Works really well. Haven’t had any issues other than the batteries that came in the remotes were dead upon arrival. So, that was an additional 10 bucks and was frustrating because my 3 yo couldn’t play with it until the day after Christmas. If you are buying it as a gift I recommend getting extra batteries just in case. Also, the middle of the arena board bumps up a bit so the bots get stuck occasionally. I think this will go away with time. Overall it works well and my son loves it.
I got this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it! We are having so much fun with it, I am considering buying more robots for the area. It is fairly simple to set up and use and the remote controls are easy to use. My daughter is 5 and manages the remotes just fine.
So I’m just not getting a minute to write a review, my son loves battle bots, so what better way to make him happy for his birthday to buy one of these, so we did. His birthday morning he was so happy, we opened it up put it together the joy on his face was priceless. Now, the bad part is one of the remotes/bots never worked. He was tickled with the one but we was devastated due to we paid out that much money, now our son tore through the box we already put it together, hearing us even mentioning sending it back he started crying. So that was out but, I guess I’d tell parents to check it out before letting the kids see.

Grandchild loves it. But they forgot to pack the other remote. Apparently the company has forgotten to pack it for three years.
While the stickers have started to peel, this thing is surprisingly sturdy and fun. Remotes work great and its a fun game.

My son loves this set. I helped him assemble it and the quality is great. The hammer things in the corner don’t really do any ‘damage’. But my son excitedly bashed them and found it funny to hit my robot!
This is great easy to make and is just like robot wars my little boy loves it. Uses it with spider wars too, well made item.
Christmas morning and our two sons, ages 8 and 13, have been playing with the battle boys arena ( and 2 other bots that we also purchased) for hours now. This is the only gift they are interested in. Lots of fun. No problems with setup and function of remotes.
Terrific child’s toy but batteries included in the remote were flat so could not play with on Christmas Day. Disappointing.

I bought this for my son’s tenth birthday a couple weeks ago. It is a lot of fun. The bots seem well made. My husband and I even play it after the kids go to school.

BattleBots function best in confined space, we love using it. Has manual hammers that can be used to help win. The side inserts keep the parts from flying too far away.
Ordered for nephew for his birthday & he loves it. Arrived in time and good quality, easy to assemble.

Okay so my kid likes it a lot, I had to modify mine a bit as the IR sensor on WichDoctor was skewed which made the body stay on no matter how many times it was hit (just bent it straight and rounded a sharp edge. hence the removal of 1 sta

the only thing we could see that was wrong with it is somebody took it out and put it back in the Box the board was bent up because it was placed back in the Box wrong.. that was an easy fix not a big problem.. robots work everything works… everything That was supposed to be there was ….

I bought this for my grandson who just turned 7. He loved it and even bought 2 more vehicles out of his birthday money.
For big kids and small, really fun to play with.
Although I had to return our original item due to a missing controller, this is a great play set and hours of fun can be had with it. It’s a shame that there is limited supplies via Amazon of the other robots that can be purchased. Yes the controllers are on the small side and a little tricky, but the fun more than makes up for this little fact. Yes, it’s a little pricy, but worth it if you can buy it via a sale price, and yes, it can appear flimsy in places but if you can buy it for the 50 mark this in my opinion is a great buy.

Kiddo loves it. Easy to put together. Took a minute to figure out how to set up remotes. Make sure they both aren’t in the area when turning them on.
Absolutely fantastic!! My father and I who have been Robot Combat obsessed since I was 2 (I’m turning 22 next week lol) have just spent about 2/3 hours fighting these in a makeshift arena! Also purchased the Beta and Minotaur models from Hexbug’s website for added fun. Only wish with these would be for more models to become available! (Battlebots or Robot Wars). Once again – truly fantastic!

Grandkids love it. The arena is a little flimsy and works best if glued to a stiff corrugated board or thin wood base. Bots haven’t broken after several weeks of use.

Loved by all the boys in the family – including my husband. Lots of battles have taken place and it works very well. So easy to put all the magnetic pieces back on when they get knocked off. Lots of battles have been had.

