An amazing product for such decent price!
I’ve a long history of buying and returning earbuds. These are the best I’ve used so far and I’m not planning to give them back.
The noise cancellation is extremely good and you can also manage the level of this. The earbuds also hold up remarkably well to my ear even if I’m running, jumping or doing any sort of high intensity training. The sounds quality is also impressive; I can hear the bass really well and enjoy the music with surrounding sound functions. Really recommend getting familiar with the app to male the most of the different features.
I’m only rating four stars because the batery is short and you’ll have to charge it every day (not bothered to be honest), and sometimes more than once if you ise it too much, but it’s actually an amazing product.
I’m very happy with my Jabra <3.
Very impressed
Very impressed. These are my first ear buds, bought after reading customer reviews and comparing similar products. I’m very pleased chose these – comfy to wear, good sound and excellent noise cancellation. Extremely pleased they the quality they are – ear buds, safely in their charging box.. unfortunately fell out of my pocket into a cup of boiling water ( cup was on the floor, i was getting onto sofa….. ) i feared it would cause irrepairable damage, instantly dried them, put all parts in a bowl of rice in a warm place – and they are fully recovered. Am I pleased
Great headphones
Had these for a couple of weeks now, so they’ve been tested on several runs. Sound quality is very good, but at first seemed disappointing, then I switched to the larger earbuds and there was a massive improvement. Fit and comfort is great, I’ve ran for up to 2 hours and not noticed any discomfort. One fell out once, but that was due to me not securing it properly, do these really do stay in. Battery life is as advertised, after a 2 hour run I have approximately 60% left. I was dubious about true wireless but these are well worth it.
Nice for commuting
Good quality & sound, only wish the battery lasted a bit longe
They stay in!
Like many fitness goers, I have tried many different sorts of headphones. From the standard wired, to the semi-wireless Bluetooth, to the true wireless (like these). These are the best at staying in. Straight out of the box, they fitted, though they do have multiple buds to try. I have ran in them, gymed and bur-peed and sit upped, and they don;t budge. It’s a nice feeling when your’e out and about, turning your head and not worrying about them coming out or an annoying bit of wire at the back of your head.
Sound is brilliant, makes a huge difference. Yes, they are quite expensive. I spent weeks reading reviews, and these always came in the top 10 – Only trumped now as there is a newer version, 75t. For someone that exercises 4 or 5 times a week, I can justify paying the money for these. Highly recommend.
(Great little charging box, connect quickly, auto switch off, look good too!)
Great sound quality, great earphones
I really love using these earphones, as the sound quality is so much better than my previous ones. I love being able to work out without getting tangled up in wires, and I discovered that because you can connect to Amazon Alexa using these earphones, I can get workouts by the Body Coach through them (which I find just like having Joe Wicks as my personal trainer!). I also use them at work, so switching on the “hear through” function is great because I don’t have to switch off my music to hear my colleagues. The app is really useful and user friendly. I played around with it a bit and discovered they have all kinds of soothing background noises – I particularly liked their ‘cavern’ sounds. The battery lasts a really long time and the charging carry case is the perfect size to slip into my handbag. There is also a feature which allows you to see on the map where you last took out the earphones – handy if you can’t find them! I am really glad that I purchased these earphones.
Almost 5 stars
I would love to give these 5 stars, but you’ll see why I had to settle for 4. In most respects, they are excellent earbuds.
Here are the positives:
* Well built and design is decent – not trying to be too trendy or cool, an understated modern look that is classy without drawing attention to yourself!
* Super easy to wirelessly connect and pair with my phone, and my connection never dropped during trials
* Sound quality is very good, with ideal balance. You get good bass and impressive noise isolation.
* Microphone is very good
* Battery life is fantastic, and the charging case works brilliantly
* Alexa is built in, which provides various useful features and works really well
* The Jabra Sound+ app is very good, allowing various customisations to the earbuds’ settings, including an equaliser, as well as firmware updates
* Some great features, such as when you remove an earbud your music pauses – great if you need to quickly hear something, and the music restarts when you put the earbud back in.
2 year warranty is reassuring
And the negatives:
* The charging case is a nightmare to open! It’s great that the earbuds are very secure inside it, but it really shouldn’t be so fiendishly difficult to crack it open. Also, the charging case has a Micro-USB port, whereas most devices now use USB-C. Not a big issue, but means having to remember to take the right lead when I go away for a few days.
* The earbuds come with 3 eartips. For me, I couldn’t decide between 2 of them which was the best fit. Either was perfectly comfortable when sat still. However, I never felt that I could fully trust them not to fall out when running.
* A similar issue with changing the volume or moving between tracks – for these tasks, you have to press or long press one of the two raised notches on the left earbud button. When you’re running, it’s not that easy to do, and I tended to dislodge the earbud while trying to do it.
The lack of confidence I had in the earbuds staying put when running is a deal-breaker for me sadly. I’m sure this must just be the shape of my inner ear, and most people will be OK with them. They move out of my ear slightly over time while running, such that the sound quality was affected, and they just felt like they might drop out any moment. They never actually did drop out, but I was cautious in my activity because of the feeling, so I couldn’t quite be myself on a trail run, for example.
Amazing Sports Earbuds
I was instantly impressed with the premium quality of the sound and the build of the Jabra Elita Active 65t earbuds.
Upon receiving my Jabra earbuds I downloaded the Jabra Sound+ app to my smartphone. Pairing the Bluetooth was effortless and the app really is the heart of customising the earbuds. The app allows you to control the equalizer, bass and overall sound. If commuting, studying or exercising there is a mode in the app to get the best sound from your earbuds.
The earbuds themselves are a snug fit and have always stayed in place when using them for cycling, walking or jogging. These are the perfect earbuds to use when exercising as they just seem to stay in place and offer amazing consistent quality sound.
These earbuds boast a battery life of 5 hours on a single charge (up to 15 hours if used with the charging case). I haven’t actually used them constantly for 5 hours so I can’t verify this fact but they charge quickly when placed in the charging case. The charging case is small and designed to fit in your pocket or the palm of your hand. The only disappointing feature of the charging case would be the lack of wireless charging.
The integrated motion sensor is a great battery saving feature. The Jabra earbuds come with an AutoPause feature that instantly pauses the sound when removing one earbud. The earbuds also have an AutoPower off feature. One downside if you have the desire to use only one earbud, as many of us do, you are restricted to using only the right as all control is only in the one earbud. For most this isn’t going to be an issue but I always only use the left if using one earbud.
In summing up these are very impressive earbuds that I would highly recommend.
Great sound, great fit, great isolatio
I’ve tried numerous Bluetooth ear buds and these are the best at isolating from the outside world. Good sounds and the Jabra app is richly featured. Bit pricey but comparable with more expensive ones so the price is justified. Batteries last a good long time too.
I’ve been using these for over a month now and I am not regretting my purchase : great sound quality, they stay in as you move around (including upside down when doing handstands) and the battery life is amazing when paired with the charging box… But for me the best feature is definitely the “sound through”, easy to activate on the go and extremely convenient when you are running/cycling outdoors and want to be aware of your surroundings.
Definitely would recommand!
Snug firm fitting giving feeling of confidence that they will not fall out.
Had these for a short time period so far, but compared to other ear bud type earphones that I have purchased in the past these are fantastic. They sit snug in the ear without concerns that they are going to drop out and their sound quality for such small evilest is the best that I have experienced.
I use headphones and ear buds or earphones a lot as I commute daily and having spent money of cheaper inferior items in the past I can recommend that it is worth taking the plunge with these.
Looking forward to a long enduring relationship with them where as I hope to get six to 12 months usage out of cheaper variants these appear well made and robust.
Stay connected with great sound and no wires.
I have purchased and returned four or five similar ear buds. Every other set i have tried failed on connectivity. I was told to stop being a cheap skate and pay a bit more for a decent set. All the others were around the 50/60 pounds range. And it showed one pair didn’t hold a charge but the main issues were cutting out when moving . These so far have had no problem in staying connected even when moving. Also I have managed to remain connected indoors about 30 /40 feet outside it’s about fifty feet. Another feature I like is the in ear design, the hold in the ear really well unfortunately I am unable to exercise because of arthritis but my son who was the one who advised me on this purchase, assures me when out tabbing and running they stay firmly put .
They are so simple to pair and make the job easy and fast. The battery life is exceptional also you get two charges from one charge of the case. Charging times are relitavy short which is a bonus. The sound is very good,
as good as a decently priced pair of branded wired headphones . I have a bit of an issue with the controls for phone volume etc.i find them difficult to use.To be fair my son has no issues but he doesn’t have sixty five year old sausage sized gorilla fingers. If like the majority of the population you don’t have giant bulbous ape fingers you should have no problems. So great sound great connectivity great looking easy to set up . These are the best set I have purchased the first pair I have kept every other pair was pants. I know you can buy a pair for less than half the cost of these fantastic ear buds. But believe me I have purchased four in about the last twelve months, and each pair had problems which were apparent within minutes of using them. These are very very very good. Also I don’t know if amazon do the same offer to every one buti was given the option of five interest free payments which pleased me. If you like music without the aggrivation of wires which always get in the way get a pair of these you won’t be disappointed.
