We ordered another one for our home in Portugal and, although more expensive as it’s the updated version, it’s even better. We have had air fryers for years but this one, with all it’s extra functions is fantastic. Worth every penny. Particularly love the glass door and the light which lets you see what’s going on inside.

Make oven chips in 20 as opposed to 20 mins preheat gas oven then another 30-40 mins in the oven then the oven fan is on to Collection only from Khushboo, Berridge Road, Forest fields, NG7 6LZ. the shop opens by appointment only so let me know when ur free and you can come down it down. I’ve barely used my oven since buying this. Morning croissant takes 12 minutes From frozen. Easy to use and cooks almost anything.

Excellent and super useful
All too frequently I was putting on the gas oven to cook a single item. I knew this was incredibly wasteful. The solution seemed to be an air fryer.
Boy, is this thing good. Stuff cooks in perhaps half the time. You can cook things like chicken breasts or sausages from frozen. Chicken wings are delicious. Thick cut oven chips come out crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Bacon can be done super crispy. Air fried sprouts are gorgeous. Reheating food works well.
It is easy to clean and the windowed drawer and light are useful. The lack of a recipe manual is only a minor irritation. There are plenty of recipes to be found on line and after a while you get to know what the settings should be.
The controls are straight forward, though I have not experimented much with settings beyond air fry. If you feel you need to cook longer, just bump up the time and press start. You can also pull the drawer out at any time to shake the food but it will advise you to do this with a beep about two thirds of the way through cooking.
Cleaning is easy. I’d avoid using a dishwasher, as the non-stick surface will suffer.
It does take up a bit of space but it is worth it. For smaller batches it uses less energy than a standard oven. It is healthier than frying and it is quick.

Vortex air frye
Slightly smaller than a previous fryer but still capable of cooking all we need. We like the glass panels which help is seeing the cooking process. Easy to use.

I’ve only used this air fryer three time in a week. Tried to do a chicken today just over 1.8 kg but the chicken was too big for the fryer. The vortex is a big piece of equipment so needed to reorganise my kitchen. Instructions are limit hence 4 stars. Instant need to give us a bit more info to get the best out of this air fryer. simple to use and quick to cook
I really like this Air fryer, it’s so simple to use. Forget the presets they are are a distraction as all they are are time and heat presets grill bake fry it’s all the same thing. Set for air fry chose your time and heat setting and off you go. you soon get use to how long food takes. the real good thing is you can open up the draw as many times as you like to check the cooking process and slide the draw back and it automatically continues where you left off. Easy to clean especially with the POHOVE 8inch Air Fryer Silicone Pot which fits just right.
Good and bad design choices
The basket has a solid design and appears well made. The strange thing is the insert, in every other air fryer I’ve used the basket has a removable insert that’s attached to the handle. In this one however there’s just an insert with a tiny metal handle which gets too hot to pull the insert out. So you can’t pull out the insert and tip into whatever you’re serving in. Best airfryer I've ever had!
This airfryer is hands down the best on the market and excellent value for size! I’ve tried other very well known brands that are in 350+ bracket and they are simply not worth it! They are much harder to clean and use unnecessary extra basket grill plates etc. To make you think you are getting more bang for ur buck but in fact it’s just a gimmick! You only need one basket with this airfyer and it has 6 cooking options. The square basket is far better than the round as you can fit better cuts of meat etc in it. The touch button options are easy to follow and will beep half way through cooking time to remind you to rotate ur food. It’s so simple to use that my teen loves cooking and baking for herself with it. No big clean ups. Just the basket. Winner all round.

I have been using my Vortex Plus for over a week now and have cooked most meals in it! It is so convenient especially the clear cook windows. They make cooking easy as I can check the progress of my food without having to stop the cycle! Everything tastes great and it’s so much quicker then my oven!

