Its a good mower light and good battery life you also get a spare battery which is very usefull ideal for average size lawnd ,its even got a roller .its my first battery mower and i am well pleased with i
Extremely good value for money. The cutting height was lower than my other mower so first cut was a bit low. Cuts wet grass very well all in all a good purchase
Came on time and easy to put together, cuts the grass well and the added strips are nice due to the roller. Easy to use and not to heavy, great grass cutter basket.
I hate reviews where the person gives something 5 stars and then says, “just got it out of the box, really great!”
So,
I’ve had this lawnmower over a year (June 2022), it replaced a very good petrol mower that died after many years of hard work. I was quite dubious about it at first, it cost half that of the petrol mower and seemed (as stated by another reviewer) quite “toy-like”. True it is very light, I can carry it around with one hand, but that is also one of its’ plusses, it can be moved, packed up and stored away and then retrieved without struggling to get it out of a jam-packed garden shed.
I have a good sized garden, it takes about 45 minutes to mow, I need both batteries to complete the job, one is completely discharged by the time I finish and the other is at least down to half, maybe even a quarter charge left. Charging takes quite a while and they cannot go on charge “hot” from use, they need to cool down, by the time I’ve finished mowing I can put the first one on charge, about 40-60 minutes later the second one can go on charge.
The lawn looks very good on the lowest setting, with nice stripes and probably matches my old petrol mower on that score. It does struggle with long grass and first cut of the year, on its highest setting is a slow process, both batteries will be dead by the time I’ve finished and after a day or two needs a second cut to get it down to a nice height, after that it can be cut on the lowest two settings on a regular basis with no problem, but again, leave it too long and it will struggle unless it is on one of the highest settings. In my mind this is the only area it cannot compete with a good petrol mower, but the manufacturer does warn that it cannot cope with grass over a certain height (it does, on its’ highest setting, very slowly and with plenty of stops to ensure it does not burn out – I know I’ve done it, but I wouldn’t recommend it on a regular basis). Bottom line, it will never match a petrol mower on a large garden or very high grass, but for most people it will be plenty good enough and probably cost half the price of a petrol mower and without the faff of storing petrol, checking oil levels and regular maintenance.
Pros:
Light, easy to handle. Fold up handle takes a few seconds to operate so packs away in a much smaller area than my old petrol mower. Good finished cut. Half the price of a good petrol mower and no running costs other than the cost of charging the batteries.
Cons:
Doesn’t have the power of a petrol mower, batteries take a good while to charge, struggles on very high grass. Not self-propelled (like most petrol mowers).
If someone gave me a petrol mower I’d be happy, would I replace this one with a petrol one? No and I would definitely consider buying again if/when this one dies.
I have quite a lot of lawn and was pleasantly surprised to find one charge was sufficient to do the whole lot. The mower leaves nice stripes and I am very pleased with the result.
I made a purchase which included 2 batteries and, because I have 3 lawns, I really thought 1 lawn would drain 1 battery. Totally wrong! I did practically all 3 lawns (approx 12’x36′ in total) on one charge and this was when the grass was overlong. Light weight and very quiet!
I bought this as I struggle using a corded machine. It is still fairly heavy for me to carry at 11kg, not heavy for most.
The first cut was long, so I planned for 2 mows, charging both batteries. I completed most of the cut with 1 battery!
Its easy to use, I can cut 2 fairly large lawns with 2 batteries if I mow weekly, I’m very impressed.
The Lawnmaster lawnmower is light, fast, powerful, and a pleasure to use. Two batteries and a fast charger were supplied with my machine, and I can normally mow my three lawns (total approx 300m2) without waiting for a “third” battery to charge. Even letting the grass grow for more than two weeks, I cut it to 50mm then 40mm with the equivalent of two and a half charged batteries. Grass collection is superb, and the machine requires very little cleaning. BIG AND… No more sweeping paths and patio after that other b****y rotary mower!
I love how it has two batteries so one can be charging while the other is being used. There are different levels of cutting is ideal plus the grass box for collecting.
product as described. works well. battery power good. I am happy with the produc
I ordered this mower/strimmer for my mother following a failure in her previous equipment and whilst it went together well, a couple of screws are missing from the strimmer handle which is disappointing. overlal we will se what it is like when the grass gets its first cu
Bought in May 2022 and very pleased with the lawn mower. Unfortunately one of the two batteries has failed after 11 months hence only the 4 stars.
Took no time to set up very little in fact, grass box handle and the push along main handle and charge batts up. Did my first cut with it and I can’t tell the difference from the old cable mower to this. Goodbye cable hello batt all the way from now on.
Was a bit hesitant at buying cordless but honestly its so simple to use, handle is high so very comfortable to use. Ease of goin from garden to garden is fantastic. Recommend this its a great produc
Excellent value for money and this is a great mower and two battery’s well worth the money
I bought this mower on the basis that as I am getting older, it is not as easy to manouver my Qualcast petrol cylinder mower around my garden.
1st, assembly is easy and uncomplicated,
2nd the batteries (2 of them) charge quickly
3rd The mower is light to use
4th The blade cuts perfectly and the grass collector holds a huge amount
5th The battery gives a huge amount of power when cutting and lasts a long time. On my large lawn it only used 50% of battery power.
Without doubt I am very impressed with this mower. I did review many different models before deciding on this one and I am more than satisfied with my decision.
In regard to the strimmer, I do find it powerful but I am having problems that the strimmer line keeps breaking after a few minutes use which means re-threading. This is becoming a real pain and I think I will need to get a better line from somewhere and see if that improves the use.
