Difficult-to-reach cable ends? These no longer pose a problem with the Twistor16. These crimping pliers from KNIPEX crimp wire ferrules from almost any working position. The secret: The slim crimping die, which can be freely rotated 360°, can be used from both sides, thus ensuring a great deal of flexibility and even more time saved during electrical installation work. Because the square crimp profile automatically adapts to the different cross-sections in the capacity range from 0.14 to 16 mm², no manual adjustment is required: Simply turn the crimping die towards the wire with ferrule as required, then insert, press, done!

The KNIPEX Twistor16 not only crimps single cables with all common cross-sections up to 16 mm², but also twin wire ferrules up to 2 x 6 mm². It crimps wire ferrules up to 16 mm in length in a single operational step. Longer wire ferrules can be crimped using the crimping die accessible from both sides (no depth limit!) by simply pushing the ferrule forward for a second crimping stroke.

Knipex quality through and through, the swivel head makes it easier to access wires in installed panels for maintenance and modifications. The wide range of ferrule diameters and sollid crimps make theese a valuable tool to have in my bag!

Significant investment but worth the money… used a few crimpers that come included in the unbranded sets.. all silly lil cheap toys compared to the build of these!

Yes, you can buy crimpers that do a similar job for a lot less money but these more than make up for it when having to work in confined spaces.
I have been doing a lot of work in riser cupboards and a standard crimp tool has been painful to use because of the single orientation. This crimp tool’s swiveling head has made it so much simpler to work in the small space.
The build quality is superior, as it should be, and has produced consistently good crimps and will likely be able to long after I retire.

Vor allem der drehbare Kopf ist sehr ntzlich. In allen Positionen crimpt die Zange zuverlssig und gibt ein gutes feedback in die Hand zurck. Der groe Bereich an Durchmessern erspart mir das mitnehmen von mehreren Zangen, nur fr Kabelverlngerungen brauchts noch eine Zange zum einlegen.
Aside from the terrific build quality this crimps a fantastic range of wire gauges. I won't use this tool for daily, or even weekly, but I've use it a lot for electrical work in my shop. I could not see myself buying a Chinese throwaway tool even though this one is expensive, like most superior tools. If I ever decide to sell it I'll be able to, unlike the junk crimper tools. Amazingly, this crimps the very small ferrules for AWG 26 .....all the way up to and including big wire, including AWG5. So far I've used it for AWG10 ferrules and it works flawlessly.

Purchased these due to my manual ferrule crimper having unreliable results. Expensive for what they are however they are made in Germany and have the knipex lifetime guarantee. Recommended if you will use it frequently, if not just buy a cheap set and replace as and when they break.

Perfect condition, it seems as a high quality product, smart solution for pressing, I would say that they are even better than previous – older models of knipex….
Reason for saying that is: they have certain amount of small knives – pressure sleeves, which press deep inside and at the pressure places are visible symmetrical deformation towards inside the center of cable, its pressurized with huge impact… I would say best solution in long line from family Knipex.
Still needed to be tested on different wires, over 6mm till 16mm, but till 6mm is excellent, really charming toy!!!

Ich kann die schlechte Bewertung vom Vorgnger nicht besttigen. Ich habe sowohl die 97 53 09, als auch die 97 53 18. Der Schenkelstand ist absolut gleich und die Verarbeitung ist ebenfalls ziemlich gleich.. gut verarbeitet und wirkt wertig und robust.. natrlich drckt es sich bei 16qmm oder 10qmm nicht mit 2 Fingern..allerdings brauch ich bei beiden Zangen beide Hnde. Ich fhl auch da keinen wirklichen Unterschied. Der wirklich groe Unterschied ist , dass man den Kopf drehen kann. Und das ist der Grund, weshalb ich diese Zange gekauft hab. In verschiedenen Situationen ist eine bestimmte Stellung besser geeignet und mit dieser Zange ist man dahingehend einfach super flexibel. Auerdem kann ich mit dieser Zange auch lngere Aderendhlsen crimpen, die mit der 97 53 09 nicht vollstndig crimpbar sind. Anwender die Flexibilitt brauchen und eine gute Zange suchen, kann ich die Twistor 16 nur empfehlen!