Some problems with the left ear....but....
I bought this mainly for the gym, but it’s likely going to accompany on my commute more often.
I’ll get the only small issue I have with these out of the way. I find the left ear cuts out very briefly….However I believe the reason for this is because firstly, I carry my phone in my back pocket, and secondly, I’m also wearing a thick parka jacket. The issue happens when I (sometimes) turn my head to the left relatively quickly. There’s a very brief crackle, but then it’s fine. I did a lot of research on these and decided they would be fine, rather than wait for the Elite Active 75t, which would cost about 80 more.
Anyway, there have been a lot of reports of people having trouble with the left earpiece, and I’ve heard various theories about wifi causing interference, etc. What I find strange is that as I understand it, the right earpiece is the control and tells the left one what to do. I don’t yet know if they both equally receive the bluetooth signal, or if the right receives and then sends to the left, if it’s the latter then I would guess that when I turn my head left, then my body (including parka) gets in the way of the signal to the right earbud, making it weaker and thus not strong enough to pass on to the left? Who knows? Anyway for me it’s not a big issue, for others it could be a deal breaker.
Doesn’t take long to get used to the controls, although I wish they were more sensitive as you do end up pushing the bud into your ear when pressing them.
I’m a big fan of the hear-through function, although I wish I could increase the sensitivity more than it can be already. It’s a weird experience for me, and you lose a sense of where the sound is coming from as it’s sound being sent to you from the built in microphones.
They fit in my ears perfectly, didn’t have to change the buds, but I need to give them a test over a few hours to see how I feel regarding comfort and heat. Also need to test them in the gym, but I’m confident they aren’t going to fall out
I like the app – the buds are more flexible when using it, I like the passive noise cancelling, I like the sound, although if I get on a plane, I’d likely still invest in some dedicated premium over ear NC headphones.
Oh yes, I like the charging case I knew how to open it easily after reading reviews (hint: squeeze it very firmly at each end, the lip opens easily that way). I’m not used to bluetooth headphones, but do love gadgets, and I’m amazed at the technology that’s gone into these things.
I’m very happy with this item, especially for the price I paid, but it’s still early days.
Update: Sept 2020
They’re still going strong, I’m now pairing then with my smart watch to listen to music while cycling (in mono, rather than hear through). I’ve also noticed they don’t get on with my surface pro 4, or rather if the surface is on them they’ll just repeatedly connect and disconnect, so need to make sure the surface is switched off. Strange as my TV, Xbox, and work laptop all use Bluetooth and don’t cause any interference.
Brillia
Brilliant earphones, only negative comment would be about the battery life
Great earbuds
Ordered these as I fancied some wireless earphones and couldn’t justify the Apple version.
The service was quick and the buds were well packaged.
Only been using them for a few days, so far I’m really impressed with them. They fit snuggly and are very comfortable.
I’ve only had them in a for a few hours at a time, not sure how they would feel having them in for the whole day.
Sound quality is pretty good too.
I’m really impressed with them and would highly recommend them.
Worthy the money
It has an incredibly range, it is comfortable to use, the quality is good, the buttons work well and it is quite well rounded. I used to take shower and it worked. I just wish the case was easier and safer to put and take out the headphones. Rarely but it does have sometimes a connection problem, nothing to worry much.
Worth the money but even better as a black friday deal 😊
I bought these to replace an old sound peats set. The sound is good and they stay put when in the gym even when going heavy or on the bike going for it.
I’m glad I bought these.
Solid pair if in ear headphones, decent sound quality. Easy to use with multiple tips for different ears. Packaging was solid. The app could be improved and its lacking a type c port and wireless charging.
The best wireless earphones I've had (and I've had quite a few)!
I was concerned first that they would have a great fit. The fact they have no wings concerned me but they are easily the best fitting and more comfortable set I’ve tried. I’ve had about 5 or 6 different wireless earphones ranging from 15 wireless (but connected to each other) to 200 totally wireless Gear Icon X’s (which aren’t great if you’re wondering).
The sound is great and good level of volume. The app is rubbish but you dont need it. The through sound works great and connections (even to multiple devices) is flawless. Making calls is great too.
Honestly, they are flawless with one exception (and it’s a minor one). Pushing the buttons is a little hard on the ear but not much. Touch sensitive buttons would always be my preference (the Gear Icon X’s only redeeming feature) but I’ve seen worse in terms of button stiffness so this is a minor criticism.
My wife loves these
These 65t’s are a great product. The fit is excellent and the sound quality is first rate. Add into that the 5 hour battery life (better has been achieved) and they really work very well indeed. I purchased them for my wife as a birthday present and, as she listens to a lot of podcasts, she uses them all day. They never fall out, even when she is cleaning out our group of ducks, which is quite exerting and requires a fair amount of manoeuvring.
The only sound deadening is provided by the physical presence of them in the ear, so that is passive rather than active. The controls are pretty good and don’t hurt in use (The fully waterproof ones do as they have very stiff switches.)
Would I recommend them? I’m about to order a pair for my daughter as a Christmas present as she is so impressed and she is very hard to win over. So, yes, I would recommend them. Great sound, excellent battery life, easy charging with the charging pod that gives three recharges before it needs charging itself, what’s not to like?
These earbuds are feature packed. I can link them to 2 devices at the same time, which is great for when you have a work phone too.
The noise pass-through feature works well for when out on a bike. Plus they stay firm in your ears with no wiggle or wobble.
My only gripe is that the locator feature is a bit temperamental.
Great set of bluetooth earbuds...if you get the fit righ
I’ve been using these earbuds for a little over a month. Haven’t used them for hard excecise where sweat would be dripping off me so I’ll review based off general use.
The Charging Case.
The earbuds come in a small and neat charging case. It fits in the palm of my hand and is light enough that it’s virtually unnoticeable in a jacket pocket. Jabra states that the case will fully recharge the earbuds from empty twice (not tested yet). Recharging the case requires plugging in a micro USB (supplied) to a USB adapter (not supplied but a phone one will work fine) or a free USB port on a PC, laptop, etc). There is a tiny LED next to the micro USB port to show what charging state.
The lid of the case is a simple piece of hinged plastic which clips into body of the case. Best way to open it is slight pressure inward on the actual lid (not the case) to release the clip. The lid is very secure and has not opened accidentally while rattling around in my pocket or bag.
Once open you have two shaped recesses for the earbuds and a small LED. One thing to note is that there is nothing holding the earbuds in place but gravity (and the case lid when closed) I agree with other reviewers that a magnetic securing system would be fantastic but the lack of one is not a deal breaker for me.
The Earbuds.
The earbuds are small in comparison to other bluetooth earbuds I considered. There is an R and L embossed on the inside of the appropriate earbud and a logical “Left earbud is on left of case and Right earbud is on the Right” is used.
Jabra claims a 5 hour playtime and I think this will be dependant on volume and features that are active, I can’t dispute that figure as I get close to it (sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more).
They are shaped to fit your ear comfortably. A twisting motion is used to “screw” them into place. If the correct “ear gels” are used the twist results in a secure and comfortable fit. I can’t stress enough that try all sizes of the ear gels on both earbuds (mix and match each side) to get the best fit possible, how securely they fit and sound quality depend on this.
The centre disc on each earbud houses the controls and also LEDs shine through it to show if the earbuds bluetooth has connected, if they’ve started charging in the case, etc. The controls aren’t touch sensitive, they are actual switches so some pressure to activate is required and this can be uncomfortable.
The right earbud seems to be the “master” with the left earbud slaved to it, both have sensors so they know when they’re in your ear. If you remove the left earbud from your ear then the right earbud continues to work (and switches to mono mode). If you remove the right earbud from your ear it senses this and auto pauses for both earbuds, put the earbud back in it resumes operation. It’s clever and works a treat.
Each earbud has a built in microphone that in addition to allowing phone calls, voice recording, etc they can also act as a passthrough for environmental sounds and voices jabra calls it HearThrough. This can be useful for keeping awarness when out and about but if for example it’s windy and the wind noise over the mics is too loud/annoying then a simple double click on the right earbuds control deactivates the mics (and the sound insulation is very good), another double click reactivates the mics. Also useful if you want to ignore the family…just saying.
I haven’t had reason (or accident) to test the waterproof rating so can only take jabras word for it. IP56 = Protected against harmful dust (first digit) with protection from strong water jets and no harmful effects of strong water jets from all directions (second digit).
So theoretically you could shower wearing them….but I’m not sure why you would. Either way a bit of rain and sweat shouldn’t bother you (2 year warranty against sweat and dust).
