Good espresso every day
I couldn’t be happier with this product! Finally I can enjoy a lovely Italian espresso every day at home! Also, Jolie is easy to clean and use.
Excellent, compostable coffee pods, great flavou
I’ve had one for over 6 months. I buy the red eco pods as a bulk pack from Amazon. They go into the compost once used. Flavour is good. I’ve tried all of the many flavours, and they are all good except decaf. I also have the milk frother, which is great. Milk frother also makes hot chocolate really well.
Compact, does the job well
It is compact, nice looking and makes good coffee. The only struggle is that the cup seems to push the container down but it could be just my setup. Overall we are enjoying it.

Basic But Produces Great Coffee
We have bought a few capsule system coffee machines over the past few years. All have been OK. This time we focused on the flavour of the coffee. Lavazza capsules provide a really excellent and authentic Italian style coffee. Also the machine and capsules are reasonable cost.
Compact and easy to use!
As my first coffee machine, I was looking to save some from buying coffees everyday from Costa and this machine is so impressive! Compact, neat and easy to use. It’s very stylish and fits in well with my kitchen. The pods are relitively cheap if bought in bulk when deals are on. Also so quick and easy to clean! Cannot fault it.

Nice little espresso machine but it’s the lavazza coffee that makes it. Quite slow to get the coffee flowing and isn’t the hottest, however I add preheated hot milk to have a regular coffee so not an issue.
For the price, it’s a decent, uncomplicated basic espresso maker. However, the taste is what’s most important and that’s only really going to be impacted by the quality of the coffee pods you can use. Fortunately, lavazza offer a range of coffee pods to suite many tastes with the intensio being my favourite.

Got this on sale and love it. I have always preferred lavazza coffee so it was a no brainer for me. The machine works as intended. Came with a complimentary box of different blended pods and I enjoyed every one.
Easy and Clean Coffee Machine
Bought as a present for my wife. We both like our coffee black, reasonably strong and hot. This delivers on all fronts. It also remains very clean after operation. Its compact so does not take too much room on a worktop. I’ve only used the standard Lavazza Rossa capsules but it makes a cracking cup of coffee.
Great Little Machine For Work
I have the Jolie and Milk machne at home and a subscription for coffee pods. I treated myself to this for work to have a nice coffee to look forward to at lunch nd avoid the afternoon slump. It didn’t disappoint. Only downside is that it is noisier than the Jolie and Milk.

This is a great little coffee machine, especially for the price. Set your expectations. It’s a fraction of the price of some of the expensive Nespresso machines but makes a great coffee. No bells or whistles. Simple and easy to use. Well worth the money.
great little low price machine - shame eco pods have to be commercially composted
Brought , I confess on a bit of a whim and being sucked in by Black Friday (oh the shame). We had used a Nespresso machine at our daughters whilst staying recently and liked it more than we thought we would. (usually Cafetiere household) and got used to it. less waste in a left over pot.
We were attracted , as well as by the starter level price, by its use of eco pods. Disappointing to find that they have to be composted commercially as our council does not collect food waste , not even at the tip. Will try in our compost bin and see what happens.
Makes a nice brew, bit larger than expresso size but I just add water/milk to it as needed.
No idea what blending power means in context of this capsule using machine so not rated.

This is a smaller machine than our old lavazza and only has one button, so you need to keep an eye on it otherwise it will overfill the cups/mugs. There is no descaling indicator and you have to go online to read the full manual. But we are pleased with it for the price and it will do until we get another lavazza but larger.

Stunning Espresso
This is so easy to use and takes about 30 seconds from start to finish. It’s possible to get good deals on the pods needed to make the coffee.
I really like this product and the coffee is great tasting. Sometimes when you load a pod and pull down the handle it’s like it’s stuck. You can raise the handle and try again but sometimes the pod then falls down without having being used. That said it’s been better than any other coffee machine I’ve had and the coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted.

