Compact and lightweight yet offers excellent protection from wind and moisture. Purchased as a jacketfor running outside. Wore it for a 5 mile run in moderate wind and snow. Jacket performed well and kept melted snow from wetting my warm layer. Fit is smaller than what you’re used to as I typically wear a large but XL fit just right.
First off this is a really nice jacket. I was really confused over the sizing based on the reviews so I ordered a medium, large and extra large. So I get 2 jackets on day 1 and the 3rd on day 2. The medium has eu large us large. I’m going what? The large says eu xlarge and us large so based on the sizing the large large was actually a us medium and there was a difference in how it fit. The xlarge said eu xxl us xl. So I think I have it figured out. So order the size you want and don’t worry about the comments about European sizes. Hopefully Amazon will get it right. Still scratching my head on the large large. Once you find one that fits you will be happy. 5’6 165 male medium fits perfectly. 5’2 140 chesty female large fits in chest. The rest is a tad big but is workable

Hatte zuvor meistens PVC-Folien in Hemdform als Regenschutz – das war dann auf Dauer doch zu unangenehm. Mein erster Versuch eine atmungsaktive aber wasserdichte Jacke zu finden ist dann leider doch am Kompromiss gescheitert, den ich des Geldes wegen eingegangen bin – die Jacke war zwar atmungsaktiv aber einfach nicht richtig wasserdicht. Jetzt bin ich bei diesem zugegebenermaen nicht wirklich gnstigen Produkt von GORE gelandet. Wie so oft lohnt sich die Investition in gescheite Produkte. Diese Jacke ist perfekt: wasserdicht, atmungsaktiv, angenehm zu tragen und sehr leicht.
Wind- und wasserdicht, noch keine Erfahrung bei langen Regenfahrten. Bei greren Anstrengungen und starkem Schwitzen wird man innen nass. Lt sich ausreichend klein verpacken, zu gro fr die Trikottasche, Transport in der Lenkertasche oder Sattelsttzentasche.
Je recommande la marque c’est ma troisime vestes Cortex de se fabriquant.Et pratiquant assidu (15 h d’entranement/semaine) j’aime bien chang et assortir mes tenues. Et de surcrot j’aime bien en avoir pour mes denier.
Ich habe mir diese Jacke fr die khleren Jahreszeiten zugelegt. Bis jetzt bin ich bei 10 Grad damit zufrieden.
Bought for cycling and running so wanted a close fit. I am 6 foot (181cm) and a medium is a slim fit, perfect length for arms and body length. If you want some of a more relaxed fit go large for my size.
Used for the first time in the Scottish western islands. Kept out heavy rain was great to keep warm in the wind and very little persperation going up those big hills. I know it is not cheap but is well worth the money
Wenn ich sportlich den Berg hochfahre schwitze ich stark.
Durch die vollstndige Innengummierung in Verbindung mit Goretex
bleibt die Auenschicht vollig trocken.
Und dennoch kann ich bestens atmen. Auch frstele ich so bei Wind nicht.
Nach dem Sport trocknet die Jacke geruchsfrei ab.
Teuer – aber richtig gut.
Zudem ist die gelbe Signalfarbe ein dickes Sicherheitsplus.
Sehr zu empfehlen.
Very good quality jacket, but I would advise buying a size larger than you regularly get. Haven’t tried it in the rain yet, but I am impressed with the feel and fit. I would normally go for an XL (european size) jacket to give me room for a thicker top to wear under. However, I had to return the XL and buy a XXL(!) and still wouldn’t be able to fit anything warm under it. So it’s a summer jacket for showers over a T-Shirt type of top. Very impressed with how small it packs away. It’s about 16cm at it’s widest. And yes Milk is Great.

Die Jacke hlt was sie verspricht! Im Regen am Bodensee dauergetestet. Im Gegensatz zu meiner normalen” Regenjacke, blieb mein Mann auch von innen trocken, trotz der krperlichen Anstrengung. Gute Passform – sehr zu empfehlen!
Der Schnitt passt zu den Makrgen Angaben. Die Jacke ist robust und einfach zu reinigen.
Die Leuchtfarbe ist ebenfalls gut sichtbar.
They failed, as much as not being breathable as rain proof.
So I’ve invested, heres why.
Like many I hoped to get a jacket as cheap as possible and it work. They don’t.
I had training by Goretex when I worked for BMW, I should have known better, so here are some facts.
Many companies spend a lot of money trying to copy Goretex they have for years.
There is a reviewer who failed the jacket and was wearing a grey cotton top.
You cannot expect Goretex to work without other technical clothing, that wick sweat away, cotton retains moisture.
So Goretex is a material based on PTFE and the process of making it into a fabric for clothing is closely guarded and patented. It was discovered by accident.
Its full of holes, it has to be to breath. The holes are many hundreds times smaller than a water molecule, but many time bigger than a water vapour molecule.