Getting the jabra sound+ app is a must. It allows you to control the equaliser, save custom equaliser settings, volume of HearThrough, choose a sound mode (commute, focus or active), review activity (step count, length of activity, etc) and of course update firmware of the earbuds. Through the app you can also configure how the earbuds work, for example deactivating the auto pause/resume of the audio when a earbuds are removed.
Additionally the app can play ambient sounds (Soundscapes) if that’s your thing. They are in 3 categories:-
1. Mask the noise around you (pink noise, white noise, ventilation fan, waterfall, diving)
2. Sounds of nature (ocean waves, rainy day, songbirds, perfect storm, babbling brook)
3. Comfort ambience (cavern, crowd)
Why someone would ever want the ventilation fan humming away is beyond me but the diving can be suprisingly relaxing. Is it a must have feature? No, but it’s there if you want to try it.
When I comes to sound quality the 65ts are pretty good as earbuds go, especially if you take the time to adjust the equlaiser in the app. Yes you’ll get better sound from a good quality closed headset and that headset will probably be more comfortable if worn for long periods…..but you also can’t just pop it in your pocket.
Overall, these are good earbuds with a decent range of features. I wouldn’t put them solidly in the “sport and fitness” category as I find them great for general use and travelling.
Are they worth the money? Hmm that’s a tough one that only you can really answer. For me they’re worth it but if you’re on a budget then there are cheaper options but you’ll make concessions in sound quality and features.
Update:- Coming up on 2 years and still good. Have been dropped, used until battery ran out, recharged numerous times (no noticeable loss of battery life) with no problems
Great all rounder true wireless headphones.
After weeks of hesitation and an interim frustrating purchase of a low-cost pair, I finally decided to invest some money in order to get what I was looking for. And they delivered as expected!
Pros:
– They fit perfectly in your ears, at no point they feel like falling down.
– Sound is crystal clear with (just) enough good base sound.
– Although not featuring a noise-cancelling function, the sealed in-ear fit isolates the majority of surrounding noise very well.
– There is a very useful pass-through function which mixes surrounding noise using the embedded microphones, so you can be aware of your environment without having to unplug the earplugs every time.
– Charge lasts a decent time, an the recharging poach is small, sleek and handy.
– If you use the headphones with your phone, there is an App which allows equalising sound and further configuring the unit.
– Handy function that detects when you unplug the headphones from your ear and pauses the app you were listening to.
The only minor constructive comments are:
– Bass could be a bit deeper: they are not lacking, but there is no extra punch left.
– It would be useful if the phone app allowed adjusting Left-Right volume balance.
– There is no app for Windows laptops, only for Android/iOS smartphones.
– It would be nice if the Bluetooth driver allowed quickly flipping between registered devices (e.g.: laptop, phone, tablet) when they are all turned ON and with Bluetooth enabled nearby.
– A set of larger rubber grommets would be handy.
Great bit of kit. Now my favorite go-to Bluetooth headphones.
The sound quality is fantastic and the Bluetooth connection is v.stable.
I still prefer my Plantronics backbeat fit for the gym though as I sweat lots!!
If you don’t sweat too much they’re fine in the gym and for running and I have used them for both successfully.
Good bud, poor suppo
Sounds good and comfortable in use, the sales pitch is misleading, there is no activation code with the device. Jabra App will work with IOS and some android devices but it won’t work on my Fiio, it keeps asking for an activation code which of course does not exist. I contacted Jabra and gave up after 2 days of being told ‘ there is no activation code’!!
I use these in the gym all the time, they have never feel out so far, the sound quality is quite good for truly wireless earbuds. They have a decent battery life too.
Did my research and these seemed the best buds atvthe price range.
Ive not owned any other wireless ones to compare against butvthey are great.
Sound is quality throughvthe ranges, and for in ear bud i found the bass was strong despite a few reviewd to the contrary.
They are snug and fit well. Im training for a marathon and longest run in them has been 19 miles and i hardly noticed they were there. I never feel they were insecure.
All in all a great purchase.
Best headsets I've owned. Period.
These are the best headsets I’ve ever owned. Light and discreet. You even forget they’re in your ear.
The sound is excellent, not noise cancelling but pretty good isolation. Great battery life. Great fit even with my small ears.
The call quality is inexplicably good! I don’t know what Voodoo makes the mics work so well when they are so far back in your ear.
I just wish they made active noise cancelling versions.
***
Left unit failed, and I’m still dealing with Jabra support. Unfortunately, their support is just terrible. Awaiting the RMA process and really missing some great headphones.
Really good, give them try
I read many reviews before purchasing and thanks to those people posted them. Ive had these for a while now and love them. Once in your ears you forget there in. Sound quality is decent enough with a nice bass responce. Battery life is good and ive never had them go flat on me. Used for travelling to work mainly and always block out the rest of the world. Connection to my s10+ has always been instant and had no issues there either. Made the occasional call and had no complaints from the caller or drop outs. Thanks jabra
Good product overall
Arrived in quick time and looks very attractive as a product.
Pros: connects quickly, good sound, looks really good and fits really snug in your ears.
Cons: battery life wasn’t as good as advertised, frequent drop outs of sound while listening to music, especially the left ear bud, when using over phone calls, they only hear the background sound and not me when I was speaking, that was a major flaw as I wanted something discreet and works really well.
The buds are very discreet but the performance as far as voice could be a lot better. Will continue to give this a try and see if I can be turned.
Great set of buds
I cant recommend this highly enough they just work perfectly. I partnered them with Comply Truly Wireless Pro Memory Foam Earphone Tips for a near perfect fit. The sound quality with the added tips is amazing, and the fit is truly awesome. They are almost feel part of your ears and you forget they are there.
GREAT sound for the buck.
Great sound, good battery, comfy fit and value for money. I like that they connect to 2 devices at once meaning I can listen to music on my own device at work and still respond to calls and alerts on my work phone that I wouldn’t be able to hear otherwise while wearing earphones. Only vice would be if wearing for prolonged periods you feel it but that is expected with any in ear buds and I’m talking if listening to something like a Lord of the rings movie for 3 hours straight. Also pushes a bit when using the buttons to skip, answer or adjust volume. Could do with touch panels rather than buttons. Also you can oy use the left bud with right. Only the right bud can be used on it’s own. Not an issue for me really.
Well featured and good sounding
These are great sounding headphones. They don’t have noise cancelling technology, but they seal in the ear hole well to block a lot of sound. They are light, with well fitting buds and so are virtually unnoticeable. The additional features of voice assistant and sound pass-through are very useful. They are great for making calls because you have sound pass-through so you can hear your own voice. Battery life is good with the addition of the charging case which is reasonably small. The Bluetooth signal can sometimes be lost if the phone is blocked by your body, but it is more reliable than other earphones I have used.
They are quite pricey but I got a good discount in the Prime sale.
Very happy
These headphones are great.
I use them daily, in a variety of environments – never let me down.
The sound quality is very good for the size. I listen to a lot of dub step and podcasts, handles both well.
Battery life is great, headphones have never run out after four hours +, case quickly charges them.
Case features clever led traffic light system to let you know how charged the headphones are, and how charged the case it… Very intuitive.
Case holds three full charges, and recharges itself in 3-4 hours.
Headphones came with good selection of tips, it was easy to experiment and find the best fit. Once in feel very safe and secure.
Phone app is great, easy to adjust and monitor all settings.
Water resistance works well, sweat wipes off easy.
Phone calls are clear and speech sends well.
Overall I’m very happy 🙂
Overall fine
Good fit once you make sure you pick the correct plastic moulds – there are 3 sizes.
Sound quality good but I can hear my foot tread running through which is a bit annoying. Overall though would recommend.
I never leave reviews, and have always used Bose. I have recently had to replace my Bose truly free headphones which I lost! Upon looking on amazon for the same replacement I saw these Jabra ones which were the same price, but had fantastic reviews. So I thought I’d try them out.
OMG! … these buds are in a different league! The sound quality is the same as Bose, but have so much more innovative qualities! I’ve never used Jabra before but I will be from now on..
Loud, but sound quality could be better.
I liked these a lot, I wanted a pair of wireless earbuds that were loud, and these definitely are, (for earbuds). They don’t sound smooth or rich though, and the sound quality began to grate. I was deciding between these and a pair of Galaxy buds, which I kept because although not as loud, (but not bad) the sound quality was just so much better.
Great headphones
I bought these on a recommendation to replace an old wired pair I was using for my daily commute. These headphones sound excellent. Although not noise cancelling, they do isolate external sounds well thanks to the wide range of soft silicone buds provided. This is more than adequate to cut out the background noise without having the volume too high. I can’t comment on moisture-wicking but they do appear to be pretty sweatproof whilst down the gym. Overall, a great buy, and much better than my old wired buds.