This is the 3rd small coffee machine I have owned over a few years now. Unless the others were in constant daily use and frequent special cleaning against limescale…..they simply gave up the ghost. The of cause, there was the availability of a coffee pod that suited my personal taste.
I have 4-5 friends with a small coffee machine so I was able to taste and grade their strongest blends. The Lavazza came out on top but the inevitable limescale problem reared its head. Resulting with said friend having to dispose of their machine.
Some some research was needed and sure enough, an answer popped up to use only de-ironized water (battery/ironing water). This sounded really good for me only requiring only 2-3 cups per day max.
The water is relatively cheap in either 2.5 or 5ltr containers. Tesco being a good option when they have it in store.
The site I read this on insisted that the coffee tasted better this way, so I went ahead this purchase. Only time will tell whether the machine continues to live up to its current wonderful operation.
Very pleased - my second purchase
I’ve had an A Modo Mio Jolie for almost 5 years and very happy with it. It has had quite heavy daily use – average about 7 cups of coffee per day – and decided it was time to buy a new one – and have bought the same one again.
With that level of usage – the water reservoir does need filing each day and the used caspules need to be emptied at least once per day. That’s a slight inconvence, so if you’d use it as frequently you might want to think about getting a larger machine with a bigger water tank and used capsue container – and if you’d use it more frequently I advise getting a larger machine.

I expected a single/double option. But experience has overcome this minor fault.
Did a bit of research about coffee machines, apparently the modo mio system was designed by the same person who designed nespresso. He left Nescafe to improve his design and make a more environmentally sustainable system (compostible pods). Anyway this swayed my purchase. Easy to use and great value. 2 things to keep in mind. 1 used pods go into a small “bin” that fills really quickly and of over filled can make it a pain to remove. 2 you can’t fit medium or large size reusable coffee cup under the spout (you can lean them but it seems a bit of an oversight). I still love it and use it every day.

Lovely, compact coffee machine. It’s small but the coffee is sublime. Yes, there are no buttons and the capsules have to be emptied quite often and the water tank has to be topped up after two cups but who cares??! The coffee tastes lovely and for the price, it’s perfect. It’s really easy to use and the coffee tastes great every time. I think it’s a good buy for anyone who likes a decent cup of coffee. The pods are compostable and I think it’s cheaper to buy them directly from Lavazza if you subscribe. Well, I’m happy

I have this little machine for a month… I love it…. I can’t remember surviving without it now. I have tried various pods, all v good. I have my 2 coffees in the morning and then I love having the decaf one throughout the rest of the day. The pods being eco is important to me and other brands should move in the same direction!
The machine makes a satisfying noise as it brews, temperature is good, smell/ taste great, v easy to clean.

This is a great gift for someone who just wants a simple espresso (or lungo) without the faff. You turn it on, stick a coffee pod in, press the button to start pouring then press the button to stop.
It’s also perfect for small kitchens. You can lift the whole thing with one hand. The box it comes in is also very presentable and made for a great birthday gift! It even comes with a box of sample coffee pods so you can start using it right away.
Few things that could be improved:
– It would be nice to have an indicator of when you’ve poured enough. It’s entirely up to you to stop the pour, so you don’t really know whether you’re making the right amount of espresso (unless you have the proper cup).
– It’s not as quiet as they claim. Sounds a bit like a fridge on the fritz. Definitely not a machine you can use next to your sleeping spouse.
– Make sure to pull the lever back so the capsule drops into the used capsule container BEFORE you turn the machine off. Otherwise it WILL get stuck and you’ll have to fumble around to pluck the capsule out next time you turn it on.
Overall a good espresso maker for the price (50) but don’t expect any fancy features. It’s just a simple machine for straightforward coffee.

Great value basic coffee pod machine. Use it with the frother & it makes great tasting milky coffee. It’s not the all singing & dancing type of machine, but superb value for the price.
Recommended by a friend for the small size and lovely coffee. I have a small kitchen so can’t beat for size and the coffee is hot, strong and perfect for me. I’ve mainly been a plunger coffee person up to now, as I’m the only real coffee drinker at home, so this is my new best friend. You get a nice box of mixed pods too, which was a bonus!
This is our third Lavazza coffe capsule machine and the smallest. As there are just 2 of us and we are not having guests at the moment, it’s fine. We use it daily with the wonderful lavazza electric milk frother which was a gift. It does the job. Only holds 4-5 capsules before emptying. We have always had a bigger twin one but this was 200 so a big difference. It’s fine & the coffee is lovely.