Light and easy to manoeuvre; but also does not feel very substantial. May not last. Does a nice cut; roller pretty ineffectual. Used mulch plug and anything other than a light trim clogs underneath.
Easy to assemble, light weight, not had chance to use yet due to weather conditions.
Don’t normally get enthusiastic about a lawnmower. Having had many over the last 40 plus years, this is really good. Lightweight and easy to manage, the cutting height is marked in mm, not just 3 or 4 settings. One simple lever does it all. Cut my 2 50sq metre lawns on one charge. Oh and there’s 2 batteries so if you did run out of charge just swap it for the other. It doesn’t have a battery indicator easily accessible during use however it’s got 2 batteries. Lightweight and easy to store, unlike a petrol mower, can be stored in any orientation, even light enough to hang on the wall. The only negative is that the handle could have a quick release folding mechanism. You have to undo the wingnuts to fold down the handle. Grassbox is good with an indicator when full. Really very good and excellent value.
wanted an easy to use cordless mower which came with the strimmer as a bonus.
What a bit of kit. it’s so light and easy to use and the batteries last for ages
Not the best instructions for assembly but I got there. The mower works brilliantly and the cut is very impressive. The only negative is that because it’s so light weight the roller bar isn’t fantastic at leaving the stripes we all want. But would I buy one again if needed, yes I would. Great battery life and the strimmer was an excellent addition.
It’s like hoovering your laminate floor, it’s that easy to push. 2 batteries so always got one fully charged.
I’m tall but I’m not having to bend over. Iv got an average sized council house sized lawn. And it easily does it twice but can’t do 3, so fab charge
After using a petrol mower for the last 18 years, I decided that now aged 75 I needed something much lighter. Lots of research and wanting to meet my needs as much as possible I chose this model. Easy to assemble, 2 batteries supplied which are very easy
to install and are rechargeed in and approx 1 hour.
So much lighter to use. Cuts really well, grass box (smaller than my petrol mower box) is very easy to remove and empty. I find it’s much quicker to cut my lawn now – size approx 70 x 45 feet.
Have now used twice. In summary, took a little working out for the strimmer rotating positions, mower was a doddle to set up and use, and but both worked great, very happy.
Fully charged both batteries to start (same battery for both items), then mowed the back lawn, front lawn, switched the battery to the strimmer, and used front and back. Used the same battery again, front lawn, and half of the back lawn, before it ran out. Lawn area is about 120ms total, was about 8-10cms long and mostly dry, had no problems…have left the second battery in, should finish the 3rd pass. Height adjustment is super easy and quick, like changing gear in the car. I cut on number 2 and didn’t encounter any turf ripping and the rear lawn is not the flattest currently. Not power assisted, but very light when it’s on the ground anyway. Cutting width for me was fine, maybe 20 passes and I was done.
Assembly was fine, but struggled a little with the strimmer until I found another dimension it rotated on. I don’t think I will be folding the handle on the mower for storage, but it would take a few minutes to do unscrewing the nuts and retightening. Also it is not the lightest to move down the side of the house, but to be fair I think this mower is standard in terms of weight so I will be raising the blade and rolling down he path from now on rather than trying to carry. If you can’t get the grass collector in…remove the mulch tool first!
Haven’t used the mulch feature to not collect the grass yet, and haven’t figured out what the roller is doing yet, but the lawn loos good.
Can be a bit tiresome looking for the right tool, if your garden spec meets mine, stop looking this will do you. Mower is superb, and the strimmer well, strims…and it’s cordless!
Cuts great, mulching is very good and grass collection. Easy to manoeuvre and very light. 2 batteries are ideal. Wish there were quick release for handles instead of knobs. Hard to mow near walls due to handle knobs catching wall. Well built and great value for money compared to some other makes. Would highly recommend.
Like somebody else who has reviewed this lawnmower, it does make a slight pitched noise when in use, I have used the mower twice, and it has done very well. So I think this lawnmower is good value for money.
Easy to assemble and move around, hand grips could be better.
All in all a good purchase
Firstly l must say l have been sceptical about battery mowers for years. Apart from being too expensive in the past, l doubted their capabilities. Having used a Hayter Hawk petrol mower for nearly 20 years, and reaching the age of 71, I decided to make the move to battery power. The decision was helped when the trusty petrol mower kicked back on the starting cord, almost pulling my arm off. Decision made, time to change. I detest dragging cables around, so battery was the obvious choice.
Now the review. I read loads of reviews, both good and bad, including one or two mentioning wheels falling off, and one saying it was only a ‘toy’. Let me say, its deffo not a toy, and all the wheels on mine are still on. The mower arriver next day, brilliant service. I had both it, and the strimmer assembled in about 35 minutes. Brilliant. The weather has been wet, so no try out. But today, 4 days later, l have mowed both lawns. The lawns were still slightly wet, but that didn’t affect the mower. It cut both lawns no problems, and still some life in the battery. The strimmer was fine too. Bonus being able to use same batteries for both machines. So if you have a larger than average lawn, swap them over and charge one whilst mowing. I cant say it will give me the nearly 20 years service the Hayter has, but hopefully it will do between 5 and 10.
Am I happy with my purchase, suffice to say I wish I had bought one years ago, so much easier to manoeuvre being a lot lighter. I might even let my wife have a go, lol.
After using a corded lawn mower for years have found this so easy. Battery does not appear to take long to charge and having the spare is an asset.