At last 👍
At last after buying apple B and O and Sony wireless headphones a pair that covers the bases. Perfect ? No … but what is . Using the app gets gooood bass and a rich sound. These are comfy and wearable. Didn’t consider these after reading a review in what hi fi got them and love them.. testing them now on some music and space cowboy never sounded so good . A let down on the charge case as earbuds sit loose why? Battery is holding and am three hours in and it’s still 50 percent. Rich sound and loud with no drop out that the Sony has , controls on earphone unlike apple .these are what my b and o should sound like but don’t well done jabra my Apple Watch works with no messing about . Had these six hrs and it’s love . update ….. Lola’s theme Freemasons on as I write really don’t know about review in what hi fi ? Can’t be the same product I’ve got ? I don’t know if you can try before you buy take a chance on these a very warm sound by this if you’ve tried others they can sound if you’re listening in a pub toilet . Been trying to confuse the buds with jazz , soul and classic philly disco . Please note no drop out and no flat spots
I’d barely heard a bad thing about these when checking reviews. I’ve got to say, I can see why they are one of the most popular bluetooth in-ear earphones.
Literally my ONLY gripe with them is that occasionally there is some desync when watching videos. This is only on some video apps, so can’t guarantee it’s the Jabra’s fault (hence still giving 5 stars).
People have said that sometimes there is some lag between the right and left, I have NEVER experienced this.
The button controls are easy to use, impossible to misclick unlike touch-button wireless earphones.
Best wireless headphones I've tried
I’ve tried cheap and expensive wireless headphones, my main 2 reasons to reject a pair would be either the bluetooth connection is not stable enough or the earbuds don’t fit well (either they move, or they start to be painful to wear for a long period of time).
I finally stop my search when I tried this model. The fit is very good (but obviously this is completely subjective and might not work for everyone). I’ve paired the bluetooth with my android phone, a garmin forerunner, and a fitbit charge. The pairing process was always very easy and worked the first time. I haven’t experienced any drops and I’ve been using them for a couple of months, for runs, workouts in the gym and also traveling (they have a nice feature to “hear through”, amplifying the boarding announcements for instance). I haven’t had time to check the numbers from Jabra for the battery life but it is very good, you get several hours on one charge (2.5 hours flight + waiting at the airport) before and the charge was still ~40%) and then you can get several charges from the carrying box.
Perfect for everything (except travelling phone calls)
So I’ve attempted to use these headphones as my daily drivers exclusively, I’ve never used earbuds before. I’m a young professional who likes watching videos, listening to audiobooks, and most importantly making lots of phone calls while travelling. This is my main usage of headphones and I was worried the mic might not be good enough.
Sound quality is fantastic, convenience is amazing compared to wired, they stay in your ear super well. The mic is great for quiet indoor usage; however it picks up background noise very badly. It’s almost impossible to use on the street or when doing dishes in the kitchen with the loud clanging.
Now that I have them, I’ll keep using them. But knowing how sensitive the microphone is to outside noise; I wouldn’t buy another pair if these fail on me.
Oh; and there’s no noise cancelling as far as I can hear. It just plugs your earholes well.
I had a pair of jaybirds which I lost one of the ear pieces so needed to find a new pair of headphones. After lots of research I settled on the Jabra elite and they have been great.
I use them every day either while on the commute or while out running and the sound quality and fit is excellent. The charging case is brilliant and recharged them multiple times and the headphones stay in place.
Totally recommend
Practically flawless true wireless earbuds!
This product surpassed all my expectations – they have great battery life, reliability, a snug fit which makes them stick nicely in your ears when exercising (even intensely), surprisingly good sound quality, and not to mention outstanding ease of use: all you need to do to use the earbuds (after they’ve been paired with your chosen device) is take them out of the case and place them in your ears! I also love the auto-pause feature which stops the music/video temporarily when you remove one earbud, playing it again when your replace it. If you remove both earbuds this doesn’t happen though (which is minutely disappointing, although this is to be expected due to the limits of accelerometers. Finally, the controls on the earbuds are very convenient and easy to use – you can play, pause, answer/end calls, adjust the volume and skip/go back to previous tracks all from the buds themselves. One minor detractor is the fact that since the controls are on the buds, you need a while to get the hang of using them while not pushing them further into your ear.
All around though, extremely impressive!
I pour with sweat when I run and these earphones never budge. They are easy to use and bags of battery life. But of wind interference on the cycle but what hasn’t and the quality is outstanding
Great sound, small form, big comfo
I’m really happy with these wireless earbuds. They’re small enough, I don’t have to worry about sweat or some rain and they work great. The sound is where they really shine, the bass presence is really great. There is an app that shows you how to use them, and lets you customize an equaliser to your tastes. If you’re looking for an alternative to other, white, wireless earbuds these are definitely worth consideration. While they don’t have noise “cancellation” the isolation provided by the different sized buds is great. And the ability to quickly engage the microphone so you can hear your surroundings is very clever.
Good sound
Good sound and secure fit in the ear, graphic equaliser works well.
Solid produc
Before committing to it, I’ve read so many reviews about the earbuds specially concerns that the Bluetooth connectivity and the left earbud issue. After using it for a week, I had no issue with either with the only case when you pass something with a strong magnetic field the connection drops like 0.1s. I really like the quick connection and disconnection featured offered by the product. Some people complained about lack of bass, it is not as good as the Beats one but I think it’s enough for me. They are very secure in the ear and comfortable to wear. Battery life is good so far. Sound quality is as good as it can gets in this sort of price range. Overall very solid product.
Get them
I use them for triathlon training. Bike, run (not swim) easily for 2-3 hours on the trot. often take into shower afterwards. I take them off when I do my head just in case but they are happy getting splashed. Just get them. The whole “it hurts when I change songs complaint” is daft as you can very easily with one hand support the bud and press the button – no ear pain at all. I agonised over buying them. Unless you have an ear shape that makes it uncomfortable you will enjoy these. Battery life is great as you get loads of charge from the holder. I’ve used AirPods aswell / it’s laughable that they are similar price range. Jabras are far superio
Use product for when I am driving . Sound and incoming calls very good. Outgoing calls and texts can differ in quality.( This may be caused by a number of factors such as reception of area of call.) Overall above what I expected for the price.
By far the best wireless performance.
I upgraded to these after using the Jaybird Runs for at least a year. The Jaybirds gave constant wireless connectivity issues between each earbud, and between them and my playback device as well.
The Jabras, however, have never given me issues, even in the most signal-dense stations and environments in London (where the Jaybirds used to cut out completely). They fit in my ears well, although it takes a while to learn how to twist them into place so that they stay, and feel light but secure. Their ability to connect to two devices is quite fun as well, allowing me to take calls on my phone and listen to music on my laptop in between.
I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for truly wireless earphones that actually perform as wireless earphones should, whilst not compromising on sound quality as you would with Airpods.
I think these look better than airpods, especially the navy/copper option. They sound great (they don’t claim to be noise cancelling but I’ve had no trouble with outside sound). When paired, they connect automatically when you take them out of the case, which is handy. I’ve dropped them on a number of occasions and there’s no ill effects or even visible marks, so I’m really impressed with the build quality. Battery life is good, I rarely get the “battery low” warning because when they’re not in my ears, they’re charging in the case in my pocket. Fully recommend.
Blown away by these, work great at the gym and considering the tiny size also work very well for phone calls. The pass though mode also seems to work well as long as you don’t have the volume cranked up to high. Don’t use the fitness accelaromoter because I use the ht monitor on my watch at the gym.
Give these a chance they are excelle
I was actually in the process of sending this back because the sound was awful and there was virtually no sound out the left side. Warning Amazon make returns a nightmare!!! It has to be sent back via UPS because of the battery. If you haven’t got a UPS account then sending these back is difficult frustrating and IMHO discredited Amazon. However I decided to give them another go and I’m glad I did. I ignored the battery status and gave them a charge for around an hour I then changed the ear buds to the larger size and boom I had base and decent sound. The difference was night and day. I can play with settings and achieve the sound I want. These are actually great but just make sure you personalize the fitting get the right buds and make sure their properly charged. The phone works exceptionally well with these on calls and they are very comfortable. Most importantly they don’t fall out or move. The app is very good and works well. Lots of functionality
Don’t usually write many reviews but had to for these earbuds – Simply put… wow!
Take some time and try the different rubber adapters – you’ll know when you’ve picked the right ones!
You can tweak the sound in the jabra app and there’s plenty of base (even though a few reviews say there isn’t)
Its day one but crikey, these are impressive!
These were bought to be used in the gym but I am now using them every where.
There are far more comfortable than previous true wireless earbuds and I have had no problems at all with them coming out even when running.
On top of that, the sound quality is excellent. They’re never going to sound as good as over-ear head phones but they’re not far off.
Battery life is great and the case is sturdy.
Good but not perfec
The sound quality was good and they didn’t move whilst walking. The downside for me was the fit and I felt like I was under water the entire time.