I love it! I already have the mini air fryer from Instant Brands which I use a lot but was finding myself having to batch cook larger portions or use both the air fryer and the oven when I was cooking two different things. Saw this and thought it would be the perfect solution and I was right! It’s just as easy to use as my mini but the capacity of the drawers is much better and I love that I can cook two different things at the same time and that I can even sync them to finish together, such a genius idea! It heats up really quickly, I’ve already found myself using my oven a lot less and the clear drawers are great to monitor your cooking. The lights even come on automatically when it tells you to turn food or when your food is done, or you can press the light button at any point. I’m so glad I decided to upgrade!

Since receiving the NEW Dual Air Fryer, it’s been used everyday! Really efficient and practical to use due to the dual option trays. Really impressive that both trays can be adjusted and cooked at different times and love the light function! Always useful to see the cooking progress without the need of removing the tray.
Surprisingly the overall size isn’t too big so doesn’t take up a lot of room in the kitchen and very aesthetically pleasing which is always a bonus. Thank you Instand Brands, another great purchase!

I love my new gadget for the kitchen. So far we’ve cooked things such as a fry up with bacon, sausages and hash browns; roast potatoes for 12 people and sausage rolls. It’s so easy to use and clean. I love the sync finish so everything is ready at the same time. The roasted new potatoes got the thumbs up from the whole family.
It also feels healthier as the excess fat is collected at the bottom away from the food.
Plus my toaster died and have decided not to replace it as it actually makes really nice toast. So now it has pride of place in my kitchen. I’ve used it pretty much every day since I got it! I like the 2 baskets as you can cook more than one thing at the same time on different settings!!!

This is my first ever air fryer. It looks great, is very east to operate once instructions are read carefully. Although I did remove all cardboard from inside the interior (where basket sits), there was a plastic smell after forst few uses. This goes away though. Categories of cook type are helpful as a guide but found I had to check equivalent temps for gas – which I’m more used to. Love the fact I can easily change time and temp as I’m cooking. Could use something underneath to stop Instant from moving around when I insert and remove basket to add/remove or check food. Love the results I’m getting. Things I’d like even more, would be silicone baking/stew containers that come with it as a pack.Overall, really enjoying the product.
Got this Air Fryer to upgrade my current one, and I can’t believe how much better it is. The same fast cooking but with even more benefits! Glass windows are a game changer so can see that everything is cooking away. Having 2 drawers gives me more space and its now even easier to cook 2 different things at the same time. It’s great – Highly recommend! And my puppy loved playing in the box.
You'll use it more than you'd think
I use this almost every night. Any weird smells burnt off quickly. This really cuts down on cooking time and doesn’t put out as much heat as an oven.
The only accessories that are essential are silicone mat and nonstick safe spatula and tongs. Cleaning is easy, even without a dishwasher. It’s essentially a compact convection oven, but works better than any regular convection oven I’ve used.
Good air frye
After previously having a Philips XL air fryer that the teflon coating had worn out, tried this one as it is much cheaper. The Instant air fryer makes much better use of the counter space and is less noisy, but in terms of crispiness I think the Philips one is slightly better – if I had the choice again I think I would still go for the Instant.
My only complaint is that when putting the food from the basket into a serving dish you need to be very careful that the bottom grill of the basket doesn’t fall out – I’ve gotten used to using a wooden spoon to hold the base in place.
After suffering the teflon coating being worn out on the Philips model, we don’t put the basket in the dishwasher anymore, but it is very easy to clean so not a great inconvenience.
Better than the corsori we had
This is superb and is better than the corsori one we had, it’s much easier to clean and the basket seems slightly wider meaning it holds slightly more. There is a flat grill plate on the bottom which lifts out rather than the corsori basket in a basket idea. Pre heats every time for roughly 2 minutes then it’s ready for the food, almost everything gets cooked in it now especially veg airfryer broccoli is so nice even our 4 year old not only eats it but asks for more.
Simply Wow!
This item is just wonderful. It arrived in good time, well packaged and in perfect condition. It is so easy to use and cooks things beautifully. Easy to clean and it’s not too heavy to move about if I need to but it doesn’t take up a great deal of space. I still have a lot to learn and try out but so far it’s amazing from cookies and cakes to all kinds of meat. Jacket potatoes are out of this world! I love this air fryer and would highly recommend it. Many thanks.
Been using this a while now and it never fails to amaze, what you can cook with it, it,s now become our main go to appliance for cooking, looks a bit daunting when you first unwrap not sure what to do or how to use, not wanting to under cook or over cook food, there’s basic instructions in the box but no how too or how long or what settings but rest assure a hours watch on u tube and your away, it really is so simple i think every household should have one of these their great, before buying this i did a bit of research there are cheaper ones and certainly more expensive one,s but this had good revue,s and was reasonably priced, i will upgrade to a larger one eventually but this is good for a family of four and really is a good one to get you started, i,m well pleased and would recommend

