Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood: easy to put together, seems pretty robust, capable of taking quite large and heavy monitors.

Not so good: if you have large monitors then you may find yourself wishing the arms were a bit longer.

Specifically, I have a 32″ monitor that sits directly in front of me and a 27″ to its side. For best viewing distance I would like them (1) “forward” of the base by 20cm or so and (2) with the 27″ one rotated towards me rather than in the same plane as the 32″. Unfortunately, the arms are not long enough for this to be possible. I have to put them further back, or with not much angle between them, or both, which isn’t great for my fiftysomething-year-old eyes and their limited accommodation.

There is another model, the MX900, with longer arms. When I bought the MX400 I hadn’t noticed that that existed (and therefore hadn’t considered the possibility that this one might not be designed to handle all large-monitor configurations), so I am writing the review I wish I had read before buying :-).

My guess is that _many_ (but certainly not all) people with two large screens will find that the MX400 doesn’t have enough flexibility to position them optimally.

This is a very good monitor arm ,but it little bit short for me.

Two things that knock off a star for me:

    1. The cable management system on the arms is good but too tight to allow a DP cable. Hdmi and power leads etc are thin enough and shouldn’t be a concern but if you’re using a display port then unfortunately it won’t clip in.

    2. The Tilt feature requires the loosening/tightening of a bolt. So it’s not very practical if you want to quickly tilt the monitor forward or back. Granted you probably won’t need to tilt it that often but still something to bear in mind.

Otherwise pretty straight forward to set up and it having space for two usb cables at the base is an added bonus (you’ll need your own usb c extender cables)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe item is of a good sturdy build. I did find the instructions a little confusing to look at in terms of assembly but we got there within 30-45 minutes. I was missing some screws as well but wasn’t a major issue as had some suitable ones lying around.

I was unsure where the gas part of the monitor was as it wasn’t immediately clear in the construction process. However it is in there as to my surprise my the arm returned to its original position with a small tap.

All in all a good product and has done exactly what I needed it for. The cable management are a nice touch too

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPros:
    Easy to assemble
    Good quality

    Cons:
The range of motion is quite limiting if you have larger monitors or if you want the monitors extended out over the desk especially if you have a deep desk.

I have a 24″ and 27″ monitor and they just barely fit with one vertical and the other horizontal because I want them closer to where I sit. If you extend the arms you lose a lot of motion.

If you have two 24″ or smaller monitors, you wil be fine and should buy this. If you have any bigger you should not buy this unless you sit very from your monitors or if your desk is very shallow. I would avoid completely if you have two 32″ screens as you will not be able to move them around at all without having one vertical.

Also, when you mount the stand to your desk, make sure you have it a fair bit to the left if you want your main monitor on the right or mount it to the right of your desk if you want your main monitor on the left.

Great product, sturdy and stable. Easy to install, though a little bit fiddly. Nice cable management included, easy to adjust the tension and provides plenty of space and adjustment for 2x 27″ monitors. Clears a lot of desk space too!

Was looking for a good, sturdy, adjustable dual monitor stand and this did the job perfectly. Simple to assemble, with an option to add a USB cable to the base. I fitted 2×24″ monitors, which had the smaller vesa mounting points on the rear which fit perfectly. The gas strut assist is excellent with adjustment depending on the weight of the monitors. Given the light weight of the monitors I used, there seems to be plenty of range to hold larger heavier monitors too. The range of motion from the arms suggests that there is enough range for side by side and under and over arrangement of monitors. The addition of the cable management on the arms is welcome too. Overall a great buy.

I have purchased quite a few of these monitor stands over the past two years, but have to say this one was the most easiest and straight forward one I have installed. From opening the box to following the instructions, it was so easy to set up and completed in about 5-10 minutes. Minimal extra components to screw or clip on as everything was in place and I just needed to put on the mount and the arms. Really good build quality and the tension for moving the monitors is strong and very smooth. A great buy for working from home.

Just need to get a longer cable to run down the arm and it will look incredibly flush. I think these are a must have for their flexibility in viewing angles and clearing desk space.

