These key pouches were bought to disable car thieves from using your key fob remotely. I inadvertently put the key in the pouch and tried to start my car.am happy to say I couldn’t until I removed the key from the pouch. A very simple and inexpensive security system.

Bought these as I had read online that my car batteries were dying so frequently because they are constantly trying to communicate with the car. Since storing them in here when not in use I’ve noticed a vast improvement in the battery life. Went for small at first but unless you don’t have any key rings on the keys it was quite hard to get them in comfortably. Refunded and went for the medium which fit perfectly.

These are okay if you don’t have bulky keys or fobs. quite a tight fit and hard to get keys out. Hasn’t softened up much with use. i think l will look for something bigger with more space inside.

They could be a little bit bigger, maybe another 15% and they would be perfect!

Too big, good for big keys, but once put key inside, hard to put into your pocket.

This item is good quality and does the job if you have a small bunch of keys, but if you have several keys on the car key bunch they will likely not all fit in this pouch.

It was a little smaller that’s thought.
I struggled to get the fob inside along with my house keys etc.
It seems to be fob only.

I feel so much happier knowing that the car is safely locked by the time I get indoos. I always seem to have to carry in my car & house keys, handbags, grandchildren, shopping bags etc, so by the time I get to my front door I wonder if I’ve accidently unlocked the car door with my fumbling. This product makes sure that I havent…..I love i

    BRILLIANT PRODUCT

These definitely do the job for which they’re intended. Unfortunately, for some modern vehicles (like mine) that turns out to be counterproductive in general use. My car ( a Honda e) notices when my remote ‘key’ is nearby and opens the car doors. Of course, if it’s protected by this pouch it can’t see me, so I have to take it out anyway. What’s more, if I absentmindedly replace it once I’m in the car, the car thinks I’m not there any more, so it refuses to start! On the plus side, this is a very good test of the pouch’s effectiveness. On the minus side, it doesn’t really work for me. But that was my fault for failing to think through the usage mechanism before I bought them.

Best thing I have done these pouches are excellent in a small fee to pay for peace of mind and would recommend these very sturdy also i use them to put money in and clip them onto my belt great thanks.

The faraday pouch safely & tidily stores the key for my car. The one thing I have found is that if the key gets stuck in the pouch, don’t pull on the chain as it is likely to come apart, just hold the pouch upside down and squeeze the sides opening the top of the pouch and the key should fall out into your hand. Luckily for me the chain broke on the first link so it was no effort to repair it.

Well it certainly works (so far) evidenced by our car thinking we’d mislaid the key.
My only complaint would be that it’s a little fiddly getting the key in and out; my husband has broken the chain on his already.

Got this pack of two key holders for my husband’s new company car. To be honest I think they should be supplied automatically with all keyless entry vehicles. It does work as we opened the car and then put the keys back in the pouch and tried to start the car but it wouldn’t start – peace of mind restored 🙂 but will continue to test it each month or so just to be on the safe side.

I’ve been using this for a while now, obviously how effective it is I’m not sure, my car has yet to be stolen. One dislike is how big it is, does not fit into back pocket of jeans and once you add more keys to car key fob, it’s not easy to close pouch.
BUT, you would rather have it then not 🙂

Having a keyless entry car I wanted something to stop the car picking up the signal from my keys as I leave them at the front door (causing the car to not shut off properly and it can tell the keys are still nearby, causing the battery to drain) these have done the trick in stopping that! Walking right up to the car with the keys in the pouch and the car can’t detect them at all! Really recommend

Briefly, It does the job. I tried the RFID blocking with the car keys and bluetooth headphones. Works fine and blocks all the signalling of the device in the case.
The visuals might be a little misleading sizewise. I have both sizes. (M, S) and I suggest you to check your key size and pouch sizes. The small ones might be hard to fit your bigger car keys and the medium one is too big to carry for me.

