Take Your Training to the Next LevelEdge 530 goes beyond data collection — providing dynamic performance insights that can help you beat your best. See how your body is holding up in different environments with heat and altitude acclimation (When paired with compatible sensors). Get in-ride notifications when it’s time to hydrate or eat. See if your most recent training was balanced in terms of endurance, threshold and high-intensity efforts. When paired with compatible sensors, Edge 530 now displays your power curve, comparing your ride effort to your previous weeks and months. No matter where you train, you can sync structured workouts from TrainingPeaks and our online fitness community, Garmin Connect, right to your Edge. You can also view your upcoming training for the week and launch into the relevant workout seamlessly when required. | Ride with ConfidenceWhether you’re training with riding buddies or commuting to work, your Edge 530 device takes safety seriously. It allows for group messaging and tracking, so you can stay in touch when you get separated from the pack (when paired to a compatible smartphone. See safety and tracking features requirements and limitations). It also has incident detection, which automatically sends your location to emergency contacts if it detects an incident. For even more awareness, pair Edge 530 with our Varia rearview radar and lights so you can see and be seen. And the new PIN-protected bike alarm will notify you on your smartphone if your bike is moved while you’re inside getting water or making a pit stop. | Navigate Every TurnEdge 530 is preloaded with the Garmin Cycle Map, including turn-by-turn directions and navigation alerts that notify you of upcoming turns. To help you ride like a local, popularity routing chooses from the roads and trails most traveled by fellow cyclists.
Will nicht alles nochmal schreiben, was hier schon steht. Daher nur meine wichtigsten Punkte.
Pro:
Unglaubliche Funktionsvielfalt.
Super Halterung dabei.
Hervorragende Konnektivitt (Komoot, Strava, trailforks usw.) Auch Sensoren (BT, WLan)
Luft ewig mit einer Ladung.
Frei anpassbare Sichten/verschiedene Fahrmodi (MTB, RR, Commute….)
Routendarstellung und Navigation super.
Laufend Updates und Verbesserungen.
Koppelung mit dem Radar ist einfach Klasse.
Cons:
I come from a Bryton, and this garmin has a lot of things, super complete. Although, i find the speed has some lag, nothing too serious
Bin rundum zufrieden.
Great screen, processor speed and features. Had to return mine though as bottom left button was sticking and barely useable.
Replacement is perfect though

It is great. After all these years of resisting the urge to fit one, This is a great choice. Solid battery life and great performance. There are some hints and tips to help improve the navigation (e.g. switch off suggested routes) and so on, but overall – I’m delighted.

Really good but if kit. Just slightly awkward pressing the buttons but wasn’t ever going to pay a load more for the touch versio
So many features on this, the battery lasts for ages. It has an automatic sleep mode, records all my rides with loads of data.
Sonst top Gert.
New to cycling & didnt want to spend a fortune. Easy to use & great piece of kit. I use ridewithgps to download rides. It’s not touch screen but those Garmin models were a little more expensive. It does the trick & is fine in the rain etc.

I had a 1000 series, my sweat would corrupt the screen no touch screen no problem
I am still trying to understand the device but it is great for the use! Also recently I found out that I can upload routes and it will tell me where to go like a navigatio
Does exactly what it should, easy navigation and easy to see data. I’ve used for multiple mtb, road and gravel rides. Accuracy is good
Not been using for long, but easy to set up and mount onto the bike. Can’t say much about battery life yet. Was a bit confusing on my first ride using it (lots of different arrows) but once you get used to it, all makes sense. Lots of untapped settings etc. that I’ve yet to delve into using more ye

Was a bit sceptical at first due to the mixed reviews, but I’m noticing a trend with anything I’m looking to buy, in the politically correct society of today people are ridiculously stupid wich only mean one thing, because they can’t set up something right and figure out how to use the said product they blame the product instead of accepting they haven’t got a clue in what they’re doing so this being said, the garmin 530 works absolutely perfect, battery lasts ages, it syncs constantly with my phone where I got the garmin app so I can check the routes I went on ect, show me all the statistics, its very accurate in terms of speed and distance as I run it back to back with a wired cateye velo 9 computer, so for whoever wants a bike gps that can save your routes and help you navigate on new ones and record all your data just go for it and if you know what you’re doing you’ll have no issues at all.

Make no mistake, this is a brilliant bit of kit, there is a little bit of a learning curve if you have never used one before, but it just gets easier to use with time. I have so far had no issues with it, the sensors for heart rate, speed and cadence connected easily. Adding gpx files is easy and the turn by turn instructions are very clear. There is more then enough data fields and the climb pro feature is very good.

Great for pre planned routes. My only bug bear is that the unit does not allow you to continue a route next day. Had to split the route up to per day. Worked fine then. Audible turn indication was spot on.