I questioned whether or not I needed an air fryer, or if I had counter space for one, or if the meals I cook could be prepared in one – but got one for my birthday – and I wish I’d got one long ago!
I made space for it on my counter and I have used it for every meal this week- sausages are amazing, oven chips come out crispy on the outside but fluffy, grilled mushrooms are out of this world (and didn’t go soggy or watery), I’ve baked cinnamon rolls for breakfast and cooked a pizza, and all for a fraction of the time it would take conventionally. And the bonus is that clean up is so easy too – the nonstick surface of the basket makes food and residue just slide off.
The only negative I can say is that the booklet doesn’t offer cooking times and suggestions for popular foods, but a quick Google search and you’ll discover tons of ideas and suggestions.
We chose this model for the size of the basket as we are a family of four, it happens to have 6 cooking methods and so far I’ve only used the airfry, bake and reheat settings, and they work as you would expect.

It’s a good air fryer but the cooking instructions for certain items you will have to learn yourself for what times and heating setting some things burn some don’t cook enough it’s not the air fryer just general items and how they are, another thing is to cook atleast 3 or 4 times for the plastic smell to go, currently I’m trying Chicago Town pizzas in there 8mins 205c on air fryer and there coming out great so fa
Cooks quicker than an oven!
So I’m posting this review in case in other people aren’t aware of this revelation… it cooks food quicker than an oven! I had no idea (e.g. oven chips and crispy chicken fillets in around 13 minutes rather than the 25-30 they take in the oven) and in this current heatwave it’s a godsend not having the oven on. It also doesn’t kick out nearly as much heat as having the oven on would.
Food tastes great from it even with no or spray oil.
The drawer is very easy to clean thanks to the non stick coating.
Dials are easy to use and remember the last settings (time and heat) used which is great.
4 stars rather than 5 simply because it doesn’t auto stir the food, it beeps around 2/3 of the way through prompting you to shake it.
How have I lived this long without it?
Fair play, this device is INCREDIBLE. I cannot believe how well it cooks literally everything. We use it for your typical ‘brown food’ (chips, chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc), but it also works incredible well with meat! We’ve cooked fresh chicken breasts and they come out super moist and slightly crispy. We even did a small beef joint on the weekend, which was a huge success. Would highly recommend.
I am seriously impressed with this Air Fryer. I paid 65 for it but I’d happily pay 100 or more.
I use it in preference of my oven for almost everything. Cooking time is also almost halved and there’s less mess and grease/fat/oil.

