Mein groer (8J) hat das Mario Set und der kleine will nun mit spielen und hat nun Luigi bekommen.
Ich musste erstmal beide Figuren updaten damit sie miteinander spielen konnten.
Mario und Luigi knnen sich nmlich verbinden und dann knnen sie die Levels Gemeinsam/Gegneinander spielen
Das Set beinhaltet Luigi als interaktive Figur – eine groe DrehWippe einen ? Block und 3 Figuren (unter anderem einen rosa Yoshi 🙂 )

Eccellente prodotto, recuperato con uno sconto PRIME ad un prezzo “onesto”. Questo set introduttivo permette poi di essere espanso con i vari set che NON contengono i personaggi principali (Mario e Luigi).
Pu essere combinato con l’altro set introduttivo di Mario per giocare assieme ad un’altra persona in contemporanea, anzi consigliabile in quanto i due set presentano ostacoli, blocchi interattivi e nemici diversi.
E’ necessario scaricare una app ufficiale di circa 1,5 GB non perfettamente ottimizzata, sia per utilizzare il gioco come pensato sia per avere le istruzioni di montaggio. L’app non particolarmente ottimizzata quindi consiglio di scaricarla preventivamente e valutare PRIMA dell’acquisto come gira sul vostro cellulare.
ATTENZIONE: il set non contiene il libretto di istruzioni, le istruzioni di montaggio, sia video che interattive, sono presenti sull’app. Altrimenti bisogna attivarsi in autonomia per recuperare i PDF da internet.
Abbiamo regalato questo set a un bambino di 5 anni: un successone! Nonostante le minuscole parti lo ha montato completamente in autonomia, semplicemente seguendo le istruzioni (purtroppo solo in versione digitale, tramite app da scaricare)molto chiare e dettagliate. Il gioco in s limitato, a parer mio, il bello come tutte le lego, la fase di montaggio che unisce il divertimento, la manualit, la suspense. Qualit al top, gli incastri resistenti, non come certe imitazioni che sono inutilizzabili perch al primo movimento si distruggono in mille pezzi. E qui ovviamente ne risente il costo, sempre un po’ troppo alto. All’ interno della confezione troverete 7 bustine contenenti ciascuna una parte del set, noi quindi ne abbiamo approfittato per farlo montare in diversi momenti giusto per allungare i tempi In ogni caso assolutamente consigliato anche se i bambini non dovessero avere ancora sei anni.

This Mario set is ace, you will need 2 x AAA batteries to power Mario, then you will need a Smart Device to download the Lego Super Mario App and connect via Bluetooth and update, lots. Once this is done you will need to open the app to build the course, there are NO manual instructions.
Once built it is a carbon copy of the video game but in Lego, superb. You get a Mario interactive figure and a Bowser Jr. The rules are the same timer, knock out baddies and collect coins. Along the way there are jumps, roundabouts, seesaws and ramps, love it.
Overall I’d thoroughly recommend this set, especially at the moment as there is 40% off.
Bought this for my son and you don’t really get that many peaces. It’s a big box and you would think your getting more but your not your only paying the high price because of interactive mario

Also, we paid 30 on here where everywhere was 50. We got the Luigi one before Christmas from Tesco & kicked myself when I saw them here for 20 less!
So, the pack comes with separate numbered bags, and you need to download the app for instructions BUT the instructions are literally step by step with 3d models you or your kids can rotate with just a simple slide of the finger. My son managed to build a few of these sets pretty much by himself – needed a more accurate pair of hands occasionally.
The Mario inside requires AAA batteries but it’s so worth it. He interacts with the set and you set up a little course with the app for him to run through and collect coins. Mario also interacts with other characters like Luigi and when you pull his pants down or spin him around in circles you get a fun surprise.
Could not recommend these sets any higher. And at this price it’s soooo worth it!
Bought this as a replacement for my son as he damaged his mario figure. My son loves his lego mario. The figure is very expensive to buy so ensure your child is taking great care especially with the interactive figures

Great for kids and Mario fans
Thought we would buy this for my 7yo who likes Lego but isn’t mad about it. He loved building this and enjoyed playing with it but on its own it’s pretty basic but buying other sets to make it less basic is going to prove very expensive.

My grandson loved the lego, despite me getting the wrong sort. He’s now collecting this one. He particularly likes the moving parts and that it’s interactive. Great gift.

My 8 year old has wanted these for a while now so we ordered a starter set and 2 extra sets for Christmas. Easy to set up and great fun, a new way to enjoy lego. Only downside is you have to download an app just to get the instructions which could have simply been placed in the box.
My godson has a serious Lego collection already and he’s not quite yet 5 now I have been told by his father that he is also beginning an adoration of Super Mario. Which is understandable. (Might stem from his father impossible to determine at this stage..)
Having spoken with one of his other godparents and some of the family, I decided we’d get him this amazing new hybrid starter set for the Lego and Super Mario collection, with add ons coming from others.
It really looks amazing in its mix of physical bricks and digital interaction.
I can’t wait to go and visit them in the new year as I desperately want to play with the set myself.

