This box is a great size and stores all of our cushions for our backyard chairs.
Assembly went well for me but follow the instructions. It helped me to have a pick punch to start some assembly screw holes. Not sure how rain proof it is as I have a roof over my storage box. Looks nice and holds a lot of items! Very well made and should last a very long time.

It is a very generous size, holds all of our cushions and a lot of bird seed bags as well as grill cover when grill is in use. Waterproof so far and easy to assemble. Great dark brown color matches the siding on my house!

I ordered this deck box to keep my outdoor cushions in. This is exactly what I needed to keep them dry and I don’t have to carry them inside the garage every time. I must say, I did need to get my son to help put this together but that’s no big deal. I liked this so much that I recommended this to my neighbor and she is going to order one for her patio also. I thought this was a bit of a challenge to assemble. You need metric wrenches. They give English sizes, with the close metric in parenthesis, but the English sizes given are either too small or too big. Also, a couple of places where you need a wrench on the bolt and the nut so you two wrenches of the same size. The instructions say you should get a friend to help with assembly … the only reason is to have him (or her) bring metric wrenches. Also several screws go into the plastic where there is no hole. They suggest using a drill but say you can do it with a screwdriver. I don’t think so. Either a drill with a screwdriver feature, or a very high end power screwdriver. That being said, I expect the box to last me the rest of my life. I have a 10 year old picnic table by Lifetime and it is as good as new, save a little fading from sun. I Also have experience with lifetime folding banquet tables. They build this stuff to last.

Easy assembly with good instructions, impact driver makes this job a breeze. Feels sturdy, I weigh 200lbs and stood up on in and felt very safe. It’s not quite as dark brown as I thought it would be..its more of a grayish brown. Very satisfied with this purchase.
Love this. Problem is the screws are too big for the holes in the metal hinge. And the holes in the metal are oval, Not round. So we have it together except the hinges for the lid. So anoying.

I love the way this product looks and it seems very sturdy. I only have two problems with it.
1. The hardware is just cheap steel hardware that will probably rust quickly. I did spray it all with fluid film to hopefully protect and extend longevity.
2. The lid is slightly concave and water is pooling on top when it rains. I wish it was a little more convex so that water would run off.
Other than that I recommend this product.
his was a beast to set up. make sure you have all the tools it says, and at least one extra, strong person to help you. not easily a one person set up. I battled it, and it looks great! and it is already taking a beating from the kids… and hasn’t busted…

The engineer who designed this did a good job. The instructions are dead on and the drawings are spot on. Easy to understand, but watch the steps. Some are easy to miss and going back is a pain. Whomever designed this did everything to make it as strong as possible and as light weight as possible. For what it is I can’t see how they could do it better.
We bought 2 of the dock boxes and we couldn’t be any happier with them.
Took about an hour or so for my husband and I to put it together. Predrilled holes for the screws that fasten the metal bar to the lid, and the screws that keep the tabs in the bottom in place.
The step by step illustrations were easy to follow though a little difficult to see. Drawings could have been larger and included less extraneous detail.
Color looks good next to our flagstone patio.
Easy to assemble, a small size drill bit for a drill driver to make a pilot hole makes it Easier to drive in screws.
An extra helper when you attach the lid helps a lot. Overall well built for the price.
Great purchase for me. Backyard looked like a sporting goods store after an earthquake. More space than I needed. Super easy to assemble. Fits four children comfortably.
This is used outside to store cushions for the patio furniture. It was relatively easy to build. My husband and I took about an hour. It looks nice and the top comes down slowly so no smashed hands this summer.
Great product. Not 100% waterproof but will definitely keep most things dry. Easy to assemble and way more sturdy than sub cast boxes I’ve had in past.

This really is a very high quality product. Probably the best self assembly instructions I’ve seen with well packaged and clearly labelled components. Every.thing clicks into place perfectly and makes for a very sturdy and weatherproof storage. We are using ours for a wood store for our burner and holds a huge amount of cut timber. We had torrential rain last night and no water entered at all. Further more, it’s more than strong enough for two people to sit on! Brilliant.