This mower works really well. Cuts my grass very good on second height setting. 2 batteries a bonus. Grass Box fits easily and on my previous cordless mower it was awkward. Bought with strimmer which i haven’t used ye
Used it a few times now. Easy to use. Good battery life so far.
I can’t give this anything other than 5 stars. It was not expensive, was a piece of cake to put together and takes on tall grass with ease. The batteries are quick to charge and last a good amount of time and of course you get 2 in the box.
I will note this is a small mower. I may have under estimated the size of my lawn (or maybe the length of my grass) but I was very limited on storage space thus the need for something compact. As such, the grass collection box is quite small and I find myself emptying it often. This is not a fault of the product but do make sure you get something suitable for the size of your lawn. I believe they do bigger versions of this if your garden is bigger.
So 5 starts. Works well, simply to use and great for smaller gardens
I have charged the battery and insert the key but it just won’t sta
I was a little bit dubious over buying this but so far so good. It’s easy to assemble, doesn’t appear to be the most robust but it’s not going to have a hard life. I’ve used it 4 or 5 times and it’s cut my mowing time in half from my electric mower. Just straight up and down, good cut and leaves a stripe. Very lightweight so easy to manoeuvre and store. So far I’m really pleased, I get one and a half cuts per battery so no issues from that point of view for me. If I can get 3 or 4 years out of it I’ll be pleased so time will tell.
Really pleased with this mower, easy to assemble, very light, and no more cables.
Mower easily cuts ‘standard lawn size and quite long grass on one battery charge.
Excellent bit of kit, so impressed I then purchased the strimmer !!!
Solid, easy to put together and the battery life is better than advertised
This lawnmower and strimmer are very easy to assemble and use fast delivery and good value
The unit is lightweight, the battery life is ideal for the mower for a small to medium size lawn. Rear roller is a bit small, but does leave a striped effect on the lawn if the mower is pushed along slowly. Overall the mower is good value for the price.
Extremely well made very impressed.Very easy to assemble and lightweight.Mowed front and back gardens and battery indicator hardly moved. Two batteries is a must and charge time is under an hour.Collapses down nicely and fits in our shed just perfect.Theres no going back to mains operated mowers for me hassle free.
Easy and lightweight but does not give the grass a good close cut.
Both the strimmer and the lawn mower are great so easy with out a cable
I would recommend these products to everyone
I love this mower.
I was tired of keeping fresh petrol for my previous mower, messy, smelly, difficult/impossible to start at times even though it was pretty new, and really heavy + unwieldy.
This new mower is much much lighter and has a carrying handle, so simple to navigate around walls with overhanging trees carrying it with one hand.
It even cuts tough grass better/easier than the petrol mower.
I’m really surprised, its such a breeze to use.
Bought this model as our petrol mower, had become too difficult for my husband to start and manoeuvre following recent pacemaker surgery. I am an 80 year old female and armed with the manual managed to put it together without too much difficulty. The hardest thing was collapsing the handles for storage afterwards. We have a lawn measuring 40′ x 25′ and it was easy for me to use. The battery didn’t run out during the cut and it left some stripes as well. All in all very pleased with our purchase. Maybe we should get the cordless trimmer now as well lol.
I cannot understand the negative review for this product. It works a treat, gives a great cut and the battery lasts for ages.
ecently changed from electric mower to cordless type , very pleased with Lawnmaster mower , was easy to put together ,great to have two batteries although one battery did my reasonable size rear lawn very easily , the product seems well made and easy to adjust cutting heights ,all good at present and will see how it goes over the next few months ,not the cheapest cordless mower but reviews generally were good and i usually work on the basis of you get what you pay for so hopefully will turn out to be a good purchase.
After finding my mower dumped on the front doorstep in the rain for every thief to see whilst I was sitting indoors.I brought it indoors and opened it. After a very short time I had assembled it and my initial anger at my inadequate delivery driver turned to happiness at the actual product. The following day ( today) I have just used it. Work a dream and used only half of 1 battery. Recommend however you should also look at the bigger version 37cm model if you have a big garden.
Mower 10/10. Driver 1/10.
I really like this product. It’s the first time I’ve used/bought a cordless lawnmower and I must say, it’s the way to go! So much easier and with 2 batteries it easily cuts my grass. Infact, I rarely need to use both batteries on the same day.
The batteries charge really quickly too.
This mower is easy to assemble and use. It is lightweight but fairly sturdy. Adjusting the cutting height is very easy. If you have a very large garden it is probably not for you. I found that if the grass is long the batteries run down very quickly. But this will be true for most cordless mowers of the same price (and probably the more expensive ones as well). If your lawn is not too long, you could mow a full size tennis court in area (using the two batteries fully charged). But if the grass is long it could be half of that or even less. Charging a battery takes at least two hours (I didn’t time it carefully though). Overall, one of the better cordless mowers, with the advantages and disadvantages that go with the technology.
I have used this lawnmower 4 times since I purchased it and I still haven’t got anywhere near the stripey lawn I was expecting. My belief is that the rear roller is nowhere near heavy enough to create a proper striping job. That’s a bit of a bummer, so I’ve taken one star off.
Apart from the lack of a stripey lawn, however, this lawnmower has been excellent. The insertion of the battery and the safety key can be fiddly; I am no longer a young ruffian who can kneel down to ground level without a lot of huff and puff and not ending up getting stuck down there. And the straightening and locking of the two sections of the folding handle adds about 10 minutes onto the job of mowing each time, before I even get started.
