☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Love this Mop bucket.
Used with the Pine Pellets. No mess, no smell.
Easy to clean.
Definitely will buy more.
(Hate the enclosed Cat litter trays)
Good for nervous cats
I was a bit sceptical at first but I bought this as one of my cats likes to hide to wee. She was doing it on the floor to avoid people at night but now she uses this as she can hide whilst using this litter tray.
Unlike the run of the mill litter tray it’s very difficult for cat to scrap out all the litte
I love this litter tray even if I did have to educate some of the cats how to use it. Once they have got the hang of it, brilliant.
The best thing about this tray is I have several over zealous scratchers who shoot litter all over the place with normal open top trays or manage to flip them over after using
The biggest bonus is our little Jack Russell can’t empty the content as he can’t get his shoulders in to reach the bottom. He used to raid both the open trays and the more regular covered trays which meant we couldn’t leave a litter tray anywhere he could get to it. Having more than a dozen cats who come indoors it mean we can leave litter trays in places we never could before
Perfect for the cats
This is a nice deep liter box with a perforated lid meant to knock the dust off of the kittens paws as they exit the box. Because it’s contained it keeps the stinky down. The only thing that would make this better would be sturdy liners designed to fit the box. As it is I’m using bin liners which works fine but isn’t as tidy as I would enjoy.
Really good litter tray
I was after a product that was discreet and didn’t scream “I’m a litter box”. When this arrived I was a little thrown by the size, but I gave it a chance after reading other reviews and I love it. Cats used it instantly, much less litter is getting tracked around (One of them is a sphynx and the litter gets stuck right inbetween her pads!) She also prefers privacy when she goes to the toilet and if you interrupt her she’ll stop what she’s doing and run away. She seems to be happier and less stressed now we use this tray and seems to feel more relaxed. Reasonable odour control and it just looks like a tub or mop bucket. Really happy with the product!
5 stars
I have ordered the item, as I had to clean a lot of mess, after my cat was using his litter and I asked advice from a social media group and I have been recommended to buy this type of litter box. It was the best decision I made regarding cat stuffs. No mess anymore. My cat instantly known what is this for, after I put him in. He used it within a couple minutes. I’m very happy, I recommend the product to everyone. I have a Ragdoll, it is big enough for him, I’m not sure about Maine Coons.
Very good
A very good and disguised product. I’ve had the product almost a month , I was weary at first whether the cats would use it but after picking one up and placing them inside , they soon did their business and use it regularly! Easy to clean , disguised. I’ve had guests over who think it’s a mop bucket! It keeps the smell inside the unit , easy to empty , just detach the lid and empty into the bed. It comes with a scoop which is a nice touch.
Keeps most of the litter in the box
I used to have a normal open litter tray (see tray on right in pic). Unfortunately the cat used to end up kicking litter out of it. Now I use this litter box and i’m not having to clean up as much. Some litter does come out on to the lid but that tends to be the litter trapped in her feet. She’s not able to kick any litter out of this. I’m very happy with this litter box. It does look nice and works well. I would recommend this.
Great buy
Great product looks super stylish in our guest bathroom which is solely used by our pampered puss.
It took a while a for our cat to actually use it so recommend removing the lid so they can sit & get used to it before they use it,
Super easy to clean, highly recommend
Best product and so cheap! A must for any new cat owner like myself!
You have to get this it’s literally a life saver! Reduces mess and the cat literally loves it!
Great litter tray
Cats took to it straight away and see to go to this one over the other litter boxes we have. It also looks nicer than the usual littler box. I will gradually replace my others with this I think
Get it you won't regret i
Best litter tray every cat went in first time no mess buying another for upstairs
Good cat litter tray
Great cat litter box that I bought for my two kittens. They are able to jump in and out easily and it reduces the amount of litter around the house. Although, not completely. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the you can’t get the scooper onto the hook properly without it hanging at an angle.
Great - no more litter everwhere
Great, probably too big for a 9 week old kitten but he’ll grow into it. He used it straight away and so much better than the tray he’d been using. No more litter scattered all over the kitchen floor! No trouble with jumping in and out either and will perfect as he gets bigger. Ideal!
Just as it looks, best litter tray eve
My cats had tray with lid and door but just stood in it and weed and wee would come out of door!
This is great.
