide.
It rewinds steadily without twisting or kinking.
It is a far cry from the old garden hose we used to play with as kids, which was full of kinks, and had to be unkinked every time we needed to use it.
Mainly to soak an unsuspecting passer-by, or parent.
I would not recommend doing that now.
My parents are in their 80’s and would definitely not appreciate that now, if they ever did.
The case can be swivelled 180 degrees, giving you flexibility, and making sure the hose will not kink, or get stuck at a corner.
The case can be wall mounted, and is designed specially to do so.
Nozzles, spray guns and scrubbing brushes can be stored on the wall bracket where they will be ready and at hand.
The build quality is excellent.
This hose is basically the Rolls-Royce of hoses.

Once installed the hose is a joy to use.

I did quite a lot of research regarding the best self retractable garden hose and this came up trumps. Do not regret it at all. Easy to assemble, everything you need is in the box and ready to go within 5-10 minutes. Good quality materials as well.

The hose reel itself is easy enough to unroll but has a firm rewind that ensures the hose is fully retracted after every use. This GARDENA hose is much better build quality that the previous brands I’ve used. The connections are secure and watertight for a start. It just feels robust and that it really is up to the job.
The hose pulls out from its wall mounted case with ease, and retracts back just as easily. The case was simple to attach to the wall.
You generally get what you pay for in life, and this hose shows that if you’re happy to pay more you do indeed get a better hose.

Compares very well with competitio
This has replaced my ageing Hozelock auto reel. It was easy to mount and didn’t take long. Best to use a spirit level otherwise you’ll find it either swings away from the wall or into the wall if the bracket isn’t level. The mechanism works a treat and the hose pipe is very good quality. This is a premium quality item, hence the price reflects this. Although expensive, I could never be without one of these auto return hosepipes now. Once you’ve owned one you won’t go back.
I’m happy with this and no reservations to recommend it.

Brilliant garden hose
This Gardena wall mounted garden hose is sturdy and built to last, as can be expected from a well known gardening brand like Gardena.
It comes with good quality and heavy duty fixings and is really easy to mount onto the wall, the bracket is mounted first then the hose reel added on after to help make it easier.
The locking mechanism works well and once released, the hose rolls back in smoothly at a good speed.
My previous hoselock one winds back in really fast which can damage the handle as it smacks off the wall when its being rolled in.
Only downside is the spray handle that comes with it is quite basic, i swapped this out for a multi purpose one which gives more options for spray patte

This is a revolution in garden watering! No more tugging and battling to unwind the hose reel and then fighting with the hose to get it put away again. The smart looking unit is fixed securely to the wall and the hose just glides in and out effortlessly. My leaky old hozelock reels have gone to the tip!

Although this is not that cheap in my opinion it is definitely worth it! It is easy to assemble, has a great build quality and does the job perfectly with effortless retraction.
An added benefit was how tidy the garden looks without having reals of hoses all stretched out over the garden.
I would view this as a bit of a luxury, but I would never go back and therefore can recommend it as a worthy purchase consideration!

Superior hose
This is definitely a superior hose system! it will do what all normal hoses wont! The wall box can swivel which heps with stopping the hose getting stuck on the box or other obstacles and it will stop so wont pull it back in unless you want. The hose easily pulls out when you want and is super easy to retract back in when you want. The hose is a reasonable length at 15m about 47 foot and can get heavy when fully out. It is very good quality, comes with the bracket and is easy to install and use. I appreciate it is costly but is worth it as it uses all the latest technology to make the job of watering your garden easier, the old wind up hoses can be hard work and are always getting stuck. this hose system takes away all that extra frustrating work and smoothly winds the hose back each time. Both myself and my partner are very impressed with this item, obviously we would like it cheaper but we can see why they are charging this amount. A pricey but efficient garden accessory that just makes life a little easier!
Keine lose hängenden Schläuche meh
Die Schlauchbox wurde schnell geliefert, befand sich in der Originalverpackung und war erkennbar im Original ohne Benutzungsspuren. Bezglich des Gewichts ist davon auszugehen, dass die Box stabil ist und sehr viele Jahre ihre Dienste tut. So sollte es von Gardena auch zu erwarten sein.
Vor ca. 6 Monaten haben mein Freund und ich bereits eine Box mit 30m Schlauch per Wandmontage montiert, so dass wir schon Erfahrung hatten und die Montage ruck-zuck fertig war. Der Anschluss erfolgte an einer Grundwasserpumpe, die zustzlich auch ein unterirdisches Bewsserungssystem zeitgesteuert versorgt.
Die neue Schlauchbox wurde in Nhe des Hauseinganges montiert; angeschlossen an das Hausnetz, weil dort der Wasserdruck, in Verbindung mit der Schlauchlnge, strker ist.
Der Schlauch lsst sich wohl etwas schwer abrollen, dafr rollt er sich schnell und leicht wieder sauber auf.
Verglichen mit den bisher lose hngenden Schluchen ist dies auch eine optische Bereicherung” fr das Grundstck, dafr gibt’s von uns die uneingeschrnkte Empfehlung.
Tolle neue Optik
Haben seit 2 Jahren das Vorgngermodell in den typischen Gardena Farben, die aber leider nicht besonders schn sind. Haben nun das neue Modell gekauft, da es im Garten einfach viel besser aussieht und das alte Modell in die Waschkammer. Leider wurden die Bohrlcher fr die Befestigung verndert, passt nicht mehr auf das eigentliche Gestell (Selbstanfertigung)