But, hey, no more dangerous extension lead to worry about running over and giving my remaining hair a frizzy look from accidentally cutting into the electric supply. This mower has got awesome power considering it’s driven by a battery at the bottom end and a pensioner at the top end. My garden is all uphill the further away from our house I go and this mower can be physically heard to ‘change gear’ to take account of extra work needed to get us both to the highest point. I only wish my wife’s wheelchair was just as forgiving when I push her anywhere that has a slope.
My mowing from a fully charged battery is completed with just the red and amber lights on the battery showing at the end. I always have my second battery fully charged just in case it is needed but, so far, on each of the four times I have used the mower, one battery has proved enough.
Storing this mower is ace. It takes another 10 minutes to undo the four screws on the two-fold handles, a few seconds to release the battery and remove the safety key and a couple of minutes to carry the mower inside under cover and store it upright.
I’ve used the mower both with the collection box attached and then without it but with the mulcher thing attached. The collection box is easy peasy to fit but the mulcher thing is a bit fiddly. Both do their respective jobs very well. My one gripe is the lack of a stripey lawn due to an underperforming rear roller; I was expecting my lawn to resemble the Wembley Stadium pitch by now but, there’s always next time…
This is a great mower and strimmer.
My main reservation in committing to the purchase, was whether the battery life would be sufficient enough to mow my lawn in one charge.
I’m pleased to say that I can easily mow my lawn in one charge and I have a fairy large lawn. I estimate just over 30mins of mowing per battery so far. This apparently is dependant on how hard you’re working the motor e.g cutting longer grass.
There are 2 batteries in the package, which are interchangeable between the mower and strimmer. This is useful if you did run out of charge, meaning you could just swap the battery for a fully charged one. The batteries seem to charge quickly, within 2 hours.
The performance of the mower is very good. You can easily adjust the height of the blades and it’s easy to empty the grass cuttings. The motor changes speed/power according to the grass height, which conserves the battery. The strimmer is also great, being very easy to adjust and use. The best part being that both mower and strimmer are completely cordless, which makes things so much easier.
The mower is also very quiet. They are both lightweight in feel and are easily manoeuvrable.
The mower and strimmer require a fair bit of assembly, so don’t expect to use it straight out of the box. It’s nothing complicated but requires you to follow the instructions for specific steps connecting the handles etc. it was a bit of a pain, as I was keen to get mowing! The mower handles fold away nicely when not in use, which is good as it doesn’t take up much space in storage.
My only criticism is that the build quality seems possibly a little on the flimsy side, but you have to consider the price point of this package accordingly to be fair. I may be wrong about this and there are certainly no signs of any durability issues so far, but both the mower and strimmer are quite plasticky.
This being said they are both very ergonomic and look fairly good too.
I’m hoping with normal use there won’t be any issues. I’ve used both about 6 times so far and I’m very pleased with the performance and ease of use.
Overall I’d recommend this product.
Nothing to dislike about this product , we have a wild garden so I needed a mower that was manoeuvrable with no trailing cable that could delicately cut paths through my wild flowers and grass without any damage and this mower fitted the bill very pleased with it.
First use of cordless mower. Very pleased with results. Mower easy to assemble lightweight and easily manoeuvred.
Much easier than using corded mower so far so good!!
Would recommend this lawn master battery mower for those who have small to medium sized lawns
A smart looking and reasonably efficient mower. Easy to operate and maintain. My only problem is that (compared to my previous Bosch) it is lightweight and bounces over the uneven parts of the lawn. So the striping I like so much from the rear roller is uneven and not so professional. However, as a machine to mow longish grass, it is fine.
I love this ! Having been used to corded ones it use to take forever to unwind the extension then again winding it back up. I shopped around before deciding on this , having decided it’s the best value because of the 2 batteries. Mind I can do both the front and back garden on one battery. It’s a fantastic mower only sorry I didn’t get it sooner saves so much time
This mower was bought to replace my unreliable and heavy petrol machine. It has now been used twice and has dealt easily with my large rear lawn using the power of one battery + a third of the second. If I have any fault with the mower it is that the collection bag is rather small, based on what I was used to, but time spent cutting my lawn has been greatly reduced.
Small, easy to use. Make sure you have both batteries charged so you can swap them over as one might not last long enough
I really like this mower. It’s light weight, easy to store, easy to manoeuvre and does a great job of cutting the grass. The fact it comes with two decent batteries is a bonus and there’s a roller fitted to the UK model as well 🙂
We can mow both our front and back lawn with a single charge on one battery. Overall very impressed. This beats my old Flymo hover mower hands down. It cuts to the edge reducing how much time I need to use the strimmer. It also makes far less mess!
I have a small to medium lawn and had to use the second battery as the first was not enough. The grass collection box is small and needs to be emptied often. Would have given 5 stars if I had a small lawn. There are however cheaper lawnmowers for smaller lawns.
The mower has good height adjustment and does a good job of cutting the lawn, but is just a fraction too small for my lawn.
My 34cm Lawnmaster baattery mower has so far proved excellent in all respects . I still have my old petrol mower but My new Lawnmaster is so fuss free that it is a pleasure to use . I am totally persuaded.
I tried an old style push lawn mower first as a replacement for my old petrol mower but wasn’t good enough, a corded mower wasn’t an option as I didn’t want to get an outside socket or run an extension lead from the house and change it from front to back, so opted for battery powered and it surprised me in a good way.
