Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOk so I skimmed the description and saw people using it in the photos with a pole so assumed it came with one
Totally my fault. It is a good sturdy net, I’ve not bought the pole yet though!

    So the first one arrived next-day, but it was damaged. The net had separated from the frame and pieces of the frame were broken off. Sent it back, reordered, and got it next day. I have a 40×20 rectangular pool with some serious leaf matter on the bottom. Here are my comments;

    Pros
    * Frame is thick but lightweight
    * Frame is designed with an edge for gliding across the bottom of pool
    * Net does not impede water flow (flows through)
    * Lightweight, easy to maneuver (when empty)
    * Picks up leaves and detritus
    * Can scrape pool to get leaves off quite well
    * Nice blue colour, matches my pool. 🙂

    Cons
    * Tremendous stress on pole at net connection when leaf bag is full
    * Weakest link is the connector. Mine only came with one button-spring. A second one would have made it sturdy. One connector only, makes it weak. I had a second one from my old leaf bag; I extracted it and put it into the second hole on the net connector. This made an instantaneous improvement! It reinforced the rigidity of the connector greatly. I highly recommend that if you buy this, you do the same. There are 3D printable designs for button-springs on Thingiverse, or Amazon sells them.
    * If you fill the leaf bag (as per the marketing litterature) you won’t be able to lift it. My net was straining and I thought it was going to break; so I dropped it back into the pool and dumped some leaves.
    * Heavy-Duty is relative. It is much stronger and heavier duty than the cheaper, flimsy nets sold on Amazon, but it is not heavy duty for a real world application (full leaves, waste, etc…)

    Summary:
I feel this was worth the money and it hasn’t broken on me yet. I can only give it 4 stars though as it wasn’t as heavy duty as stated. Time will tell for wear and tear; I can’t foresee this lasting me more than 2 seasons before the net tears or comes off. Definitely reinforce this with a second button-spring.

Sturdy but Weak Where it Matters

This net is nice and big and designed perfectly to get leaves off the bottom of the pool

Our pool cover fell in this year and along with that, the fallen leaves as well. Our regular nets are good for skimming the surface water but not for the bottom of the pool. The durability and design of this pool skimmer made the job easy to get the leaves from the bottom of the pool. It was a good buy!