Got this for my new Volvo which has passive unlock/keyless start, because I wanted something compact enough to fit in my trouser or jeans pocket without being too bulky, yet large enough to fit the standard Volvo key fob. This works absolutely perfectly. The little chain keeps the key connected to the wallet, and when the fob is fully tucked down the wallet, the Velcro enclosure fastens securely to make a neat package for your pocket. I fastened a little mini-Velcro cable tie so that I could easily fish the key out of the wallet and put the opened assembly back in my pocket to unlock and drive my car. Does the job in shielding the key as i can’t unlock the car with the key sheathed. The product is quite reasonably priced and comes in a two-pack which is nice because most cars come with two key fobs. Strongly recommended.

Does what it supposed to do. It’s made really well although the pouch is a little ‘tight’ in fit for a key fob. I agree with other sellers, the chain on the inside pocket is a bit weak – so you need to be a bit careful pulling the key fob out. I attached my keys on the ring on the outside, and that’s OK for me. May not suit everyone though. On reflection, perhaps the larger one would have been better, but I can manage.

Purchased this product as other similar items claimed to screen car key from attempted “capture ” by providing a shield to prevent this which did not work.
My car detects my key when I approach and allows me open it. This product provides 100% security as it even prevents me accessing my car if it in the wallet. I highly recommend this product.

Bought these after hearing that thieves can intercept the key (keyless car entry) in your bag/pocket the same way they do with bank cards so decided to buy some for ourselves and daughter. Neat pouches makes it easier to carry the fob on their own. Put the spare keys in the 2nd pouch. Would definitely recommend

I bought the small size which just about fits my Nissan Note key. I bought the pouches after I caught sight of my car lighting up as if the key had been operated even though I was nowhere near the keys. I can only imagine it was an attempt to steal my key code. The pouches have given me peace of mind that the code is now safe. Yes, they are slightly fiddly to use but that’s a very small price to pay.

Wondered if they did actually work. I dropped my wife off in town and as I’m driving off the warning on the dash told me i was out of range of my key. I realised that my key was in the pouch in my pocket and the car had been using wife’s key which was in her bag not in the pouch. So yes they do work, if a little too large.

Despite being really cheap, these work great.

With key in pouch, car won’t recognise the key, even when standing right next to it.

Once I’d unlocked the car and got in, put key back in pouch and car wouldn’t turn over as ‘key out of range’.

These are really good. Just means they have to break in and steal the keys now

Bought the small pouch so it could fit in my pocket. With key fob still attached to the key ring you can’t close the pouch, however it still works even if the pouch is open. Tried unlocking the car etc and it won’t when the key is in the pouch. Bought these to keep my key and spare key secure from signal theft when not being used

Tested by approaching car with keys in pouch in my pocket, pressed the unlock button on the door. Car was NOPE. Then took the keys out of the pouch, pressed the button again. Car unlocked. This test proves it works, I can’t tell if it is blocking the signal altogether or just attenuating it so much the car isn’t having it, hence does it provide total protection against thieves I don’t know, but it definitely helps.

The 2-pack Faraday bag for my car keys was very competitively priced and so far does the job well.

On occasion, I have forgotten to remove the key from the bag so have been prevented from opening or operating the vehicle, indicating that the key is well protected.

Quality and durability will only be proven after the key bag has been used for 12-months or more and as this has been a very recent purchase, it is too early to comment on these. Notwithstanding, if it were to fail, I would consider buying an identical item, given the price.

Size is okay for a remote key on its own but could be an issue if you have the key on a keyring. The chain to attach the key to the case is a good idea and the external clip is also useful. Seems effective in stopping the signal from the key getting to the car as required. Happy with purchase and price paid.