This box is a great solution for storing our patio chair cushions and pillows with room to store more. It’s nice looking and very sturdy. It doesn’t leak even during wind and hard rain. It’s just what we expected from a Lifetime product.
We like it. But the only thing is we can only storage 3 sets of cushions and last set is in the garage.
Nice unit and being used in the Texas heat and sun. Well sealed and looks good. Pretty rugged and the lid has hydraulic assist.

I ran out of room in my garage so I bought this unit to store all of our gardening supplies. It’s got plenty of room and seems like a solid, well-built product. Although it recommends two people to build this, I didn’t have anyone to help me and was able to assemble it alone without much difficulty. The fit is really good and I like the hydraulic closer. The only thing you have to watch out for is that it scratches easily and leaves ugly markings. Performance wise, it’s well worth the money.

LOVE IT. THE best storage for kids toys. MASSIVE and tough. With 3 year old twins and 1 year old they love knowing all their toys are in their toy box – easy to clear toys up at end of day and fairly presentable in living room. Brilliant clutter clearer and easy to make. Bear in mind my husband had to use his own screws and bolts though. So if you making it yourself have your tool box ready.

The assembled box is excellent.
The plastic parts went together easily.
However the six nuts and bolts supplied had different threads. I had to raid my friends bits and bobs box for the right nuts.
I spent quite a lot of time researching these products and settled on this one. Extremely happy (after 3 months). Storage box is double skinned making it very strong and stores, cushions & other garden furniture. So far it appears to be waterproof, I guess will no better during winter, but I check it regularly and am confident. Relatively ease to assemble. Very pleased
This is a very well constructed box that despite reading some other reviews, does not take that long to put together if you know how to use a drill, which it recommends. You do not need drillbits as it provides self tapping screws. With having someone to help you hold it, you can have it built in under half an hour. This is a nice looking storage box, although a lot bigger than I anticipated. The box appears to be fairly resistant to heat warp but I did have to put a water filled watering can on it a couple weeks ago as the lid appeared to be warping up a bit. This is in 100% sun in Chicago on a concrete patio and I purchased this specific one because most people said that it has not warped. The unit is pretty structurally sound and I put it together by myself in about 2.5 hours. You do not need a second person to assemble.

Very sturdy and easy to put together . The spanner was feeble but finally used plyers as non of my numerous Spanners fitted . Strong to sit in too and sits perfectly in the back garden by the back door with a padlock on for security.
I placed a brick in it as my daughter thought it may get stolen with tools in it.
Would recommend it to anyone and delivery was fast and efficient .
Box is huge and sturdy! Good quality. Not difficult to assemble but recommend not using a drill as per instructions. My husband used a sonic screwdriver, much easier.
Easy to put together, VERY spacious, looks great, the neutral color doesn’t compete with the house or the backyard. Highly recommend AND best of all, it was $70 cheaper on Amazon than at Home Depot.

However, installation is hilarious. It’s not that difficult but damn, make sure you have a powerful drill with screwdriving setting.
I also had to use a stably knife to make the securing bar holes wider as it just wouldn’t fit. Don’t cut too much off the slot though or your bar won’t stay secured. My advice is to slide the bar fully into one side slot and then cut only as much off the opposite one until the bar can be pushed in with a little force. It won’t matter too much though as you secure the bar to the lid with screws as well.
There is a type of bolt you use in various places that is clearly the wrong type. The nut does not screw all the way to the base of the bolt because of this plastic stopper inside the edge of the nut so it ends up rattling about. This is acceptable for the locking part because t makes it easier to align the holes when you attach a padlock but elsewhere is just not good. Don’t expect to deter a determine thief.
The best bit was how they instruct you to secure the sides to the base. You basically drive a screw through the bit that protrudes. There’s no pilot hole or sensible locking alignment piece; you literally just drive the screw horizontally through it, preventing it from coming out. It’s hard to describe but just wait til you see what you do. Clearly not of German engineering!!
Still, it’s a good box that holds my lawnmower, strimmer, various bottles and plenty of room for all those things you don’t want taking up storage in your home.

