PRO TIP FOR INSTALL!!! 43″ off the ground is PERFECT For both sit and stand adjustability. I’m 6′ and my wife is 5’4″ and we mounted identical setups @ 43″ and we are able to have desk lowered to 31″ for sitting and 40+ for standing. The mount says 32″ monitor max but we got these Acer Nitro 34 curved on there. Given the angle of our desk we can keep them all flush YMMV.
They look nice and support two monitors as advertised. However the 2 bolt holes at the top of the plate are left and right of center and the lower bolt hole is centered on the plate, so you can not actually mount it level on a wall stud and have to compensate for it in the height and alignment of your monitors. Other than that it’s does the job well.
This armature gets the monitors off the rolling desk and enabled me to install them on the wall next to the closet. I now have the computer, both printers, and speakers in the closet and out of sight.
It’s hard to visualize/understand how things are going to look once the monitors are up and in various positions (depending on their size), but I could have easily bought larger montitors ( got 2 Septre E24 monitors), and they would fit side by side pushed back towards the wall.
I mean I got what I paid for. It wasn’t the most expensive mount. The gas arms work well, while the adjustments are a little finicky. My biggest gripes are the monitor mounting hardware didn’t come with the proper dice spacers, and the physical mounting of the monitor to the arm. When you mount the monitor to the arm it’s very loose and sloppy with a single set screw on top that you can tighten all you like, but doesn’t make the system any more rigid.
I needed a convenient work from home space but didn’t want a desk cluttered with cables and monitors. This monitor mount was the ideal solution for keeping my desk space clear and allowing me to work in several configurations.
I definitely recommend mounting to a stud if you are able. I strongly discourage anyone from using drywall screws with this product. You would be far better off using toggle bolts if you can’t mount to a stud.
My only complaint with this product is there doesn’t appear to be a way to adjust the horizontal shift of the monitor position leaving a gap between my screens.
To push the monitors together I have to bring them to where they sit too far forward where it’s a little too close for comfort—although it’s a plus if you slouch while working because if forces you to sit back.
I would appreciate if there was a bracket or some additional accessory available that could make this functionality possible.
Even so, I’ve found numerous comfortable positions for working but nothing that centers both screens. I’ve found other wall mounted solutions that do offer horizontal adjustment but they were several times more costly at $200+.
All in all this is a good product that functions well.
Installing the mount at the correct height can be tricky, so don’t drill holes in your wall until you figure that out. A general rule is to attach the mount to the wall so that it’s about halfway from the bottom of your monitor when at the height that’s most comfortable for viewing. The monitors stick out about a foot from the wall. Very adjustablable.
Attaching the plates to the back of monitors then sliding on the arm mounts is easy.
It took us about 30 minutes to install because we made some adjustments (and we weren’t in a big rush).
Yes, your cords will show.
This is my first vesa mount so my problems could be the same with others. Pros
Cheap
Good wire management
Good build quality
Easy to set up
Cons
Screws are garbage stripped very fast luckily I had the correct socket so I diddnt need to go out and buy new ones
Micro adjustments suck I cand get my monitors in the exact position I want
This is a cheap vesa wall mount so I understand why I can’t get perfect placement. Thr only reason why it’s 4* is due to the screws I understand they are trying to save money but I’d be fine paying another $5 for better quality screws and possibly heavy duty drywall anchors.
Ideally you need to hold the monitor where you want it and adjust everything in place.. Having someone hold it exactly, where you want it is ideal.. We were trying to install this above the desk, not easy to hold a large monitor in place, adjust it and reach around to secure it tightly in place.
Very good quality, easy to mount so a 5-star on that.