I have a 34″ ultra wide within the weight limit, and it fits a second 27″ landscape next to it (I choose to have it portrait – wasn’t a space issue).

Must have for improved viewing angles and clearing desk space

Purchased these to replace some ordinary monitor arms which weren’t doing a good job at holding a pair of 27″ monitors. The MX400 dual monitor arm is well worth the extra money and, to quote The Dogs Dad, they are ‘very very very marvellous’ and he is exceedingly happy with them.
Would recommend these to anyone using 27″ or larger monitors, there will be no more wonky screens or adjusting, they’ll stay where you put them.

This has completely changed how I work from home. My desk is clear so that I have more room for working on paper (I am a teacher, so there is lots of marking!). Having two mounted screens means that I have reduced back pain and neck pain as I can now position my screens exactly how I need them. The height of the arms is fixed, if you can move the monitor up and down I have not worked out how to do that yet! But you can move the arms to the left and right independently, and adjust the tilt of the monitors as needed. Best purchase to facilitate working from home I think I have made so far!

Really easy to get setup. I used the clamp method but you can also use the ‘through the desk’ method but that involves drilling the desk which wasn’t what I wanted for this setup. It’s holding two 27″ screen and it’s really easy to move them around.

This is a good value product, it looks great and has good cable management. The only negative for me was that setting the right height for the monitors was difficult due to the gas pressure adjustment as right at the point you wanted it, then they wouldn’t stay in the right position and kept moving no matter how much you fiddled with the adjusters.
Fixed this issue by clamping the base on something a little bit higher beinging the adjuster in range.

I bought these to try and de-clutter my desk from the bulk stands of my monitors. It comes with some small allen keys that can be used to adjust the ‘gas assistance’ from the arms. With a few rotations the arms move freely by hand whilst being sturdy and not drifting on their own. The ability to tilt the monitors as well means I can now have a semi-standing desk.

Something that wasn’t obvious from the pictures and description was how ‘through the desk’ mounting actually worked. My desk is against the wall…
It turns out it’s actually rather simple. The black ‘base’ sits on the desk, below it you drill a 10mm hole and then the kit includes a long thread that goes in the bottom as well as an oval washer and a butterfly nut. Simple and effective. This thread is surprisingly long – about 10cm – so it’d fit almost anything.

Be sure to leave enough room so the arms can rotate if they’re up against a wall. I found it was easier to attach the bottom pieces before tracing out the base and then drilling the middle.

    Review of MX400.
I’ve only one monitor fitted just now, a 32″ Prolite, (2nd monitor on order) and it handles it very well. The clamp holds onto the desk tightly and securely and the monitor is easily adjusted to the desired position – and it stays there. The only down side (and this was really my fault) is that it does not go up as high as I would have liked, so I should have gone for the MX900; that said, I have found a work-around for my problem and that is to add a couple of blocks of wood under the clamp to give it that little bit more height.

Review of MX400; easy to assemble.

It supports both of my montiors comfortably. Controlling can be stiff when moving vertically or adjusting tilt and if you desk backs onto a wall like mine you may struggle to get your monitors next to each other as the arm either needs to go back quite a bit or have your monitors halfway across your desk.

So, the positives. These are really easy to assemble, with clear instructions. Fitting to the desk is also a breeze, the clamp being easy to mount and holding the arms very securely. The height is good too, so I can now have my chair at the correct height so eyeline is inline with the top of the monitor. Previously with the standard stands fitted the monitors were too low.

The slight negative is actually getting them into a position you are happy with. I like my screens right next to each other, one at a slight angle into the corner (desk is in corner of room). This is hard to achieve due to the limited adjustability of the arms. The solution would maybe be for there to be a multiway head where it fits to the monitor or maybe making the arms extendible a bit? End result is I had to have both arms turned to the same direction, which allows the monitors to be next to each other, but one over laps the other slightly so can’t get exactly the viewing angles I’d like on them.

