Enhanced 4dBi dual wifi antennaThe cctv camera outdoor is equipped with an enhanced 4dBi dual wifi antenna. Compared with the separate 3dBi wifi antenna, the 4dBi dual wifi antenna improves the camera’s ability to receive wifi signals and extends the transmission distance of the wifi signal, making the wifi connection more stable. The product package comes with a manual in English, you can follow the manual to complete the wifi connection in 3-5 minutes. | Motion detection and app notificationThe wireless security camera outdoor has a more intelligent motion detection function. When the camera detects movement, it will immediately send an alert notification to your mobile phone, allowing you to discover suspicious objects in time. When motion detection is triggered, the camera can sound a siren, helping you scare off the thief. You can set the motion detection area and sensitivity through the mobile app to reduce false alarms. The camera also supports email notification, which can send alarm images to your mailbox. | Support mobile phone/tablet/PC remote monitoringYou can watch real-time video on your phone or tablet after the wifi security camera is connected with the “CamHi pro” APP. Even if you are on business or traveling abroad, you can monitor remotely via your mobile phone. There is no need to worry about someone invading. Got this camera for a blind spot at side of house. Tried 2 different cameras in this position but kept loosing signal. This one has 2 antennas and up to now no loss of signal so far so good picture quality also good as is night vision. For the price you can’t go wrong
Recently replaced an old IeGeek camera from above my garage with this product. CCTV picture is good, having dealt with these cameras before it’s easier to link via Ethernet first then link the wifi so didn’t take long to set up. Great product as always and worth the 24 I paid, no subscription and good customer services.
Well worth the money so easy to set up.
The picture quality is good in 3k and better in 4k.
It’s a decent camera for the money.
The software is an excellent addition for the user to set record days times etc and movement alarm.
I would certainly buy this again in fact I’ve bought a 2nd 1.
Highly recommended.
Home security. This is a good camera. The suggested app could be better. Excellent service.
I am really impressed with this camera. It has proved reliable, connectivity is good and image quality is superb. The app is also very easy to navigate. Performs far better than cameras 4 times the price. I recommend this.
This a great security camera picture definition very clear, easy to install and set up. It’s the second camera I have bought first one was over two years ago and is still fine. After sale’s communication very good despite the different time zone.
I like the fact ieGeek does exactly what their CCTV camera says it does… And that it alerts me on my phone.
Camera stopped working after 5 days. 5 start review is for the way ieGeek staff reacted to communicate and the sending of a replacement.
These work great and for the price you cannot go wrong
I recently purchased the ieGeek IP camera and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. The video quality is fantastic and the app is easy to use. I appreciate the motion detection feature, which provides me with peace of mind when I’m away from home. Overall, a fantastic product that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly IP camera.
I paid 28.49 for this and consider it good value for money. It is a basic but good quality chinese ip camera.
Good points:
Easy to setup. MAC wasn’t printed on the camera, but I could see the dhcp logs and it got an ip quickly. Web (PC) interface is stable and the settings page, although basic in design (it looks like it was done in the 1990s) – everything I needed was where it should be and worked. I gave it a static IP, set the wifi details and then unplugged the supplied cat5 lead. It was back on the wifi on the same ip within 3 seconds and was stable. Wifi is stable and latency good, it has not disconnected once in 12h.
Picture quality is good, and it did manage to provide smooth 1080p over a wifi connection.
Camera build quality is good, and looks weatherproof.
The night view LEDs are surprisingly powerful – I could see a tree about 50m away in full darkness. They can be turned off in settings if needed.
It allows you to configure two viewing streams which is a nice feature, usually only seen in higher end cameras like my Vivotek, which costs over 10x as much as this.
It was very easy to connect to Zoneminder, using ffmpeg and the url rtsp://IP-ADDRESS:554/12 for the second stream.
I can’t comment on motion capabilities, sd-card recording nor the pc software that the web interface links to, as I didn’t use them.