I bought 2 sets of these for myself and my son. Appear to be good quality and certainly block the signal from the key to the car when tested.
The litmus test is the unthinkable i.e. the car keys signal is intercepted which has not happened to date .
My only niggle is that the pouch is quite small so it means that if your car key is with house keys then its a tight fit and ideally you have to take the key off each night or attach the house keys to the pouch and keep it with you at all times, which isnt a bad idea because no doubt criminals may adapt there tactics to targeting your car in public.

I think I will invest in a faraday box for the home to be honest.

I put my car key fob in this and keep it in an area well away from the front door to prevent thieves from “tuning in” to the fob and thus being able to unlock my car. I had the fob in one of the pouches inside my handbag in the car, and the engine would not start. This is how good they are. It gives me reassurance that my car is safe.
The pouches themselves appear to be of good durable quality, but I only received them today, so time will tell on that.

  47. Anonymous says:

Since there is a growing concern regarding keys being scanned and the signals captured for the theft of vehicles it seemed prudent to invest in one of these. The price for a pack of two is very good and the quality if excellent. There is a key ring on a chain fixed to the inside of the pouch and a belt fixture on the outside. The RF shield works so well the car will not open (key less entry) unless the key is outside the pouch. It’s a slight faff to having to open the pouch and get the key out all the time but you get used to it.

Totally works, so much so I keep forgetting when I get in my car and can’t understand why it won’t start?!?! Doh! I think this is probably the best value one on market at the moment. My only wish is that they did either car branded versions or choice of colours and patterns so we can instantly tell difference between mine and hubby’s keys. I have a Minu countryman and the keys fit fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this after being shocked by a segment on tv about car thieves! Came with two pouches which was a good buy.
I have a Mini that unlocks when you approach when you have the key on you. When I put the key in the pouch the car did not unlock. The key fits in the pouch easily with room to spare.
Just been using it to keep the car key in at the house, find it is a bit bulky to carry/use outside although it has a clip to attach to a belt etc. It also has a small chain and loop to attach your key to it. Perhaps the pouches could be about a quarter – half smaller if you only had a small key.
I took pictures with the pouch against a standard paperback book to give you an idea of scale without the key and one with the key inside.

Does what it says - it blocks key signal

Received promptly. A pair of cases containing an internal key chain as well as an external hook. They are quite generously sized but fit into a pocket. The flap folds over to completely enclose the key.
With the key inside, I cannot access the car as normal, so I assume it is serving its purpose.
Cannot talk about durability after a few days.

The RFID bags were received on time and the packaging was very good, without being ‘over the top’. The bags will be used with a Toyota Corolla keyless fob. The RFID bag which I’d previously been using had eventually stopped working and allowed the fob signal to be seen by the car despite being in the bag, despite there being no obvious damage to the bag. That bag was quite small so I got the medium size this time around, which takes the fob easily rather than at a squeeze.
The bag seems to be well made and, when tested, did it’s job in preventing the fob signal from reaching the outside world. It’s early days though and I’ll see how it gets on over time.

These are great although they are a very snug fit for my key fob. However, they fit neatly in my pocket so that’s OK. They stop the signal as they’re meant to. Very happy with them. Works as described – when the key is in the Faraday Bag I can’t open or start my keyless-entry car. Medium size Faraday Bag fits a Range Rover key easily. Bag is soft material, fine for putting in trouser pockets etc. I personally think keyless entry is a pointless and inconvenient innovation, as well as being open to exploitation by thieves, but a Faraday Bag solves the latter problem at least. Good product. Great value.

They do fail after a couple of months. If you are taking your key in and out of the pouch a lot it is to be expected. wear and tear
Paying almost 7 every few months to protect our cars is nothing in comparison to having them stollen. in fact someone tried to steal one of our cars, but was unable to due to these pouches and a faraday box.

After all the reports of keyless entry car thefts, getting a car with such technology requires nothing but being secure.
So I found this dual pack of key pouches and I couldn’t be happier.
I wasn’t sure what I would be getting with this from Amazon but I needn’t have worried as I inspected its material, nice thick outer with a velcro fastener.
I was also impressed with the quality of the carabiner latch and overall, it’s well made. The bonus was when I discovered that this has a little chain with a keyring on the inside to secure your car key. This product performs very well, tested with standing right next to the car trying to open it with the key in the pouch.