I use with corn cat litter and extra large tray line
Good produc
Good product. I liked it, as it looked aesthetically pleasing. The cat however didn’t seem pleased with it. Unfortunately have to send it back.
Brillia
This cat litter tray is great if you don’t want cat litter strewn about the floor. The perforated lid means the majority of bits stuck to the cat’s feet fall back into the litter. I assumed that the scoop that comes with it would be rubbish so I had bought a bigger one. It has turned out to be excellent. I prefer it to the one I got to replace it. The only thing I would say is that the hook to hang the scoop on isn’t designed well, and my kitten just ends up playing with it anyway, so I keep the thing in a pot next to the litter.
Good purchase but not perfect.
I’ve alway had front access covered trays with swing doors. I liked the look of this and really liked the idea of top entry. I have a small kitten and thought he’d need a ladder, but no. He took to it immediately, hopping in and out with no problem at all. It looks good, it’s easy to clean and you do actually get no trail of litter. You do still have a partially open tray which is the downside. Also, who came up with the idea that bad smells stop after traveling upward 30cm? If you’re skeptical about this point, you should be.
Great litter box
When my boys used the litter trays , not only was their constant grit or wood chip on the floor but they were also lifting their bum up as in spraying up the box. I used the covered ones with swing door, The urine was leaking out the joins in my original box.
So thought I’d try this. I only bought one as wasn’t sure how it would go with the cats,. They used it instantly I’ve noticed the difference in the 4 days I’ve had it, so happy I’m about to order another & throw out my original two.
Fab looking litter tray
Everyone is fascinated by the litter tray, which is a far better place to be than grossed out by a normal open one! It’s just not immediately obvious what it is.
We’ve got two kittens, one took to it very quickly and the other has needed some coaxing but they are both now using it.
The lid is easy to remove and scoop within the bucket, but we do use a second try to scoop into as the overall box is far too heavy to carry to the toilet directly.
There is still some litter finding its way out of the box, but nothing by comparison to the traditional tray which gets half emptied before they’ve even began doing their business!
As for limiting smells, I’m not sure anything does really.
I’d certainly buy anothe
Well made, works well but a little too expensive!
One of our cats has the tendency to spread his litter far & wide using a standard tray so I bought this! It is well made, good quality and works well. No problem in him using it at all. However, I do believe it is a little expensive!
My 11 year old cat started to poop in front of his old litter tray,I tried front entry litter boxes before but he refused to use it and would still poop on the floor and get lots of the litter on the bathroom floor.
I gave it another try with this one and I can’t believe it worked,6 days now and he used it for both pee and poop daily.
To get him used to it ,I did put this new one next to the old one and had both in the bathroom for a week, after a week got some litter from the old one and dumped it in the new one(top entry) and no issues ,he used it from day one ,I think he likes that no one can see him:)).
Would recommend it to anyone who has the patience to do the transition slowly cuz cats don’t react well to change and might refuse it without the slow introduction.
Overall great product, great quality ,lid stays on when cat jumps out of it.
Great purchase;
Very happy with the purchase; easy to clean and the cat loves it; really makes a difference as the lid cleans the paws so no mess around;)
Stops kitty litter being kicked litte
Wasn’t sure about this, but our cat tends to kick litter out of her box so thought it was worth a shot. Works a treat – cat seems happy enough with it and she can’t kick anything out of it. Easy to clean (it’s just a bucket really) and the scoop and its bracket is useful.
Good top entry litter tray
There’s not a great deal to say about a covered litter tray. If your cat prefers that type, this is a good one. The hole is big enough for most cats to get in and out easily and it’s deep enough to keep the cats happy. The only thing I would say against it is that it’s slightly fiddly to take the lid off to clean, unlike some of the hinged top-entry litter trays. But overall, a good litter tray.
Cat little box
Perfect for my cat and reduces the litter than he finds so fun to kick all over the place
Very good!
Very good! Cat figured it out in less than a a day and it did a good job of reducing litter getting all over the place
Worth i
This is the perfect litter tray as no litter gets dragged around my flat. My kitten jumped in after I showed him where it was and have had no problems at all
Does the job!
My cat was hesitant at first, but I put her normal litter in and left the top off at first and she got used to it within a week or so. Does the job, pretty sturdy and easy to take apart and clean.
Love the purchase!