The quality is really good, feels like a substantial bit of kit. The price does seem a bit high though and there are other cheaper ones out there, but I can’t comment on whether they would be the same quality as these ones.

End result is would I buy these again. Simple answer is yes, absolutely. Maybe future versions of them will have the adjustability I mention, but these do look much neater than the standard monitor stands the screens come with, and offer a better viewing height.

I have a 27″ monitor and a 24″ monitor. The advantage of have two independent arms are that you can adjust the height of each individual monitor if their height dimension mismatch. The base of the stand is substantial and very secure and did not move once set up. Large enough to spread the load and not damage the desk. Very easy and quick to set up and adjust the arm tension for the weight of each monitor arm. This has freed up so much desk space. The quality and finish are excellent. I have recently joined the “working from home” demographic, which my wife was already a part of, and so we each bought identical 24-inch monitors to emulate our workplace comforts and maintain our productivity. With both our desks next to each other and already housing all our other IT equipment, we needed a monitor mounting solution that took up as little space as possible whilst providing maximum flexibility on how to position both monitors for both our advantage. This dual monitor arm presented the best solution, that was also the best value for money having just bought 2 new monitors!

Inside the box, you get a full compliment of screws and mounting hardware, as well as three sizes of Allan keys to adjust everything to your liking; the clear and concise instructions tell you how to install the arms and adjust all the screws. It’s worth studying the base/arms to note the locations of all adjustment screws before assembly, as you’ll may need to pull your desk away from the wall to get to some of the adjusting screws (which I didn’t do and it made the job more fiddly!)

The arms can be mounted either by bolting through the desk or by using the dual clamp which can be adjusted for any thickness of desk surface; all the clamping elements appeared to be made from nice thick solid metal. The base even had optional breakouts to fit a couple of USB extension cables if, for example, you wanted to bring some USB ports up from your under-desk PC! I have an on-desk USB hub, so I can’t comment on whether or not the breakouts would fit all USB cables, so I imagine this could be a trial and error thing.

The arms themselves come in two parts which fit to each other and the base with plastic swivel joints and are tightened by grub screws; tightening too much will lock the arms in a given position, so tighten the screws just enough to give just the right amount of resistance and prevent the arms being pulled out of the base. The bottom half of each arm is rigid whereas the top halves are pneumatically height adjustable, and both halves of each arm have plastic cable management clips on the underside to make everything neat and tidy.
It is the cable management that would be my biggest criticism of this product, as they seem quite flimsy or prone to breaking – especially on the top half of each arm. My monitors serve more than one computer as well as having integral speakers and USB hub, so I managed to squeeze a power cable, two data cables, 2 USB cables and an audio cable into the arm cable clips; however I had to compliment the top arm with cable ties to ensure the cable clips didn’t break or deform into uselessness after a couple of weeks.

The bi-jointed metal monitor mounts allow the monitors to be tilted upwards/downwards, as well as rotated, and can accommodate any monitor that conforms to the VESA mounting standard. The top two mounting holes are opened out to the edge of the mount so that you can initially hook the monitor on with the top two screws, and this will hold the monitor whilst you sort the bottom two screws; this may sound like a tiny feature, but it makes the mounting of the monitors so much easier when you don’t have to worry about supporting the monitor at the same time as eliminating the risk of cross-threading the mounting screws!

When adjusting the strength of the pneumatic height adjustment it’s worth noting that the adjustment screws don’t seem to lock the top arms in a fixed height no matter how much you tighten them; therefore the monitors will still move up/down if you accidentally knock them for example, which can be a little annoying if you don’t need to adjust your monitor frequently.

Overall, this product is of reasonably good quality and does the job well for it’s price; when considering that the next similar products start at over twice the price and can go into hundreds of pounds, this dual monitor arm mount is definitely quite a bargain!

