Good air purifie
I bought two or these. One two year ago and one recently for a new room. They’re good value for the price. I must say that after two years the first setting is not as quiet as it used to be. But as an air purifier I can tell it’s making a different as my allergy is reduced drastically when it’s on.

A good basic filte
Good for dust and things. Quiet, etc. Shuts itself off after like 12 hours – but OK.
I took couple of weeks to use the purifier before writing the review. I have cats and didn’t want to live my life on allergy tablets so gave this product a try. I have been able to breathe again after I first switched the purifier on! For over a week now, I haven’t taken an allergy tablet – some sneezing is still there and it does depend on how long I have the purifier on, but my allergy is totally manageable now. It’s been such a relief! The purifier definitely helps for the cats and also for any odours – the air in our flat has been really clean. It’s a bit too noisy to have it working during the night but it’s been enough to switch it on in the bedroom couple of hours before bed and to have it on in the living room during the day. I was a bit pessimistic in the beginning but now would definitely recommend the product (would only not recommend it if you need to sleep whilst it’s on).

Easy to use
Had the product now for 3 months. The filters need cleaning about once a month at most I’d say. There is a warning on the machine to tell you when to clean it. I found it was great to clean the air during pollen season. It also provides a nice breeze even on the lowest setting.

I bought this for my son and daughter in law during the very hot weather when they were suffering very badly with hayfever and having difficulty sleeping. They reported later to me that the unit had made a really significant difference and they were extremely pleased with it. No details re other features.

Dose have to be left on for quite a while for full affec
Use this to help with my sleeping, as I do suffer from dust. It has to be left on for most of the day to get full affect and move it around the bedroom, but I have found it useful. For myself it is a little too load to be able to sleep with it on, but it is not very loud even at the high setting.

Fresh feel
I like this, it feels like there is a lot of power behind it. It cools the room and makes It feel more fresh. For me (an asthma sufferer) I feel that it does help to have this on in the bedroom a few hours before bedtime. However I can’t sleep with it on as it is a bit loud.

Also I’m not sure this model is a ‘true’ HEPA filter meaning it doesn’t remove smells as effectively as others might. If you have severe allergies and need that level of filtering then beware. Haven’t had Homedics Hepa long but I notice a great difference in the air. I have asthma and alergies and got it because I have birds. Really great product. Great price and it’s very quiet on setting 1. It’s fine on all setting. Not too noisey. Would recommend it and the seller.

When working the output air has a smell. The body is plastic and seems somewhat overpriced. I wonder how long it will last.

Purchased this air purifier after purchasing a smaller one that had great reviews, but this is far superior in every way, and for the extra 15 it was well worth the extra money. Quieter than the smaller one I purchased and does not keep me awake during the night.

seems to do the business. best to put on after dusting surfaces to ensure unit will pull all dust from the air. it ain’t gonna suction the dust from your surfaces and bed sheets, but no unit will do this sadly.

These are really good – I have breathing difficulties in November & December and (although my hairy dog sleeps in the same room) I put the bigger one of these near my bed & had the first good nights sleep I’ve had in months – 10 out of 10 – I now run one all night in the sitting room & one all day in the bedroom – hint – go for the bigger ones as they only need to run on a slower speed and hence the fan noise is quiete

This is a good quiet purifier. It cools the air too and so is great in hot weather. We used it daily during building work and it seemed to cut down on wheezing among members of the family.

I have been able to sleep in my bedroom for the first time in months without having to take an antihistamine and it has been great.
Product has lost 1 star because of the noise.. I sleep with earplugs anyway so the low setting isn’t a problem, but medium and high are louder than I can sleep with.

This is the business! Seen these used in the asthma care ward during a stay in hospital and bought one straight away. Makes a huge difference to air quality in your home. We’ve had one of these for 2 years running nearly continuously. It is still going strong and have got a new one for downstairs. Amazing value, reliable, easy to maintain and improved my sons asthma and household dustmite allergies too.

It works wonderfully, but I find it a bit too noisy so I always have to turn it off at night, and during the day every once in a while to have some silence because it gets a bit annoying.

