The DGA519Z is equipped with Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT); to automatically change the cutting speed according to the load condition, Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT); to shut down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down and battery protection circuit; designed to automatically protect the battery from damages due to over-discharge, high temperature or overload current. The DGA519Z is not compatinble with G-Series batteries.

The DGA519Z Brushless Angle Grinder is powered by 18V Li-ion LXT slide type battery (not included) with soft start for smooth start-ups and variable speed control for the user to match the speed to the application, to deliver up to 8,500 rpm for faster stock removal.
The DGA519Z is equipped with a safety paddle type switch, electric brake for increased operator safety, a side grip that conveniently installs on either side of the Angle Grinder, anti-restart function for increased operator safety to prevent the motor starting up when the battery is loaded with the switch locked on and removable dust covers.

I love this brand, and I was happy with the purchase. However, you need to use proprietary disks which was disappointing to me as I was hoping I could use what I had. Overall, amazing brand and amazing quality.

Using a standard ceramic diamond disk I've just cut a wall full of 300mm thick tiles in a brick layout on 2x5amp battery's, this tool is comfortable to use for a grinder very quiet, the x lock works like a dream if your I the Makita 18v system I can wholly recommend this grinde

Für meine Zwecke wirklich gut.
Es ist nicht so, dass ich tglich damit arbeiten wrde, aber bisher bin ich wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Gert. Ergonomisches Design, das X-Lock,…. viel mehr kann man von einem Winkelschleifer im Augenblick nicht erwarten.

Sehr zu empfehlen, doch aufgepasst man braucht dann auch die passenden Scheiben dazu.

Makita es una gran herramienta y esta tambin. El sistema X-lock es comodisimo. La maquina tiene regulacin de velocidad y es muy manejable. Tiene buena potencia. Ya tena bateras y cargador de otras herramientas por lo que no me ha parecido muy cara. Es recomendable por su calidad general y por su funcionamiento pero si no compartes las bateras con otras herramientas me parecera demasiado cara pensando que tengo otra amoladora Makita de 230V y me costo unos 60.

Habe das Gert frs Auto gekauft, damit ist Falschparken bzw diese eckelhaften Wegfahrsperre die sie einem ans Rad packen kein Problem mehr.
Kein original Karton, einfach alles in einem normalen Karton geworfen.

Very good tool, I save time replacing the cutting disc. I do not have to look for an electric extension cord and I do not have to worry about electric shock when cutting pipes, which sometimes may have water. 5A battery lasts for quite a long time.
X-lock system great. Battery life not miraculous.
Ive used this brushless one and another Makita grinder without a brushless motor. Both with my usual Makita batteries. This is easier to use and to change discs, but battery life is no better and might just be a tad worse. Overall I prefer this one though. I find I don’t use the variable speed dial on this one. It’s the x-lock system that represents the major improvement in ease of use.
Ich habe bereits einen 18v Makita Akkuschrauber. Es ist sehr praktisch,dass die Akkus auch bei der Flex passen. Sie liegt gut und sicher in der Hand. Ich finde den Totmannschalter sehr gut, auch der Anlauf ist nicht so grob. Die Geschwindigkeitseinstellung hatte meine alte Flex nicht, ist grds ganz nett. Mit den 3AH Akkus kommt man nicht sehr weit, ein 5 AH Akkubist empfehlenswert.

desafortunadamente no se puede utilizar los discos normales
Wer einmal mit einer X-Lock Maschine gearbeitet hat mchte diese nie wieder hergeben. Es macht einfach Spa innerhalb weniger Sekunden werkzeuglos die Scheiben tauschen zu knnen.

+ Funkenschutz sehr einfach und flexibel verstellbar, durch Federsystem ebenfalls werkzeuglos

(sehr kleines) Con bzgl. Akku:
– Akkulaufzeit bei den 3Ah Akkus war hin und wieder etwas kurz (aber egal -> nchsten Akku und den alten laden)

Dovevo tagliare un ripiano di marmo per alloggiare il nuovo piano cottura, ho deciso quindi di acquistare questo modello potendo condividere le batterie al litio del trapano Makita gi in mio possesso e del quale sono soddisfattissimo, e devo dire che questa smerigliatrice non h fatto altro che confermare la mia opinione estremamente positiva su questo brand.
Il lavoro riuscito benissimo nonostante io non avessi una grandissima pratica con questo attrezzo: maneggevole e sufficientemente potente, ottima impressione anche per il sistema X-Lock di aggancio dei dischi che veloce, non richiede uso di attrezzi per serrare ed appare estremamente solido e sicuro (non per niente adottato da sia da Makita che da Bosh).
Come si vede nella foto all’interno ho trovato anche un disco Makita in omaggio.
Estremamente soddisfatto anche perch l’acquisto si ripagato con i soldi risparmiati per far uscire per il taglio un operaio…
Nota bene: per il taglio del marmo ho utilizzato un disco diamantato Bosh Expert hard-ceramic… per quanto l’attrezzo sia ottimo senza un disco di qualit non farete mai un lavoro pulito