Bought as a Christmas gift fir my grandson so he hasn’t opened yet. Delivery was great.
I know there is some animosity toward this line because it isn’t ‘mini figures’ and I am one of the voices who would love mini figure Mario but it is unfair to judge this on what it isn’t.
What you get is the usual Nintendo innovation and the usual Lego fun. I actually really like the interactive nature of Lego Mario and, more importantly, so does my 6 year old son. I think it’s electronic component is fun.
If you are unaware: Lego Mario is a battery powered toy that interacts with the rest of the Lego – put him on a red plate and he acts like he is getting burnt, put him on top of a Goomba and he collects a virtual coin etc. I think this works really well and is fun; it’s something different.
From a display perspective I also think the line looks good. The Mario characters look good and I have got some displayed around the living room.
The contents of this set are very robust as well and have taken a lot of playing with without falling to pieces which is always good for Lego.
This set is the only one to come with the Mario character and also has a green pipe and a end level flag (all of which are needed to play the game of collecting coins in a time period). It’s also comes with a Bowser Jr. build and a goomba (both robust and well made).
There are no stickers to be applied (which I appreciate with Lego) and has several nice printed pieces.
Overall:
Playability is very high and it still provides fun for all the kids.
Durability is high as the main characters have all survived lots of playing.
Buildability is low. It is easy to build but it isn’t a fun set to build because there isn’t much to build. I also don’t like that there are no physical instructions – it’s all on the tablet.
Displayability is high but mainly because I love Mario and love seeing these characters in Lego form.
Affordability is, at the original price of 50, I would say ok – it is understandable with all the tech being bought. At the 30 you often see it at now it is a very good price and I would highly recommend it.

The Mario figure is very well built and is loads of fun. The lego itself is also great. We got it with a damaged box for a discounted price, which was a steal, but would also recommend at full price
Easy for the kids to assemble and is well made.
This Lego sets is one of the two starter kids for the Lego Super Mario line.
The starter sets introduce the interactive character (in this case Mario, the other Luigi) and also the interactive app that you use to follow building instructions for this.
The whole thinking behind this is that it gets you to build a bunch of different elements and then encourages you to link them in different ways.
These elements include various bar coded bricks that cause different visual and sound reactions from Mario.
I got this as I had actually got hold of the Reznor expansion already and couldn’t test any of it without Mario. I’m a big fan of Mario and Nintendo though so this has been a great choice for me.
This set works great for both play and display. I love the look of the course and being able to reconfigure it easily. I also enjoy switching Mario on and messing about with the different elements of the course. Younger family members love this.
Overall great concept and great execution from Nintendo.
Good value cant say much yet about it because its a birthday present in december but it looks good

LEGO hat sich in den letzten Jahren mit speziellen Sets auf die erwachsenen Fans gestrzt. Wer bereits als Kind viel mit LEGO gespielt und seine kreativen Welten, Fahrzeuge und Flugobjekte gebaut hat, wird vielleicht auch im erwachsenen Alter wieder zu LEGO greifen. Fan-Objekte aus der Star Wars Serie, die Saturn V oder der Nachbau der ISS stehen vielleicht als Sammlerstck in einer Vitrine. Vielleicht erfreut sich der Vater aber auch nur daran seinem Sohn besondere LEGO Momente zu ermglichen. Wie es auch sei, die Vielfalt und Komplexitt der verschiedenen Sets ist gro und spricht mittlerweile viele Altersstufen an.
Mario und Luigi als LEGO-Figur
In letzten Jahr hat LEGO eine Innovation vorgestellt. Es handelt sich um ein neues Spielkonzept welches den Helden Super Mario in die LEGO-Welt holt. Super Mario kann mit einer Bluetooth Verbindung per App verbunden werden und Steine erkennen. Im echten Leben knnen nun Mnzen gesammelt werden, gegen Piranha-Pflanzen oder Bowser gekmpft werden. Das ist ein sehr spannendes Spielkonzept, was endlich mal wieder voll und ganz die Kinder anspricht.
LEGO Super Mario — das Spielkonzept
Bentigt wird in jedem Fall ein Starter-Set dem neben einer ersten Welt auch die Super Mario Figur beiliegt. Seit August 2021 kann man das Luigi Starterset erwerben und so entscheiden ob man mit Luigi, Mario oder einfach beiden in die Super Mario Welten eintaucht. Die Figuren stehen im Mittelpunkt des Spiels. Der Grundgedanke ist es ein Super Mario Level im Kinderzimmer aufzubauen. Dazu gehren Super Mario oder Luigi als Figur. Beide knnen separat agieren oder in einem speziellen Modus gemeinsam durch das Level bewegt werden. Die Sets enthalten verschiedene Aktionssteine mit denen digitale Features erprobt und gespielt werden knnen. Sowohl die Super Mario Figur wie auch die Luigi Figur interagieren mit diesen Aktionssteinen.
Super Mario auf der Startrhre
Die beiden Figuren sind mit einer integrierten LCD-Technologie ausgestattet. Auf dem Bauch von Super Mario und Luigi ist ein kleines Display angebracht, ebenso die Augen. Dazu enthalten sie einen Lautsprecher. Die Figuren knnen verschiedene Gesichtsausdrcke annehmen, Musik spielen und sprechen. Das Display im Bauch zeigt den Spielstand an und informiert ber die Aktionen der verschiedenen Steine, es lsst die Zeit ablaufen und mehr. Im Fu von Super Mario und Luigi ist je ein Sensor integriert, der die Farbe der Steine erkennt. So werden etwa rote Steine als Feuer erkannt, grne Steine als Rasen. Die Figuren haben zwei Knpfe auf der Rckseite. Mit dem Ein- und Ausschalter kann man Super Mario und Luigi erwecken oder wieder in den Schlaf schicken. Der zweite Knopf ermglich eine Bluetooth Verbindung herzustellen und den Spielstand, die Welten in der Super Mario App zu begutachten. Super Mario und Luigi bentigen fr den Betrieb je zwei AAA-Batterien.