Just brillia
I have tried all different blue tooth headphones for running and each one there has been one thing not totally satisfied with BUT these are amazing. They stay secure in ear never have to adjust. The sound quality is awesome. The use per charge is excellent then to add to that the case re charges them! I can not express how these are the best headphones I have used for running! Especially being a long distance runner these see me through those 4 hour run easy. To some these up… brilliant just brillia
Good reliable produc
I’ve had these for 6 months now. They’re pretty good. I initially had issues with them falling out of my ears durung exercise, but they don’t seem too bad now. Sound quality is good for the size of them.
Bought this earbuds even so they were a bitt expensive but I learn with previous products that sometimes you have to pay for good quality. With this earbuds I was not disappointed. I use them daily, while running or just to use them at with my phone and they are truly versatile. Comfortable and offering good sound quality while being very practical and even looking good in my ears. Totally recommended.
I have been looking at these for a while but didn’t want to spend 150 on a set of headphones
I even bought a 40 pair of Chinese wireless earbuds
But after a couple of months I took the plunge what can I say
Wow the sound quality is night and day
Brilliant well worth the extra 100
Other stuff
Comfortable fit you will forget you have them in
Noise-Cancellation- yes blocks out the outside world
Can’t comment on the phone features as have no friends to talk to
I purchased these as a treat for myself and to urge me back into exercise. I’ve found them comfortable to wear and the sound quality is great. They paired easily with my iPhone. I also wanted them to pair with a Bluetooth transmitter, but I’ve given up trying to work out how to do that. I’ve used the earbuds for calls as well as listening to music and have been pleasantly surprised with call audio quality. I was worried that the earbuds would fall out when jogging but that hasn’t happened once. I don’t listen for more than an 90minutes at anyone time, so have no idea how long the battery should last, it’s always been perfect for me.
Good for running
On the whole I love these but I have 2 issues. One is the letting noise in when out running. I find the app for this setting a bit confusing. Basically I did not want noise to come through but when I set it and went for a run that took me not too far from a motorway the noise coming through was like sitting next to a cracked open window in a car, very distracting and not nice to hear.
My second issue is the charging box, I have a different pair of earbuds that magnetically fit in the box so I feel confident they are charging. These do not have a magnetic fit so I am always unsure they if they are charging.
Other than being unsure about setting the noise through and the charging case these are great.
When running they stay in my ears securely. Sound quality is good and connecting to my phone or iPod is very quick.
I like the idea of being able to play white noise etc but don’t know if it’s possible to set the buds to do this without the app?
Seamless performance on for two devices
I took time to read a few reviews before buying these as I haven’t used a Jabra product for years. The product is easy to setup providing you download the Jabra app – Sound+ which will give you an indication of battery level and offers some customisation options too.
I saw in the reviews some people having issues with one of the earbuds disconnecting, I haven’t had this issue at all. in fact, I use them for work calls on my work phone and listening to music / personal calls on my personal phone. It transitions between the two seamlessly.
Battery life is pretty good, especially with the charging case and was able to last a long haul flight and transfers the other side comfortably. Really recommend these.
Really good
Really good item. Does what it says. Only downside is charging.
Pleased I bought this
Intermittent Drop offs
I really really really wanted to like these. Look great (blue/copper) sound fab. great app but but but music drop offs abound. 2 metres from phone with a wail in between music cuts out intermittently, same on the street with the phone in my pocket!!! what up Jabra? I live in London so there are many cameras, i.r. masts, wifi post etc but my Philips Bluetooth over ear (+/- 50) have no problems whats-so-ever. So! Jabra, what’s the solution before I send these back and go for the Samsung or dare I say it, Airpods. OK update. Having spoken to Jabra they offered to replace them no questions asked. Amazing customer service in this day and age. Expecting them tomorrow Wow 5 star service. Received a new pair. All goed. Very very happy camper.
These earbuds are absolutely amazing. I have never bought a better pair of headphones than this one. Apart of the great features they come with and the useful app, they are very comfortable and the sound is very good. When it comes to waterproof, I just washed them at 40 degrees and tumble dried them by mistake in a pair of gym pants. They are very clean and work as new now.
I highly recommend these earbuds!
Wow, these are good.
I like my head phones and have Sony Bluetooth wired headphones which are good, however wanted truly wire free Bluetooth headphones and considered three brands, Jabra Elite Active 65t, Sony wf1000-X and Apple Airpods. Ruled out the Apple Airpods as with all Apple pods they just fall out easy and the specifications of the Sony weren’t as good as the Jabra. The Jabra Elite Active 65t are amazing, look cool, compact and lightweight and very comfortable, easy to pair, amazing sound quality and the Jabra Sound+ App is good. I tried the medium size ear gel and fitted good, however when I tried the large ear gel a better fit and sealed in sound better, experiment with the ear gels. As I have just got these only time will tell around the quality and longevity.
The best Bluetooth for training - in fact great all round!
I have tried many Bluetooth devices for the gym and up to now the best I could find was the Monster i victory sport Bluetooth but they still had the wires but great for the gym.
I also have the apple AirPods but they don’t stay put and fall out if I am bending or twisting etc. Yes I have larger than normal ears – please note apple not everyone is the same size!
So been looking around for true wireless and decided to try these.
Great service from Amazon arrived the next day at 3pm at a locker. Perfect.
There are no negatives for me on this product.
Fit – onto the larger buds and won’t fall out if a shake my head up down back and front. Perfect fit and especially great with the little twist to fit them.
Noise cancelling- can’t hear anything else. You can change this in the app if you want to.
Sound quality – I am not a techie on this but they sound great to me. Better than the apple AirPods by far. You can adjust bass and treble in the app nice and easy.
Comfort – again feel great. Not at all heavy as some people claim. Feel absolutely fine and wear them for 2/3 hours at a time.
Connectivity – agin easy to my iPhone and to my Apple Watch (the latter I use in the gym as don’t use my phone). And so far no drop out.
Controls – simple. Better than apple as can change volume on left ear with a raised edge so you can find the controls easy.
I can only recommend this product from my perspective. Just a great product. I will try and sell my apple ones now.
I’ve has these for about 3 weeks now and used them daily so have got to know them well and feel able to write what I hope is a reasonably informed review. Objectively, the earbuds themselves are a four and a half star, the case a three star. The down points of the case do not do the excellent earbuds any favours and my frustrations lie firmly with the case itself. Forgive the lengthy review but I do feel the negatives need some qualifying and the shorter reviews don’t necessarily do the earbuds justice not doing so.
This was my shopping list so you know what I was after to better frame the review and your own decision.
I wanted a reasonable set of wireless earbuds to use at my desk to listen to music and take/ make calls throughout the day. I didn’t need noise cancelling as I didn’t want to ‘shut out’ the world and there was no point either as I would be continually interrupted. I accepted music sound quality wasn’t going to be great by nature of the small form factor and, having another set of decent headphones for music, I was happy to settle for ‘reasonable’ if my main boxes were ticked. Which were a charging case, good battery life, secure fit in the ear, comfortable with prolonged use and reliable to be able make plenty of phone calls.
I was fortunate enough to be able to demo all the offerings from Sennheiser, Bose, Sony and these. The others were good in their own way but none ever ticked all my main requirements. Yes, music playback of the Sennheisers sounded much better but even then were still limited by the form factor, didn’t get a tick in the other boxes and just wouldn’t stay in my ears. The others were compromised too in their own way and with the Jabra’s seeming to tick my boxes, I ordered them. I have not been disappointed at all overall.
What I don’t like – the case:
Soft shell interior of the charge case – grease off your ears on the buds accumulates quickly in the case you have to wipe it a few times a week. I’d rather have had a less attractive hard shell interior to not have to do this, especially when the charging pins in the case are, apparently, notoriously fragile. Not USB-C to charge – come on, these came out in 2018 and even Samsung and Microsoft had made the switch by then! Left ear bud doesn’t always switch on – happens once a week maybe but dropping them it into the case and taking them back out usually solves it. Every once in a while the Jabra app doesn’t ‘know’ they are connected. Which isn’t a massive issue as, once you have set the buds up how you like them, they don’t need the app to use the button functions and switch on/off ‘hear through’. You just need it for setting changes.
But none of these stop the buds performing brilliantly and, beyond some difficulties with the initial pairing process (use the Jabra app to do the pair) I’ve not had a single instance of the connection dropping out. Other than the odd glitch if my phone is in a trouser pocket with coins and other junk. Whereas in the short time trying all the others I experienced more significant drop outs to some degree even with my phone unobstructed.