Bought this for our 8 year old at Christmas. Spent hours playing it with him as it’s so much fun! My only gripe is with the arena which is folded down the middle and creates a lump through the centre of the arena floor. The battlebots occasionally get stuck on the fold line. Otherwise this is a great toy for kids of all ages
If I could give this toy another star, I would! Being a fan of the Battle Bots show on the Science Channel, my grandson and I absolutely loved playing with this! Some who have never seen the tv show would not know that they are SUPPOSE to break apart! Watch the show…become a fan. I only wish I had videos of my grandson’s excitement when he got this from under the tree!!!
Bought for Christmas and it is a big hit! Great quality and provides tons of fun for my 5 year old son and I to battle each other!
My 8 year old great grandson loved this game and it was easy enough for us older folks to play with him. We felt it caused more interaction between players than video games. He is already asking for more bots.

There is one downside – manufacturers please note:- there is only one set of robots available for this, whether in this set or bought separately. You can not buy different robots to battle, and that’s a big failing. We don’t want to battle Hexbugs! Please introduce more battle robots into your range!

Anthem; Consumer Advocate This is a lot of fun and really works well so far. Pretty expensive for what it is, however, it is a trendy toy. Know that some of the BattleBots tend to have a distinct advantage over others when fighting. Have to kind of take turns with the bots to be fair.
One word, Awsome! Really impressed,, took a gamble,, stole the show on Christmas morning!
My son and husband like it. Got it in November as a Christmas gift, opened Christmas day and one of the hammers was broken off. Still works, I disappointed though for how much I paid for it. Doesn’t seem to bother my son or husband
The hit of the day. It was for our grandson and he and his brother played with it all Christmas day. They LOVED it. It was easy to put together and seems sturdy. Time will tell.

Battlebots has been a good Christmas present to keep my 10 and 8 year olds amused. They are fans of Robot Wars on TV so have very much enjoyed playing with this toy. Would have got 5 stars if the 2 battlebots included with the Arena were more equally matched. The Witch Doctor is harder to strike the armour off to win the battle, Tombstone looses it’s amour pretty easily, so generally won’t win. We’re looking forward to being able to buy more robots when they become available.
The bits do fly quite a distance so you do spend a fair while searching. Anyhow it’s a great little game and my 9 and 12 year old boys love it.
The toy exceeded our expectations. It does a good job of replicating the real battle bots in a toy format.
Great fun although we did find that we needed to get a fresh set of batteries for one of the controllers as the ones that came with it were flat after about 10mins.
This is a present that will no doubt be thoroughly enjoyed!

Didn’t realise when ordering that these would be big battle bots I expected the tiny hex bug size when these are much better around 5 inches. Kids were very impressed and love playing with this!

Grandson (10 years old) Was over the moon for this birthday gift. I also remembered to order extra batteries, which made me the bestest Grandma!
I’m a huge Battlebots fan so when I saw there was a miniature “battle box” just like on TV I had to buy it! It’s the coolest thing ever. You get with it your very own remote-control powered witch doctor and tombstone. The name of the game is to battle it out and send the other robots detachable armor flying! You can even try to defeat your opponent with the pulverizers-just like on the show! Word of advice, buy some extra button cell batteries in bulk so you don’t run out of juice 🙂

For what it is, my son and i have a lot of fun with it! The quality of the board or arena could have been better but for the money it was a good buy and made my son happy!
The robots are quick, agile, and challenging to drive (due to their speed). They are designed to have a few “breakaway pieces”. Witch Doctor has 2 pieces that snap off its plow as well as the top cover. Tombstone’s top cover and two rear panels come off as battle damage.
They each feature a spinning attack weapon – which are not very strong but fun to control. The remote allows you to turn the spinning weapons on and off via a button on the controller. The robots are controlled with similar controls as a RC car. front/back direction and right/left. Nothing pressed = no motion.
I bought this for my son’s 7th birthday. We watched the TV show and he loves this toy. We spend time battling it out. We switch robots to ensure a balanced play. We came up with the rule that once the top cover flies off, the robot is KO’ed. Tombstone’s top cover tends to be a little easier to knock out. Overall, this is a great rendition of the functionality of the stars of the show and the arena. Great playability. This is a really enjoyable fun toy. Great design.
Saw this on the Today show and ordered it. Never heard of it before that day I saw it on tv. My grandkids loved it. Great buy!
My 13 year old lovessel this. It was challenging to assemble, but once we got past that and play time was on, it is a fun item which works great.