Die App wird in jedem Fall bentigt, denn bei dieser Spielserie werden keine Aufbauanleitungen mitgeliefert. Das begre ich, denn durch die Reduzierung gedruckter Anleitungen wird Papier eingespart und die Umwelt geschont. Die Anleitungen stehen ausschlielich in der App zur Verfgung. Wer mit LEGO Super Mario starten mchte, bentigt ein Starterset. Das Starterset Luigi ist gerade neu erschienen und wurde sehnlichst erwartet. Die Luigi Figur ist nur in dem Starterset mit der Nummer 71387 verfgbar und kostet 59,99 Euro direkt bei LEGO.
Set 71387 – Abenteuer mit Luigi – Starterset”
Neben der Figur gibt es drei weitere Charaktere: einen pinken Yoshi, Bumm Bumm und einen Knochen-Gumba. Dazu kommt eine Startrhre und eine Zielfahne, der ?-Block und ein Turm-Biom mit dem Luigi auf- und abwippen kann. Das Set besteht aus ingesamt 280 Steinen. Natrlich sind verschiedene Steine, Plattformen und Elemente vorhanden mit denen das erste Level gebaut werden kann. Luigi startet bei der Startrhre. Dort ist ein Stein mit einem speziell aufgedruckten Code angebracht. Durch Berhrung erkennt die Figur das Startsignal und man kann Luigi ber die Steine bewegen. Er springt Plattformen hoch, bewegliche Elemente bringen Luigi hoch hinaus zu weiteren Plattformen. Mario kann auf Gumbas springen, die wieder mit einem speziellen Code ausgestattet sind. Dadurch sammelt Luigi Mnzen — entweder alleine oder in Kombination mit Mario. Blaue Steine signalisieren Wasser, das es zu berqueren gibt, rote Steine sind Feuerelemente. Die Kombination ist grenzenlos.
Wer eher der Mario-Fan ist, kann auch mit diesem Starterset loslegen. Alternativ kauft man beide Sets um im Kombinationsmodus zu spielen. Gerade das Zusammenspiel finde ich gelungen. Ich beobachte es bei meinem Sohn und seinen Freunden wie sie auf einmal gemeinsam in Mario-Welten abtauchen und durch die Level ziehen.

Very cool come back to old days with the modern blocks
Du ct des bonnes nouvelles, le personnage de Luigi et de ses compatriotes de l’univers de Nintendo sont bien reprsents. L’interaction avec Luigi une fois allume est excellente et trs bien ralise. Faites tomber Luigi et il se fera mal. Gnialissime. La magie opre chaque fois que la musique de Koji Kondo accompagne votre plombier dans son niveau. Les hauts parleurs intgrs Luigi sont un grand plus.
Pas de notice d’instructions avec cette srie, il vous faudra tlcharger l’application qui va bien. L’apprentissage se fait correctement et les modles en 3D facilitent grandement la construction pour les plus petit.e.s.
Les diffrents parcours assembler sont votre main et en crer des nouveaux se fera simplement et sans prise de tte.
D’un point de vue moins glorieux, on notera le peu de pices prsentent dans ce lot. Pas de quoi pleurer mais au prix de vente conseill on aurait prfr un peu plus d’lments de dcors. L’autre point concerne l’application ncessaire et indispensable pour construire les diffrents personnages et dcors : Il n’existe pas de version sans application, il faut plus de 1.5 Go d’espace disque et il vous faudra au moins une dizaine de minutes en plus de patience pour mettre jour votre plombier prfr. Autant dire qu’il ne sera pas vident toutes les familles de disposer de tous les lments pour s’amuser avec cette srie. Ajoutez cela la prsence de 6 sachets (autant que des grosses botes Lego) pour si peu de pices et vous obtiendrez un setabsolument pas optimis cologiquement.
Techniquement gnial, quelques contraintes pas anodines et vous obtenez un bon set qui aurait pu tre excellent.