That is no exaggeration. I am not a great one for instructions, so tend to wing the cooking times based on time in the oven divided by two. Working well so far! I had a smaller air fryer before, which was great. This is next level. I rarely recommend items unreservedly, but will make an exception in this case.
Great purchase, v. pleased with results
Saw good reports of air frying and found this item in a ‘Top Ten’ list. We’ve been using a worktop mini-oven when not needing full oven capacity, but control was very basic and use was limited. This item we purchased is as easy to use as our microwave, is fully-featured, has more capacity but takes up less worktop space than our mini oven, and due to the fan it doesn’t heat up the underside of our cupboards now. Very pleased with the results so far, the styling of the unit, and the improved energy efficiency – now looking forward to trying out different types of meals with it!
Easy to use, easy to clean, great results every time
The size is a good fit for the kitchen. It’s not loud and the multiple settings of airfry, bake, grill, reheat and dehydrate give you plenty of options. Looks clean and smart, in line with other Instant pot products. The basket is plenty big for a family to use? The only nibble is the lack of a recipe book. Plenty of recipes online though along with suggested cook times.
Great piece of kitchen equipment - highly recommend
We have been looking at buying an airfryer for some time but were unsure of how much we would use this and felt that some were to expensive or too big for the space we had available. Saw that Instant Pot had this Vortex airfryer and as we are big fans of the Instant Pot we thought we would give it a go. We are not disappointed and use this regularly, we have cooked pork tenderloin, steaks, chicken quarters, beef kebabs amongst many other things and it has all turned out well. No after smells hanging around, very easy to clean and cut our cooking time down massively!! Would highly recommend.
Love this!
I have used it every day since it arrived. It really is a new way of doing things, and produces some things just faster, some faster and better, and some ( like cheese toasties) just spectacularly good. From crispy everything with minimal oil to pies and cakes. Super easy to clean. Would recommend to anyone – especially in a small kitchen where there is not much room for gadgets. If you are only cooking for one or two, this might be all you need.
Sadly it comes with very little in the way of instruction, and no accessories. There is LOADS of advice and recipies on the web, though, and although a decent pair of silicone tongs is a must you can get by without other bits and bobs – or can use e.g.cake tins that you already have.
Need recipes
Took the plunge and bought this about a month ago. Does cook things quicker than the halogen oven I was using, but biggest gripe is that there are no recipe book which would of made me give better stars. Even made doughnuts in it as well as dinners.
Biggest gripe is how loud the sound is to tell you when to put food in or turn, over night a young thrush started cherping as loud as the air fryer convinced I had her family making loud noises… Never heard a bird make that noise, just glad when finished cooking dinner, so her parents could take her home… She was loud.
Hard to find books that cover the vortex in their recipies so constantly adapting.
The food is Healthy and delicious
I bought my instant pot vortex 4-1 on the 28th of April I use it nearly every day I’ve done chips, steak, chicken BBQ ribs I’ve baked Air fried cooked in it it cuts your cooking and baking and frying down by half I haven’t used my gas oven since I bought my instant pot vortex 4-1 it also does beef burgers roast potatoes and the food tastes better I don’t have to use oil or fat or butter to cook I bought the instant vortex Air fryer cookbook over 800 Recipes to choose from breakfast lunch dinner it also does desserts and all your vegetables as well
Crispy Chips without much legwork
Who needs tonnes of sizzling fat to get crispy chips! Cooks very quickly compared to the oven (mixed results with oven chips) so when using this we found easier to cook for less than recommended as it was that efficient and quick to have them done in 12 to 15 mins (the 15 was for fat oven chips) and they come out very nice.
Also found it was good for crispy chicken bits (son prefers them crispy) so overall nice and simple to use with a few other features (like the bake etc which we just havnt used).
glad I bought it when it was on special (as used to love the actifry but it died after a few years).
Fantastic all round
I had been on the fence about air fryers for a long time, thinking it was all hype. I happened to catch this on offer for 69.99 so gave it a chance and bought it.
So far I’ve not used it with oil, but I’ve had fantastic results without. It works well with pretty much everything. Sweet potato chips come put perfectly, as do sausages, burgers and steak. I even popped a micro pizza in just for fun and it went from mediocre to delicious, crispy and perfectly melted cheese.
When I’m in a rush I bung a few fish fingers in or a frozen burger and they’re crispy and delicious in under 10 minutes.
It’s non stick so it’s really easy to clean too, I run the removable tray under the hot water, give it a quick rub with a brush and fairy and it’s sorted.
The inside isn’t removable, it’s wipe clean only, but this isnt an issue as I’ve managed to wipe burnt bubbles off easily with a damp kitchen towel. So so much less faff than pans and oven trays. Highly recommended.
At last - an air fryer cooker that works!
Incredibly simple to use, with first class results every time. Only two gripes: 1) I wish it came with a recipe book, rather than the online recipe facility, which is hard to use; 2) I wish it didn’t show a light when it is off. Apart from that, I have no complaints 😉
You won’t regret buying this
I hadn’t used an air fryer before buying this but we use it daily now. It’s such a great way to cook food if you want a healthier option and it’s just much less hassle. It preheats up to 200c in under 2 minutes and everything that’s come out of it has been really well cooked.
We have an instant pot pressure cooker as well so stuck with the brand and this is a great product well worth its price. I’d recommend anyone to get this.
This is great, frozen oven chips actually taste ok, cooking time is vastly reduced, can put a few things in at the same time. There are only two of us and its a great size, not sure how the size would be for a large family.
Dad also wanted one, he has noticed his smart meter daily costs have reduced as he isn’t using his oven as much.
Cooking times at the beginning are a bit of trial and error though Instant pot have a FB group that help with anything you have a problem with.
So quick and easy to use
I love this, it’s great for making corn on the cob, roast potatoes but mostly it’s used for making kebabs and samosas without deep frying them. There is a difference kebabs made in the vortex are not as crispy and samosa pastry tastes more like a tortilla wrap but both still taste great and it’s a lot easier to clean the vortex afterwards than it is to clean the wok. It’s also really quick at reheating frozen food much quicker than the oven for me this is a great buy