What I like:
They work and work really well for all the boxes they had to tick. Calls are a little ‘thin’ but then all ear buds tend to be by nature of their small form factor and I’ve had no issues with audibility so they must be doing their job – I even did an hour long conference call on them with no issues. Music playback was decent to start with and has improved a lot over the weeks with a softening of the harsher mids. No it isn’t anything to shout about but the general quality and clarity has me reaching for these a lot over my larger AKG’s just because they are so convenient switching on as soon as you open the case and being paired and ready before you’ve got them in your ears. The Jabra app is really good for tweaking the setup and preferences and once set, the buds are ‘fit and forget’. Love the ‘hear through’ function letting in noise from the outside world with a quick button press. Secure fit – I have small ears and buds full stop rarely fit, but these are excellent. I had a short run with them expecting them to fall out or need pushing back in all the while but far from it, they stayed largely snug and sound isolation was excellent too. Reasonably discreet – now wireless buds look obtrusive by nature, but these least so out of all the ones I tried. Secure case – I’ve seen lots of comments bemoaning the case is difficult to open and people would rather have a magnetic clasp. Firstly, if you look at the instructions they show you how to easily open the case and secondly, a colleague dropped his lovely Sennheiser ear bud case and that magnetic clasp opened, spilling the buds onto the floor and one got trodden on. I dropped mine and it stayed shut. I’ve also had no problem seating the buds in the charge case as some have reported in reviews. Maybe me spending that extra few seconds doing so makes all the difference but I say this to try and counter some of the negative comments people have made here about this. Fast charging of the case and buds – I’ve used them several times to the point of the battery running out in the buds (4.5 hours use by the way) and I can confirm both the case and the buds recharge as quickly as claimed.
So, would I recommend them? Yes, 100%. Even if your key shopping list differs in some way to mine I would recommend you consider them. If quality of music playback is your #1 priority and earbuds are a must, then no, the Sennheisers should be your only choice if you can afford them. There is a very faint visible lag on video with the Jabras, as others have mentioned, but it isn’t an issue for me and I haven’t found it obtrusive or spoiling the viewing experience. The issues with the case do not affect performance of the genuinely excellent ear buds and if you treat your kit with even a little respect, you shouldn’t have any of the fragility issues. They are a really good all-rounder with very few trade-offs and they should be on your shopping list if you’re looking to take the plunge with wireless earbuds.
Hope this helps.
Love these
Like: the sound is incredible and I have tried many different wireless headphones previously. They connected to my phone really quickly and unlike some other headphones they dont try and connect with other headsets when I’m in busy places like the gym !
Dislike: when I want to share the sound with someone else they cant listen using one headphone they sound will just stop when they have been separated which is a bit annoying
Background:
I’ll start by saying I own AirPods and the B&O Beoplay H5s. The H5s sound decent enough but the cord I found annoying and would pull the buds out of my ear, plus no travel charger – so quite a different product. When I bought the AirPods I used an iPhone, I now use Android (Samsung S9+).
Sound:
These Jabra’s easily sound better than those and if you like lots of bass like modern headphones (Beats, Bose etc) the equaliser does a good job of adding more without distortion. However their bass isn’t overpowering out of the box. I won’t go into more detail as I don’t know what I’m talking about. But they sound good, clear and enjoyable to listen to.
Fit:
They fit my ears well out of the box, I was really surprised how well they fit. I use the default silicon grommets but there’s a smaller and larger paid included. AirPods never fell out of my ears and don’t have quite as a ‘plugged’ feeling, that may put some people off but if you’re used to wearing anything with those silicon tips designed to create a seal, you won’t have a problem.
HearThrough:
This is a feature enabled in the app, it allows background noise to come through. As far as I can tell it disables the active noise cancellation. The noise cancellation isn’t intrusive so at the same time I doubt it’ll perform like the Sony’s or Bose QCs on a plane or something, but I don’t know. Anyway, this feature works surprisingly well. You can even test listening to music and clicking your fingers, you can’t hear them. Enable it and you can… I believe this is a safety feature if you’re running along a roadside you could hear traffic etc.
Would I buy them? Yeah, I have and I would again but I haven’t tried the new Samsung Galaxy Buds – they might have the benefits of the AirPods (easy syncing and integration with phone, nice case) and the pros of the Jabra’s – ie the sound.
The annoying flaw:
The case. It’s like it was designed by a different company, I cannot find any positives of it over the competition. At all. It’s large, the hinge is cheap, it doesn’t open easily and there’s no magnets. The Apple AirPods snap shut and easy to open with one hand. If I try opening this with one hand I keep thinking I’m going to break it. Unless I’m missing something it’s just a plastic clip holding it there and the lid flexes as you open it – I’d be surprised if this lasts 2 years.
There’s also no magnets for the earbuds themselves. So if you turn the case with 2 hands to pop the lid open you have to be careful not to let them drop out. This might not seem like a problem but if you’re used to better cases it feels strange there’s nothing holding them there.
If you can live with the cumbersome holding / charging case, I think they’re a good buy.
Video:
I’ve added this at the end because I haven’t tried to fix it but I saw some comments saying there’s lag when watching videos. I do get this as well but for me it’s very slight and I don’t really watch videos when using these but it’s worth mentioning.
Amazing little earphones, great sounding, excellent for training
I struggled for years anything that was not a proper headphones to stay in my ears or on my head while being active (even just walking). Finally I had enough and decided to buy something more expensive, a pair of properly made in-ear speakers. Did my reserarch and arrived to Jabra.
Money well spent.
They stay in my ear during training, running, walking and they are truly wireless, not even a wire between the 2 buds. I was afraid at first as nothing stayed in my ears before. These are sitting in there rock solid.
Great sound quality and really good sound isolation. You definitely don’t need more than this. Sometimes I even take them for my daily commute if I want something lighter than my Sony WH-1000XM3s. The sound quality and isolation is of course not that good, however they are still absolutely amazing considering their portability.
100% recommended product.
Great earbuds for workouts
I do not write many reviews but feel compelled to write to praise these earbuds. I have had (and still have) numerous headphones / earphones (ranging from 20 – 400). I use them primarily for commuting, running and gym workouts. I prefer in-ear style headphones as they are less bulky but have real trouble finding any that are both comfortable and stay in my ears whilst running. These Jabra’s twist into your outer ear to create a great fit. I have used them at the gym and for running and they do not budge. Add to that great sound quality (for wireless earbuds at this price point) and reliable bluetooth connection (no drop-outs at all) and I think these are the best all-round earphones that I’ve ever owned. Well done Jabra!
These buds have changed my day to day listening experience ten fold.
Incredibly easy to use with auto connect between my phone and computer, I am rarely away from these earbuds.
Further more between the fast charging and easily portable charging case I have yet had these run out of battery on me while out and about (2 months of extended daily).
Sound adequately quality is crisp and clean – these wont match your headphones for quality but they make up for it hands down in: portability and ease of use!
Only had the Jabras for two days but already think they’re great. I am an iPhone user and was seriously considering airpods but wanted something for exercising with that felt more robust. I decided to go for these and am not disappointed. These were well packaged and felt great quality. The standard eargels work for me perfectly. Just one word of caution, if you have small ears, you may struggle to get these to fit and stay in place. Also try every ear gel. I tried a smaller one and the sound was suddenly really tinny as it wasn’t a good fit in my ears. Went back to the mediums and the great sound was back.
The connection with my device is great, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0. It really makes a difference and no drop outs so far.
Good points:
– They feel robust
– Nice design
– Strong connection
– Low latency (video sync with audio is good)
– Hear through allows external sounds in and can be disabled. In ear design means these naturally cancel noise
– Good punchy sound but use correct gels for you
– Plenty of volume!
– Equaliser app works well
– App has some useful features including ambient sounds (such as rain, pink noise, white noise etc to help sleep / concentration)
– Stay in place when running. Didn’t move at all and no concerns that they would. Again, use the correct ear gels.
– Sweat proof with 2 year warranty when registered through the free app
– Seems to have a good amount of charge but early days
– Can pair to two devices simultaneously and a large number of devices can be ‘remembered’
– Firmware update through app is easy
Bad points:
– Mechanical buttons result on the earbuds putting pressure on ear canals. The airpods definitely have the edge here.
– Not ideal for small ears
– I’ve noticed the sound can be slightly affected when eating with these in due to the snug fit in the ear canal
– Not the most comfortable after a few hours’ use but not too much of a problem
– Right ear is the master unit. You can’t use the left on its own which would be my preference but not much of a problem.
I’ve seen a few people complaining about the case. Personally I don’t have a problem. Just slightly squeeze the lid on it opens. I’d rather have this than the case opening too easily.
All in all I’m happy with these and pleased with my choice. The sound is powerful and well balanced with ability to tailor this with the free app.
Way better than AirPods
Sound quality is insanely clear and pristine, although it would be nice if the volume could go higher. Noice cancellation is good for an earphone surprisingly. Good ergonomics the earbud looks somewhat stylish and comes with sizes for the inner piece. Bluetooth connectivity could be better my left ear piece sometimes cuts ou
Unbelievable technology. Spent a while looking in to a decent pair after going through so many in the past, felt it was time I invested. Beautifully packaged, unboxed and placed them in my ears – they literally fit so snug and I can jump up and down without them dislodging, great for gym. Sound is really good, clear and sharp with good amount of bass – overall blown away, great investme
Just brillia
Before purchasing these I read a lot of reviews on the various true wireless options in the market at the moment. Almost all pointed towards these, ahead of the likes of traditional top end brands such as Bose and B&O.
