Good game play but disappoined how the story is told
Great condition when it comes for sure. Great game the only gripe I have is there is no dialogue they just grunt. Wouldn’t mind this if it came with subtitles but it doesn’t. For me that just takes away a lot of the humour it is trying to put across.

If you are at all questioning whether to get this for yourself, child, partner, parent… do it! It’s honestly the best game I’ve ever played on the switch. It’s so much fun. There are parts where you’d be playing and panicking ie spiders in Chamber of Secrets.. but so worth it!!!

Great game, like all the other lego console games this is a lot of fun, to be fair did find it a bit confusing at first but don’t think it helped my daughter kept clicking so couldn’t see the instructions! But easy controls and great quality.

Great for any age
This is the first Lego game I have played. I’m an adult gamer. What a great game, really cute, interesting and fun to play. Lots of puzzles to solve and funny moments.
The game takes you through the Harry Potter stories and you also have to help students in peril. There are bonus tasks too. I am sure this game will keep my interest for a long time.

My Grandson’s Favourite Games
Well, I certainly scored brownie points when I purchased this double games set for my grandson. He absolutely loves them and is enjoying going through the games. The graphics are good with bright attractive colours for youngsters who enjoy the Harry Potter films.

I like the fact that you have both games Years 1-7 on one disk, as always I enjoy Lego games such as this because there is always hilarious moments in the game and for me I find it hard to take it seriously, it is just so much fun and chaos at times.

Treated myself to a switch while on furlong to kill time obviously had to get classic lego Harry Potter feeling all the memories come flooding back

I think the perfect version of this game would be a mix of both, but it probably wouldn’t sell as well. I imagine most people who have played Lego Harry Potter played the console version, not the handheld. Either way, it’s a nostalgic and enjoyable game, even if it lacks some of the difficulty I’m used to in certain areas. I also appreciate that the DLC content is included (although I haven’t played years 7-8 yet). Overall, I’d recommend this if you are a fan of Harry Potter, and LEGO. It doesn’t quite capture the feeling of being inside the books like the handheld version, but it does look quite nice.

My boys got the hang of this very quickly so good job we had the follow-on. They thoroughly enjoyed playing together on the multi-player mode.

My 8 year old is really into Harry Potter now so getting this game was a big must. He loves it as it follows through the films. He has needed help every now and again but mostly completed levels on his own. The graphics are brilliant and its worth the price.

My son chose this for his new Nintendo switch, he’s 7yo and loves harry potter. He has 6 other games, but chooses to play this one constantly, he absolutely loves it. Great for kids who like to work things out. Highly recommend this game.
Years 5-7 have slightly different controls than 1-4 and 5–7 seems to lag slightly. Does get repetitive because you have to replay the levels multiple times with different characters to complete them. Over all a fun to play game and well worth the money!

Great for two players
Fantastic game for the kids to play. They have to think and work together. Can be tricky to work out how to progress each level so would say at least one player should be over ten but you can find cheats online and guide them through

I think we can all agree that Nintendo Switch games are stupidly expensive and considering this is quite an old game, the retail price remains high. Then again, this is the two games in the one cartridge and the price I paid was the cheapest I’ve found the game anywhere so I shouldn’t complain!!
I originally bought the Lego Harry Potter games on the Wii for my kids when they first came out. This was in no small way an apology for the fact that my wife and I monopolised the Lego Star Wars game and they didn’t get a look-in on that one. Having just purchased the Switch for my wife and myself (the kids have grown and flown), it seemed like an ideal time to re-visit the game and find out why the kids loved it so much.
So far we have not been disappointed. Don’t get me wrong – it’s still not Lego Star Wars but I don’t mind trading a lightsabre for a wand and an X-Wing for a broomstick. We’re not all that far in to the game yet, but I am looking forward to playing more and completing the whole story. I think we may end up getting invaded by the offspring for “dinner and a play on the Switch” now…

What can I say – if you’ve played any Lego games and you’ve seen Harry Potter then you know what to expect. It does not really deviate from the formulae but it is great fun and at the lower price worth it. For kids some seem to be more eager to complete games on the Switch rather than on consoles for some reason.
Yes it’s still in 2 parts as all the other versions and the engine does seem a bit dated; I was hoping they would just use the assets on the new(er) Lego engines but alas no. Thus less 1 star. It still has glitches you may have encountered in other consoles but at least you can be familiar/search for workarounds. Better than new unknown glitches? 😉
Thus IMHO only worth it if you have Harry Potter fans that perhaps have not finished the game on other consoles or want to revisit/finish it now or you no longer have older console/game.

Love this game! Big Harry Potter fan so had high expectations for this game. Some parts of the game is made easier if you have some knowledge of events/HP storylines. Although some game scenes are completely different to the storyline!

Such a fun game. Easy enough to play, story line following films/books, keeps me entertained without being too taxing on the brain matter. Can imagine this is one that kids would love.
Our family have always enjoyed the Lego games. they have a good humour and good family gameplay.
Whilst this is a great addition what is slightly annoying is that you play 2 games rather then them making this one. having said that the title implys this so you know what you are getting (so cant get rid of a star for this). Love the Co-Op play and even once complete have to go back with newly unlocked characters. all the cast are here (even the animals).

Happy son at Christmas
Christmas gift for our 8 year old son after he has started enjoying the movies and books last year. Basic concepts the same as other lego games game play wise just with slight changes to add to the Harry Potter theme. All in all though he enjoys it so does what is required.