Bad points:
Security is almost non-existent, unusual in a modern device. The web interface is http only, no https, no tls, no certs. The default user/pass is printed on the camera (not really a problem as you can change it) but the rtsp feed is viewable without any authentication. All of this is probably fine for a local network device, but if it was opened to the internet it would be compromised very quickly and could provide an access to your local network.
The mounting mount is fairly flimsy. Not unusably so, just not as well made as the camera itself.
Overall, this is a better quality device than most of the cheaper IP end, and ieGeek seem to take some pride, and I’ve seen them providing customer support here on Amazon.
Suggestion for ieGeek: Beef up the mount, make the plastic sections thicker. I have my doubts it will last for any time in sunlight before it cracks and fails. It’s also very easy for the camera to be knocked loose and move out of position. Also – consider a redesign on the web interface and invest in some basic security features. https by default with a full certificate would be nice so the user gets no browser warnings. Camera design is great, and features are great.
Great little camera, especially for the price. To get humanoid detection at this price is remarkable! The image is good and the camera works seamlessly with the CamHiPro phone app and pc client. This will be my go-to camera next time I need something like this.
Easy to setup, easy to use, clear clean image. My setting for motion sensitivity is currently set to 1, anything above this and the alarm recording goes off for every little motion. Sensitivity setting 1 is enough for me, it’s doing the job so far.
I have purchased a number of cameras from IeGeek. The IG20 and IE20. Both are of exceptional build quality. Have great functionality and produce very clear and good quality images. The App is user friendly as well, giving multi view options which allow you to set up any combination of 4 cameras to display at the same time. The cameras are easy to install and set up in minutes. Very impressed and would definitely recommend.
Bought this as I needed something next day to install quickly. Didn’t expect much for the price but was pleasantly surprised by this camera. The claim of them being HD is true. Easy to set up and use the app to monitor and record. Stable connection to wifi which some cheap cameras are not. Sound quality is not the best but for their price I’d highly recommend them.
I have updated this review because I have managed to get it to do most of what I want it to do. So I have increased the star rating to 4 from the original 2.
Equipment wise this is an excellent product, but it is crippled by software limitations imposed by the manufacturer.
Minus 1 star: It says it can do FTP, it can but only the images on the autosnap stream alarm images and videos cannot use FTP
Minus 1 star: The alarm and video images can be stored on the cloud, but this is a subscription service.
Minus 1 star: I don’t want my cctv images stored on some Chinese server somewhere. Unacceptable.
Maybe if you review the software and issue a fix for the FTP I will come back and re-rate the produc
This camera is very good and you just need to purchase a SD card so don’t need to subscribe cloud member which is suitable for someone who have a budget .
I had an iegeek camera for a few years before and it stopped working but I had no hesitation in replacing it with another iegeek camera. Very easy to set up
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Good instructions for intallation just dont be tempted to take shortcuts read first. Took about 10 mins to install cameras on site. Using the fone app to set up and control was reasonably easy had the time zone issue but after a couple of resets if was resolved. good quality images and videos. Now for control away from home is via fone app CamHipro. At home contol either fone app or Hip2p app on pc. For ease of use and value for money I would easily recomend this product. currently have 2 IG20
This camera arrived well packaged and instructions.
The night vision was very good and I was very happy with the picture. The camera is also very discreet as you can see in picture smaller than my iPhone. Clear sound.
Unfortunately I had to return this for two reasons.
1, The time kept reverting back to Hong Kong time no matter how many times I set and saved it which if a crime was to occur I think that would effect evidence- obviously purchased for outside of house for security so needs to be correct. Also was confusing recording as the times were all over the placed
2, I could never get it to connect to my Mac as you can see in pictures I kept getting error message wrong password after numerous emails back and forth to customer service- who are always polite and helpful- only problem they don’t have a phone number only email so long process! We couldn’t resolve so had to return such a shame as I really liked the camera.