After seeing the commercials over and over, my son had been dying to get the super mario brothers lego set for several months now. This starter set and a few of the expansion sets were on special during prime day, so I finally decided to get them. The first issue we had after opening was that there are no building instructions in the box. There is a super mario brothers app which we downloaded – and we were immediately instructed to sync the little electronic super mario before we could do anything with the app (so make sure you have two AA batteries on hand). Once in, the app showed how to build different portions of the course and a provided videos to show the actions the super mario could complete on the section of course just built. After having the set for about a month, we figured out that there is a separate lego app that provides instructions for building the complete set (this was lacking in the lego super mario app and had been a little frustating for my 5 year old). Overall, its a good toy, but not as fun as the commercials make it seem.
Had this for a month and my 9 year old has had great fun playing with it and some add one sets we purchased.
However bought interactive Luigi set on Sunday and once we’d updated the software on the app and Luigi and Mario a big problem appeared.
Although Luigi is fine and functions as required when interacting with all our action bricks Mario won’t interact at all with some bricks, will interact intermittently with others but continues to interact as normal with the remainder.
Some of the bricks he won’t now interact with were ones we had before getting Luigi that he was fine with then.
Tried all the fixes listed on Lego.com which didn’t resolve the issue .
Rang Lego customer services and after outlining the problem were immediately offered a replacement Mario which we have accepted.
In my mind there is definitely something amiss with the latest updates which has caused this problem with Mario which is a great shame as it’s a fantastic toy! Come on Lego, sort it out!
Este es un pack inicial, por lo que si no tenemos a Mario podemos empezar por Luigi si nos apetece. Trae la tubera de salida y la bandera de llegada. Adems de Luigi y las piezas de suelo tenemos una goomba de huesos, un Yoshi rosa, una plataforma mvil muy divertida, un ladrillo de ? y a Boom Boom.
El montaje es sencillo, son 7 bolsas de piezas de lego, pero las construcciones son sencillas, perfecto para nios. No vienen instrucciones de montaje en papel, para tenerlas hay que instalar una aplicacin en el mvil que por pasos nos da las instrucciones de cada uno de los accesorios y luego nos explica como interactuar con Mario en ellas. Al montarlo nos sobran algunas piezas pequeitas de repuesto como es habitual en lego.
Luigi es igual que Mario, tiene una pantallita en la barriga, adems de que sus ojos y boca son con pantallas que les aaden expresividad y hace que sea muy divertido jugar con el. En la base tiene un sensor con el que lee los cdigos que llevan las piezas, de forma que interactuas de forma distinta con cada una de las piezas especiales, por ejemplo, a la goomba con un golpe acabas con ella. Tambin con el mismo sensor detecta sobre que tipo de superficie est (rojo = fuego y se quema, azul= agua, verde = cesped no le pasa nada, morado= veneno, marrn=madera).
Adems tambien tiene altavoz y sonidos, al jugar tenemos los sonidos clsicos de lego y la msica y algunas frases divertidas todas en ingls igual que Mario (“Lego Luigi time” al empezar, “Mamma mia” al quitarle el pantaln, “I’m tired” cuando lo dejas tumbado y despus de esto ronca y se duerme, al apagarlo dice “Bye bye”…)
Tambien tiene bluetooth, imprescindible para conectarlo al mvil y poder jugar con los dos muecos a la vez y para actualizarlos. Al detectarse entre ellos se saludan, y ganas ms puntos si hacen algunos movimientos juntos de forma cooperativa.
Al igual que Mario funciona con dos pilas de tipo AAA que no vienen incluidas en el pack, importante tenerlo en cuenta si es para regalar.
En resumen, es exactamente igual que Mario pero vestido de verde? Pues si, justo es eso. Pero en cuanto actualizas el firmware de cada muequito y se reconocen y pueden interactuar entre ellos aades mucha jugabilidad y diversin. En general, creo que es un acierto, est muy bien diseado y es muy buena idea. En casa nos ha encantado desde el momento en que se han saludado. Yoshi tambien es muy gracioso porque aparece en la pantalla del mueco y luego sale como saca la lengua cuando se come a algunos de los malos.
Muy recomendable para nios y no tan nios, tengamos o no a Mario da horas de juego y muchas ms si lo acompaamos con otras expansiones. Desde luego, el juguete no sale barato ya que con el pack inicial solo se queda corto, pero segn vas aadiendo cosas tienes horas de juego aseguradas.

Absolutely brilliant. Smart phone access needed and off you go building and playing the classic platform game Super Mario. A brilliant idea well put together and totally engrossing for my grandson. Highly recommended!
This thing is excellent. Got it for my 10 year old nephew for Xmas, and he loves it. Mario comes with the kit and runs on batteries. It’s still working fine up to now and no issues with it. He plays with it all the time. Although It’s quite expensive for what you get, it’s the best reaction I’ve ever had to a present so It’s hard to complain.
Mario died after 5 hrs exchanged for another so all good

Excellent product from Lego as you would expect, my 30yr old son was very happy with his present.
Lego Mario is absolutely amazing, however, it is not as straight forward as it appears.
When I purchased this for my nephew for Christmas I thought it was just a simple lego set with facial expressions – how wrong I was! It turns out you need to download the app to actually play the game, well, to keep record of all the coins, levels and achievements made and also the app gives you the instructions on how to assemble the courses and the characters.
It is very clever but definitely not a Lego set for youngsters and the faint of heart, this is definitely a lego set for those REALLY dedicated to Super Mario and don’t mind spending time assembling the courses and downloading the app (warning: the app is only compatible to certain devices)

For the money there isn’t much to do so you will soon be buying the add one. The concept is great and will be good to see where they take it in the future. The build quality is great as you would expect from Nintendo and lego
This was on my Son’s Christmas list he’s a huge Mario and Lego fan . It looks very sturdy and the app is a huge plus , It looks like fun. I will add more pictures and info after Christmas.
Prompt delivery, exactly what was ordered, all good! It’s only 4 stars cuz of the price but this stuff can be a touch on the expensive side so nothing against the seller, they were spot on!
Not the best value for money compared to other lego sets that price but if you want the actual lego figure you have to buy this set. The instructions have to downloaded on an app and don’t come in the box like nornal lego, I would have liked them in the box like all the other lego sets we have. The Mario needs batteries and is interactive which at 1st I was a little bit disappointed but my son really loves the interactive features and says its his favourite set. The app cannot be downloaded on his kindle fire which is a shame so he needs to take my phone each time he uses the app

To my adult’s eye this didn’t seem like a particularly impressive set but to my 7 year old nephew it was all he could think about until his birthday last week. I’m not sure who let the cat out of the bag (I’m looking in your direction sis).
The build is very simple but there is an excellent set of instructions on the app giving a full view which makes things idiot proof. If you’re a fan of Mario then you’ll know the concept of collecting things. The thing I like most about this is that you can add more track, characters, etc to your basic set then it’s something that should keep a child (or big kid) interested.
I think this just goes to show that adults and children view things from very different perspectives as the one toy that I thought would be a flop turned out to be very successful.