My kitten is just over 2 months old and she can manage to jump in and out, the main point is that there will be so much less litter spills out because it’s deep and helps to cover some smell as well! Easy to clean and looks fancy!
We bought these for our four cats as we adopted a dog who was a big fan of the cat poop buffet. Old or fresh, no poop was safe from our dog. There was litter all over the house, and the dog was snacking on cat Mars bars on the sofa in front of company. It had to stop.
Since we purchased these, the buffet is CLOSED. Our little half Chihuahua, half Frenchie can no longer access the forbidden fruits. Litter tracking is massively reduced. The cats are happy, and adapted to the change admirably. The dog is fuming and wants access to poop. Well worth the money.
Absolute lifesave
My recently adopted female cat always managed to stand in the litter tray then pee out of it. I was cleaning pee off the floor up to three times a day. I got this litter box as a last resort and I’m so glad I did. It’s tall so I was worried that my cat (eleven years old) wouldn’t want to jump onto it however after the encouragement of treats she knew where the litter was hiding and used it first time. I could have thrown a party. We’re a much happier household now.
To line it I use a large litter tray liner and tape the liner to the inside walls.
As the box is covered it looks nicer than an open tray too.
Amazing produc
Amazing cat litter tray! Honestly it only has advantages:
– 80-85% (approximately) reduction in litter residue usually left outside the box by my cat (as you can see in the pictures, the residue is caught on the top lid)
– super easy to clean because the litter tray has a special kind of coating
– aesthetically pleasing
Totally worth it!
Cat litter box
It minimize the litter mess for sure. Our cat is a messy dude but this tray reduces about 80% of the problem.
I was bit worried in the beginning of my cat not being interested, but my cat immediately knew how to use it and liked it!
Pros:
*reduce the mess on the floor
*reduce the smell
*smart design and aesthetically pleasing
*works amazingly for cats
Cons:
*still some of the litter gets on the floor but significantly less than with a regular litter tray
*it’s quite hard to clean it as the thing is so big and every time I want to replace the litter, it miss the bag and it gets everywhere on the floor
Overall, my cat loved it. Me too
Brillia
Happy with the cat litter tray an the main thing is the cats are too thank you
Great litter box & clever desig
Really impressed with this litter box and the design. We have 2 cats and they both instantly took to it…I actually think they use this one more than the other normal box we have. The lid captures a lot of litter from their paws and it also helps contain the smell which is a massive bonus! Highly recommend.
Perfect for my messy ca
I have a very messy cat who always kicks litter everywhere and sometimes “goes” over the edge of normal litter trays. This has fixed that problem completely. And mess stays inside, and the cat seems to like the privacy and plenty of room to dig. It’s not the sturdiest construction and there’s a knack to getting the lid on and off. But it’s great and I wouldn’t swap for any other litter tray now.
We have had so much trouble getting our kitten to use a standard litter tray, it became a nightmare. So I ordered a few different types and trialed them out.
This absolutely nailed it, almost immediately he got it. Initially he got scared going in, but he soon realised and its become the go to litter box.
So grateful to have found this
Roomy
Way bigger than I expected but great for my chunky girl. Not used it yet but hoping it keeps the smell down – the entrance is quite big but this makes cleaning easie
Bigger than a mop bucke
Brilliant cat litter toilet.
Bigger than a mop bucket, so have that in mind.
Easy to use.
Does look like a mop bucket, but much more attractive than open litter tray. Took to it straight away, but still uses traditional style as well.
Best purchase of 2021
I’m so happy with it! It’s just ok to clean, but best part is that litter isn’t littering any more I’m just upset I didn’t know about it earlier! It took couple of attempts for my cat to start using it, but now it’s all good and literally nothing but my cat gets out. It’s quite big, but just about to be big enough for my cat. It looks quite good too!
I am really pleased I ordered this. When we first opened the box we had to laugh as it looks like a mop bucket for a really large person! However I really like that it is large, simple, study and easy to clean – no fiddly bits. The cats took to it straight away too. The only negative point is the scoop which isn’t very food and doesn’t hang on the hook well. I’m just using my old scoop instead.