Product design looks very nice to be honest, on a lowest fan speed it’s pretty quiet, the only reason i gave 4 star and returned this item is because i found out that HEPA Filter + Coil (Carbon) Filter does a much better price, so if Homedics will add a coil filter to this model as an update will be really grea
I suffer with asthma and also have cat allergies, this has reduced my dosage of antihistamine to almost nothing and also I don’t use my inhaler as much, I only turn the purifier every couple of days for a couple of hours to filter the air in that particular room and then I’ll move it to another room, very pleased with my purchase

cracking for the price, stick some active carbon in there to make even bette
cracking little air filter, made even better if you stick some active carbon next to the filter. You’ll smell/taste the difference in minutes in a small room.
Great dust extractor. Been using for some time now – when it comes to cleaning the filter it’s very evident this product works. If left on during the day, the room it’s in feels clean to walk into.
I am able to sleep with it on setting 1. Setting 2 is reasonably loud and setting 3 isn’t pleasant if you are in the room. However it isn’t to noisy if you are in another room – so you can leave it on high (3) during the day time and turn it down at night, if you are using in bedroom.

I suffer from emphysema , I manage this mostly with a inhaler ,
however when I am in the lounge during the evening I do struggle to breathe easily .
Since I purchased the HoMedics air purifier my breathing almost turns back to normal ,
within 5 mins of turning it on .
I can not endorse this product highly enough , a full 5 star , It works wonders .

Seems to be working well. Just took one star off because struggle as I may I have not been able to open the front so had to use it without checking filter. I don’t know what I will do when the filter needs replacing. I am elderly, little strength in hands. If anyone has a simple way to open it please post your method. Thanks.
So far so good, but slightly misleading.
So far so good, I do notice a difference in air quality and in my allergies. My one gripe so far is that it’s called HEPA Professional Air Purifier, The instructions say it’s not for professional use. A minor gripe I know but it’s misleading if you’re buying it for business reasons.
My partner suffers badly from hay fever we put this in our bedroom and turn it on late afternoon until we get up in the morning and at last we are getting a good nights sleep. Its so good that weve buoght one for the lounge now we can watch tv together without the constant sneezing and running eyes..

Brought this as my girlfriend has cystic fibrosis and the flat we live in has damp issues, this has helped her while she sleeps and really makes a difference to the quality of air in our bed room, easy to clean compact and ideal for anyone with breathing difficulties

For a small bedroom it seems to do the job if it is run continuously. It’s too loud for me at night when I am sleeping, but so are all of the efficient units.

I leave it on 1 all day, and it hasn’t made much of a difference to my electricity bill either. O.k. on no. 3 it isn’t noisy, but you can obviously hear it, but it’s swings and roundabouts for me. I can hardly hear it on no. 1 anyway. If you want total silence, put up with the muggy air. Or, open and window, which I do every night in the bedroom.

I'm over the moon with this!
I’m over the moon with this. The tower unit is solid and well made. The controls are easy to understand and easy to use with the great addition of the remote control so I can operate it from across the room or even in bed. I have full confidence in its ability to do what it says it does and it’s a great addition to my home.

This works really well. Saw the difference the first night that it was used, I took out the filter for the first time after a few months, and it was covered in dust. I hoovered it and got the dust off, put it back in, and it’s working perfectly again. I definitely recommend this. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Log burners are renowned for creating dust and this has significantly reduced the amount. We use this on minimum speed as high speed is a little bit noisy, but on minimum it’s very had to detect is on.
We have had the item for approx. three months and it’s great, we have just placed it behind a chair near the fire so it’s not visible in the room.
As for the filter, we have not looked at yet, will look when it’s six months old to see if it needs cleaning.
I would definitely recommend this air purifier, you won’t be disappointed.

