Read the reviews previously so was a little worried it wouldn’t connect or would be hard work,, but it connected great and all set up in about 30 seconds. Very easy to do.

I bought some TCP bulbs a while ago so I had the TCPsmart app on my phone which I am quite happy with, and these bulbs connect fine to it. Bulb has good brightness, white colour can be varied from dazzling neon-tube white to a soft glow, plus can do all the colours of the spectrum and funky stuff like scenes and synchronising with music (not tried that one yet …). Can be programmed individually outside of the app. Not tried it with Alexa or Google Nest so can’t comment on that.
do not use the lepro app does not work ( wifi or blue tooth ) spent 2 hours with no luck, tried Smart life app 2 seconds connected. seems smart life connects to darn near every smart appliance’s excellent app.
so install smart life then activate find smart life skill.
keep turning light switch off and on 5 to 10 times tills it start flashing.

go to add device ( top right )
then lighting ( left side )
go to the second from bottom ( light modulator wifi )
it took me about 2 seconds on my 2, then rename / group /etc

I would recommend this product and seller to anyone who may be thinking of ordering.
I bought one for the kids room then bought more for the rest of the house. Setup of the first one was a bit of a faff but others were easier. Basic functions work well with Alexa allowing you to turn on/off, dim, change colours and tone.
I don’t know how they compare to more expensive bulbs but I was happy with these for the price.

I had already bought a screw version for a table lamp. It liked it so much I bought a pack of 2 bayonet type for my hall and bedroom. The white light is very bright but I usually have blue light. Set up was straight forward and controlling with Alexa is so convenient, I turn of bedroom light without getting out of bed.
One bulb was very easy to setup, but a second bulb posed some difficulty in being recognised by the app. Eventually, through many attempts, it was added to the app – which is easy to use and has very useful features such as being able to share bulbs with other household members.
It linked in well with Alexa, but when integrated into some routines the lights were intermittently responsive, and sometimes wouldn’t do everything you’d asked it to.
The bulbs are bright and have great colour range. They do not have a sound-to-light mode.

Very inexpensive bulbs. I use the Smart Life app (most WiFi smart devices use this app reskinned with their own images or instructions). I popped these into the intended sockets (porch & landing), put them in pairing mode by switching them on/off til they went into fast blink mode, and easily paired them with Smart Life app. The app saw these immediately so fastest set up yet!
I have smart items from a wide range of brands all detected by Smart Life and all work fine with my array of Amazon devices. Work well, nice colours. Do the job.
Love the colour combos, easy to install – you must download the App as suggested and if you want to use with Alexa (not necc) you need to add the permission from the Alexa app – but all good

I purchased these in a twin pack four months ago and they are both working well. Instructions come with the bulbs and set-up simple via the the lamp UX app. Both bulbs work well with Alexa and the kids love the option of changing colours. I see lamp UX do spot lights also, that will be my next purchase for the kitchen.

I like them because you just ask alexa to change the colours you have also have them changing the colours automatically looks like disco lights my children think they are great.

I recently received an Amazon Echo 4th Gen for Christmas so have now joined the Smart home world. Received delivery today of these bulbs and they are a dream to have in the home. Really easy to set up. Download the Lepro LampUX app first and just follow the provided instructions. Easy enough to add them to Alexa as well. I have 2 bulbs in my living room as it is open plan so had to rename them as living room light and Dining room light but it’s simple enough. For years I have had to put up with my old lights either being on or off and could not turn one off without the other. Now I can do this without messing about with re-wiring.
Glad I didn’t waste a load of money purchasing Philips Hue bulbs.
Spent hours trying to set up 2 of these lightbulbs and linking them to two Alexa Echo Dots. First in my daughters bedroom took a while but was not too bad. We use a TP Link WiFi extender in that room and after trying and failing via BT hub we succeeded using the TP Link WiFi. In my son’s bedroom the best WiFi is direct from the BT hub. Initially the Smartlife app refused to link to 2nd lightbulb. I switched off the 5Ghz WiFi on the BT hub (which we were not using but was on) and don’t know if that helped but eventually after several attempts the lightbulb connected to the app. It was when trying to activate voice control from Alexa that I ran into problems that took a couple of hours to resolve. I found a post that mentioned enabling skills on Alexa so I made sure that the LE Lampux skill was enabled but it still didn’t work. It was a long and frustrating while later that I found that there was also a Smartlife skill that needed to be enabled. After doing that Alexa found the devise first time, connected and it now works brilliantly and I have very happy daughter and son.
I didn’t know what to expect when buying this product. I rolled the dice as a test to see how it would work. I have to say, I am pretty impressed. The set up took me a couple of attempts including connecting to Alexa but didnt take too long. The lamp works a treat, the colour options are great and the pre set themes are also pretty good. The voice control is pretty good as well. Overall a decent product in my opinion. The instructions are not the easiest to follow though so a bit of creativity is needed.
Note: You may need to go via Alexa app to add the device so it works properly with the Echo. The Lepro LampUX app took a bit of getting used to but the controllability via my smartphone is impressive.
For those not wanting to spend high amounts of money on the likes of Phillips Hue, this is well worth a go.