On that basis I thought they would be good, but I didn’t realise they would be so good.
Sound quality is fantastic with a really good range. The noise cancelling is brilliant too, and I love that you can adjust the level of cancellation using the app. The battery life too is fantastic. I’m a keen runner, often going out for long runs on the weekend and I walk more than 30 minutes each way to work every day and I barely ever have to recharge!
They’re also super comfortable and don’t move at all when in your ear.
Jabra, you’ve done a cracking job, and I’ll be sure to recommend these to anyone.
Amazing little earbuds
Just collected these amazing little earbuds myself and i find them pretty awesome for how little they are. Sound quality is very good but there is room for improvement, i would say a 8/10. I am pretty sure the Sennheiser ones are better in sound quality BUT they are more expensive, a lot more! They cancel the noise really well, like anything maybe there is little room for improvement but for sure they are very good at canceling noise around you. They come packed with feature thru the android/ios app and they allow you to adjust loads of options. Where these shine is the battery, while the competition barely reaches 4 hours, not even that sometimes, these little gems get up to 5 hours and with the super fast charging case, you will have a blast throughout the day! Here comes my only gripe with these…. sigh… THE MAX VOLUME IS TOO LOW!! god damn it… so many good things about them and they couldn’t push a 30% more volume when at max? I was so disappointed when i heard the max volume being so low. Even a 20% increase to that max would of been a blessing. The only way you will be satisfied with maximum volume is if you have a sensible hearing… thats it. Would like to dream at a firmware update to increase a bit the max volume but i am pretty sure that is wishfull thinking, as now they rely on the last edition on the market i think…. Nevertheless GREAT LITTLE EARBUDS, i would recommend them, just that volume…. sigh
Seem very well built, compact design and fit really comfortably in the ear.
Ear buds create a really good seal. Cutting out background noise, and I’ve not been at all worried about them getting loose or falling out.
Left bud cuts out momentarily when walking through those alarms at the front of shops, also very occasionally on trains on the London underground (must be some kind of interference). Only happens rarely so not too bothered.
Sound is great.
Are these the best headphones? Probably, but…
Sound? Tick! It’s great, and good enough you can’t tell if your using some senhieser momentum’s.
Battery? Much better than competition so don’t pretend you think it’s a problem here
Hear through? Tick and it’s just awesome! Especially since some more expensive headphones still lack this feature!
App? Does decent job, with lot of options on equalisers. It’s awesome that it even has white noise mode for you to concentrate!
But?!? Well it’s fone for music, and most of the time for video it’s fine – BUT, it has latency issue when using YouTube app (iPhone x / Xr) for me. And that can be a downer for some of you guys! It works for YouTube on safari, but the app just have approx 0.3seconds of delay on the sound. Enough to annoy you. Good thing is that it’s a soft ware issue, bad thing is that they knew about for a year and still haven’t fixed it. Based on my research I believe it’s actually google’s YouTube app’s issue so there’s not much jabra can do. There is no lag for amazon prime video or Kickstarter videos. Minor delay for fb vids sometimes.
Everything about these earbuds have quality all over them. The design and build feels solid, the charging case is a good size easily fitting in a pocket comfortably.
The sound is better than on any previous earbuds with only the deepest bass really being an issue, however you’ll never get this from a set of buds. What Jabra have created really is a masterpiece for those that don’t like over ears.
Small extra touches such as sound passthrough which activated the microphones and plays surrounding noise into the ear so you are able to hear your surroundings. They had me at the auto pause feature though. Simple things.
Very happy with the purchase. However I will mention that the sound quality and comfort completely rely on the fit (hence the 4 *). They do come with 3 sizes of rubber earpieces and none of these worked comfortably or stayed in my ear. Ultimately I bought some of the memory foam replacements and these truly made them feel how they should’ve from the start. Highly recommended purchase for anyone buying this series of headphone.
They fall out but not to ofte
Souds pretty good, and don’t fall out that often, if you are sitting down, but if you are walking they fall out pretty often but for me not that often that I don’t what to use them
I struggle to find headphones that don’t hurt my ears, cancel out surrounding noise or remain in place when running. And my ultimate test is to not be able to hear or feel every footstep and heartbeat when I’m running and active. I ummed and arrgghhed whether to buy these earbuds……if you’re like me…. stop umming and arghing and click buy now!!
They do exactly like they claim!! The noise cancellation is excellent, although I would caution against blocking out sounds if running outdoors. Stayed snug in my ears throughout my run and gym session. Sound quality is superb. No pain after prolonged use – Hardly realised they were in. Crystal clear talk functionality. Easy pairing and only interruption during playback was due to switching between wifi and data. Love the auto pause when removing an earbud. If there was one criticism – it would be the buds are not magnetic and can drop out of the case, that said, the case is not opening on it’s own. All in all….. 10/10 – Well worth the money!!
They offer one of the purest sounds for a truly wireless pair of earbuds out there, very deep bass lines and clear high notes. With just about 15 hours of playtime when paired with the carry case, for active noise cancelling ear buds, the price is right. They can shift at times when you’re doing really fast movements but that is to be expected from any other brands as well.
It came down to these headphones or the Bose Soundsport ones. For me, the cleaner lines and compact fit of the Jabra won out.I’m glad they did, they are a fantastic pair of headphones. Very comfortable, easy to use and integrate easily with phone and other devices.
On the phone they pause playback when you answer a call, one tap on the earbud, and resume on termination. The hear-through is another handy feature, tap twice to pause/mute playback and listen to the external environment or have a chat with someone. Playback also pauses/mutes if you take one of the buds out. Really easy to use. Sound quality is excellent, no crackling or lag, and the microphone is good enough to have conversations comfortably when outside, even in blustery conditions.
Running with these in is a real treat. They are extremely comfortable, hardly noticeable, and stay in-place resolutely. My first run with these, I was interested to see if there would be any risk of them coming out (outdoors, and at night I was worried I may lose or break one if it popped-out), but they stayed in place comfortably. They’re snug enough not to move or bounce while running which is vital.
The little box they come with acts as a charger, so a combined 15 hours or so with the buds and box fully-charged, no power issues if using them during your commute. No need to bring additional cables either which is an added bonus.
I can’t recommend these highly enough, 10 stars!
EDIT2: I received my replacement end of April one month after my support request (I suggest phoning support, contacting them via email I only seem able to receive some useless troubleshooting email). However since then I had no problems with the product and I am back to enjoying them! (Writing this in September).
Moving this to 4 stars, would have been 5 if support had been more responsive!
EDIT: below you will find my very enthusiastic review when I purchased this product. After 4 months of use, which would have been last month, my left earbud went quiet, then came back but there is now an imbalance between left and earbud. After frustrating email communications with support, I seem to have managed to get them to replace my left earbud, only that I have submitted my request for replacement last week (I am supposed to receive a label for shipping the earbud), but I still haven’t heard from them.
A real shame because it is a great product, reading on the internet it is actually an issue that has happened to other owners. Will update the review when and if I have received my replacement to see if it happens again.

Had my reservations on this product, I like a bassy sound and the reviews online were putting me off as they mentioned the sound being neutral. However they have the highest ratings amongst true wireless earphones, and the ability to tweak the sound via the app made me take the risk.
And it was worth it! Using the Sound+ app they now sound exactly how I like it! once eq’d the bass is really good for a pair of earbuds.
Soundstage is probably not the widest, but I prefer this as it makes drum beats tight and punchy.
They stay snugly in my ears and I can’t shake them off neither if I wanted.
Great functionality, take the earbuds out of the case: connected.
Take one earbud out: sound paused
Hearthrough feature to listen to outside noise through the buds is convenient.
Great product, worth the money and the 5 stars!
My first pair of fully wireless earphones. The sound quality is very nice for the size of these little blasters. They are as you would expect from a small device slightly lacking in the bass department. After a few seconds of being in the ear, it is easy to forget they are even there. They also block sound out incredibly well. Good purchase, just hope I don’t loose one.
Having tried a few pairs of wireless earbuds and never finding the right pair, I’m glad to say these are finally the earbuds I was looking for
Sound quality is excellent, and I’ve had no connectivity issues barring a handful of hiccups where the left earbuds cut out for a seconds, otherwise is unnoticeable on my Bluetooth 4 phone (OnePlus 3)
Battery life is great, with daily office use I’ve found that popping them back into the case occasionally for a few minutes is enough to keep them charged throughout the day.