My son likes to play with the Super Mario Starter Kit with his Mario figure. He also likes to play with it on it’s own and finds it very entertaining
We brought this for my cousins son and they said he loves this, from building to playing. They sent a picture of him transfixed and his little brother standing by for a play too.
This is wonderful. It’s easy to build, the little Mario character is adorable and it has so many little Mario details in. You can make him go round the level making all the noises you know and love from the game, whether he is squashing a Goomba or going down a tube. It’s so much fun. Perfect for any Mario fan, maybe a little specialised for anyone unfamiliar with the games.
Great product and very excited daughter it was so very exciting and fun to put together. Was not keen on having to download app on iPhone would have been better to have booklet in box to assemble instructions. Trying to move away from using devices and separate the fun of working together on building so phone was distracting. Thaat being said it was great fun x
This is a great lego set for kids or even adults. If you loved playing supermario on your Nintendo DS and Wii, you would like this. This would make a lovely gift.
As someone who played a lot of Mario in my youth, and now with kids who play Mario on the Switch this Lego set is ideal, or should I say we’re the ideal market for it.
Building it pretty straightforward – although there isn’t an instructions inside (apart from how to put together the very simple Mario set). This is instead done through the app. The positive is that it is easier to figure out what you should be doing when looking at the pieces on the app. The negative is that you need the app, so I couldn’t just leave it with my kids to build.
Despite the instructions being on the app, you don’t need it for the most part. You can play with the pieces and the interactive Mario will give feedback through the screen on his body. Using the app does open up more in the way of scoreboards, saving courses you have etc. and is fun, but it’s certainly not essential.
The Mario piece is really the best part for me. It has screens for its eyes and one on the body that react to what is happening to it. It responds to the colour of the Lego piece it is on, it responds to passing over the interactive pieces (with little barcode stickers on) and best of all, it plays the same music/sound effects as the Mario games as you start and finish the levels, collect coins etc. For pure nostalgia this filled me with so much joy. It also has accelerometers inside with which you can perform certain actions in game that will either collect coins or result in Mario losing a life (short period of inactivity where you can’t collect coins)
The kids have had a lot of fun with the set and played with it a fair amount. Personally I got bored of playing the “game” quickly. There’s really no challenge, it feels like playing Mario on God mode. The kids are a little more tolerant of this, but even then it feels like a part of the set that will get old quickly.
Nonetheless, the set is a lot of fun to have and really great for those who are Mario fans. Being an authorised product means that have the Mario “feel” spot on. The little Mario figure is also adorable… until the unit is switch off and his eyes go black, he then looks rather creepy.
I got this for my son, who not only is obsessed with all things Lego, but has recently become a great fan of Super Mario. When this got delivered and he saw what it was, he was beyond excited and began unboxing this starter set immediately. The fact that you are able to connect this to the app is so cool and adds a whole new exciting element to this and opens it up to an extra world of excitement with what you are able to do with this.
I know how expensive Lego is these days, even starter sets, and you get a surprising amount for your money. My son loves this, my partner even more so, so they’ve been setting this up and playing with this together. Brilliant quality and a big success within this household.
7 year old had this for his birthday. Loves it. Especially enjoys linking Mario to blue tooth to collect coins etc. Had a couple of extra sets as gifts too and have been able to lay out course so it fits on smallish hearth so can keep up continuously. Have to download app for instructions. Worked it out after a little bit and it’s easy to follow.
I am always delighted to get the chance to review LEGO as I think it is the most imaginative toy, if it can be called that, on the market and never fails to be interesting, educational and fun. My two were thrilled to bits with this. As a grandmother who they obviously view as not very good with Apps etc I handed it over and told them to get on with it. They sorted out the App and had it working in no time at all. So I am writing my review to let you know that they thought it was “cool”. As they are huge Mario fans this was a bonus.

My kids initially turned their nose because this looked too simple compared with other Lego sets they have tried. But once started, they could not stop. There are many different ways of playing, the little LCD screen gives instant feedback. There is an associated App but I did not download. They have got enough screen time during lockdown as it is. But nevertheless, they kept them amused for a good few days before it got mixed up with the general Lego pile in the house. Very well made, as you would expect from Lego. Pricey? Yes, a bit. But not out of line with other Lego sets.
This came packed in a well made, but really oddly shaped retail box, which caused it to get crushed in the post. Nothing was damaged, but the box design is really not helping!
The kit is really good quality as you would expect from Lego. Everything goes together easily as there’s great instructions in the app, and there’s tonnes of functionality. Mario himself is really amazing. He has three screens and a speaker, and interacts with lots of other pieces. This set really takes the interactivity of Lego to new levels, with lots more to do than just building.
The only real issue with this product is the price. Lego is a top end brand, and is generally not cheap, but as this is a starter set it’s probably a little too expensive. That said, there is a lot on offer here, and when you take into account the app and the electronic features the price starts to make more sense.
All in all this is an impressive product which will provide hours of entertainment.