I have two 27 inch monitors which were cluttering up the desk. I bought these because, although not the cheapest, they had very good reviews, looked very sturdy and there were no known issues with incompatibility with size/type of monitor (including weight). They were easy to set up although I had to use the droll through desk option because of my desk construction. Adjustments to the positioning of the arms was easy with supplied Allen keys, they are gas assisted which helps manoeuvrability and positioning and are they are sturdy. The acid test, though, is do they stay exactly how you position them? Yes. There has been no movement at all in over two weeks of use. Instructions are clear, the packaging is secure and provides good protection. I’m very glad I didn’t choose one of the cheaper because these are made to last and are a breeze to use. Great product.

Decent purchase for the price. Holds my 28in BenQ monitors without any issues. Chunky, sturdy and easy to assemble and clamp to a desk

Worth mentioning that the base of each arm is fixed vertically and will only rotate at the ‘shoulder’ – as such check the height for your desk. In order to raise these arms up or down, you have to rely on the elbow and wrist joints that essentially means bringing the screens closer to your face to get them lower.

    Good; Chunky; Sturdy

I’d say first I’m *terrible* at anything even remotely resembling DIY – but I had this attached to the desk and two 27″ screens mounted in around 15 minutes. Took around another 15 minutes to set the tension in the arms so everything moved smoothly, and all done.
Screens are really easily moved but also stay put when you want them to. Really happy with this and I can recommend it.

Great quality, easy to assemble mou

Easy assembly in minutes with few tools, sturdy so far looks like it will last, so far so good.

(Bought for 49.50) Brilliantly made, you can feel the quality straight away when you start to put it together. It is very easy to assemble and does the job perfectly, I couldn’t ask for anything more and would recommend over any other stand, it’s certainly worth the slight price gap over others on Amazon.

Bought this as had invested in a new desk set up. Desk is set up against a wall so very minimal space at the back of the desk. Set the mounts up (was quick and easy following the instructions) however once set up realised that in order to get the screens at the same height and angle, one of the arms has to protrude out the back. Had to return because of this however would’ve kept if I didn’t have this issue as the arms felt really sturdy

Really pleased with this. Not easy to tell from the listings which will be good and which not, but this ticks all the boxes: sturdy, adjustable, sensibly priced, good instructions, all tools included, clearly had thought put in to the design of the whole thing. No prior experience of monitor arms so nothing to compare to, but I can’t see you make it much cheaper than this (paid 60 for the dual arms) without compromising the quality somewhere.
Only star reduction is that some of the moving parts near the actual VESA bracket are plastic rather than metal, but no real cause for concern.

The stand is well packaged and easy to unpack and install. I am impressed with the sturdiness of the arms and the clamps. Having the right tools in the pack (3 Allen keys) is a particularly helpful bonus as it saves digging out tools.

Well adjusted, as described in the instruction booklet, screens can be easy moved around and they stay there. It certainly gives more space on the desk as well.

I like this monitor arm. It’s relatively easy to assemble, comes with plenty of different screws for mounting the moniors, and has the option of just clamping to the desk, or drilling through it.
The only slight downside for me was that trying to possition the monitors how I wanted with a wall behind my desk blocking the arms going back was a challenge, but I got there in the end.
    Overall, I’m very pleased.

This is the second Invision monitor arm I have bought, with this one suitable for two 27 inch monitors. Easy to set up and has a quality feel to it. Very robust. Highly recommended.

    Another great Invision produc

At this price – a very sturdy desk mount.
Easy to assemble and adjust for the weight of your monitors.

Bought to make a clean looking dual monitor setup, and it’s perfect for that. Has handy cable management to keep everything hidden.
Only slight issue I had was that one of my monitors (24inch) has an external power supply, therefore it’s quite light. This means that the gas assist on the lowest setting only just stays put, other than that it’s brilliant.

This is now the second Invision monitor arm I bought (the first being a single arm). When I bought a second monitor there was no other option and honestly I am so impressed. It’s also worth noting that their cable management system in this one is actually BETTER than the last one also. Much easier to access without needing any screws removed etc. HUGE FAN!

Great solution for 2 monitors on a small desk. Looks good, sturdy, easy to assemble and use.

