This is great easy to make and is just like robot wars my little boy loves it. Uses it with spider wars too, well made item.
Christmas morning and our two sons, ages 8 and 13, have been playing with the battle boys arena ( and 2 other bots that we also purchased) for hours now. This is the only gift they are interested in. Lots of fun. No problems with setup and function of remotes.

Terrific child’s toy but batteries included in the remote were flat so could not play with on Christmas Day. Disappointing.

They are so much fun with both of them having their strengths and weaknesses. I do worry about the motors getting damaged due to them being powered but unable to move, especially the motor for Tombstones spinner. For example during play Tombstone will get pinned against the wall, and the spinner will be unable to spin. The idea is great and I would recommend the toy to anyone.

Great play set for hours of fu
Although I had to return our original item due to a missing controller, this is a great play set and hours of fun can be had with it. It’s a shame that there is limited supplies via Amazon of the other robots that can be purchased. Yes the controllers are on the small side and a little tricky, but the fun more than makes up for this little fact. Yes, it’s a little pricy, but worth it if you can buy it via a sale price, and yes, it can appear flimsy in places but if you can buy it for the 50 mark this in my opinion is a great buy.

This was one of the best Christmas presents this year. Don’t buy individual robots. Buy this and you have the arena contained and a space for them to play in. The track didn’t fit perfectly in the spaces provided when connecting the frame to the floor, but I’d still buy again.

So much fun!!
Absolutely fantastic!! My father and I who have been Robot Combat obsessed since I was 2 (I’m turning 22 next week lol) have just spent about 2/3 hours fighting these in a makeshift arena! Also purchased the Beta and Minotaur models from Hexbug’s website for added fun. Only wish with these would be for more models to become available! (Battlebots or Robot Wars). Once again – truly fantastic!

Me and my 9yr old son have had hours of fun with this battle arena, it’s similar to the show including two hexbots and controllers. The controllers need to be synced to their bots one at a time however as they can both be linked to one hexbot. We are waiting for more hexbugs to be released to increase the fun.
Grandkids love it. The arena is a little flimsy and works best if glued to a stiff corrugated board or thin wood base. Bots haven't broken after several weeks of use.

Gave this to my 9-year-old Robot Wars-fan for Xmas and she loves it. I’m impressed at how sturdy the robots are. I thought it was expensive for what it was, but she seems to have enjoyed it a lot.

Massive hit with adults and children, only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is the card arena floor has bevelled up in the middle. This makes the robots stop in the middle because the wheels dont touch the floor. Gets annoying!!!

Bought this for our 8 year old at Christmas. Spent hours playing it with him as it’s so much fun! My only gripe is with the arena which is folded down the middle and creates a lump through the centre of the arena floor. The battlebots occasionally get stuck on the fold line. Otherwise this is a great toy for kids of all ages

Either way him and his friends played for quite a while on these things. You have to keep on them to not louse the little parts that fly off. each one I think has 3 parts that will come off them.

Anthem; Consumer Advocate This is a lot of fun and really works well so far. Pretty expensive for what it is, however, it is a trendy toy. Know that some of the BattleBots tend to have a distinct advantage over others when fighting. Have to kind of take turns with the bots to be fair.

Battlebots has been a good Christmas present to keep my 10 and 8 year olds amused. They are fans of Robot Wars on TV so have very much enjoyed playing with this toy. Would have got 5 stars if the 2 battlebots included with the Arena were more equally matched. The Witch Doctor is harder to strike the armour off to win the battle, Tombstone looses it’s amour pretty easily, so generally won’t win. We’re looking forward to being able to buy more robots when they become available.
The kids have played with this all day. Once you figure out how to pair the controllers with the correct bots it’s straight into battle. We figure that the winner of each round is the one that knocks off all of the other bots armour.
The bits do fly quite a distance so you do spend a fair while searching. Anyhow it’s a great little game and my 9 and 12 year old boys love it.