I contemplated more powerful and wider mowers and I’m curious as to what a more powerful mower can do as 2x 24v was enough to easily strim and cut 3 week long grass on 2nd lowest height, I’m sure first spring cut I might need to start at the highest and work my way down but with 2 batteries it should be ok, though at 34cm wide it takes more time to cut compared to my old mower.
I did lots of research and discovered this gem. For me this beat the Worx and Geenworks offerings in the medium budget cordless lawnmower space.
Unlike a lot of other mowers at this price you get a brushless motor, 2 x 4.0ah batteries, a 30 min fast charger, compact storage and auto power adjust for thicker grass.
Yes it’s a bit plasticky but it’s strong where it counts and durability doesn’t worry me. If you look after it and keep your expectations in check then flat lawn mowing should be a breeze for years.
It cuts really well down to 2cm and makes nice stripes. The bag filled up quickly due to longer first cuts but it fills every inch.
The batteries last about 30mins each on average. I have 350m2 to mow and the 2 batteries are more than enough. I’d guess they would manage 600m2 between them. I deliberately chose against mowers with 2.0ah batteries as after a few years their life probably won’t hold up. But these should see me through.
The mower cuts fine all the time, as long as you’re not expecting it to march through thick rough on the 20mm setting quickly, but it ups the power automatically when the going gets rough. This will drain the battery faster. But this set can cope with that.
The mower is pretty quiet and I don’t believe the 96db sticker. It’s no louder than a vacuum cleaner.
You can pick up this mower from Cleva.com themselves (lawnmaster manufacture) for 225 with their 10% voucher code which is a steal. But I preferred the buy now pay later Amazon offered (60/month no interest)
I chose this combo kit at 299 to have the strimmer too which is great. And it lasts ages on these 4.0ah batteries. Probably an hour or more on each battery. It’s quite loud but average for strimmers I’d say. Use ear defenders for a long job.
All in all a great mower/trimmer set for small to medium sized lawns. Grab it.
Super lightweight mower replacement for petrol which was getting harder to start and lift due to my advancing years cuts just as well battery life great wish I’d bought one years ago
Used for 1 year now. Makes really good stripes on the grass. Got the leaf blower and hedge cutter also and a total of 4 batteries. Cuts 425m2 using only 2 batteries. And the charger is very fast. If you keep swapping the batteries in the charger while working you basically have unlimited use of the gardening equipment without running out of battery.
One of the wheels fell off in the first week. Contacted the company and they sent out a replacement part overnight. So great communication and help from the company if anything goes wrong with the equipment.
Recommend buying the full set of everything they sell for the garden, so you get more batteries as they can be swapped between them.
This mower is excellent – very similar to the one I can no longer use due to fact that I cannot get a replacement battery as it is 6 years old. The only criticism I would have is that the isolator key fits in under the battery and can be quite awkward and also the usage meter is on front of battery so hard to see but otherwise a very good product and at least I get 2 batteries
Easy to assemble, came with 2 chargeable batteries, and the mower was easy to handle and cut the grass nicely. It was a bit weighty for me though when need to carry it. Unfortunately, during the first time use, the small metal hub which secure one of the front wheels came off! Thankfully, Cleva company sent the spare part and it’s all good again.
Easy to use and important for me – lightweight. Good to have two batteries. For my medium sized flat lawns one battery lasted for two cuts back and front i.e. 4 lawns. A good sized grass box or you can use it in mulching mode and let the grass go back into the lawn. I haven’t used it in this mode yet as I bought my mower late in the season so preferred to remove the grass over the winter period.
I kept deliberating whether to buy it or not but after getting lots of positive responses to my question placed on Amazon I went ahead and have not regretted it.
Have used this mower throughout this summer. So much easier and quicker being cordless. Yes it’s not keen on long wet grass but that’s the same as the corded mowers I have used. I just raise the mower up a bit when it’s too long. No problem. Only slight downside is bit fiddly folding the mower back up to put in my storage shed. But at least it does fold up. Very pleased with product so far.
It is so nice to start a mower with the press of a button rather than a pull cord. The mower is light but a little flimsy so hope it lasts
This mower is light , easy to use, and for it’s size it’s powerful. It’s not large and the ad makes it look bigger than it actually is so I would only recommend it for a small lawn. Our’s is 40ft x 40ft and it’s perfect for it.
In the past I’ve had cable mowers that have done an equally good job for a third of the price but if you don’t have a compost heap for cuttings, a mulching mower is the answer, and this model mulches very well.
Really good mower. Fairly easy to assemble. Some parts were stiff as they were new, but not a difficult mower to assemble. We are used to an electric mower and this one does seem heavy to push, especially if the grass is a bit long. Check weight of other mowers if this is an issue. We haven’t had a battery mower before so didn’t know what to expect. It makes a really good job of the lawn and the battery is still half full when we have mown both the front and the back. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. A good price too.
I ordered this cordless mower yesterday evening and it arrived lunchtime today. I charged both batteries while assembling the machine which took a few minutes.
I have use the mower once and found it an excellent piece of kit, it a bit strange not having to flick a power cable away from the lawnmower. It cuts very nicely and appears to have ample power.
The look of it is very similar to my old Qualcast electric mower and the grass collection box is identical, so I will be hanging onto it as a spare.
The machine is great, the cut is great, super light weight and the battery life is more than enough for our small lawns however the bolt from the wheel has come off already, so having to try and figure out how to keep it on when mowing.
Very happy after 1st cut, lightweight and love the re-chargeable batteries. My only issue is the handle for the grass collector is broken. I have emailed the compony today, so hopefully will get a new handle.