Wow! Very happy with our new Air Fryer. Very easy to operate/use. Spacious cooking compartment and food is cooked half the time as opposed to conventional oven method. Marinating pieces of meats will give you good results. Prompts you to add food, turn food and alarm at the last minute. Very easy to clean too.
Has whirring sound as it cooks but it’s not a massive issue.

My first experience with an air frier. Very easy to use and very quick but to be honest chips were not as crispy as I had anticipated. Chicken roasted well and quickly but I will probably revert to roasting it in the oven in future as you can load and leave it to do it’s thing.

Easy 5 stars for this!! Absolutely love it. My oven has hardly been on, no waiting 20 minutes for the oven to preheat, a couple of minutes preheat for the vortex & you can Roast a chicken (1.3kg) in less than hour & wow it’s so moist. Airfry sausages, knock up a cheese toastie, frozen chips 12 minutes. Bake & reheat functions are great too, easy to clean & I must have saved a small fortune in electric.
If your thinking actifry, paddles, adding oils & things just don’t taste the same – Don’t, the vortex leaves the old models in the cold.
I love this kitchen appliance!! It is easy to clean, needs no oil and cooks a variety of foods much quicker than my electric oven. I cooked the chicken in the picture in 1 hour 10 minutes and it was perfect. If I could only keep one kitchen appliance, it would be this 100%. Best one from Instant pot yet.
Having had no experience of air fryers but having heard good things about them I decided to dip my toe in the water with a small two litre one by ProBreeze. It was good but even though I’m a single person I found it too small, so I flogged it to a friend and bought this one as it was down as a best buy with Which?
I find it much better as the cooking surface is much bigger and more square (with rounded corners) so you can put a number of different things in at the same time.
The controls are easy enough to use and it’s a fairly simple overall but does the job. I think calling it “4 in 1” is a bit of an exaggeration and having the buttons for each function is unnecessary – after all, all it is is a hot element and a fan so all you can alter is the temperature and the time so calling the settings bake and reheat etc is a bit of hype.
It’s not a thing of great beauty in black – I don’t know why a lot of air fryers seem to be black – it would look a lot better in white or silver but there we are!
It was between this the ninja and the Phillips … I choose this for the size of the device and the square shaped tray, felt it would accommodate a lot more food without stacking and I was right.
This is a brilliant product very quick times and such a easy clean (don’t own a dishwasher) it’s a fully sealed pullout basket (no holes) so just let it soak in fairy liquid while your having your meal and it’s swipes off when your ready to clean it

