Oh, I bought a mat too which was pricey but reduces impact on your feet and I could do the skipping in doors I thought I’d have to go outside.
After a week I’ve got the technique right and jumping fifty times which is about 25 seconds then resting 30 seconds then repeat for fifteen minutes.

Great but hurts when it whips your skin, but don’t they all.
his is a great rope, good weight and FAST! however, the problem with it is that it is very difficult to adjust. once you remove the plastic caps on the handles, you are supposed to push out the excess rope to cut it back to the right size. however, the plastic cylinders that hold the rope in place get stuck so you cannot push the rope out to cut it back. i ended up having to use needle nosed pliers to have to pull the rope out to cut it to size. needs to be better thought out.
The foam on the handle is just so unnecessary. I took it off and the hard plastic under is much more usable and more comfortable .
Also the handle should be maybe an inch longer. Again, I put my own DIY extension using a 25mm plastic pipe and its now a great kit.

Just got this skip rope for a week. It comes with lightweight metal cable core and wrapped with PVC cover. The handle is easy to grip, there is internal rotating rings to connect the role to the handles, aiming for extending the role lifespam and facilitating the fast rotating of the role.
2x pairs of rope holders/stopper are being used, 1 pair in each rope/handle end.
There are ann extra pair of holders/stoppers for future replacement.
The skip rope provides considerable length and expecting user to measure and cut to fit his/her unique body build.
The measure and cut is easy enough to perform for an adult.
As only have it for a week, not sure yet its durability, but it looks promised so far.
Over is a good-buy and recommended.
Good quality but just too long even my boyfriend who’s 6’4 finds it too long think you’d need to be about 7’4 for it to be the right length

This was fab, but you need to purchase proper wire cutters to trim to length… this does NOT cut with normal scissors. Other than that it’s great and I definitely recommend.

Been using this for a while and it’s a good skipping rope to use.
Used this for 3 months now. Once you get used to it with the right length, you will enjoy daily use of the rope. Do not cut it too short in the beginning. Give allowance for adjustments. The skipping rope generates a fairly good amount of momentum while skipping so that you do not have to swing your arms too much.
With there being loads of skipping ropes on the market its difficult to choose the right one for your needs. I found this product to be fit for purpose, length is easily adjustable and doesn’t tangle. A definite buy for anyone looking to start/add skipping to their routine.

It was easy to shorten and lovely to hold swings round nice and smoothly
I skip outside destroying ropes. This is by the most durable, cheapest and comfortable. It has decent speed not the fastest but I can still occasionally do triple unders and doubles are easy with it. The handles are good and mould around your hand nicely and the rope is pretty easy to adjust. 5/5 would recommend.
The rope is generally great, my only criticism is that the handles are slightly to chunky. Thinner handles would have made this produce 5 stars across the board.

Well Iv only had it a couple days so the durability rating was a chance lol! But it is a fantastic item, a little more weight than my plastic cheaper one, so I can do the double-unders easier! I bought this as my said plastic one tangled a lot doing side swings and cross overs, upsetting my rhythm all the time. This rope has solved that completely, makes me a much better skipper, I love it! Thanks

It was too long for me, so I had to cut it. No bad for someone that it is already trained but I don’t think it is for a beginner. I am a beginner and every time I missed the jump the cord made a bruise on my hands and arms…

Good rope for the price, handles look a bit cheap as the logo is literally a paper sticker wrapped around a cheap plastic handle. Does the job it’s meant to do though can’t complain.

The rope is extremely long, difficult to use of your under 5.5ft. good quality.
It arrived on time and is just as in the product description. And a good price, I think. The only thing to bear in mind is that you will need some good wire-cutters to adjust the length (I borrowed some from a neighbour), but this is a good sign in terms of durability. The ball bearings in the handle mean that the rope spins round easily and doesn’t catch.

I couldn’t use it after a few times as it’s so painful if you accidentally hit your legs or your feet. I knew it had steel in it but the pain is unbearable, I had bruises and stopped using it unfortunately
If you are a complete beginner, I would *not* recommend this rope because the ball bearings make it quite fast and the pvc-coated metal wire might hurt you. I would start with a quality 5mm pvc rope with no ball bearings (something like an EliteSRS).
However once you are comfortable jumping and want to add speed to your workout, this rope is absolutely amazing. The feel is fantastic, the length is easy to adjust, the foam handles can be pulled out if you’d rather skip with raw plastic handles… overall faultless.
I’ve been using the rope on concrete and it seems to be holding up very well. However it did take alot of effort to try and cut through the wire, in order to adjust the rope.
Comfortable grip handles and some nice weight to the rope itself which allows to skip at higher speeds than the cheap and flimsy ropes. However the ball bearings at the handles seem a little stiff, which cause the rope and the wire inside it to twist and eventually snap. I’ve had this rope for about a year and used it regularly at least twice a week and it snapped twice so far, but because it’s adjustable and has some spare length inside the handles, I could “fix” it by re-attaching it on one side and lenghtening it on the other to make up for the lost broken rope. I eventually applied some WD40 to make the bearings run smoother, so I’m hoping it will last longer before it breaks again.
I was very impressed with the quality of this product given its low cost. Perfect for keeping active when the gym is too far away, or time is sparse.
The adjustment is robust once set, though it takes a few minutes to set up. Therefore if you want to adjust between different sizes for different people, I wouldn’t recommend. The cable seems very strong and the adjustable mechanism holds well. Good weight, though hande feel is probably the one drawback.
Overall is a great rope, only thing for new buyers is good luck cutting it for adjustment it is real hard!
What a great item. A skipping rope made with such excellent engineering so is super fast and smooth. Easily adjustable. Extremely good value for money. The easiest form of cardio exercise. Really portable light and comfortable to hold. Great if you have to travel. Super light to put in a bag or suitcase. Plus it comes a with a lovely customer service letter so you telling you how much heart and soul they have committed to making it work and a direct email address if you have any problems which I haven’t. Couldn’t ask for more. Five stars!