After heaving on the ‘rip cord’ of my beloved ‘Harrier 41’ petrol mower without success yet again, I reluctantly gave in to my 76 years and two heart attacks and bought this mower (which arrived the next day). Assembled in 10 minutes, light to carry over a couple of steps, easy to adjust the blade height and plenty of choices, 2 batteries, fold-down handle for economical storage, three areas of stripey lawn later (on one battery), I can confirm that this mower is GREAT! Well packed, no wheels fell off, all parts were included – and if it looks like a Lego machine as noted in a review, Lego has certainly upped its game since I played with it with my Grandchildren!! That having been said, it’s not a high-end metal casing machine, it’s a modern, light, economical little workhorse and ideal for my needs without the stress of starting it, filling petrol cans at the garage and oil checking, etc. and copes with my weed-infested uneven lawn beautifully. It s also very easy to clean afterwards with a dustpan brush and a flick over with a soft cloth.
One cautionary note – be sure to wear your glasses if you lower the height of the blade on your second pass – I didn’t and lowered it 3 notches instead of 1 by mistake, however the affected bit of lawn is looking much better now!!
Good lawn mower, the batteries last quite some time!
The only issue I have is that the grass collection bag is quite small so you have to empty it quite often.
Have just moved to new house and only have small garden so did not want large expensive lawnmower.
This product came with good reviews and very reasonably priced. Also excellent that two batteries and charger are included.
The mower is easily assembled in 5 minutes. Casing is plastic and bit flimsy but well put together.
Have just done first cut of grass and was shocked at just how powerful this mower is. The grass was around 5 inches high but this machine sailed through it. Very lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and cuts nice and close to edges. Collection box small but more than adequate.
Can’t wait for grass to grow so can use it again.
Would highly recommend this excellent little mowe
My previous corded flymo hurt my back on the slight incline on my grass so i have been on the lookout for a new mower for some time. Having checked out all the usual lawnmower guides and whittling down the selection through vast selection this was one was my 2nd preference after looking at some previous comments photo’s. Long story short could not get 1st choice delivered so went with this.
Pro’s
1. Quite straightforward to assemble even for a DIY novice such as myself.
2. Grass does leak out the side UNTIL i realised i had not clipped the side of the collection bag properly which gave me a much better fit as per photo.
3. Much quieter than previous corded mower.
4. Was able to get some striping effect.
Con’s
1. For compact storage the handles need to be unscrewed, they dont just fold.
2. The height selection handle does not seem as fluid as my neighbours cheaper store bought one (however its still easy to use).
All in all i am happy i made the change to cordless and pleased with the end result and i would and have recommended this to friends family. This was my first use straight out of the box with no charging of the battery, mainly because its my green bin tomorrow and rain is expected shortly, batteries are now on charge and will try to update how long they last on a single charge.
I did a lot of research of different reviews before deciding on this cordless lawnmower. I am very pleased with my purchase. It comes with two 4 amp batteries & one battery is enough to cut both my front and back lawns (each about 90 sq meters) the battery take less than two hours to charge, so basically you always have two fully charged batteries on hand. One review that I read referred to it as a toy!!! If that is the case, then it’s my favourite toy. It’s light enough to carry, but sturdy enough to do an excellent job.
I love this lawnmower. I am disabled but found it easy to use. I did find the instructions a little difficult to understand however. But helpful neighbours put me right. The 2 batteries were a godsend as I had only done half of one of my lawns when the battery ran out. It was so easy just to swap the batteries over. I was a little dissapointed at the roller. My lawn did not have the longed for stripes, but perhaps the grass was not long enough to begin with. Maybe next time.
The only reason i am doing this review is because of the one that said it was like a toy! Totally disagree. I once owned a Mountfield petrol mower and every other kind over my 40 years of mowing and this is no toy. Don’t get me wrong it is not a Mountfield either, but after much research and looking at what is out there it ticks all the boxes. My first cordless needed to be light, we have many steps and give a great cut quality over about 250 m2. I once had a Suffolk punch! and play golf. I am currently out of action but my wife has just used the new mower for the first time (and her first time ever cutting the grass) and we delighted.
After years using a clunky old mower and miving an annoying power cable around i wanted a lighter, battery operated mower. I’m very pleased with this machine. The battery lasts really well and there’s a spare too. It’s light, easy to store, easy to use and cuts well. Would highly recommend this mower.
Was unsure whether it would work for us as our garden isn’t small. Although we do need to empty grass collection box more often than old petrol mower, but it is relatively lightweight and does do a good job, nice stripes in lawn after cutting, good close to edge cut. Can’t do whole garden on one battry so glad I ordered two, but I’ve always got one on charge so it’s a non issue.
Much quieter and cleaner than the petrol mower and very easy to set up and use. Need a little push power in some areas, as isn’t self propelled as my old mower was but other than that I love it. Easy push button start too which I love.
Bought after a similar mower bought from Argos had to be returned for a refund.
Quick delivery & easy to assemble but when I went to use the mower, a wheel fell off because of a missing cap on the spindle. A quick response from the maker but the tiny cap took about a week to arrive.
A good range of cutting levels, but the lever is a bit of a fiddle to use.
All in all, happy with the mower & the strimmer.