They also fit incredibly well. I’ve taken them out rock climbing with me and never felt like they were even close to slipping out. Great earbuds
I’ve always found the idea of truly wireless earphones an appealing concept, but never took the plunge and purchased a pair because it seemed that most models suffered from connectively issues or fit issues or looked ridiculous. However, after recently upgrading from an iPhone 6 to XS, the absence of a headphone jack finally pushed me into seriously considering a pair, and after some research, I settled on the Jabra Elite 65t Earbuds.
Right off the bat, I can say that I have had no connectively issues with these headphones. They have never dropped the connection, and I am even surprised about how far away I can wander from my phone and still have a strong connection. This may be because they support Bluetooth 5 (as does my phone). As these are Bluetooth wireless earphones, I was never expecting the sound quality to be incredible, and it isn’t, but it’s quite good. They are great for podcasts of course and listening to music on these is a more than acceptable compromise for the convenience of having truly wireless headphones.
Two areas that surprised me were voice calls and “hear through” mode. Indoors voice calls were excellent and people could always hear me clearly without any issues. Walking around outdoors was a little bit more hit and miss. There were several occasions, where people complained that they could not hear me correctly, even if I could hear them. I think that this could be due to the microphone placement and how it prioritises sounds. However, “hear through” mode is really great. It essentially allows you to hear sounds around you without taking off the earbuds. I found this really useful for all situations where I wanted to continue to listen to a podcast or music, but I also needed to be aware of when people were trying to get my attention (e.g. waiting at a Doctor’s surgery).
Fit has always been an issue for me with earbuds. I’m a long time fan of the excellent Klisph range (e.t.c. x12i, x20i etc) as the small ear pieces seem to form a perfect seal in my canals and the sound quality is excellent. I do not get a similar seal, but I must say that they fit better than expected and they seem to be reasonably secure. That is not to say that they are perfect in this regard. I check quite regularly to adjust them when I’m out and about because even though they have never fallen out, they don’t feel “locked in”. I appreciate that not everybody will require a “locked in” feeling to feel secure.
One area of concern for me is the case. It is not magnetised and can be a bit fiddly to open as you struggle a bit and then when you finally overcome the closing mechanism the lid flings open, throwing the earphones out. Over time, I’ve learnt how to open the case in a controlled manner, but I do worry that the closing mechanism will not stand the test of time. Other than that the case really is nice. It provides excellent charging, but what I like about it is the soft touch plastic that feels great.
In conclusion, I’m pleased with these earphones, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
I bought these ear buds about a month ago for the gym and I have to say I couldn’t be happier. Ear buds are very comfortable, lightweight, the sound it great and so far i have never run out of battery. Ear bugs also come in a little rubbery case that holds additional charges. Overall I’m pretty happy with my purchase and would buy another pair if something should happen to mine.
We're almost there
I’ve had a few different bluetooth earbuds over the years and these are the best so far, but there are still crackling, or cutting out issues. Because they come with a recharge capsule, their battery life is good, but you always want to be near a USB port or plug to make sure the charging capsule gets plenty of juice.
If am out walking and turn my head, they cut out. If my phone is in my pocket, the thickness of my jacket affects signal too, leather jacket all but muffles it. The right earphone seems to be primary too, so keeping the phone on my right side helps.
If you absolutely detest wires and don’t mind the recharging and the occasional cutting out, you’ll appreciate these.
I haven’t tried using them just for music (i.e. not connected to another device), but for day to day use these are decent and comfortable.
I bought this because I was curious (and found a very good price) after reading some review comparing them to B&O E8.
Pro- decent bass, good wear comfort, good battery life.
Cons- mid and high too often a bit annoyng, they make the sound not clean, Uncomfortable pushing the buttons into your ear
The charging case, for this price, looks not so pretty and comfy to use
recap. i foud it good but for this price is not adequate, If I have to compare them with E8 as many do, considering prices of both nowadays, I can say that if you are looking for a product good but not superb this jabra can be all right, but there are similar quality items as Sony WF-SP700N and other that deserve, If you have no problem to pay 50 gbp more, to have clean sound and high material quality I can say taht E8 with todays price are the best choice
The good,the bad, the ugly.
The good.
Sounds great for in-ear headphones. If you use over ear cup style then don’t be surprised it lacks bass in comparison. I own the Sony wh1000mx2 and it’s definitely a shock to go from those to this. However the style of headphone makes an impact. I bought these for the gym as I don’t want to take the Sony’s there.
The weight is good, but also takes a few minutes to get used to.
The bad.
The right bud is clearly the master bud and theleft bud is a slave bud.
If I remove the left bud the right bud plays and the left one switches off (the right bud also goes from stereo to mono – nice touch) however if I remove the right bud, the left one turns off and the right thinks it’s in my ear.
Also the left ear bud can be interfered with and stop working in certain areas. Went to a subway and thought the left bud broke on me. Something in there wad screwing it up.
Also the case not being magnetic is a giant boo boo.
My idea would be to make the case the master unit that transfers the audio via the phone to the headpieces.
There is lag with video, however some 3rd party apps allow you to manually adjust this. Also the lag is constant so I don’t know how phone manufacturers can’t use software to compensate. It’s not hard. If the lag is 300ms then tell the player to lead the audio by 300ms and problem solved. So it is an issue these headphones have, but if you’re watching a video. You’ve bought the wrong headphones.
However, I went truely wireless as my buds always break. Always in the cables. If these last. Then I will be happy.
In short, not perfect, but new technology NEVER is.
After trying 3 other in-ear headphones (including the terribly disappointing AirPods), I finally tried these and I absolutely love them. I am not one for leaving reviews (this is my first), but I just felt like I had to because of how impressive these earbuds are. As a designer myself, I appreciate good design, and Jabra have nailed it with these earbuds. My favourite part is the tiny storage box which also acts as a charger.
Absolutely love these.... excellent!!!
Great earbuds, very nicely made and very comfortable.
Using the application from the Google Play Store these were very easy to setup and configure to my personal preferences.
Sound quality is excellent and the built-in equaliser within the application is excellent for configuring the sound to you personal preferences.
Call quality is excellent and it is easy to setup with Alexa or the Google Assistant.
The earbuds are nicely made and they a premium look and feel and I have used many Bluetooth wireless earbuds and these are probably the best so far, unlike some others I have not noticed any disconnections or drop outs or lag when watching videos.
I can highly recommend these.
These are excellent headphones of their type, for me pretty much faultless. They stay in my ears without issue, even when running and working out. The connection is rock solid – I’ve noticed with my iPad I can pretty much leave that in one place in my house and walk around anywhere without a break in sound – with my Pixel 2 XL the signal is not as strong, and will only let you move to the next room before it starts to break up. But that is clearly an issue of the phone, not the Jabras. I also think they sound good – they’re not audiophile, but given their format and intended use, they sound perfectly good.
The app works great, and allows you to configure things like pass through sound, which can be activated/deactivated from the right earbud and is very useful as the buds themselves passively block quite a lot of sound
Not cheap, but very happy with performance
I have spend a very long time trying to find the best true wireless earphones on the market. Apple, Samsung, Bose, Sony, B&O…all of these big names offer good options, but all also have significant flaws. I hadn’t really heard of Jabra until the last year or so, but my word have they knocked it out the park with these. The audio quality is rich and clear with deep bass (where true wireless earphones normally fall short). They have fantastic battery, connection and also some nice little extra features too. It is CRUCIAL that you get the right eartips/fit inside your ear. This can be the difference between OK and great sound, as I found out.
Pros:
– Fantastic, rich and clear audio: deep bass, distinctive vocals and balanced treble (no sharp s sounds)
– 5 h battery (+2 full charges with the case), fast charge 15 mins = 1 h playback
– Connection uses bluetooth 5.0 (one of the first to use it) gave me LoS distance of 97 ft. No sync issues between earbuds
– Auto pause feature with proximity sensor
– Water resistance IP56 (powerful jets of water)
– Fantastic Jabra Sound + App with customisation, quick-toggle profiles and ambient sounds
– Slim profile with minimal protrusion, no extended antenna (mics still work incredibly well, excellent call quality)
– High quality materials and build, including for charging case
– Buttons include volume control! Simple control scheme on earbuds (but also see cons section)
Cons:
– No magnets to hold earbuds in charging case
– No USB-C, uses micro USB
– Pressing buttons can push earbuds into ear canal, can be uncomfortable – touch controls preferred?
If you’re unsure about getting these or the Elite 65T, essentially the Active model are IP56 rated, not IP55 – so slightly better water resistance. They also have an integrated motion sensor for sports tracking – so it’s worth the upgrade if you want to use these for exercising.
Overall these were the best true wireless earbuds I have ever tested. For a full review please check out the youtube video at InsideTech.
These have so far proven comfortable. The audio quality is very good and I like the cute and small case. I also like the app. This is the second Jabra product I’ve bought and I’m impressed. Haven’t yet run out of battery as the longest I’ve used the headphones is about three hours in one session, but they do seem to recharge very quickly.