Ingenious, easy to maintain cat litter box
We recently got a kitten and needed an extra litter box. So pleased to have found this design, it’s ingenious! Our kitten took to it straight away, as did our 5 year old cat. It’s nice and spacious and very private for them. They easily climb in and out of it and it has definitely reduced the amount of litter being walked through the house. It’s a lot easier to empty than our other covered litter trays and the sleek design makes it very easy to clean. It comes with a handy scoop which hangs off the side. It has also stopped our dog from getting at it too, which she is prone to do! It is pricey but worth it, I’m now saving up to replace the other trays we have!
I been usted it for 3 days and i love it!
I didn’t see anymore cat litter on the floor.
Is really big like you can see on my pic comparated with my hand.
Is perfect size for me.
Great purchase
My 3 month old kitten took to the open top litter box straight away. It is big but worth it for the enclosed litter, much less tracking of litter and my kitten seems to enjoy the privacy it gives her. I can’t say it really stops the smell but we scoop it up straight away any so doesn’t matter to us. Cleaning is easy. The scoop doesn’t really sit on the hook that well but i just slot it behind it.
We previously had a front entry covered cat litter box for our growing kitten, even with the flap door with all his digging and coming off his feet there would be a constant mess of litter on the floor. This top entry litter box does look like a giant mop bucket, however there is no mess! We customised it even further by putting the lid from the old box on top of it (to prevent the smell because the top doesn’t have a door), I was worried he wouldn’t be able to figure out how to jump up through the door but within minutes he was in there doing his business. Yes it doesn’t look pretty, but no more litter mess on the floor so the mission was a complete success 🙂
Decent for the money.
Works as required, but the tolerances on the mould aren’t great, and there are a few sharp edges.
This is our second one. They are absolutely perfect. Very easy to clea
This is one of the best litter trays I have bought. (I have bought lots, hooded, with sifters, I even considered a fully automatic one ) I have 4 furballs and have spent the last 18 months trying to work out the best litter and trays to stop the mess.
I was hoovering everywhere daily as my bundles of joy love to dig and kick. This tray has made all the difference. I have just ordered my 3rd one as 27 a go is a bit steep for replacing all my existing trays at once. (But so worth it)
I use the Almo Nature cat litter (you have to use it exactly as it says on the pack), scoop twice a day and wash the trays once a week. I still use my cat litter mats to catch the odd sandy grain from their paws.
COMPLETE LIFE CHANGER practically no litter on the floor at all.
The only way to improve on this would be to teach my babies to use the toilet. Not sure I am that brave, but who knows.
I would highly recommend this tray, with the Almo Nature cat litte
Best litter tray ye
This is great, nice size, I have two indoor cats who use this constantly. Very sturdy, love the fact that all the litter stays in the box. Very pleased would recommend
Brillia
Arrived day after ordering. The product is larger than expected and very well made. It’s remarkably unobtrusive – doesn’t look anything like a litter box, more like a big (black) bucket with a lid that’s just been set down. It takes a good deep layer of litter and my cat jumped in and christened without any fuss not long after I set it up in place of the old tray. Excellent product – would happily recommend.
Good for the money
I brought this as my cat loves to scatter with this she can no longer do it no more mess. Only problem is I have to empty into a normal size litter tray to clean.
Great for cat, doesn’t prevent dog
I bought to try & prevent dog getting at litter but hole in top is big enough & size shallow enough for dog to get head in & eat still so I’ve now put it on the box it came in!
Cat quite enjoys the size & privacy of it & didn’t mind changing from kitten tray.
I was a bit unsure to buy it, what if my cat wouldn’t like it.
We had an open cat litter tray that our kitty loved scraping the litter out. We needed to clean it around the tray daily so needed a better litter tray.
Since then there’s no mess around the tray! At all!
Our kitty was unsure at first but soon she figured out how to use her new ‘toilet’. Very happy with the product all around.
It looks massive, bigger than expected, a bit harder to clean than an open litter trays.
Our kitty is 10 month old, for smaller kittens it might be more challenging to get in and out. I could easily house bigger cats imo.
Price is ok, cheaper than some other brands with similar design.
Fantastic desig
This is the best cat litter tray I have ever used. Easy to clean, hides the view of cat . Also stops the dog investigating the contents and prevents litter being kicked everywhere. It also looks nice and not obviously a litter tray. Very sturdy and I would highly recommend.
Wow, just wow ! Just what I needed for my cat. She adapted to this new top entry cat litter super quickly, no hesitations. There was no litter around after use what made me think that my cat was not getting in. Surprisingly, there was no residue around because the top entry design is great!