For too long I was having to place my key fob in the fridge at night so I decided to invest in the faraday bag. I have to say I have not been disappointed. Excellent quality product. It comes with a chain inside to attach your fob, and the room inside means that I can also get at least 3 or 4 other keys in. Somewhere to keep my spare key, with no fear of anyone being able to open the doors.

If you have a keyless entry car, get these faraday bags!

Sadly there are many reports of car thefts out there, often linked to keyless entry on vehicles. If you don’t take the right security measures to protect your car, your insurance may not pay out.

I’ve avoided keyless entry cars, but upon purchasing a new car recently, I didn’t get the option to avoid keyless entry. I was increasingly worried about some thieving b******s coming and nicking my motor, rather than going out and getting a job, that I started looking around for devices to help with protecting my car.

For some ease, and the fact we got locked down again, so I couldn’t go shopping, I turned to my trusty amazon account, and found these faraday bags. They work perfectly, and block the signals between the fob and the car, I know, I’ve tested it. So if you want to stop the car thieves from getting their five finger discounts on your cars, please please please, get a pair of these.

Good value for money, work as they should, and the car thieves hate them. Win Win!

If you’re a car thief, and you are reading this review… unlucky!

Tested these by walking up to my car with the keys safe inside one of the pouches. The car would not unlock until I took the key out of the pouch. Be aware that if your car key/fob is on a ring attached to lots of others, you might not be able to get it in one of these pouches as they are quite small so you might want to consider a bigger alternative. But if they’re big enough for your needs, I would definitely recommend them – good value.

I actually think they’re a bit of a bargain actually having seen similar pouches advertised on Facebook for more than double the price. I’ve tested the pouch with my car and they worked a treat, they do exactly what they are intended to do. I also think they look quite smart and seem well made so all in all I’m happy to have bought them.

Smart looking pouches which seem well made, are easy to get the key in and out of, and have a handy loop for hanging on a key hook.

They seem to work too. With the key in the pouch, my i30N will not unlock even when standing right next to the car. With the car open, the car says the key is not present and won’t start, even with the key in the pouch sitting on the dash. This suggests it will offer good protection against a relay attack.

The second pouch is ideal for the spare key.

Only had them a few days but seem durable enough. They do work, door won’t open when I am standing right next to the car, even pushed the buttons from outside of the pouch and still nothing so clearly blocks the signal.

You can’t get a door key in there as well but have attached these to the clip on the outside.

Its a bit fiddly and makes the keys even more bulky but you will get used to it and better than having the car stolen.

One of the main problems with keyless entry is for the signal from the keyfob being intercepted so thieves can steal your car. This Faraday bag sheilds the keyfob signal. It also allows you to walk pass the vehicle without it automaticaly opening when you do not need it too. It also keeps the keyfob from being marked or damaged while in your pocket or handbag.

Great faraday pouches – perfect fit for my keyfob.
My car has keyless entry and relay thefts are an issue where I live. So far, the pouches do their job – keyless entry doesn’t activate until I physically take the key out so I know the pouches are blocking the signal to the car.
Can’t really comment on durability as I’ve only had it a month, but I’ve been testing it each week and it’s still offering full protection.
Oh, and it looks nice too!

The pouches block the signal as they are supposed to, the pouch is kind of narrow so its a struggle to fit more than the fob in but thats good because it means it seals fully and even when in the car with the fob in the bag, it completely blocked the signal and the car would not start.

I really like the chain to attach the fob to inside of the pouch and also the outer clip but the inner attachment of the clip to the bag does look like it will last long but thats minor.