There was a fault with the first mower, but the company quickly replaced it and the second one works a treat. It’s light and the handle can be folded up and the machine stored on its nose, so it takes up very little room in the shed. It’s also pretty quiet in operation — way quieter than my neighbour’s petrol mower and much quieter than my old corded electric which it replaced. I’ve got quite a large lawn, which takes 1.5 batteries, so the provision of two batteries in the pack is a great idea. They charge quite quickly too. I wondered whether the lowest setting of 20mm would be low enough, but it does a really good neat job, and thereafter there are 10mm setting up to 70mm for a range of cuts. I have different levels in different parts of the lawn; adjustment is easy and the result is great. Trailing a very long lead to mow the lawn was always a bit of a frustration, and this mower really does make a huge difference — no lead, and light and manoeuvrable. The collecting bag is capacious and the clippings pack into it efficiently as the mower cuts. There is a really neat, simple system for indicating ‘bag full’, only dependent on airflow through the bag, and it’s very effective.
Decided to replace my heavier petrol mower and strimmer with something much lighter, much quieter and not reliant on fuel. After reading reviews and comparing specs for many brands I decided to go for the Lawnmaster, and have to say that I’m very pleased I did. Excellent bundle includes the mower, strimmer, two x 24V batteries and charger. Both mower and strimmer are very easy to assemble and use. Delivery was quick and you wouldn’t think that all items are contained in the box…..but they are. Lovely and light and cuts really well. I have it set to its lowest level of 2cm and it easily compares to the petrol mower. One battery easily lasts for the amount of lawn (approx 50 – 60 square metres) and the same for the strimmer. Great to have a battery for each. The strimmer is also nice and easy to use and very light and has some wheels that you can attach to make it even easier to use. The mower cannot be operated without first attaching the safety plug, so a very good safety feature where youngsters are concerned. Great bundle, very pleased all round and does a lovely job of cutting the grass.
This product arrived promptly and was very easy to assemble. I have two lawns of reasonable size and this mower does both on one battery, with still one green and the red light showing the charge.
The mower handles long grass well. My grass was long because of the delay in my last cordless mower giving out and this new one arriving. The mower also handles long wet grass well, I’d say better than the previous mower, and the long wet grass doesn’t seem to drain the battery much, certainly less than my last mower.
A couple of very minor niggles. The trigger levers feel very flimsy, as though they’re about to break, and there are what feels like sharp-ish edges on the levers. They don’t look sharp and they haven’t cut me yet. but it feels uncomfortable.
The strimmer is just as good; better than my last one even though it’s slightly smaller.
Overall, a great buy with no real complaints.
Update:
have used this mower twice, the first time on the highest setting as the grass was very long, than when I used it the second time I set it at a medium setting and the cut was very low, lower than I would ever use. So I don’t know just how low the lowest setting cuts, but be careful.
All said, a great purchase, and having no cable to bother with is a bonus.
Bought for my husband as he was struggling with our mains mower (long cables and heavy) . This has been a really good investment so much easier to handle and cuts grass well has the added bonus of 2 batteries . Had a small issue with the charger that was efficiently dealt with by the manufacturer. Really good customer service prompt reply and kept informed till resolved. Recommended.
We wanted replacement for our petrol mower . We have a fair bit of lawn and did wonder if the machine would be as efficient as it needed to be with just batteries. It is pretty good. Not 5 star, as it has to work hard if the lawn is anything other than slightly long and likewise if there’s a bit of damp in it. So both batteries are needed in every cut for us. But it’s pretty good . The mower leaves a nice stripe and the box is decent sized. As long as it stays reliable we will be happyWith our purchase!
Ordered this product to replace my petrol mower as I was finding it harder and harder to start the older I’m getting and didn’t want to keep relying on my other half before I could cut the grass. purchase also based on reviews and I was not disappointed arrived 2 days early and was well packaged. I couldn’t wait to try it out, it was easy to put together so didn’t take long bonus is 2 batteries and came ready charged so was good to go. The mower is easy to manoeuvre and light weight I have put some before and after pics up of my lawn and as you can see it’s quite big, the battery give 30 minutes charge time which was more than enough and the cut was done on its lowest setting. My only criticism is although the grass full indicator on the box is a good idea I don’t like how it stays open as the fine cuttings fly out due to the flap being open while it’s filling. It stays closed when it’s full. But other than than that minor thing I love my new mower it’s given me new found independence I’m definitely converted. So what you waiting for you won’t be disappointed it’s also great value for money with the strimmer as well. I haven’t tried that out yet but if it’s anything like the mower it will do it’s job well.
I’m no expert on lawnmowers, in fact this is the first mower I’ve ever purchased. Bought because of good reviews and two batteries too be honest. I’m a woman in my 60’s, found it really easy to assemble, quickly charges. Only gripe is the grass box is sometimes fiddly to attach and fills quickly which makes it cut out. Obviously I need to keep on top of cutting it. Leaves noticeable lines, hope this helps
Easy to put together and batteries had good charge already. Very light piece of equipment making it perfect for a woman to use. Cut the grass well and the box told me when it needed to be emptied. I will never return to a petrol machine with a rip cord to start it, press the button and off you go. Money well spent.
This mower pleasantly surprised me. I’ve never been greatly impressed by cordless equipment but this mower certainly proves me wrong. A joy to be free of cables. I do however find the height cutter control very difficult to change. This may be my fault and with time, hopefully, I’ll get the knack of doing it. Highly recommended this mower. It’s tougher than it looks and the grass is cut in no time.
Let’s start off with delivery. Both Items in the box compact and complete. Two days for delivery.
Took me 15 mins to assemble them. Happy days not fiddley at all. An idiot could do it.
Great burnt orange colour.
Like most of any of the reviews about cordless lawnmowers battery dosnt last long. They only come with one or just body. This one comes with two!! Another bonus!