Only had it a couple of days but really impressed. It was bought to replace a air fryer from a different company that was a gift for Xmas and only worked once. The cooking basket is large and isn’t vented around the edges which I like because the last one I had had vents which meant you couldn’t tip the food out.
I was worried it would get very hot and potentially damage my new work surface but it doesn’t.
The only downside is it isn’t dishwasher safe and you can only wipe it clean.
Can’t wait for lots of recipes to try.
Odd smell, but I think its just that new smell. Had it s couple of weeks now, and still getting used to the suitable cooking times and temps. I don’t have a cook book for it, so just Googling instructions for different foods. Very easy to clean. Temps in both C or F. It tells you when to open draw and toss food. It gives you a 5 minute warning alarm before it switches off.
This is the machine for making large quantities of deep-fried vegetables especially chips and potato wedges made from Mayan Gold potatoes quickly and without the smells that accompany deep frying. It not bad at Brussel sprouts and cauliflower as well and roasting sausages of all types.
Slightly disappointed
I’ve loved both of my Instant Pots since the day I got them but I’m not quite in love with this. For a start, opening the basket needs a good pull, it’s much bigger than expected and it’s quite noisy. However, what bugs me more than anything is trying to find recipes for it. IP have, for some strange reason. named several of their products ‘vortex’. Yes I look at air fryer recipes but it’s disappointing.
Cooked our first meal today in our new air fryer .
A little apprehensive as to how things would turn out as first time we have used an air fryer however need not have had any concerns as it turned out to be much easier than I anticipated. Jacket potatoes chicken breast portions and bacon cooked everything to perfection amazed how easy the whole process was . A good feature it actually tells you when you need to turn over whatever you are cooking . Conclusion very simple air fryer to use super easy to clean a great buy 10/10 .
Actually very impressed, used it several times now and everything had been brilliant! Even tried baking croissants in it and they came out great too
Absolutely fantastic product. I love instant pots anyway so when I saw this I could not stop myself buying it. The vortex machine looks slick and smooth with no curvy bits on the outside so is easy to clean down. The buttons are easy to press and as there are not many of them it is simple to use. The inside of the drawer is really deep and can feed a family of 4 easy (or two fat portions). I’ve cooked all sorts in this and found it cooks much quicker. Frozen chips are especially fluffy and crisp. It was that good I bought another one. I would recommend buying one of these, your cooker almost becomes redundant. I’d have given in 6 stars if I could!
Wanted an air fryer for a while and I already have an instant pot so went for the same brand. I haven’t explored its potential fully as yet but am pleased with it so far.
Very impressed with the quality of the product. Easy to clean and it cooked roast chicken and roast potatoes perfectly. The space is big enough for a family of 3 to 4. Slightly loud when cooking.
Only had it a few days. Cooking all sorts of things from my breakfasts to evening meal. Not much guidance in the literature provided but plenty of stuff online (even though much of it is American with ingredients not available here). Just a little gumption and its quite simple. Pull the drawer to check on food and it stops to wait for you. I’m very pleased and glad I went for it right now when there was a discount. Well worth the outlay.
I’ve read reviews that whinge about the “chemical” smell when you first set it up. Some people will find anything to complain about. If yours smells when first heated (which it will) then just heat it up two or three times and the residues from manufacture will burn off and no more smell.
Excellent product. Instant products seem good (I’ve an Instant Pot which led me to buy the Vortex).
Great product. Doesn’t take up much space. Super easy to clean. Cooks quickly with very short preheat time. You choose cooking method, set temperature & time, press start. Vortex tells you when to add food & when to turn food & when finished. Can add extra time or add & remove items at any stage as opening the fryer drawer stops it & it continues once drawer closed. Highly recommend. Third Instant Pot product I have bought through Amazon & all perfect.
The fryer is very easy to use but the pan is handle heavy,easy to flip off a worktop as mine did.No spares available,had to repair myself,glued on handle.
