Good loud alarm
Bought for caravan thankfully it has not gone off, small unobtrusive size
The alarm is much smaller now but installing is same as before, plus it’s good value. However, the 10 year warranty does not refer to the battery life because it’s a normal 9 volt battery so please be aware.
Love the silencing feature
The hush feature beeps intermittently for a while after you press it just in case someone were to test it then hush it then think the battery they had just put in were a dud and get super confused when it happened again. Just in case.
Useful feature though! Read the instructions.

Ordered from caravan smoke alarm section but the instructions say not suitable for leasure vehicles or boats but I have put in caravan will see what happens.
Bought this to replace the second fire angel smoke alarm to fail. The plate you attach to the wall or ceiling is easier to line up with the unit as it has much better tabs that hold them together. Even has an alignment mark if you want the logo to be aligned to your hallway etc if that appeals to you. It als has a tab so you can’t install the unit without a battery.
So far no false alarms which is better than the fire angel one it’s replaced.

Excellent service
Excellent product works as should. I would rather have the replacement battery type. Some of the others with fixed batteries don’t last as long as they should. Some less than 12 months in my experience.
Nice looking alarm
Arrived on time works ok only thing was there were no screws or anything to fix it to the ceiling. So I had to go out and buy a pack of screws just so I had 2 to put it up with!
Well made looks good east to fit ideal for a caravan.
Got this for our caravan as existing one was out of date. I wanted one that didn’t go off every time you cooked. This hasn’t been tested yet in that way as we’ve not been able to go away since buying yet due to lockdown however many other reviewers say it didn’t go off. Easy to test and easy to fit. Lasts 10 years and has replaceable battery too.

Very quickly delivered,great make,and bargain price,I suggest read the manual,re flip out arm on battery insertion to ensure correct battery insertion,original replacement battery was low on power,no big deal inserted Duracell had a few spare,but at this price and brand I recommend.

Ich habe diese als Ersatz fr die 10Y29, die ihre Sollzeit erfllt hatten, gekauft.
Wichtig war mir, dass ich die alten Sockel weiter verwenden kann und keine neuen Sockel samt neuen Bohrlchern installieren muss.
Dieses Vorgabe wird mit den 29HDRB erfllt. Lediglich ein kleines Plastikstck (das bei der alten Version die Installation eines inaktiven Melders verhindern soll) muss u.U. mit einem Seitenschneider entfernt werden. Danach arretieren die 29HDRB bombenfest in den Sockeln der 10Y29.

Reliable and long lasting
Always opt for the Kidde models. Never had an issue with them. Work consistently well. Burnt food in the kitchen will set them off – which is a good test in a way.

This is a good small size………not so obtrusive as some detectors
When You Purchase This Alarm It’s Best To Read The Simple Manual So That You Understand The Small Arm That Flicks Out When You Remove The Battery Which Has Been Placed The Wrong Way For Delivery Purposes And That Sprung Little Arm Has To Be Placed Back And Tucked Away While Fitting The Battery The Correct Way. If This Alarm Is A Replacement Of Your Old Kidde Alarm It Maybe Be A Shock That The New Version Is Alot Smaller So You Might Have To Plug Up Your Old Mounting Holes. Reading The Manual First Before Fitting The Battery So That You Understand When Testing The Unit A Certain Time Limit Has To Pass So It Keeps Quiet And The Red LED Still Blinks=Correct Mode For Use. I Understand Why The Size Has Got Smaller And Looking Inside My Old Kidde Alarm There Is Loads Of Spare Space. The Price Is Very Reasonable I Think For An Item That Can Give You A Warning That Something Is Going Wrong In That Area. Also The Battery Is Replaceable To Continue Use.

Works fine but i thought it had a 10 year battery life but it is actually a 10 year alarm life.

product arrived really quick seems good value and was easy to install
Perfect alarm, this was to replace a similar one which was installed over 12 years ago by the fire brigade (that one had a none replaceable battery) this one battery needs replacing probably after a few years, it has a cut off button so if you accidently burn the toast just press and it cancels. Previous alarm was by the same company and I had no problems with that one, so far so good with this one. Almost 2 years since alarm was fitted still it is working perfectly and I do ocassionaly burn the toast, I have alarm at bottom of stairs which are near (6ft or so) from kitchen if alarm goes off I can easily reach cancel button. Battery not replaced yet.