It works on the principle of a temperature gradient, so your body is warm and sweating, the layers of clothing need to transmit this vapour to the outer layer, the vapour then escapes through the goretex.
If its raining, the water just cannot get through the goretex membrane. The membrane is not the outside of any jacket, its too flimsy, its within the garment layers.
If its cold and rainy goretex actually works better because there is a higher temperature gradient, so it will be more breathable.
If you do get moisture or damp within goretex, its more likely to be condensation, or your clothing is natural fibre and holding sweat.
This arrived scrunched up in a poly bag and there were no tags attached to the jacket (I would expect the usual Gore-tex tags etc). Maybe this was a return? Checked it over and it seems ok, but not worn whilst cycling yet.
Also arrived a day early, not usually a problem but it caused a problem for me as I had selected my place of work as the delivery address, knowing I would be there on the advised date for delivery.
4 stars for now but will update once I use it.
According to the size chart I should be a medium, 36″ chest, but this is what Gore call ‘Active fit’ which is looser fitting and they advise, on their website size chart, to get a size down if you want a more slim/tight fit if you fall between two sizes. That didn’t quite apply to me, being in the middle of the Medium size range, but it fits fine. I say fine, but I wouldn’t be able to wear much underneath, standard cycling jersey and shorts will be ok, exactly what I want this for.
For reference I’m also only 5ft 3in tall, 31″ waist, 35.5″ hips. The smaller size also means the arm length is better suited to me too.
Update 17/11/2021: I’ve now worn this a few times in light and heavy rain and can report that it performs as expected; it does not leak. I’ve worn it over a Boardman summer cycling jersey, a long sleeve Castelli Perfetto ROS jacket (tight fitting) and a DHB Classic Thermal softshell jacket (slightly looser fitting). As it gets colder, I’ll also be wearing a merino wool top underneath the two long sleeve jackets, and this will fit over comfortably.
There is a bit of sweat vapour built up, but nothing that I notice as wet when riding, and certainly not wet through any other clothing. I think it generally condenses the vapour in parts of the jacket, maybe at points where it’s not so close to my body (jacket beneath) and there is an air gap or maybe cause my me unzipping a bit for some cooling.
Upgraded to 5 stars now.
Laufjacke die gut sitzt und auch starkem Regen stand hlt.
So, so good. Best investment I’ve done in a long time. 6 foot tall, 97 kilos and XXL suits like a glove.
Very happy with this jacket – got caught out in multiple heavy showers today on its first use, and it kept me dry. Packs small to stuff into a cycling jersey. Medium was perfect for me (5ft 8, 38″ chest).
Nutze die Jacke sowohl beim MTB und Rennrad fahren, sehr gute Qualitt.
Bin damit schon in einen lngeren und ergiebigen Regenschauern gekommen, die Funktionskleidung unter der Jacke blieb trochen, Qualitt kostet dann ein wenig mehr.
This is a truly epic jacket. In winter and cool days it is ideal as a wind-proof top layer. On rainy days it is perfectly waterproof. It is highly breathable and I have not once suffered boil-in-the-bag even when climbing hard. A really excellent piece of kit.
La giacca sembra ottima, sono anni che compro delle giacch antipioggia da pochi euro.
Gore un altro livello, e si vede dalla consistenza del prodotto, non immaginate una di quelle giacche super comprimibile, questa sta a fatica nella tasca posteriore della maglia. piuttosto cara anche se in offerta, ora vediamo se sono soldi ben spesi aggiorner la mia recensione con l’ uso sopratutto nelle giornate di pioggia
Absolut wasser- und winddicht, und trotzdem schwitz man nicht wie irre. Sehr Leicht.
Warm ist sie natrlich nicht, dafr hat man ja was darunter an.
Wrde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I’m 5’8″ and am usually a medium in all clothes! I bought the XL version of this and it’s a perfect fit! Go figure. But size up…
Die Jacke bietet einen exzellenten Windschutz und hlt aus eigenem Empfinden bis ca 5 Grad warm (mit Thermoshirt). Sie ist ideal fr 1-3h fahren bei Temperaturen von 5-12 Grad.
Die Farbe ist sehr markant und man fllt definitiv auf – fr mich eine tolle Jacke, allerdings auch relativ teuer.
Great buy, worth the price- the sizing is generous- it is not a tight fit, so order one size lower if you have a slim/athletic build.
Super Qualitt, Wind – und Wasserdicht. Qualitt hat leider auch ihren Preis!
Winddicht und wasserdicht ist sie auch erstklassig. Bei Kurzstrecke und ca. 10 Grad (Okt. 2020) und Wind haben mir ein Unterhemd, ein Langarmshirt und ein dnner (!) Wollpulli vllig ausgereicht.
Auch der Halsabschluss ist sehr angenehm und schtzt sehr gut vor Wind und Wetter.
Und wer viel im Herbst mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs ist, ist mit dieser Farbe auf der sicheren Seite. Mir gibt diese Farbe ein gute Sicherheitsgefhl. All das ist mir der Preis wert.