Really really happy. Also, there is way less smell than before (was using the traditional cat litters).
This litter box is really good. We were worried our new kitten wouldn’t be able to jump into it but at 12 weeks she managed it and has been fine ever since.
The top cover is easy to take off and with the deep shape and the lid it contains almost all of the mess. We have not had any problem with litter spilling out.
It’s also the least ugly cat litter box we could find. Would be even better if it was more of a rectangular/squared off shape rather than the oval, so it fitted against the wall better. Would buy another if the manufacturer made one like that!
Deep, sturdy, reduces mess
As-advertised. My small cat had no problem using it, and less pebbles left around the litterbox. It’s discreet except when you’re standing upright (can see inside). Well-made – I like the locking mechanism and the carrying handle. Great litterbox – would recommend!
Cats use it happily and it doesn't leak if they aim badly
Unlike low sided litter trays, this is great if your cat has poor aim. They don’t seem to mind having to jump out and i
Good quality
We needed a new litter tray that would keep the litter in… This has definitely done the job! I wasn’t sure if our cat would like it because he’s only ever had a small kitten tray but he loves it! It is a little bigger than I thought but it’s a good size for a fully grown cat. The quality is good and it feels like it would last us a very long time.
Fantastic litter tray
Very pleased, the litter tray is not too big but big enough. It looks pleasant in the bathroom & has helped stop the cat getting litter everywhere which was the main reason for purchasing. It arrived very quickly & was as described
I originally had an open litter box and my cat would always be tracking litter everywhere. I thought an open top litter tray might be the solution and it definitely was, there’s practically no litter tracking from this! Easy to clean I just stick it in the bath and give it a scrub and rinse. The litter tray does not cover up smell on its own but if your cat covers his business and you have decent litter it is fine. Mine seems to think scratching the walls of this is sufficient for burying his so I often have to do that myself! My cat took to using this straight away but was a young kitten when we first got it. I love the fact it doesn’t look like a normal litter tray, but I may look into modifying some furniture to place it in so it blends in nicer and contains the smell from his uncovered business! P.S. the box it comes in is really big and exciting for your cat!
Worth the cost- less mess and easy clean up!
One of my cats dislikes enclosed litter boxes but happily uses this as she can easily hop out when finished. They are rather large but this means even plus-size kitties can use them with ease.
Plus, very little litter finds its way out onto the floor.
Tip – use dustbin bags as liners to make emptying even easier!
So glad I stumbled upon this brand as now I don’t need to sweep up several times a day!
The best litter tray I’ve used
Made with really good quality plastic, nice design that doesn’t stick out to much in a living room and helps keep mess and smells down!
Nice tray
It’s a lot more attractive than most litter trays and the top entrance means all the litter stays inside. It is tricky to empty because of its size and can smell more quickly because the opening has no door but as long as its kept clean it is loads better than most hooded trays.
Good desig
A bit expensive, but very good design, worth it. useful and practical. my cat likes it. it looks modern and tide.
Cat Loved i
Cat loves this, she actually hardly uses her other one now and there is no more tracking cat litter everywhere 🙂
Highly recommend. No more litter on the floor!
A really good quality, sturdy litter tray. I was worried that my cat wouldn’t know how to use it, but we put in some used litter to be sure and he had no problems. It’s quite a large tray too, so works fine for larger cats. It’s much easier to clean than the usual shaped litter tray and has stopped my cat from getting loads of litter everywhere after using it, as it all collects onto the lid. Highly recommend.
Ideal
Only issue is its more difficult to empty and clean than other litter trays, but this is a small issue on the larger scale of things as it prevents my dogs having snacks on cat pooh….
Stops our two year old Pug
eating kitten dung
Worth its weight in gold
Fantastic litter box which my 13 week kitten instantly took to from a small standard tray litter.
Fits well with home decor, smart and absolutely NO litter tracking what so ever.
Size wise, perfect for when my cat grows.
You won’t be disappointed.
Looks stylish
Difficult to clean but the cats love it and it looks good in the kitchen you wouldn’t know it was a litter tray
Practical with nice desig
Rather pricey, but does the job, looks nice. And kitten loves it!