Used this for approx. 8 months now, where I used to suffer really bad asthma attacks in my holiday caravan (brought on by an allergy to dogs and mould spores) I now only have either very mild symptoms or none at all. Cant recommend it highly enough, saved me an awful amount of pain and misery

Breathe easy.
Bought two. We have cats and parrots in our home and the fur and dander was becoming a problem. These HEPA devices are amazing and have made such a difference to our living areas. We’ve also noticed a reduction in the effects of pollen on our hay fever sufferers.

stopped me sneezing
I bought this as I was waking up sneezing (from allergies) every night. Now I sleep right through. I turn it on high, which is a bit noisy, about an hour or 2 before I go to bed. Then I turn it down to number one for the night, which has a quiet purring sort of sound, and have a lovely nights sleep 🙂

We have a bad dust problem due to the environment. The HoMedic air filter really does clean the air well and you can tell there are far less particles in the air when breathing. I was sceptical at how well these would work but was pleasantly surprised.
Seemed. To clear the room of cat hairs – well nobdy started sneezing uncontrollably which is usually the case with 2 of my visitors. It is a bit noisy on full plast so I just had it on lower for longer.
Excellent! We have five cats and yet we can entertain a friend who has a severe cat allergy! We turn it on an hour before he arrives and the improvement is stunning. When we just had two cats (and no Purifier) he suffered badly at our house but now he is really much more comfortable. I recommend this tower wholeheartedly.

Quality made product that really improves the air quality. The item has a very nice soft touch blue illuminated press on/off button with three fan speed settings. The top speed is slightly noisier on the account of a much faster fan speed, yet this refreshes the air much quicker and leaves the room clearer of odors smell and dust particles. Would recommend this item.
Absolutely brilliant just what I wanted I am a smoker when I went out I could always smell smoke on my return but since I have been using this product my house smells so fresh when I come home this has to be a good thing for me and my cats.

Plugged in straight away after a next day delivery! Great service and great product. This has cleared the air in our living room making it fresher and less dusty (we have an open fire most nights). Quite noisy to live with on full power and oscillation but quiet on low setting and set at static. Would recommend for fuss free and maintenance free use.

Bought this to clear the air in our bedroom especially during some building work we were having done. The item is quiet on level 1 but can be noisy at level 3. After a few weeks the filter has caught a surprisingly large amount of dirt which was easily cleared with the vacuum cleaner. The unit also has an auto shut off timer which I believe is 8 hours. All in all a good product and well worth buying
3 Nights of no sneezing and lots of sleep which I am eternally grateful for. So far have seen a noticeable different in my allergies (I am allergic to everything known to man it appears) Setting 1 is fine for noise but medium to high can be a bit loud if watching TV etc. It is a nice design and does not look imposing or ugly in a room. Would definitely recommend to fellow excessive sneezes
Would highly recommend this Air Purifier – has made a discernible difference to the air quality. There are two sizes available (I bought both for different rooms) and the smaller one is ideal for small / average sized rooms, whilst the larger has greater efficiency for those larger rooms and the added convenience of a remote control for the less mobile.

Cleared up my hay fever symptoms immediately. Put this in my home office where I work. Instead of coughing all day long which was really irritating on the phone to customers, I was able to work all day without symptoms.
When I left the house or went downstairs where the windows were open the symptoms came back as I was exposed to pollen again but for me this was a better solution than anti histamines which made my feel drowsy at work.
Not sure if it works.
Sometimes my fridge stinks so I bought this product. It seems to be functional, but I can’t determine whether it’s absorbing the smell or it’s just blowing them away. Maybe after the first cleaning I will see if it’s really working great.
Great but price reduced day after ordering
My husband was sceptical about this product, but I was determined to get it as I have loads of allergies and constant itching. He has changed his mind. I put this on for a few hours every night before going to bed and we both have a fantastic sleep. No more itching. The only slight niggle I have is that the price was reduced the day after I had ordered it but I was still charged the higher price.
What a nice design which blends in to my living room or bedroom. I bought this specially due to my kids and my daughter already told me that she likes to be on in living room and she is not complaining of block nose like before. Effective for sure. I prefer this than the smaller device that you can buy online.

Good product only small reservation about filters ( non washable ) Dual purpose …not only air purifier but also as air-conditioner. Nice design of the product, need not to be hidden in the dark corner of the room. Endorse strongly to anyone.
Bought for my son who has mild Asthma, and suffers terribly from hayfever and dust allergens. He has had many sleepless nights and great difficulty breathing. Since buying the air purifier, it has been a ‘lifesaver’. He can breath and sleep well again. It was made an incredible difference to his life. Wish we had thought of one ages ago! The Tower isn’t very quiet but no more noise than a normal fan. It works best on full power and door shut. Would highly recommend it.