In my opinion, its a little bit overpriced. However, its from LEGO, it is more value of the Brand.
This LEGO Super Mario Adventures Starter Course Toy is great. Its Lego so you can’t really go wrong in my eyes. Yes it a little bit more expensive that some toys, but being Lego you know you’re getting a high quality and entertaing toy. Our grandson loves it and has incorporated the pieces and characters into some of his existing Lego creations. Which to me says it all about what good a good toy of this type should do…… inspire and encourage imagination and creativity. If you’re a Super Mario fan you’ll love it. If you’re a Lego enthusiast you’ll love it. If you just want a good inspiring toy for a young child you should love it also. Well worth the money.
Bought for 7 year old Grandson. His eyes lit up when he opened it and he’s had so much fun and enjoyment from this toy he’s now buying the expansion packs. Much better than a screen game, this is actually learning to build and play with Lego properly, for a purpose.
Mario figure uses 2AAA batteries as he interacts with some of the bricks similar to the Super Mario console games. My kids absolutely love how he interacts during play. Obviously, as an adult, I could create and run through a course in a few minutes. But my kids have spent the whole day building and rebuilding and running Mario through different versions of the starter course.
I don’t like the fact that there isn’t any physical instruction, only digital on the app( you have to downloaded it on your phone or tablet). I have a missing piece as well( you can see from the picture) which is quite annoying.
It’s fun, entertaining and obviously nostalgic but you definitely need additional sets to maximise and fulfil your playing potential. That said, my children love this starter pack. It’s everything you know Lego to be with a cool Mario theme.
Lego have really taken things to the next level with this Mario set.
The Mario figure has LCD screens in his face that display instant reactions to movement, and there is a speaker included that pipes out classic Mario game sounds.
Once you have built your level, lead Mario through it and he will collect virtual coins. From the classic starting pipe (with accompanying noise) to the end-of-level pole (ditto), this is Mario and Lego heaven.
Squash a Goomba, battle Bowser. This literally has everything.
The attention to detail is astonishing – we’ve come to expect nothing less from Lego – and there are hours of fun to be had here creating your own Mario levels.
I personally never liked Lego. My little one absolutely loves all things Lego.
This kit is enough to entertain a child for a couple of days, there are some ways to experiment engineering/building the track. I do find that the sound and display for eyes are a bit of a distraction than a bonus but it is obviously very popular with the younger audience, so I shall remain quiet.
It is definitely for children over 3, and then, depending on your child’s interests and ability, it could easily be offered to a child under 6. But, yet again, it might be a bit of overstimulation for a younger kid and setting them in a mind for computer games is not on my list of things to do, though with all things dinosaur on youtube you end up with exposure you cannot really eradicate. I guess if you are trying to avoid gaming addiction, this set can really help you out as it puts a child in Mario context which will let them handle discussions at school more confidently but it also brings gaming off the screen and into a more touch/feel environment. So, that must be an advantage.
Anyway, I wish Lego went wooden and brought us some tasteful surprises in a new format.