Greta Value For Money
Great value for money. Best one my cats have used so far and less mess with cat litte
Good stuff
Great cat litter box, a bit more expensive than I’d normally buy but it seems to be doing the trick. My cats both started using it instantly and it’s helped with litter mess, not with smell though. Looks like a mop bucket but better than the alternative open litter tray
Really helps prevent litter flinging
Cats adjusted quickly to hopping in and out. A few grains of litter here and there do get tracked out but it’s nothing compared to how bad it was w/ open litter trays, even the ones with the raised rims. No door mechanism for the cats to get trapped in. The little hook for the scoop is a nice touch.
Very good looking sturdy box but it’s just huge! Decided it’s not for me and returned, as in reality it’s not nice looking at a box with an opening at the top nearly the size of a child’s toilet seat. Prefer a more discrete side flap-door option 😉
Fantastic huge
Perfect. A little hard to remove lid, but that is a benefit. Huge.
I absolutely LOVE this litter box!! So much so, that I bought another one! I have two cats, two boxes, and they’re absolutely perfect. The litter is totally contained. The grooves on the top help get excess dust off the cats feet. The box is discreet, really snazzy – so much better than an open tray, or the hooded ones you can get. I know it might sound a bit dramatic, but I do absolutely love these, and I highly recommend them!! I’ve seen some really nice litter boxes for a LOT of money, but these don’t break the back. Excellent!!
Best purchases ever!! My kitten loves it, took 2 min to get used to it and most importantly no more litter being kicked around my house! Winner!
Very cat friendly and sturdy
My cat took to it straight away, which was a relief as our most recent dog developed a nasty habit of raiding the regular litter tray!!!
This one has him outwitted…… So far!
I didn’t know what they would make of this when I bought it, as they (and I) have only ever had regular covered litter trays previously. But, now I have one, they use this in preference to the regular one. It does help with litter spreading too.
Like another reviewer said, it does look a bit like a mop bucket, but it’s growing on me aesthetically and if it keeps the cats clean and happy then I am happy.
GREAT value for money, seller efficient with great comms and on time delivery.
Perfect size, no more litter everywhere in the house! Only took my cats minutes to get used to the hop-in door; and they’re not the brightest!
The bes
I’ve tried several trays and this is by far the best. Little mess and easy to rinse out and disinfect. Top entry is the way forward!
Excellent litter tray. Doesn’t spread the smell at all, so you barely know the business was done. But the edges with the corner on top made it harder to clean.
Excellent for the litter flickers and cats that love to pee standing up!
My two cats are a mixture of 1) love to flick litter everywhere and 2) likes to pee standing… this is the ultimate toilet. They took interest in it right away and there is barely any mess after jumping out. I may end up buying another one because it is just that good and super easy to clean.
5 stars
my cat loves it! it really helps to keep surrounding clean. I didn’t get the scoop with the delivery…. but still 5 stars 🙂
I’ve literally just took delivery, but i already have this but in a different colour, this is a second purchase. I need deep trays as i have 3 cats that get litter everywhere. I think they are digging for gold! Its 10 more expensive than where i bought my other one, but i needed one day delivery, so opted to pay the higher price, plus my other is cream, so maybe that’s why. I prefer it to the modkat which is a lot more expensive. Its lightweight easy to clean. I just change it, quick disinfectant wipe out with kitchen roll and I’m done. There are no awkward corners as its round, and the plastic doesnt stain or smell, like some do.
After 3 weeks, he has accepted it.
Our 2 yr old cat has had this tray available to him for a month. He really liked the big box it came in, in fact we have kept that for him to play in. He initially investigated the new litter box before it was filled with litter but was reluctant to go inside again afterwards, and only sniffed around the outside a few times or sat on top of the box or used it as a step to climb higher. I checked it regularly but there was no sign of use for nearly 3 weeks Then it happened, and he has been using it along with his other litter tray in equal amounts. I am confident if i removed the old tray, he would not have a problem with the new one.
From my perspective, It contains the litter scatter better, but is not so easy to identify when needs cleaned.
I like it better as it is not so obviously a cat toilet and i think it is priced right for value and quality.
Less stray litter, my cats like it.
