Shame about screws
I bought this to match the style and finish of a desk I gout, also from HOMCOM.
Sadly and unlike the desk the screws heads and fixings are all cleary visible.
The desk came with stick on pads so checked and rechecked the box etc to see if the bookcase had the same.
SHAME it didn’t have them otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.

Easy to put together. Certainly strong enough for my purpose – a handful of books on each shelf and additional bits of objet d’art; I’m not convinced that it would be a great idea to fill shelves with books end to end, but they should handle it if the wall fixings are properly done to prevent toppling forwards away from wall.
The shelf finish is fine, without chips or peeling.
Depending on where you’re thinking of putting this, I would consider cutting out skirting board slots at the back so the unit fits flush against the wall. As per normal on carpet, units and furniture against the wall could do with wedges or pads under the front edge to level up the carpet gripper thickness (if you’re fussy like me!)

Great product. I ordered 2 and placed them side by side. Finish is good either way so I could use them as mirror image.
Once I understood the instructions it was really easy to put together (I’m a construction newby). I’ve put books at the bottom for balance and ornaments higher and am delighted.
Compared to similar products the price seems very good
Great value and easy to put up.
Came really quick, only takes about 25mins to put up, really sturdy against the wall and holds books, bric a brack and other bits well. Great value for money and looks good in the room.

We had to work around 2 wall switches.. these staggered shelves allowed us to do that without compromising the balance on the wall as an ordinary bookshelf would have done… Nice to have something a little unusual

This is a lovely item of furniture for the home, I have mine on the half landing going up my stairs with my books and dvd’s on and it looks fabulous.

Love love love my bookshelf! Looks great, lots of room and really fits nicely in my living room.
Only issue I had was putting it together. Done it with my 9 year old daughter and I really worked up a sweat. The instructions are pretty rubbish, but after 2 shelves you pick up the pattern.

I am extremely pleased with this shelf unit. Firstly it is much taller than i expected from looking at the pictures-around 6′ 3″ tall. We found it simple enough to build, but it is helpful to have two pairs if hands for holding parts while assembling. Looks very smart and more expensive than it is..and is also very stable! The only very small minor point is that it would have been nice to have been provided with something to cover the cam locks on the inside….however after a few days i have stopped noticing them so cant be that bad! I would highly recommend this product- i am considering buying another!