I bought this camera for it’s wireless range as I needed it at the bottom of my garden looking at my driveway, And my garden is about 30 meters long and the WiFi signal strength is not quite 100% but it still good enough to allow me to use my phone and view it in a brilliant picture quality and Night vision.
It Was easy and simple to set up even with the amount of settings it has and as for the price of it I’m so impressed I’m gonna be adding more cameras from ie geek around my house.
Easy to install. Great picture, day and night.
Especially like that you can talk through the camera and that it has a spotlight and siren.
This is an excellent security camera and ideal as a door monitor camera as with 2 way speech you can talk with anyone at the door without having to open it. Both day and night it gives brilliant footage and clarity of picture. With the micro SD card slot you can record the video footage or even take a snapshot. The camera is well made and compact so is not intrusive especially by the door, it works on both WIFI or Ethernet Cable. In all I would certainly recommend this camera.
Put up a couple of these two years ago and they have been faultless, well worth the money.
So many of these cheap cameras restrict you to using an app to connect and configure it. This one refreshingly allows a web interface direct to the camera. Plug it in to ethernet, connect via the IP address so I can set up the wifi access needed for it and that was it.
Installed the camera where I wanted it, set the DVR system to connect to the camera and it was done – working with no fuss.
If only other camera companies made it this easy – no registering for some dodgy app just to use the device.
Well done to the ieGeek brand.
Thoroughly recommend it.
This security camera was bought to replace a very old security camera. It was simply and quick to setup. For the price it’s image is very good in the day and at night. Very early days but if I am still happy in a couple of months I will probably buy another one for my back garden.
If used inside through window night vision let’s reflect off window.
Cannot connect to WiFi hadto connect by eagerness cable.
Every aspect from installation connecting and monitoring is so good. Very simple to install and to connect online and can be monitored online too.
Brilliant value for the money. Not had much experience with CCTV but so far this seems to serve its purpose.
Positives
– easy set up
– easy fitment
– simple and free app interface
– picture quality and FOV
– 2 way audio
– mirror and flip image allows varied positioning
– zoom
Negatives
– power lead could be longer
– motion detection is maybe TOO sensitive
– live feed connection does dip in and ou
Ordered this camera as it gave the most options to be able to view the footage, from app on phone, website and desktop app. It arrived on time and packaged well
Night vision is ok but could be better but still good enough to be able to see what is going on. Purchased a memory card (needed if you want to record video, with using apps). Would be better if it was able to take a larger size but max size will hold 3-4weeks worth of recording at a good quaility.
Would advise to make sure the camera is shelter especially when its raining or you end up with lots of false positive results as the motion detector will pick up rain.
First few month of running the camera have been great and once I have sorted through all the different settings out. (including email notification and images).
However we did start having an issue with the night mode on the camera where it looks like it was in a constant snow blizzard.
Support have been great and we tried a number of different settings but unfortunatly didn’t resolve the issue but they sent out a new camera out and that has resolved the problem.
For the price of the product and the options it is able to do, I would definitely recommend this product and will be looking at additional camera in the future on another part of the house.
This is the fifth ieGeek security camera that I’ve bought. I have been impressed by the quality of all three models that I have tried. They all work with the same CamHi and CamHipro apps so setting a new one up is very easy. I use Sandisk Extreme Pro micro SD cards and these work well in the cameras and give plenty of days before the recording loops round and starts deleting the oldest files. I find the easiest way to set up is to temporarily connect with the supplied ethernet cable, and add the camera using the app. Change the password and adjust the video settings (bit rate, frame rate, image quality) using CamHi app. I then use CamHipro to set it to HD and configure the recording options. Then all you need to do is mount it in its final location, plug in the power and ethernet and job done.
If you want to save a video, then go into the file playback for the camera and take the download option. I use the YouCut video editing app to clip the video and save as MP4, other apps are available.