This is a top entry cat litter tray. If you own a cat that has been used to using a side entry littery tray you might struggle to get them to get used to using this tray. I would recommend you use this kind of tray from an as early age as possible. Our kittens didn’t seem to have an issue using this tray. We first left it out in the living room (without any litter, just for them to play with) and they were intrigued and went inside straight away. After that, we filled it with litter and they were quite happy to use it straight away. I find these top entry trays so much better as there is so much less stray litter. Once your cat is done they will jump out, onto the top of the tray. The top has holes in it, this will let any litter from the cat’s paws back into the tray. Of course, if you have a very excited cat they might jump straight over the top, out of the tray and you will still have a bit of stray litter. But this definitely reduces the amount of litter I find on the floor.
This tray also comes with a little scoop (and hook to hang the scoop up on the outside of the tray) to help you scoop out any cat poos.
My cat refused to use it!
Iris Ohyama Top Entry Cat Litter Box Black, Grey, One Size.
This is a great way to prevent cat litter been scattered everywhere but my cat refused to used it! She normally uses a trixie litter tray with no issues apart from abit of cat litter scattered .
Shes 12 years old , I even put it at the bottom of the stairs to make it easier for her access but no ….. there was no way she was going to use it! It reminds me of a nop bucket for some reason ha ha. It’s very sturdy and well made , it comes with a litter scoop that hangs on the end so you dont loose it.
It’s too expensive tho at nearly 30, my trixie litter tray was about 7 from amazon and my cat uses it.
Cat's used it for defacation, smell seems reduced.
We have 3 cats and we normally have 2 cat litter trays next door to each another, so this was the perfect chance to see if the cats would use this one. The answer is yes, they seem to be quite happy to hop into one and to the other without restriction, which surprised me, given the more mop bucket style of this cat litter tray. It has the added bonus of the cat doesn’t miss in this one however. I have noticed that the cats prefer to defecate in this one more and urinate in the other cat litter tray. I also feel that the smell appears reduced from this, although I’m not sure why. All in all, I am quite pleased with it, although I’m not sure it’s going to be as easy to clean it out as the tray, as the height of the bin won’t easily fit under some taps.
This is a privacy box for your kitten/cat to be able to use the bathroom without an audience. The added bonus for me is the dogs cannot get at the litter as they like to investigate. This is a top entry litter box made from sturdy plastic but as yet the cat has not appeared interested, so I am hoping she will take to it soon. I like that it is designed with holes in the lid to drop litter back into bucket as cat leaves box which should help avoid dispersal of kitty litter all over house. The bucket is similar shape to a mop bucket but on a much larger scale made from sturdy plastic. It is great for inside the house as it hides the unsightly litter from showing. There is also a hook on side of bucket to hang your scooper. Here’s hoping with time the cat will start to use but so far I’m impressed with design and idea at least. However I’m not sure I would pay 30.59 for it.
My cats have always had an enclosed tray with a front opening, but after I saw a top opening one in use I started to check them out. This one does look a bit like a mop bucket, but that aside I wanted one where my cat wouldn’t have to sit with his head out of the top hole. This is one of the tallest “top entry” ones available check 1. It needed to have a lid that was textured/holey to take the loose litter off his feet on the way out check 2. And finally I wanted it to be easy to clean – well here it came a bit unstuck – yes I can lift the solids with the scoop, but its wood pellets he likes and they don’t make it easy to lift the wet stuff. So its a case of just putting a small amount of litter in and emptying the whole think every few days. I left down the old and new trays as I had two cats at the time and didn’t want them going elsewhere if I took away the front loader, but neither of them would even go look. After his brother died, I even ended up putting my remaining cat in through the hole to show him what it was. It still took him nearly 3 weeks (he is 16 after all) to actually use it, but the result has been very little litter carried onto the floor and yes the top loosens it from his feet. I can’t say the odour is less, but hey 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. Really would recommend this tray to reduce the litter spreading.
After having tried several litter trays of various design I went with this one as we had a puppy in the house, solves the problem of a nosey puppy!!!
Grea
Easy to use
Cats love it
Best litter tray I have bough
This is a lot more expensive than we’d usually expect to pay for a cat litter tray but it is so worth it. We thought the cats might struggle to figure it out at first, especially our older girl, but they took no time at all to learn how to use it. Open cat litter trays can be so unsightly and this completely solves that problem as well as reducing any smell. But most importantly our two don’t scatter litter stones all over the floor anymore. Plus they have a bit of privacy when they go to the loo! Great product and we’d highly recommend it.
Great product cheap and well made
Its big and ugly but it does a great job, buy i