The product is nicely designed and certainly looks good. The price is fairly reasonable as well. My only negative comment is that it comes in two sizes, both that I have. One is slightly small for the key that I have, whilst the other is too big to keep in my pocket. I think its an issue with the key rather than the product manufacturer. But totally happy and hope it works as intended.

We have recently purchased a Volkswagen id3 with keyless entry and the bag does block the signal completely so a very effective solution. The car does have added security features , the key is disabled if it doesn’t move but this has an annoying side effect that if the car is close it will wake up if you move the key inside the house … this bag is great at stopping that problem which is a great bonus. It is well worth the money.

Yes it does work really well, in the pouch the car stays locked, when in the car (key in pouch) the car did not start.
The only thing i did not test was if unlock button was pressed when inside the pouch the car remained locked.
So why only 4 stars, it would be better if a small and medium pouch was a option instead of two pouch’s the same size. picky or what.

This actually works. Only thing is I have to get used to getting out my pocket and out of pouch for key to open my car door BUT I get peace of mind knowing the signal is being blocked and my car is where I left it!! I’ve not marked durability yet as I’ve only had a week or so. I got small pouch and put fob inside and house keys on key ring outside. The chain for fob I will need to see if it stands test of time as to whether it will not snap or decay. Overall pretty impressed.

My new car came with keyless locking and I soon realised that the doors could be opened when I was inside my house a considerable distance from the car. With my dongle in my pocket even sitting down would sometimes operate the central locking. Drained battery issues were blamed by AA engineers on frequent activation of the keyless locking system. Use of the Faraday Pouch has permanently overcome the shortcomings of the keyless locking system. Just wish one had been supplied with the car in the first place.

Ever since seeing the ways that keyless entry cars can be stolen with the keys inside your house, this type of product became a must. The items are well made and a set of keys even with a keyring / fob attached also fits pretty well. I have tried opening my car with the keys in the pouch in my hand, i.e. as close to the car as I can get them and I was unable to open the car so clear evidence that the pouch blocks the key signal. Definitely worth the price, which is also good value as you get two pouches.

Does the job. Car doesn’t unlock & lock or even start whilst the key is in the pouch. I’ve also noticed even if the key is sightly in the pouch or being shielded by it, it won’t unlock/lock or even start. Also, heads up for Mercedes (2019-2020) car owners, if you press lock button twice on the key, it disables the key, so it doesn’t transmit a signal and won’t lock/unlock the car. Only down side that I find, is that the pouch could be smaller or custom fitted for that brand of keys. By the time you add the house keys to it and other keys it is bulky. Which I now carry both seperate

It was a shock when our neighbour had their car stolen. I bought these to block anyone coding our car. The car fob fits inside, with a handy chain to pull it in and out. There is a clip on the back for the rest of my keys, which is useful. You have to take the fob out of the pouch completely to make it work. It blocks well. I have put it back once or twice and my dash comes up ‘ key not detected’. It really does work. My husband bought some too, ( great minds), but these were a much better standard.

I have cheaper ones that either lasted a few days or didn’t work. Have had these a few weeks and they are still working fine. Good design in that they allow you to keep other keys clipped to the outside of the pouch enabling just the car key to be on the inside. Also the chain inside the pouch is helpful in that the key is retained and doesn’t drop out. One small criticism is the clip on the chain on the outside is a bit flimsy. My wife’s one broke within a couple of days, but this hasn’t affected the protection the pouch gives to the car key.

Bought this product last year and was very pleased with it. I tested it furiously and was satisfied that the faraday bag blocked the signal. 2 months in and unfortunately the chain which holds the key came away from the holder which was annoying but did not stop me using it. A few more months down the line I was standing about 3-4 meters away from the car with key securely in the farady bag and my wife was able to open the car door. I thought this was a glich so I took the key out locked the vehicle replaced the key in the faraday bag securely and tried again. I was still able to open the car door with the key being 3-4 meters away. Not sure why this has occurred but I conclude that the signal is being leaked somehow, maybe its the contiguous opening of the velcro? A bit dissapointed however it is a good product hence the 4 stars. Well made however the chain could be better secured.