This is my third iteration of the Garmin Edge range. Clearly they have refined and improved the experience offered over the years. Unsurprisingly it gives all the usual features (speed, time, distance, etc). Additions such as power meter and heart rate monitor allow for additional metrics, all of which can be displayed on customised screens.
The features that are most useful for me are ClimbPro, which details climbs on routes (very helpful when you haven’t ridden them before), the mapping and the scores provided on training effect.
All in this is an excellent piece of equipment. The battery life is strong. I’ve never had it crash/freeze. Integration with Garmin Connect/Strava works well and the live track has proven useful (my brother now knows when to put coffee or dinner on because he can see how close I am to home).

Screen is good, buttons average, battery life perfect!
Better to follow created routes on phone, workout+course not always remember the workout after choosing course (bug), roundabouts is just a disaster, sometimes shows in one manoeuvre, sometimes splits, then lags, then you miss correct exit.. Sometime offers to go opposite direction in. Command may say exit 2,show 3 and direct to 4th exit!! Classic view is better in sunglasses as dark grey other road is very similar to magenta route line, zooming is crappy with buttons to compare with ex-810. Auto re-route is a…..woman – it will insist to return to point where you missed a turn no matter how many miles back that was.
For me, Garmin is still the gold standard for GPS devices. Easy to use and with bags of metrics. Buttons can be a bit fiddly and the custom mapping isn’t great but overall this is a great piece of kit.
Very pleased with my latest Garmin purchase.
Great features, accurate recording of data, easy to use.
Recommended.
Quindi mi affido alle sue parole e do 5 stelle
As all things Garmin absolutely fabulous piece of equipment, paired with Varia light making a great safety product.
Upgraded from the old 800 touchscreen, always loved it but the lack of connectivity to my phone was frustrating. With the Bluetooth on the 530 I can plan a route on my phone through the connect app and its instantly on the 530 ready to ride. Not stressed the battery life yet, done several 3 hr rides and haven’t recharged yet…

This is now my favourite bit of kit, use it on almost all my rides! The 530 doesn’t have a touchscreen but the buttons are easily are easily accessible even with gloves on! Very easy to set up and I haven’t charged it since it arrived and its still going strong. Definitely recommend
Ottimo davvero…molte funzioni

Does everything with ease. Connect application works well with smartphones. You can create courses on the fly or get other routes from Strava. Easy to use and navigation through the menus. I was not sure about the device not being touch screen capable but more than happy it’s not. The device is well made for the rigorours of cycling which my previous device was not.

I don’t see myself as a serious cyclist. I tend to go out for 5 mile rides with the kids or 20 miles solo, but having recently started pushing myself to the occasional 40 miler I found tracking and navigating my rides with my phone or Garmin watch wasn’t working for me any more for a variety of reasons including battery life and effectiveness during rain.
So I spent forever going back and forth deciding whether to invest in a bike computer.
Now I have, I’m so glad I did.
Being used to using Strava to plot my rides, I continue to do this, then upload to my garmin once I’m ready to go. The navigation is easy to follow, the battery lasts well and rain doesn’t affect it! Hooray! (this was a serious downfall of using my phone, if caught out in a downpour on an unfamiliar route my phone had a tendency to become controlled by the raindrops I think and suddenly start closing and opening apps like a teenager who’s battery died for 10 minutes).
It comes with a simple mount, which I like. You can upgrade to a mountain biking one, but for my needs (including some slower mtb trails) the basic mount works fine.
After my ride, it automatically uploads to my garmin app and Strava.
Took it on a recent holiday to France. Maps worked fine, although it was quite comical the range of lanes marked as “unpaved road”… From grassy lanes to gravel paths to fully paved roads to rocky trails… Nothing my hybrid couldn’t handle, and I suppose anyone on a road bike would have taken more time to rule out such roads.
Overall, really chuffed with my purchase. Can’t go wrong with pay monthly over Amazon either, with no credit charge.
Two thumbs up from me.

Great menu system jumping from tasks to maps well riding.
Bought to replace my wahoo element bolt after 2 years use.
The garmin is superior in every way and to be honest I’m surprised most mainstream reviews usually insist there isn’t much between them.
The current most popular review on amazon that rants about this unit is completely unhinged. There should be some kind of penalty for reviews like that, sowing false information to consumers.

Ciclocomputer veramente ottimo e completo.
Small and compact little Nav system. YouTube is great for quick set up guides but nobody explained the start stop button at the bottom which took me a while :/ As a mountain biker it’s great that it connects to route planning apps like Komoot and can follow a breadcrumb trail off standard Garmin maps but why do Garmin accessories like the mtb specific mount cost so much!

Prodotti garmin sempre ottimi!
L’app invece scadente veramente poco professionale.
Very good aid in road cycling. Now am getting more interested in doing long rides than ever. I find this garmin edge user friendly and easy to use when connected to my phone.
This is really a great GPS cycle computer. Just what I wanted. A must for any cyclists. Easy to use and really easy to setup. Has all the functions I need beats using my phone now. Also at a reduced price a real no brainier. Thanks Garmin you made my rides fun again.
Lo schermo ben visibile in ogni condizione grazie all’autoilluminazione reattiva.
E’ ottimo, come tanti altri prodotti Garmin.
Ottimo rapporto qualit/prezzo.
Semplicemente perfetto!!! Fa tutto ci che importante e in modo semplice e pratico!!!