Update- we’ve had several days of showers and a couple of thunderstorms and the inside of the box is bone dry. Good news.
Looks nice, seems sturdy. It was kind of a pain to put together, but definately do-able.
Arrived fast. Seems sturdy construction, but not the easiest to put together – requires you to buy a few tools if you don’t have any (like two #11 key wrenches, must have a drill, a hammer, a screwdriver, a mallet), and even if the instructions are easy, you’ll need some hand muscle to drive those screws into the designated holes (that you have to drill first). Some screws are located in a tight area – like the two ones located to hold the area where to place a lock – and requires the use of two key wrenches.
We store toys outside and helmets, knee pads, Nerf guns, etc., for our kids on the porch. Looks great, fits a lot, holds up to my rough and tumble kids quite well!
great. Compared to others and this one is going to last. Solid construction, holds plenty, plus is said to hold up to 600 lbs as a bench.
We have on a balcony in Florida, with lots of beach chairs and toys for visitors. Appears to be water tight.

I looked at 20 deck boxes and ended up paying 45 for one at Lowes. It was complete garbage. Broken in the box. This one is unbelievably sturdy. Supports 2 adults and a dog with 0 problem. And the best feature for me is the hydraulic lid. It’s more of a grayish brown color in case that is an issue for you. If not, this is the best deck box of its size.
This storage unit assembled easily and the pieces all fit very well. The pneumatic hinges are a great safety feature for the kids. I only had one of our grandchildren’s toys that wouldn’t fit and I didn’t think it would when I purchased it. The unit has a place for a padlock but no latch if you’re not locking it. It is sturdy and looks nice. I expect to get many years of use out of it.
Using to store the kids toys by the pool. So much easier than gathering up and carrying in every night. Heavy duty hinges on the lid and keeps everything inside dry even during the heaviest rain. Arrived quickly and in good condition. Easy to put together.
Die Auflagenbox ist wie Beschrieben sehr hochwertig! Wir haben derzeit 8 stk Groe Auflagen darin untergebracht sowie 2 kleine Kissen und die Tischdecke und nach einem Greren Unwetter war alles trocken gebleiben.

Unfortunately, none of the hardware arrived in the box (I had purchased this through the warehouse). I called Lifetime and talked to a person almost immediately. He listened to what I needed and without any hassle at all, got all the parts on their way to me completely free of charge. All the parts arrived today and I put it together in about 45 minutes by myself. All the connections are solid and secure, with solid nuts and bolts where other deck boxes use plastic tabs and slots.
My 3-year-old can open the lid and close it again (if she stands high on her tip-toes), and I don’t worry about it banging shut on her fingers. It’s just the right size for all our extra random yard toys and gear.
But really, what sold me was Lifetime’s customer service. I would be happy to buy from them again.
Update: Two years later, the box seems good as new despite being in direct sun through two hot summers, and through two very cold winters.

Sicherlich sollte man mit Schraubenzieher und Akkuschrauber umgehen knnen ( keine Super Fachkentnisse notwendig).
Aber alle Teile passen hervorragend und sind dementsprechend leicht zu montieren. Ich habe nur gestaunt, wie stabil nach dem kompletten Zusammenbau die Truhe ist.
Ich habe mich fr diese Box entschieden wegen der Grsse und der 10 Jahres Garantie. Es ist ein bisschen Arbeit das Teil aufzubauen ca 1 Std.
Vermisst habe ich eine Anleitung in deutscher Sprache .Franzsisch Spanisch Englisch und Chinesisch war dabei. Allerdings ist die Anleitung sehr gut bebildert alle Schrauben sind exakt bezeichnet und verpackt, die Teile passen auch gut zusammen. Die Schrauben werden direkt in den Kunststoff gedreht ,das wrde ich mir am Deckelscharnier etwas anders wnschen. Das ist die einzige Schwachstelle die mir aufgefallen ist.Fr diesen Preis kann ich das Teil empfehlen.