Originally had 2 separate arms supporting 2 x 27″ monitors. Recently upgraded my main display to a 32″ and unfortunately was just a little too heavy for the arm, so decided to get a dual monitor arm supporting the size and weight requirements.

My previous monitor arms were Invision and great quality for the price, and the MX400 was exactly the same. High quality construction, smooth movement and very sturdy.

    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOK so I was of course skeptical about how sturdy this was as it has to hold the weight of 2 monitors. So I thought I’d bite the bullet and give it a go. I’m really pleased I did. So pleasantly surprised because not only does it easily and securely hold the weight of my 2 monitors, but it’s feels and looks good too. Solid and pleasing on the eye. I used the clamp version as I didn’t wish to ruin a brand new desk if I didn’t need to. And I definitely shouldn’t of worried. Highly recommend this. Definitely gives me a lot more desk space and looks neat and tidy. Basically…. the dogs boll**ks!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersPreviously had a single monitor arm from Invision that was okay, however found it to be quite unstable on my particular desk, which is about 40mm deep, an Ikea kitchen worktop repurposed as a desk. This version had two different attachment methods, either through the desk or clamping, of which I used the latter, and it works great. There is a space to put through some USB’s if you’d like some built directly into the stand.

You can swivel, rotate, lift and adjust to your hearts content, and can adjust how strong each joint is depending on your needs. I have quite a small monitor from work so require the left part to be quite soft, otherwise the monitor gets yeeted back up, but adjusting the strength means it stays exactly where I need it to. I currently have a 23″ and a 19″ so not the biggest monitors, but given the strength of the mechanism it should hold monitors much larger and heavier than this.

Assembles pretty easily, the newer design to attach the clamp is much better than the previous design, 3 types of allen keys are provided so you can adjust whatever you need to and it feels extremely sturdy on my desk.

I’ve only had it for a day so unable to speak for its long term effectiveness, but if it’s anything to go buy the previous Invision monitor arm I had, it will last a long time and doesn’t lose its effectiveness.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMounted 2 x 27 inch monitors to my desk, installation was pretty easy and instructions were clear. The VESA mounts needed to be rotated a bit to align them, probably just slightly wrong during original assembly, which meant taking apart some of the mounting arm, but that was straightforward enough. Great product all round.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWasn’t expecting the well designed and easy to install dual mount for this price. Goes together very easily and the flexibility of the gas powered mounts take your monitors to the next level. The 16cm wide base spreads the load nicely and I used a couple of sheets of perspex under the mount as I have a cheap, cardboard IKEA desk but this had the added benefit of refracting some of my led desk back lighting.

    Great new design!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am really impressed with this monitor arm. It did take a bit to set up, the instruction pictures are perhaps a bit too detailed but that could just be me.

The arms are really sturdy and are holding my 2 24″ monitors with ease, although they are pretty light. It’s really easy to move the monitors around to position them and there’s no drift when adjusting height as you can adjust the tension.

All in all a great buy this far and I would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was skeptical at first this was the third dual monitor arm we had purchased and about ready to give up!

I couldn’t be more happier with this item it was solid and sturdy even on a very small desk the arms held up the screens. It was so easy to put together and I love the attention to detail with the cable holders built in. The whole set up looks clean and tidy no wires in sight. Wish we had found this item sooner.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve been looking at purchasing a set of monitor arms for a while and then spotted these. I was immediately drawn to the dual clamp and the wide unit on the top of the desk rather than arms that come off a single pole.

The quality is brilliant, the gas system works perfectly and makes moving large monitors easy. Having 2x 27 inch monitors not on the desk makes life easy for when I need the desk.

    I cannot fault the product!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI have a two screen monitor set up at the office and I’m now working from home half the time so I decided to get a dual screen set up for my home office too. The one I use at work is the (cheaper) mechanical type and it does the job ok but I decided to spend a bit more a opt for this Invision gas assisted model. I did not regret it! I can move and tweak the position of my screens so easily and can even raise the height and stand up if I want. High quality product and clear instructions too. Very happy and well worth the extra cost. Im now thinking how I can get my office setup upgraded too