I have a large front garden same size as back garden, so I thought instead of doing both let’s do one first and keep going over it until battery runs out. Started on level three. Easy to cut straight over in One run. Ok so let’s go shorter to level 1, this was when it was harder to push and heavy , I do have a slight incline. I’m a woman we always moan. So that was two runs. Then I thought ok 2 runs done. Let’s go for a third. 1/3 rd through battery died.
This means I could easily do my back garden and front with one battery . Ace! Then I could use edge cutter with second battery.
Edge cutter is light weight and movers around easily.
I am pleased with this bundle.
Just a tip. I charged batteries fully before use. When it goes stationary green it’s fully charged. 30 mins it took when I first used it.
Definitely beats using an electric lawnmower no more throwing the cord from shoulder to shoulder.
We’ve had this item for a couple of months now and couldn’t take be happier.
We have had a couple of the predecessors so know the brand.
This latest version is a great improvement and the company have listened to feedback and adapted this latest model to accommodate.
The carry handle is great for carrying the mower and especially for transporting from front to back garden snd vice versa.
It is light weight so no issues with carrying. Another great improvement is the battery power. The new battery charges quickly and has enough battery power for our fairly large lawns. It’s actually comes with 2 batteries so I can’t imagine it running out, even for those lucky enough to have huge gardens.
All in all, a great product and would recommend to all.
Easy to assemble. Mows great, I have switched from a petrol mower. This mower has a roller a mulcher and 2 batteries.
It applies more power as needed when I comes across dense grass load. The load bag holds more grass than it appears. 2 loads fill an old fashioned bin.
Only briefly used the mulcher is does what you expect. Don’t expect top of the range petrol mower mulcher standard, still does a great job.
Easy to clean, light wieght and folds back down into the original box for storage.
Only owned a few weeks so durability and charge carrying of the batteries is yet to be seen.
Some assembly required (only to be expected to keep the box smaller). Instruction manual very clearly laid out, easy to use.
A well constructed product with usable instructions, doesn’t happen often!
Small issue with the battery charger, it wasn’t showing as charging. A quick shove to the battery to ensure the contacts were actually in the right place, and all was well.
Bit of a prequel: I do a lot of mowing and originally bought a Flymo cordless four years ago. The brick of a battery took some persuasion to lock in and, quickly, the battery terminals bent. Replaced by Flymo, the machine was good but , last August, same battery problem. I gave the machine away to someone who reckoned they could fix it.
I then bought the ‘new ‘ Flymo as they looked like they’d fixed the battery issue (2 easy fitting smaller units). Only it seemed the ‘battery dept’ had now worked on the body – tinny, too light and full of problems. To adjust the height, you had to manoeuvre each wheel out of its spring onto a different setting. Of the 3 heights, the highest didn’t engage the roller and the lowest made the whole body scrape along the ground – grass looked scalped. The collection bin was so angled, it spilt clippings every time you took the basket off and it meant the bin never filled as all the clippings fell to the front.
Then I found the batteries lasted about 15 minutes and took three hours to show a full charge.
After a lot of arguing with Flymo/Husqvarna they sent me one spare battery (bear in mind batteries were selling for 70-100 each). Yeah, that won’t work. So they sent another. No note, no apology, just a battery. OK, whatever, at least it meant I could do all the mowing without having to rush it, despite the machines other faults.
Coming out of winter hibernation in its recommended “cool and dry ” setting, 3 of 4 batteries completely dead and un-chargeable. Argument ongoing.
So I needed another machine and faced the big matrix of cost/reviews/battery life/ cost of spare battery and even the height adjustment + bin level.
By chance, at the end of my search I came across this one and what caught my eye was the spare battery they supply.
First use done and very impressed
– reassuringly weighty
– five height adjustments from a simple lever
– roller engages at all levels
– done all front and back lawns on one battery. There is a charge light on the battery but haven’t checked it.
– the blade is super sharp and gives a good cut
– the collection bin is not only level, there’s a clever little flap top right which bounces open on air flow. No bounce means the bin is full. No leaking on extraction either.
– generous top flap on bin means you can deposit the odd found item inside without taking the bin off
– the machine is very quiet
– easy to assemble, although the picture instructions are small and look awkward
– the battery is easy to clip in and there’s a better safety feature in a pronged key on a tied thread. Much safer to see the key is out rather than the Flymo turn off/on against symbols you can’t easily see.
Couple of iffy points, one is nothing, other being addressed
– for some reason the collection bin has ventilation holes in the bottom, meaning bits fall out, especially when tidying up with the loose bin on the paving.
– there’s nothing in the box about a guarantee (e mail to supplier)
So , all in all, very impressed with this smart efficient mower and the only one I’ve seen with a spare battery (again, most other machines offer a spare one for about 90)
A really good product and reasonably priced. Good delivery. 2 year guarantee is a great point. Hopefully we won’t have to worry about that. Still early days though. Easy assembly. Recommended!
We bought this to replace a corded lawnmower and a corded grass trimmer and WOW what a difference it makes. Super easy to get set-up and start cutting straight away without having to faff with extension cables and swapping and changing power cables. Order arrived quickly and took less then 10 minutes to unpack and set-up. Build quality appears to be impressive but still very light, and very intuitive to use. Particularly like that both the grass trimmer and lawn mower use the same battery and that they include 2 so never have to worry about being without charge, although 1 battery was more than enough for by medium sized garden. Overall, very impressed and would recommend. The pickup of grass and finish to the lawn is perfect.