If you are a fan of Mario and / or Lego, then this set is a must buy. Despite it being a “starter course set” you get all you need to have a good few hours of of fun without having to buy any of the other additional sets, although doing so will greatly enhance your experience.
The set is easy to build and comes with a Goomba and Bowser Jnr toy and Mario figure that is a little top heavy when going about the course. The Mario figure is where the real fun is in this set as he has LCD eyes that can read and react to bricks and colours. This results in a range of sounds and facial reactions that are quite funny and impressive at the same time. Mario can also be paired up with a tablet / phone via the app which suggests how the course can be set up and offers variations on construction. Being Mario, there is a goal to this set on top of simply “building and playing” with it and that is to overcome obstacles and win gold coins. To add a level of competition to this, you can complete with “friends” via the app and enter competitions.
As with all Lego products, the build quality is first class and the paint / colouring is excellent. The instructions are easy to follow and you will get hours of fun with the set. The additional app features are good to further enhance this set and hopefully this feature is built upon in future and ported to other sets as the interactive Mario is a really neat feature which I think Lego can develop further.
Overall this is a lovely set, well made with great replay value and comes with a raft of features which are innovative and fun. IF ONLY THEY WOULD DO A SONIC THE HEDGEHOG SET LIKE THIS!!!! lol
At first glance this doesn’t seem like the biggest set considering the price but once put together and with the repeat fun factor of it being a properly interactive set I’d say it;s definitely worth the cost, and especially for Mario fans of course. As with other recent/modern interactive Lego set this has an APP you need to use with one of the build maps/instructions which actually makes it very easy and fun to do and of course is probably more exciting/engaging for most youngsters these days anyway. The only small niggle is that it isn’t as stable as it could be, even on a flat surface like a play table or desk top, so for younger kids who can be a bit more handsy it;s a good idea to use one of the larger Lego base mats to firm it up. Good fun tough and more re-play factor than a lot of sets so overall good value too.
Kids love it very fun and easy to assemble like all LEGO sets.
Highly recommend for all Lego fans.
What could be better than a mash-up of our favourite video game character with the best ever construction toy? We were excited, and it is a lot of fun, but it is ambitious and spoilt by an annoying app.
I’ll describe the experience we had. This is a somewhat intricate set with over 230 pieces some of which are very small, the box says 6+ and I think that is right. It will be best appreciated by a careful rather than slapdash builder! In the box is a getting started leaflet but not full instructions. You are meant to construct Super Mario, insert two AAA batteries (you will need to use your own screwdriver and supply the batteries), and then install the companion app on an Android or iOS device and continue from there.
We didn’t much like using the app for building. We started using an Android phone and while the app worked OK, the battery saver kept blanking the screen which was annoying. We discovered that you can download a PDF with the build instructions and that worked better. A shame Lego do not include this in the box.
The app seems to work best on an iPad but while it has some value (for example it keeps count of the coins you earn) it is not actually essential, once you’ve figured out how the system works. This is lucky because the app is confusing and not well designed in my opinion. There are build instructions, videos, and some interaction with Mario via a Bluetooth connection. For a video game though, actual Super Mario is miles better. But we didn’t want a video game we wanted a lego set!
So the way it works is this. You have Mario who has a tiny video screen on his chest and has a few phrases and sound effects. Mario also has a scanner in his base, and this detects certain encoded bricks, enabling interaction with the set. There must be an accelerometer in there too, so you can make Mario jump and he whoops.
This means you can construct a course for Mario and land on the special bricks to get the sound effects and win coins. It’s a pretty good effort at recreating Super Mario in Lego but there is one flaw: unlike the video game, there is no challenge whatsoever in the jumps since he lands wherever you choose to put him. So while it’s kind-of amazing that you can do Mario in Lego the play value has a crucial missing ingredient. There is still some fun in devising new courses or building the highest possible tower for Mario to jump up to. There are further add-on Lego sets you can get in order to make bigger and more interesting adventures.
In the end this is where the fun lies: building adventures for Mario and combining with your existing Lego to make them as imaginative as you like. Don’t bother with the app. Put Mario on a train, in castle, on a fire engine, escaping from a dungeon, there are a ton of possibilities.
I was pleasantly surprised with this item from 5 mins in.
Ordered this for my 9 year old who is lego obsessed and, I’ll be honest, at first I was thinking there was hardly any lego and this would take him no time whatsoever so I really couldn’t see the justification for the price….. then I realised it isn’t just simple lego at all.
Downloading the app was the first stage then off you go with the building. The interactive Mario is absolutely fab- my little boy was fascinated by all the phrases- it really has nailed the interactive part well.
So far he’s had a few rounds with this, after changing it up a little, and is still loving this- I have a feeling it’s going to be one of those items that gets a lot of return play time.
Lego itself feels good quality so I’m hopefully of durability (the Mario figure included). Requires batteries but this is easily solvable considering they are standard batteries.
I’d say this is a really nice blend of technology, lego and a interactive game all in one place. Certainly something I think our young people really appreciate.
I’d definitely say this is for children who can hold concentration for a while- long enough that they can get the real fun benefit from.
Overall very pleased with this item and happy to recommend.
Our grandson and his dad have already downloaded the information to enable them to get Super Mario to interact with them. They had great fun building the set, and they can use the Lego without having to interact with the laptop. The colours are good, bright and the pieces are a good size for little hands. They wash well too, having been on the floor and got dirty. Good Lego set, as expected
Et bien je me suis tromp car ce Lego Mario est EXCELLENT !
Les enfants ont PLAISIR construire le circuit et faire voluer Mario dessus : le buste de Mario qui est un petit cran vido affiche des animations sympa (avec des sons) chaque passage sur un lment Lego ractif en permettant de rcuprer des pices de monnaie virtuelles. Les yeux de Mario (qui sont aussi des crans vido) ragissent galement : cool ! Il faut faire tourner un lment de Lego ou agiter un autre lment ou sauter plusieurs fois sur une brique Lego pour obtenir des pices ; c’est trs amusant pour les enfants car en plus il y a un compte rebours de 60 secondes pour parcourir le circuit.
Le GROS AVANTAGE est que ce Lego est un circuit que mes enfants peuvent changer leur guise. Donc, contrairement un Lego classique, mes enfants peuvent dmonter et remonter le circuit aussi souvent qu’ils en ont envie en crant ainsi chaque fois un nouveau parcours : ils ne se lassent pas du jouet !
Pour les parents inquiets, vos enfants n’auront pas besoin d’aide pour monter Mario avec son cran vido et le connecter en Bluetooth ou encore comprendre les fonctions du circuit : c’est simplissime.
Concernant l’utilisation du smartphone, je vous confirme que son intrt est trs limit pour des enfants car il permet certes de modifier la manire dont les lments vont ragir avec Mario et il permet d’enregistrer les scores mais les enfants ne s’en servent pas (en tous cas les miens) ; cela les amuse une fois et puis c’est tout.
Je mets 5 toiles bien mrites car ce jouet mrite son nom de jouet en amusant vraiment les enfants et en leur promettant de nombreuses heures de jeux crer des circuits diffrents. C’est l’avantage par rapport un Lego classique qui une fois mont va souvent terminer sa vie sur une tagre, donc c’est cher au dpart mais on en a vraiment pour son argent en temps de jeu effectif des enfants.
ATTENTION ; il y a 2 petits soucis avec ce Lego.
Premier soucis : Mario a les yeux noirs quand il est teint et a fait un peu peur mon fils, voil, je l’ai dit, c’est prendre en compte.
Second soucis : mon fils me rclame dj d’autres lments pour agrandir son circuit Mario ! Et l a peut vous coter cher !
Mais soyons honnte, contrairement ce que je pensais, le pack de dmarrage permet de bien s’amuser lui seul et il ne cre pas de manque. Vous n’tes donc absolument pas oblig d’acheter d’autres lments pour que vos enfants aient du plaisir. Aprs, si vous avez envie de leur faire des petits plaisirs pour complter le circuit, c’est possible mais ce n’est pas obligatoire.
En rsum : un VRAI jouet qui va beaucoup amuser vos enfants pendant des longues heures encore et encore. Je valide.
LEGO Super Mario Adventures has a lot going for it and against it.
This set looks cute. I really like the way Mario’s facial expression changes. The sounds Mario make as he traverses the course work well. Mario’s progress is impressively tracked by his built-in accelerometer and bar code reader. The Mario figure has a countdown timer. so each game you can see the time you have left to collect coins and reach the finish flag.
The game is reasonable fun, but even for young children is too repetitive to keep their interest for. It is disappointing that there is no instruction book included for building. You can find instructions on the LEGO website in the .pdf file. There is also a downloadable app which takes you through the game play step by step. We found this app very frustrating.
The price is fair considering the technology and pieces included. It feel this set is just about value for money, in terms of play. The high cost of the add on expansion sets, is off putting.
It does not follow that because I love Mario and I love LEGO, that I love this set. When I look at this set, it makes we want to play the video game or build something different out of LEGO. I am less keen on using the set itself. Our kids feel the same way.