My son just got it tonight and he LOVES it BUT the game board has a huge lip in the middle so the robots can’t cross on their own….that’s
my only complaint and hoping we can get a new one.
Battle sized bots!
Didn’t realise when ordering that these would be big battle bots I expected the tiny hex bug size when these are much better around 5 inches. Kids were very impressed and love playing with this!

Bought this for my 11 year old son. He loves it! The pieces can fly out of the arena. Also, the directions on the box aren’t very specific about syncing the bots/controllers. Make sure to have the remotes on different channels and it works best to take them in separate rooms so both bots don’t get synced to one controller. Luckily for us, the customer service department is very responsive and sent us a new controller for free.

You get with it your very own remote-control powered witch doctor and tombstone. The name of the game is to battle it out and send the other robots detachable armor flying! You can even try to defeat your opponent with the pulverizers-just like on the show! Word of advice, buy some extra button cell batteries in bulk so you don't run out of juice :)

I almost didn’t buy this because of the mixed reviews. I’m so glad I did though! It seems to be well made, bots comes apart as it should during battle… the arena is a lot better quality than I was expecting! I wouldn’t buy this for a younger kid (5ish) but my 11 & 12 year olds LOVE IT!! I recommend this 100% idk if other reviews were too young or just had a fluke bad set but mine is perfect!!
So far so good. Lots of fun! Really scaled down version of battle bots. Great family fun! Only qualm is it takes a watch type battery. Now they have lasted at least 5 days so far. But we all know how these are a pain to deal with.
I have the original arena with the air pressure bots but this is as close as you get without actually making your own bot and putting it into a battlebots arena. The controls take a lot of practice but I love being able to knock pieces off which my bot’s weapon. I’m ready to buy more bots and have a battle royal. The two hammers were mandatory and work very well. Unlike the original arena, there are no buzz saws in the floor which would’ve made for an interesting hazard during battles but other than that, no complaints. Great detail, easy and fun to build.
I got this for my kids for christmas. Both bots still work! My only reasons for not giving 5 stars is the bottom of the arena does not lay completely flat where it is bent in the box. Because of this, the bots snag on the center sometimes. Also, a match only lasts like 10sec before one (or both) bots have all their pieces knocked off.

I really didn’t expect this thing to be as fun as it is. This toy is really well designed. The arena is a great reproduction of the real thing. Sure it’s plastic and cardboard – but it’s a nice solid quality. The bulletproof windows are a nice and useful touch (pieces do go flying).
The robots are quick, agile, and challenging to drive (due to their speed). They are designed to have a few “breakaway pieces”. Witch Doctor has 2 pieces that snap off its plow as well as the top cover. Tombstone’s top cover and two rear panels come off as battle damage.
They each feature a spinning attack weapon – which are not very strong but fun to control. The remote allows you to turn the spinning weapons on and off via a button on the controller. The robots are controlled with similar controls as a RC car. front/back direction and right/left. Nothing pressed = no motion.
I bought this for my son’s 7th birthday. We watched the TV show and he loves this toy. We spend time battling it out. We switch robots to ensure a balanced play. We came up with the rule that once the top cover flies off, the robot is KO’ed. Tombstone’s top cover tends to be a little easier to knock out. Overall, this is a great rendition of the functionality of the stars of the show and the arena. Great playability. This is a really enjoyable fun toy. Great design.
For Battlebots fans, this is a fun game. Has some gliches, but most are fixable. My 10 year old wanted this for the holidays. I think he might actually be a bit old for this toy. A Bot is destroyed when you knock off three removable pieces – not much to the strategy for debilitating a bot. Perhaps a bit more age appropriate for 7-8 year olds.
Grandsons got it for Christmas and they loved it. Here it is 2 weeks later and not sure how long the batteries lasted from Christmas day. Some other reviewers were iffy on this so I took a chance with it. We love the tv show and the boys seemed to love it 6 and 7 1/2.