For 30 it’s a great little camera. It’s easy to setup and the picture is great. There are a few downsides such as: 1) I have the sensitivity set low and it still triggers whenever the wind blows the plants 2) When triggered, it just pings a notification, I’d prefer an actual alarm to ring on my phone so that I’d wake up and check what’s going on (using it to catch foxes so needs to alert me) 3) The night vision is useless as I cannot see anything when it’s dark. I like the camera though and for 30 it’s not bad at all.
Love this camera, the picture quality is brilliant. We decided not to hardwire through the house and use wifi only. My wifi isn’t great and the camera does drop out sometimes but that’s down to my wifi, myself and my husband have the app for it and we can both view. You can speak through the camera and listen to audio. I will be getting an SD card for it.
The only negative (someone else mentioned also) the size of the hole needed to drill to feed the connections through is very large. If they could fix that it would be even better. We had to use a lot of silicone to fill the hole.
Easy to install, but very frustrating to link to mobile phone, as instructions didn’t seem to match exactly. Took several hours to set up wireless use, but only after using cable + lots of attempts.
Great image for a home camera (better than the ones at work!)+ surprisingky clear night vision.
With a bit of play, I’ve managed to work out all the features that I need, even thought the instructions didn’t cover this model of camera. Very simple now I’ve worked out how to use those features.
My camera is pointed at the bird feeders, after as I had to replace the majority of my set up after theft, but the field of vision covers the whole yard. Because of the frequent avian visitors, I’ve had to turn off the notifications, as I haven’t found a setting that isn’t too sensitive but still responds to someone being in the yard. I’ll probably try tweaking the settings when I have a day or 2 at home, and can use myself as the guinea pig!
128gb memory card looks to be sufficient for somewhere between 7-8 weeks worth of recording.
Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants cheap but decent CCTV.
I wouldn’t use this outside in Scotland it doesn’t look like it would last very long unless it was in a wee box to protect it or tuck it up under a roof overhang. I have it mounted indoors looking tjrs window and it’s fine. Night vision very poor as it reflects on glass window (that is my fault for putting it indoors). I think it is brilliant value and so easy to set up.
Got this to replace a 4-year old camera by the same manufacturer. The original camera had also worked well but has reached the end of its life.
It does what it says it will do. Good quality picture, reasonable area coverage and despite some other reviews easy to set up (you do need to follow the instructions and initially hard wire it to your Wi-Fi box, and use the free app. They supply a lead, so use it. It’s harder to do via Wi-Fi alone.)
You need a few DIY skills to drill your wall to mount it, and I’d recommend buying an additional waterproof electrical connection box for external use. It also needs a mains power connection which in my case meant drilling right through the wall to get to a plug socket.
Small annoyances – the fixed camera leads are about 300mm shorter than my original model, so had to move the IP65 waterproof connection box to install.
The external speaker to allow you to broadcast from the camera is very quiet. For me, I won’t be using it so don’t care. The external microphone seems to work very well though.
And that’s it. Personally I think this camera is good value for money.
After been woken at midnight to the sound of scumbags ride up and down our dead end street casing garages and drives I thought it was time for a camera.
The camera came in a simple box with all cables and a little instruction manual; as Chinglish manuals go its pretty good however I didn’t need to use it.
Plug the ethernet cable into your camera lead. Plug the other end of the ethernet cable into your router. Plug in the power lead and turn it on. Next download CAMHIPRO onto your phone. Load CAMHIPRO to setup WIFI. Disconnect your ethernet cable and the camera should now be wireless.
My camera is positioned above my garage and gives great clear, sharp images, night and day, of my drive and the road just outside my house. With the camera been so far from my router it does drop out often (Check how strong the signal is with your phone before passing judgement). However the camera comes with the option to hook up an ethernet cable which should eliminate any drop outs.