This is a nice idea especially if your buying for children to play with but i would say it is quite flimsy and I would recommend buying some base plates to attach the pieces to if your wanting it to all stay in a certain way because the pieces tend to disconnect a lot but other than that it is a bit of fun also the maruo you get with it is used with the lego nes you can buy and it makes it bette
I think my grandson will like this starter kit but how long it will keep him occupied without spending more on the expansion kits remains to be seen. You don’t seem to get a lot for your money
Out the box it was really easy to put together. Mario connects to the app seamlessly and the build instructions on the app are a great idea (being able to 360 view the piece you’re building to make sure your doing it right is helpful – And even though these aren’t hard pieces to build, it’s still a fab idea).
You’re only shown how to put the individual pieces together and how Mario can interact with them. After that, it’s up to you to build your course. This automatically made it a better toy then I originally thought – its driven by imagination from here.
The idea of the gameplay itself is that using the clever Mario figure, you go round your course and collect various amounts of coins for the different element to try and get as many coins as you can as you complete your course in 60 seconds. And then you can rebuild the course to try new things. Fans of the original super Mario will love this and recognise how similar it is. Being able to build your courses is also a physical iteration of super Mario maker!
The replay-ability is better then I thought it would be – even for a big kid! I’ve bought a couple of the character packs and They’re easy to scan and add to your course.
Over all the set is fun, nostalgic and super intuitive. The app is great and works perfectly.
The only downsides is that Mario does occasionally “read” something incorrectly, and he seems a bit “top heavy” for some of the course (most notable the cloud). I feel it could have come with some extra connecting pieces – but of course you can add normal Lego pieces for this (but he only “reads” green for grass, blue for water, red for lava and yellow for sand)

Bought for my son’s sixth birthday. He said it was “..the greatest day of his life so far …” hahahahaha
Ebenfalls gut ist, dass Mario mit zwei gewhnlichen 1,5V LR03 AAA Batterien betrieben wird. Leider sind diese zwar nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten aber zumindest bentigt er keine Knopfzellen.
Seine Lautstrke ist auch angenehm, kann jedoch nicht individuell eingestellt werden.
Das Set enthlt genau wie abgebildet 2 der bekannten Gegner (Babybowser und ein Gumba), von denen jeder mit einer Sensorplatte ausgestattet ist, auf welche Lego Mario reagiert. Insgesamt sind 7 dieser Sensorplatten enthalten, die auch beliebig umgebaut werden knnen.
Was aber richtig cool ist, Mario reagiert auf Farben und zwar nicht nur auf die der Bausteine! Setzt man ihn auf blaue Kleidung, denkt er, er wre im Wasser, auf roter Kleidung bzw. Steinen befindet er sich im Feuer/Lava und bei grn zeigt er den Wald an. Dabei erzeugt er auch jedes Mal unterschiedliche Gerusche und seine Mimik verndert sich.
Trotz der vielen Teile war das Set aber noch recht schnell (ca.1 Stunde inkl. Download) und leicht zusammen zu bauen…und das obwohl hier leider keine Anleitung in Papierfom beiliegt… Die Anleitung fr die einzelnen Elemente gibt es zwar in der App und auf Lego.com (als PDF zum Download) aber wir htten uns dennoch eine ganz normale Papieranleitung gewnscht. Ist irgendwie viel praktischer!
Ansonsten ist das Set aber richtig toll und sehr originalgetreu gestaltet!
Wir sitzen nun mit unseren beiden Jungs (2,5 und 5 Jahre) davor und berlegen, was wir noch alles brauchen. Ist auf jeden Fall mal was ganz anderes als man von Lego kennt!
Uns hat es auf ganzer Linie berzeugt und fr Super Mario Fans knnen wir es eindeutig weiter empfehlen!
@Lego: Prinzessin Peach wre noch toll und natrlich Luigi (am besten genauso wie Mario mit Funktionen)!