Unfortunately these days items like these are required. Received two cases so used for both sets of car keys. Simply pop the keys in the bag and close it. The bags are fairly spacious, have a Velcro closing, also a chain and key ring included if you want to hang the case on a hook. Have no way of testing it but hopefully it will do the trick and stop a key code scanner from reading the code emitted by the car key. Recommend for anyone who has a keyless entry key system.

I have tested these by putting my jaguar key fob in them and tried to open my car which is keyless entry and start.
Even with the fob been in my hand the door would not unlock.
Spare fob is now stored in one and well hidden away. The fob I use is placed in the other at night and is taken up stairs at night so I don’t think the criminals with there gadgets will be able to open and start the car.
PS. If they fancy there chances with my dog In the house I think it will win as well.

Received these two pouches which appear to be robustly made. The internal and external key clips are super handy. First thing I did was put my car fob inside a pouch and went to test it. Standing next to the car holding the pouch on the car the car would not unlock. Only when I opened the pouch and shook the fob to the top of the open pouch did the car unlock. They do exactly what they claim and what is required. Have recommended to family and friends.

This Faraday bag is well made, & more importantly, it works. If you have your keys inside & stand right next to your car, the doors won’t open.
Having an inner key ring & an outer hook to attach to your belt or bag is very welcome. Previous bags I’ve purchased from another company were the same price as these, but didn’t have the key ring & hook & weren’t as well made.
Protecting your car from having your key cloned for such a small price is a no brainer.
There are two bags supplied, don’t forget to put your spare car keys in the other one!

Very good quality bags, well made, strong and excellent value, but slightly tight for fat car keys. There’s a nice
attachment to hang the bag up and there’s a key ring on a chain inside the bag if you want to keep the keys with the bag when you take them out, I don’t so I tucked this away inside the bag as I suspected it might act as a signal aerial if left dangling outside. 1 star off for the tightness and the pointless key ring inside.

This is a first class product. I tested it by trying to start my car with te key in the pouch. Whoops is didn’t work and that was great. I also find it useful for keeping my credit card in whilst shopping so it can’t be scanned which in these times is a bonus. I feel very safe now knowing that those two things are safe. If you are looking for a keyless car safety pouch look no further this is the one and an extra bonus you get 2. What’s not to like.

This wallet is just the right size for my car key and I attach house keys to the back. I have been using these for several months and they are still in good condition despite being thrown in the bottom of my backpack or bag. The signal blocking actually works very well. The chain inside is very handy to prevent the car key being lost. I would have liked a similar style with the chain and also space to insert my house keys such as another slot or space at the back. However, very good overall.

This pouch is meant to block the signal from your car key fob to your car. This means that once you’ve locked it, you can slip the fob into the pouch, stop the signal to the car and walk away knowing that your car is securely locked. When you return to the car, you take out the fob to reconnect to the car, which allows you to just pull on the driver’s door handle and the door will open – no need even to press the ‘Open’ icon on the key fob. For this modest price, I feel happier that I’m in charge of the connection between the fob and the car, and that nobody else can intercept that signal. The pouch works just fine.

Does the job of isolating the key fob and at a lower price than many competitors. It is quite small, big enough to hold the key fob and stick in another small bag if travelling. I mainly want to use this to secure keys at home to prevent car theft from outside the house and the case isn’t big enough to accommodate key rings and other clutter which is annoying. I would personally like something a little bigger since I ddont want to sue it outside the house.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis item was bought to store/carry my car entry fob. I bought it as a consequence of a colleague of mine having his card ‘read’ while it was in his pocket.
Good workmanship and so far very durable..
The only very slight criticism I could make is that I personally would prefer the chain attached higher up the pouch, but that is purely a personal preference.