Firstly setup is a little fudged. I’ve had to do a reset once in the time I’ve used them so been through the setup process twice. Both times the automated sequence never got connections but using the alternative method suggested will then work.
It takes time, give it time! Don’t get impatient and think it’s not doing anything, it just slowly is!
Once I learnt it wasn’t going to work the standard install way i then got the second bulb installed a lot quicker.
Once it’s installed through the app they work flawlessly. I created a new group for them on the app but don’t worry about this – I’ll explain below why.
Next step for Alexa was to go into the app and discover the new lights. Now you can create your group – I called mine living room lights and then added both lights to that group. Now I command ‘turn on the living room lights’ or ‘set living room lights to red’ through Alexa for duel control.
That’s it, not too shabby but a little frustrating and long.
apparently you don’t even need the app and can skip this part and let Alexa manage them but I have not tried this yet.
Overall use
They are great! Good range of colours and the whites are spot on! Nice cool white and also the yellow tinged familiar white of ye olde bulbs. One of them has been a little lazy when being summoned as part of the group ‘living room lights, but the solution is to switch them off at the switch for a second and then back on and it’s working fine again.
That’s my longer term review. I’m back to order a couple more as they were a bargain price compared to other brands and do the job just as well!
I was dreading installing these based on reviews but actually they were very simple. I downloaded the Smart Life app first (based on reviews I’d read here), then sync’d it with the Alexa app. Then I “searched” for the bulbs on Smart Life, connected them to my WiFi and job done. Took a couple of mins for each bulb.
Alexa will turn the lights on and off and change the colour for you – I gave my kids a list of the colours on the Alexa app so they know which ones will work. The whites are very bright and perfect but the colours, as others have said, are very dull, ok for effect when watching a film but you can’t do a task by them as they’re just not bright enough.
Only thing I need to finesse is how to use the light switch alongside Alexa!! I’d like to freely use both without worrying whether I’ve disconnected from Alexa or anything.

Bright bulbs for the whites, colours are a medium brightness but they work well in the dark, set up has its ups and downs but it’s fairly easy, overall a great choice to go with and amazon Alexa, the price was right and these are a go if you are thinking of some smart lightbulbs.

Awesome value for money, bright and the colours are beautiful. I bought them for the bedroom lamps and they are perfect. When you need a brightly lit room they are perfect but when dimmed they create a cosy space for us to sit and enjoy a-bit of pre sleep TV. They are so good we don’t even need to use our main light anymore.

These bulbs are great value.
They work exactly as advertised.
For me, initial set up was complicated by the fact i only use mobile internet hotspot in my home but once the app was downloaded to a secondary device the process of registering and adding the new lights was easy. Instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. Both bulbs were found quickly and once renamed, I was able to play around with all the different lighting settings to adjust colour and brightness etc.
I then was easily able to add both lights to my google home set up with no hastle at all. Google home provided the same ability to ajust brightness and colour.
Once set up I was able to ditch the secondary tablet and just use my primary mobile device to control all devices through my hotspot.
All in all, thoroughly recommend these bulbs.

I have had two of these in my kitchen for 6 months providing lighting over the counter and kitchen table. They work well with Alexa. I prefer them set to the colour ‘warm white’ rather than the slightly harsh white they default to.
The bulbs are great and my parents love them, but when using the colour functions, the brightness is quiet low, especially in comparison with the white light function.
Will NOT work with a dimmable light source – otherwise works Great :):)

These are so easy to install and very bright even on 1% they are brighter than the standard bulbs. The only issue we have is deciding what colour they should be 🙂
This is the easiest bulb I’ve ever installed. The first one I havent had to use the alternative AP mode.
It is responsive. Some of the colour modes are very dim, compared to others I’ve got/had, so only marked down slightly on brightness.

These bulbs are great. I’m in a wheelchair and can’t reach the switch on wall. Bought these to work with Alexa and they do and I can have different colours.
Perecentage brightness on colour mixes is much lower than using a pure white colour tone, so don’t expect the coloured mixes to be anything like the brightness of the white range. You can though, mix in some white to your colour mix to add a little brightness. As others have said, set your router to 2.4ghz only and all will be fine. Works fine with AHome app on iOs and Android. At this price, recommended.

Great product it wasn’t to bad to set up either. what I would say is if you have epilepsy ask a friend or family member to set it up because during the Set up the bulb flashes so please be aware of that. Also I love the fact you can set it up so it cycles through the coulers and makes it very relaxing
I purchased a pack of two to use for my smart home. These work fabulously! The setup took less than five minutes in total. If you use the LE application properly on your mobile, you can set the brightness up all the way similar to a light that imitates daylight! I currently use this with my Echo Plus in a group called “Bedroom” and it works perfectly. It’s very reliable, the light’s never gone off or had any unexpected downtime on the developer’s end.
Hadn’t initially appreciated that you need to download the LE App to connect to these bulbs.
But once done, you can add them to your Amazon device (or other) with ease, I added them individually and then created a group to manage them as one unit.
The setup was easy, and the connection simple, great for the lazy people like me. Who wants to have to use a switch to turn on lights, how very last century.
I am sure there are other brands that do the same, but I will stick with these for now.
Just ordered another 2 for the lounge standard lamps, again, switches no thanks 🙂
Ordered 2 bulbs, followed the instructions, installed the LE App, set the bulbs up and connected to Alexa, they worked very well for a fraction of the cost and no hub for the Phillips Hue, very pleased, ordered another 2 of these and 2 x E14 lamp bulbs (LE Also)
