The DGA519Z features X-LOCK mechanism to allow for quick and easy wheel changes.
X-LOCK mechanism; install and remove X-LOCK wheels with a single action without a tool, easily removed by simply pulling up the lever.
The DGA519Z is equipped with Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT); to automatically change the cutting speed according to the load condition, Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT); to shut down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down and battery protection circuit; designed to automatically protect the battery from damages due to over-discharge, high temperature or overload current. The DGA519Z is not compatinble with G-Series batteries.

The DGA519Z Brushless Angle Grinder is powered by 18V Li-ion LXT slide type battery (not included) with soft start for smooth start-ups and variable speed control for the user to match the speed to the application, to deliver up to 8,500 rpm for faster stock removal.
The DGA519Z is equipped with a safety paddle type switch, electric brake for increased operator safety, a side grip that conveniently installs on either side of the Angle Grinder, anti-restart function for increased operator safety to prevent the motor starting up when the battery is loaded with the switch locked on and removable dust covers.

Really enjoy using it. Happy that I chose the x-lock.
Es ist nicht so, dass ich tglich damit arbeiten wrde, aber bisher bin ich wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Gert. Ergonomisches Design, das X-Lock,…. viel mehr kann man von einem Winkelschleifer im Augenblick nicht erwarten.
Sehr zu empfehlen, doch aufgepasst man braucht dann auch die passenden Scheiben dazu.
Makita es una gran herramienta y esta tambin. El sistema X-lock es comodisimo. La maquina tiene regulacin de velocidad y es muy manejable. Tiene buena potencia. Ya tena bateras y cargador de otras herramientas por lo que no me ha parecido muy cara. Es recomendable por su calidad general y por su funcionamiento pero si no compartes las bateras con otras herramientas me parecera demasiado cara pensando que tengo otra amoladora Makita de 230V y me costo unos 60.
As I’ve come to expect from Makita, this is a top quality product. Lots of power and changing out disks with this x-lock system takes seconds.
Very good tool, I save time replacing the cutting disc. I do not have to look for an electric extension cord and I do not have to worry about electric shock when cutting pipes, which sometimes may have water. 5A battery lasts for quite a long time.
Ive used this brushless one and another Makita grinder without a brushless motor. Both with my usual Makita batteries. This is easier to use and to change discs, but battery life is no better and might just be a tad worse. Overall I prefer this one though. I find I don’t use the variable speed dial on this one. It’s the x-lock system that represents the major improvement in ease of use.

Estoy muy contenta, rapido esta en casa y muy alta calidad..
Dovevo tagliare un ripiano di marmo per alloggiare il nuovo piano cottura, ho deciso quindi di acquistare questo modello potendo condividere le batterie al litio del trapano Makita gi in mio possesso e del quale sono soddisfattissimo, e devo dire che questa smerigliatrice non h fatto altro che confermare la mia opinione estremamente positiva su questo brand.
Il lavoro riuscito benissimo nonostante io non avessi una grandissima pratica con questo attrezzo: maneggevole e sufficientemente potente, ottima impressione anche per il sistema X-Lock di aggancio dei dischi che veloce, non richiede uso di attrezzi per serrare ed appare estremamente solido e sicuro (non per niente adottato da sia da Makita che da Bosh).
Come si vede nella foto all’interno ho trovato anche un disco Makita in omaggio.
Estremamente soddisfatto anche perch l’acquisto si ripagato con i soldi risparmiati per far uscire per il taglio un operaio…
Nota bene: per il taglio del marmo ho utilizzato un disco diamantato Bosh Expert hard-ceramic… per quanto l’attrezzo sia ottimo senza un disco di qualit non farete mai un lavoro pulito
Habe den Artikel fr meinen Mann erworben als Geschenk und er ist total begeistert.
Absolut berrascht. Obwohl kleine Akku-Flex schneidet alles sehr przise und zgig. Mheloses und przises Arbeiten.
X-lock und drehzahlregulierung ist gerade fr so ein kleinen Allzweckhelfer sinnvoll. Schneiden, schleifen und schrubben.
Sehr ruhiger Lauf und erstaunlich leise.
Voor toepassingen waar een haakse slijper voor nodig is , maar geen stopcontact in de buurt is.
Soms is het ook fijn dat er geen kabel in de weg zit , dit geeft net dat extra beetje bewegingsvrijheid.
Deze haakse slijper doet niet onder voor een bekabelde versie, en ook met de kwaliteit en levensduur zit het wel goed.
This is great to use. Has plenty of power and lasts a decent time for the majority of jobs on a residential building project. Being free of cables is something everyone should try. It is comfortable to hold with a good balance. The trigger is positive and well positioned. I’ve felt safer using this than many other grinders.
Alles bestens. Bin super zufrieden.
Vor allem das X Lock System ist sehr praktisch.
It’s Makita, what can I say. I bought into their battery system which is expensive to start with (charger and batteries without tools) but the tools are well made, bombproof and user friendly. This is one of them. So far I’ve sorted my wrought iron gate out, cut up springs from a settee and sorted out some steel bar. I expected the speed to be faster but to be honest it cuts like a hot knife through butter on everything I’ve tackled with it so far. The balance is excellent.
Leistet seine Arbeit wie beschrieben. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Regelbarkeit der Drehzahl, sehr vorteilhaft bei Holzarbeiten (schleifen).
Il manque dans les accessoires : concrete diamond cup et un dust cover pour ces cups
Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Gute Handlichkeit, gengend Power und sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhltnis berzeugend auch das xLock System. Wrde ich wieder kaufen!
Sehr Robust,trotzdem super handlich und das Schnellspannsystem unschlagbar praktisch.

– le centre du x-lock peut facilement s’obstruer lors d’une session de ponage et donc empcher le systme d’ouverture, il faut alors souffler les poussire afin de pouvoir librer le disque, un peu ennuyeux lorsque l’on porte un masque.

Yes I can’t use my normal discs but I have a conventional 240v 125mm angle grinder so don’t care.
I bought a diamond stone, diamond metal and carbide wood disc. Along with metal grinding disc that came in the box, I’m all sorted. Its just so fast changing discs it’s like a different machine, 3 seconds? You just use the machine so much more. If my bolster is blunt i just pop the grinding disc and give it a polish, i never would have done this with an m14 grinder as changing the disc is such a chore. It really is THAT good. the x-lock discks aren’t expensive and due to the locking mechanism, they only slot in the ‘right way’ if the disc is directional.
As to the machine itself…its pretty hefty compared to my old 115mm but the balance is good and the extra blade diameter does make a difference. It is very long and slim which I was concerned would make it unweildy but ive been high up a ladder today cutting down a cast iron soil and found it very maneuverable andcomfortable to use.
The electronic brake is great, really stops the blade fast which is another feature that speeds up workflow. The motor also auto stops if overloaded which is a great safety feature to stop it tearing out of your hands if the disc jams.
The motor air vents are way at the back and covered in a fine metal mesh which is a good move to improve survivability.
The motor has a speed control but tbh I haven’t used it much. nice to have tho.7
Overall a fantastic piece of kit,the x-lock is the reason to buy it, just brillia