CAMHIPRO works great with this camera. I can check in on my house whist at work, in fact anywhere as long as I have an internet connection. The inbuilt speaker means you can talk to any one on your property and they can talk back however I’ve had no use for this yet….Besides scaring my fianc and my kids as they walk down the drive 🙂
The only niggle I have is the sensitivity of the motion detection is too high; I think this is more of problem with the camera than the software. Small bugs floating past the camera trigger an alert even on the lowest sensitivity setting. This can result in 10s of Push notifications on my phone.
I have this currently connected by an ethernet cable to my home network. I have my server running CAMHIPRO (or HIP2P Client) and recording constantly. I tried all kinds of other IP camera software but this software for PC seems to be the best…if not a bit buggy at times. Alarms are easy to spot and play back.
Overall for 29.99GBP this is a great little camera. Don’t be put off by the bad reviews…..Most of the time its because they haven’t set the camera up properly!
Pros
+Great picture quality
+Great night vision quality
+Very easy to setup (Hint plug it into your router first using the supplied ethernet cable to setup wireless)
Cons
-Very sensitive motion detection
-Sketchy WIFI (However it is along way from my router)
The picture seems good considering the price.
Set-up would be a hundred times better if the instructions and app were in proper English. Please, Chinese manufacturers, just flippin email someone you know in the UK or US and ask them to proof read your manuals and apps. Send it to me—I’ll do it for free. Just stop torturing us with “insert your line on the brick” and other meaningless phrases. Thank you.
I bought two of these cameras, they are very easy to set up and great quality, I had one small issue with one of them and the seller was extremely responsive and so helpful, to save me time they even refunded one camera and said I didn’t need to return it so that I could buy another without having to wait.
Absolutely excellent and would reccomend to everyone
The onboard UX is web based and outdated, needing browser plugins no longer available, recommend you don’t bother with it. The motion detection can’t do zones or anything clever. It really, really, needs an updated firmware.
If you’re looking for a “fire and forget” camera which will dump to SD when anything moves, this will technically do that, but that’s not its strength.
I used mine as a video source for Agent DVR and it performed flawlessly. Other ONVIF-compatible managers will work just as well. That’s the good thing here: It does industry standards well. It’ll plug into an existing IP surveillance system seamlessly.
The IR LEDs are good for about 5 metres and it switches to IR mode at a sensible light level. The 1080p video stream is reasonably good quality at a stream rate of 8 Mbps, which can be adjusted.
TL;DR: If all you need is a video source for your recording server or surveillance device, this is absolutely perfect. If you need a one-piece solution, keep browsing.
I installed this on the outside of my log cabin. I have a separate network in there from my house but i was amazed it picked both up wirelessly with over 80% signal strength from my home router! Its not skipped a beat since installing it. I have no idea why the app is so poorly rated. It works perfectly for me. Great camera and picture quality and the night image is excellent too. For 30, what isn’t to like?
Brilliant product quality with excellent platform , so pleased I’ve got 3 . Highly recommended
Easy to set up. Great pictures. So good I bought a second one.
Small and cheap BUT just as good as a camera system at 3 times the price and very easy to set up and use with a clear and easy to understand instruction manual
Overall.. it works, I suppose you get what you pay for
Currently have it set up on an outside windowsill, after a week of use has what I can only guess as minor water damage as shown in the image, I will update our review if damage worsens, currently still fit for purpose..
Easy too fit does require a drill, cables waterproof and reasonable length, setup fairly easy if go with the recommended APP and start with ethernet before wifi
Video image couldn’t survive a face ID but clear & fast enough too keep eye on movement etc
Update:
1 Month of use & No worsening of damage since occurred, very helpful product support, been offered repair/replacement
Overall product works as intended
For the price, quality is excellent ! Picture is so clear on the camera. The app for the camera is so easy to navigate..can’t recommend this camera enough..bought 2 🙂
I ordered this because I was disappointed with my existing ring door camera, it took a long time to open and load recordings, for the first couple of seconds on the ring the image is blurred so I decided to buy a different brand, so glad I did.