UPDATE 04/01/22
As expected the outer sleeving has worn away where it contacts the bearing. This is exactly what happened last time. It hasn’t snapped yet but won’t be long, I do between 30 and 60 minutes (HIIT) skipping 3 to 4 times a week. I’d say they’d last about 9-12 months before breaking at this rate. They should really have a flexible metal sleeve at the exit of the handle to prevent this.
Very comfortable to use but then painfull when it goes wrong due to being a steel wire rope. Not complaining mind as they are really good, the only downside is the durability. The wire snapped after about 18 months use and when it goes it can be dangerous if others are nearby. The bearings had also started to wear a lot.
I’ve just ordered another pair so can’t be all that bad for the money.
This is now a good rope. However, mine had some VERY sharp wire sticking out from the plastic when it arrived. I caught my finger in it. I had to shorten it though and therefore was able to cut this part out as it was near the handle. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the rope now. Please just check your rope Carefully if you purchase one, as it was difficult to see the wire sticking out but could cause an accident. If the split had been in the middle, I would have had to send back.
This skipping rope is lightweight so it’s very easy to use.
Good rope does the job. Although one day I was just doing a set of skipping and the rope plot from the handle, very clean cut as well which I thought was odd. I had spare wire I hadn’t cut so it wasn’t a big deal. Overall good rope for any level of skipping
Overally good ropes however they are very long, I’d definitely say more the length for someone taller, I’m 5’6″ and they were too long for me unfortunately
It is a good quality jumping rope and it appears to be durable as well.
The instruction says to cut it to size however a tip for those interested is just to twist the rope inside the handle. It would be a pity if a friend of mine who is taller won’t be able to use.

Not overly keen on this rope. I’m used to using a thinner lighter one although I’m no expert or avid skipper. It’s impossible to cut the rope without plyers so that was a struggle. I don’t find the rope moves easily as I’d expect and the rope sometimes twists around giving me an unexpected short rope and sting on the arm. Plastic around the wire feels very thick (so if it hits you it really does sting) but has held up well so far. Decent price for what you get though.
It was just like the plastic skipping roles we had in school , it’s perfect , worked very nicely and the handles make it easy and comfortable to hold , a great buy.

I’m not sure about durability as I’ve only had it for a week and I’ve decided to only use it inside on a mat as I’ve read in other reviews that the rope won’t last long when used outside on hard and rough surfaces.
It could also be cheaper as I’ve bought another similar rope for 1 less and turns out they’re from the same company and the cheaper one actually feels like better quality (handles are slightly weightier) but the rope is the same.
Good quality product, they sit nicely in your hand and turn well. I am 6′ tall and they were just about right for my height, but there are instructions explaining how to adjust for shorter heights. They look as if they will last.
As someone who hasn’t skipped in over 10 years I wanted a pair that had high reviews for easy use and my god are these them. Adjustable to my height (5ft6) but are super long so will do alot taller than me. The grips are a soft but durable sponge and the ball bearings offer easy use and little friction on the wrists (I have arthritis). These are a 10 out of 10 for me. I managed 100 in my first go which might not seem like alot but for me that’s a feat in itself.
Really enjoyed the jump rope. Had lasted me just shy of 2 years. I had used this with a mat underneath so this probably helped the longevity of the jump rope, but I got really good use from it, usually 2x a week sometimes more. Last month on two occasions the rope started to severe at the junction of one of the handles. I enquired with Gritin (who offered a lifetime warranty at the time of purchase) and they refunded me, the full cost.
Overall, very happy with the product and service, and will buy again. Recommend anyone needing a jump rope beginner to advanced!

It is really easy to use and the bearings in the actual skipping rope itself are really high quality, makes it a lot easier for the rope to rotate. Also it is a good length I am 5’11 and it is the perfect height for me. It is packaged well inside a bag and is really easy to get out. It took a while to straighten though however, it is still a very good product!

This is very long! Very suitable for very tall people. I’m 6ft tall and it is too long for me and I haven’t figured out how to adjust the length yet, but the quality is good and it’s light weight.. Once I figure out how to shorten it, I’m sure it will be as good as expected