First Class quality Hose and Reel
This a first class quality product. Fitted it in 15 mins, with 3 screws to put the main unit on the wall, and 2 small screws to finalise the position. It comes with all accessories to attach it to a tap. Really good fitting, no leakage. The hose unit swivels and all you need to do to get the hose back in is give it a tug. Very good versatile spray end for wattering plants and the garden. Excellent product.
Tried the cheap garden hoses and those failed miserably, either doesn’t reel properly or impossible to use, a complete waste of time and effort! This hose box is about 3 times more expensive, but well worth the money, installation and assembly is very easy, and it’s a pleasure to use, would highly recommend it!

This is a very high quality hose pipe system, with an excellent mounting system and a state of the art rollout / return mechanism.
When you first install it and roll it out, it’s easy to tell the exspertise and conscientiousness that’s gone into setting up the product. It’s a very prefessional mlooking piece of kit. Unwinding the hose was a tad more effort than I was expecting (because you are fighting the recoil of the spring), but nothing excessivly onerous. Rewind was a real pleasure.
As far as the actual hose element is concerned, it was a hose pipe that carried water – there isn’t a lot more than that to say about it!
If youre looking for a high qualty hose system that you can leave outddors, and you don’t mnd paying a little extra for a quality item, then this is for you.

Avec cet enrouleur plus de soucis pour le rangement du tuyau il est esthtique et remplit bien son rle. 4 en solidit car le systme de rotation se fait de plastique plastique donc voir dans le temps mais la matire est de bonne quali

I ordered this as i am a bit OCD over hosepipes lying not wound up and i am the worst culprit.
This was remarkably easy to fit to the wall – the instructions were clear and easy to follow – i did have a had fitting it and positioning it on the wall.
Once it was installed it is really easy to use and the retraction of the hose is really simple and easy to use..the hose itself is great string rubber and i cannot fault anything about the design or the product apart from the price which seemed quite expensive even for a top quality hose.

Great quality and easy to use - quite expensive though for a 15m versio
I ordered this as i am a bit OCD over hosepipes lying not wound up and i am the worst culprit.
This was remarkably easy to fit to the wall – the instructions were clear and easy to follow – i did have a had fitting it and positioning it on the wall.
Once it was installed it is really easy to use and the retraction of the hose is really simple and easy to use..the hose itself is great string rubber and i cannot fault anything about the design or the product apart from the price which seemed quite expensive even for a top quality hose.

Tried the cheap garden hoses and those failed miserably, either doesn’t reel properly or impossible to use, a complete waste of time and effort! This hose box is about 3 times more expensive, but well worth the money, installation and assembly is very easy, and it’s a pleasure to use, would highly recommend it!
OTTIMO Prodotto:
1) Montaggio semplice (in 10 minuti)
2) Materiali molto resistenti ed esteticamente belli. Fornito con 3 tipi di raccordi per l’aggancio al rubinetto dell’acqua
3) Ottimo sia il meccanismo di estrazione (volendo si ferma circa ogni 1/2 metro) e di riavvolgimento (basta un trazione piu` decisa per riavvolgerlo tutto in modo ordinato)
4) Con 35 Metri di tubo riesco a raggiungere tutto il giardino senza alcun problema
5) Funzionale anche la lancia finale che permette di regolare il getto o di chiuderlo
6) Comoda la possibilita` di ruotarlo di 180 gradi
Insomma… PERFETTO!
Fantastic wall mounted garden hose
This is a really substantial piece of kit. The wall mounted box is really sturdy and the hose runs seamlessly in and out. It has made watering my plants so much quicker than when I had to faff around with my standard hose. These are expensive but really well built and well worth the price.
inizialmente ho comprato un avvolgi tubo a manovella da 50 euro che durato da natale a santo Stefano, quindi mi sono deciso di investire qualcosa in pi e la mia scelta ricaduta su questo avvolgi tubo Gardena, gi da quando si apre il pacco si capisce immediatamente che si ha a che fare con un prodotto top di gamma, l’insieme dei materiali che va dalla scocca al tubo sono di alto livello, il meccanismo retrattile funziona a meraviglia e dimenticatevi intrecci strani o piegatura del tubo

As you can see it arrived in its own box and was well packed,
Having unpacked all the components I was quite impressed with the quality of the product
After reading the instructions it was very easy too install, all you have to do is drill 4 holes insert the rawlplugs and screw the holding bracket on the wall , then slip the hose box on and secure with the clamp and screws supplied connect to the tap and you are ready to go
The hosepipe pulls out with no effort and will stop and lock at the desired length do to you the locking mechanism, then with just a gentle pull it will release the lock and rewind and all this make watering your garden much easier.
I found this to be well worth the money