This is a very good quality camera the image is outstanding, the app Camhipro which I downloaded through the Google store is amazing, I decided to install the camera on my landing inside house, un point de lens through the top opener, this works brilliantly for Daytime recordings, the infrared light reflects off the inside glass of the window so please do not install yours inside, I know it is an outside camera but my house is quite high up so I didn’t fancy falling off the ladders , but will now fix it outside somewhere due to the infrared lights reflecting off the glass which causes a glare this is not a criticism it is my own fault for fitting it inside the house, I am extremely impressed with the ease of the app and how fast it loads within 2 seconds of opening the app it is live, my existing ring door camera takes an eternity to open but I will keep it as a doorbell, I intend to buy even more of these and stop them around my home as the app can take numerous cameras.
The only criticism I am are these two facts, the lead that comes out the back of the camera is not detachable therefore you have to drill an extra large hole in your wall to pass all three cables through one of them is the reset cable the other is the ethernet connection if you hardwire it and the remaining one is the power supply cable.
A second criticism is upon setup you have to connect it to the ethernet to your router, I’ve tried numerous times to connect wirelessly and it would not work, but after you have connected it to the Ethernet cable and it registers the camera then you no longer need to have this connected after that point it will connect wirelessly, I also downloaded the app on my partner’s phone but she did not need to use the Ethernet cable to connect she could connect directly wirelessly I presume because I had already installed it with the Ethernet cable.
Overall the best thing about me is the picture quality it is very good, I can’t believe what amazing quality and value for money this item is, if you buy this you will not be disappointed I think you would have to spend an awful lot more money to get better picture quality I have complete confidence in this brand it is built rugged and everything works, if they just made the cable that enters the back of the camera detachable this would mean the whole you have to drill in the wall would only be 6 ml instead of about 15 ml
This was the third IE Geek outdoor I have purchased. It was to replace the first one I bought about a year earlier which just conked out, dont know why. This one lasted less than a year. The metal stem that holds the main body of the camera was already rusting which isnt very good for an outdoor product, then the alarm went off for no reason and wouldn’t turn off. After power off and on it worked for a short time then it went off never to to come back to life. Returned this one for a refund. The second camera I purchased was a better model and is still working and seems fine.
Edit 18.04.22
The manufacturer contacted me after I left the above review. After some discussion they compensated me for my troubles. The better quality camera from them is still working fine. I have also gone on to install another one of their better quality cameras so will see how we get on with that. Their customer service is very good. The cameras are good too if you stick to the better quality models from what I can tell. If I get more issues will update here again. Stars upgraded from 2 – 4.
Brilliant wee camera
The the live video on it is such good quality
The sounds of it’s perfect
The night vision is fantastic
And I have now ordered a second one now
Best cctv camera
A super product , really easy to install and use . I brought 2 and work perfectly. Can be at work and have a clear picture on my phone of all my house.
A great investment, won’t be disappointed.
Don’t laugh…..bought to watch hedgehogs! Used with a 12v car battery and WiFi back to the house. We had a hedgehog that was being seen during daytime, as they need to be a certain weight to hibernate we needed to see it was eating the food we put out and the food was not being taken by the local cats, I already had an ieGeek CCTV setup for the house so knew the quality and performace of these cameras.
Bought this to replace an igeek camera I had in place for 7 years nothing wrong with the camera but thought it was te for a new one this fitted the bill took about 1hour to set up also put a 128mg memory card in other had a 64mg the difference between the two is very good I am not knocking the other camera it was good but when set up this is a lot better would recommend this and a 128mg card to go with i
This is a good camera, but it doesn’t work when looking through a window. The infrared lights bounce back, causing complete blindness of the outside. This is relative to all infrared cameras, not just this one, I just wish there was a way around this
I had 8 of these cameras for several years now. Over that time 2 failed but at the price and the fact they did last several years couldn’t complain so went for the same make again as it would integrate with the same management tool, which despite some criticism I’ve never had any issues with, (apple app over a series of iPad and iPhone)
So I quickly got it setup on Ethernet and went to connect to my Wi-Fi. Incorrect password, tried again, incorrect password. Nothing I did would get the password to be accepted. Activated an old Wi-Fi SSID and it connected straight up. No problems, the only difference was the one that wouldn’t connect was to a dual band router the one that did connect was a 2.4 GHz only. The other difference was the password contained an @.
Once connected I noticed a massive lag between the picture and my movements, which I had not noticed before on the other camera, but I won’t say it’s not there. However for what we need it for that is not an issue and for the price then I can accept a bit of a delay. However for live 2 way communication could cause issues. Picture quality seems ok in both daylight and night vision modes without too much flair from other camera and their infra Red leds.
I have ~50 Wi-Fi items connected and really need to get this on my main network without having to change the main Wi-Fi password. Raised a ticket with ieGeek via Amazon so hopefully will get a positive response and a resolution. Also wondering if this special character issue I’m seeing could be behind the other reported issues around Wi-Fi connectivity. So if you are having Wi-Fi issues it may be worth temporarily changing your password to contain letters and numbers only and no special characters to see if it connects. Then rolling a new password out may be an option for yourself.
Not sure of sound quality yet and that may be another show stopper as we want to review training sessions and be able to hear the trainers comments whilst analysing the visual, however appreciate that’s not a mainstream requirement.
Although the company did not get back to me I managed to add the camera to the main WiFi with the @ in the password. I think it may have been the dual band aspect of the router I was trying to connect to. Where the item is located there is only 2.4GHz available and one WiFi router with a far stronger signal than when I initially tried setting it up.
Also first time of using it for its intended purpose and it’s not brilliant but it does the job and for the price I’m more than happy.
This was easy to set up with guide provided, good picture quality, and works fine with my old sd card I reused out of my old tablet.
It does what I bought it for and is unobtrusive.
However I wish it had human alarm detection to cut down on false alarms, as an aside you can set the sensitivity so all round a good camera for the price paid, and you do really get what you pay for these days.
I already had one of these cameras and this one complements the other just fine. I like the time playback feature and once correctly set up it works reliably. The location I use it in has a lot of passing traffic and pedestrians but with a 64gb card it will hold the recordings for 2 weeks before overwriting them. The picture quality is good as is the night vision.
Bought this to monitor our chicken run and chose this specific model as it is usable on a Windows PC. It is connected via Wi Fi and I installed a nearby Powerline Wi Fi extender to ensure good signal. The power adaptor provided is too large to fit inside a standard outside power socket so I swapped it for a smaller one from Amazon (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UFK2JP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) not perfect but a big improvement. Picture quality both day & night is excellent. Using the PC S/W is a bit tricky and need to hunt for user instructions on the web but once set up is basic but adequate. I did buy & install the SD card but have never needed it as I record onto the PC. if anything the Alarm / Motion Detection is too sensitive, even rain in front of the camera triggers it! So far I haven’t tried the voice aspect. For my requirements of checking on the hens via phone or PC as and when required it’s excellent! Checking for any other nightlife, rats, foxes etc. I use the PC to just record & review the next day.
Every time it rains it activates alert. Otherwise excellent day and night vision.
Able to receive live and recorded pictures on the app from Scotland to Isle of Wight. Nighttime pictures not as clear as the daytime pictures but that was expected. Floodlit pictures tend to be over exposed.
Good for watching hedgehogs so I can tell when they disappear to hibernate.
I found the instruction booklet difficult to follow. I have another similar unit from a different manufacture which was much easier to follow. Having persevered for several hours. I got it working. It works well so please, if the maker ever reads this. why not spend time explaining the setup better.
Night vision and picture quality amazing, app is okay not great but is fine for the purpose. Motion detector is the only problem as it will trigger always if people are outside or Will trigger if no one is there. But very good and would recommend it to anyone