Absolut berrascht. Obwohl kleine Akku-Flex schneidet alles sehr przise und zgig. Mheloses und przises Arbeiten.
X-lock und drehzahlregulierung ist gerade fr so ein kleinen Allzweckhelfer sinnvoll. Schneiden, schleifen und schrubben.
Sehr ruhiger Lauf und erstaunlich leise.
Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so gerne mit einem neuem Werkzeug gearbeitet. War bis jetzt nur die alten “Flex” gewohnt: Beim Start ein starker Ruck, beim Steckenbleiben (berlast) Verletzungsgefahr, nach dem Abschalten ewig langes auslaufen, der Scheibenwechsel dauerte einige Zeit….
Diese Maschine ist ein Traum! Softstart, bei berlast sofortiger Stop, 3 sec nach dem abschalten steht die Scheibe und das Beste ist das Scheibenwechseln -> in 5 sec ist das erledigt (vorausgesetzt die neue Scheibe liegt bereit ).
Een goede haakse slijper met accu
Voor toepassingen waar een haakse slijper voor nodig is , maar geen stopcontact in de buurt is.
Soms is het ook fijn dat er geen kabel in de weg zit , dit geeft net dat extra beetje bewegingsvrijheid.
Deze haakse slijper doet niet onder voor een bekabelde versie, en ook met de kwaliteit en levensduur zit het wel goed.
Solid and capable
This is great to use. Has plenty of power and lasts a decent time for the majority of jobs on a residential building project. Being free of cables is something everyone should try. It is comfortable to hold with a good balance. The trigger is positive and well positioned. I’ve felt safer using this than many other grinders.

It's Makita
It’s Makita, what can I say. I bought into their battery system which is expensive to start with (charger and batteries without tools) but the tools are well made, bombproof and user friendly. This is one of them. So far I’ve sorted my wrought iron gate out, cut up springs from a settee and sorted out some steel bar. I expected the speed to be faster but to be honest it cuts like a hot knife through butter on everything I’ve tackled with it so far. The balance is excellent.
Ein tolles Gerät man braucht ggf. zusätzliche Schutzhaube zum Trenne
Ein tolles Gert auf dem Stand der Technik, fr das ich mich wegen des Akku-Systems (3Ah Akkus von Makita rotieren bei mir zwischen einigen Makita-Gerten) dem BL-Motor und X-Lock entschieden habe. Bei mir reichte ein 3Ah Akku fr 9 Durchschnitte auf 10cm x 2,5cm Granit-Mhkanten mit hchster Drehzahl (8500 rpm). Mit einer Diamanttrennscheibe verwandelt die Makita den Granit in Pulver und hat dabei nichtmal gestockt – wie Butter!
Wichtiger Tipp: fr das Trennschleifen muss die Schutzhaube “Makita Schutzhaube 162708-5” zustzlich angeschafft und verwendet werden. Leider ist im Lieferumfang unverstndlicherweise nur eine Schutzhaube frs Schruppschleifen, damit sollte man aber mglichst nicht trennen, da diese Schutzhaube die Scheibe nicht genug abschirmt.
Preis Leistung ist stimmig.
Leistet seine Arbeit wie beschrieben. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Regelbarkeit der Drehzahl, sehr vorteilhaft bei Holzarbeiten (schleifen).

Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Gute Handlichkeit, gengend Power und sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhltnis berzeugend auch das xLock System. Wrde ich wieder kaufen!
Spitzenteil würde ich sofort wieder kaufen, Makita halt.
Sehr Robust,trotzdem super handlich und das Schnellspannsystem unschlagbar praktisch.
Super Winkelschleifer ich finde den Padelschalter fr eine Flex sehr praktisch..
Je nach Akku Gre schneidet Sie auch durch dicken Stahl allerdings bei 3Ah Akkus ist die Reichweite nicht sehr Gro
Tolle Maschine
Meine erste Akkuflex und diese hat mich berrascht. Die Maschine ist deutlich schwerer als eine mit Kabel und hat ordentlich Kraft, dennoch liegt sie gut in der Hand und lsst sich leicht fhren. Auerdem ist die Flex auch sehr leise. An den Paddelschalter gewhnt man sich sehr schnell.
Einziger Minuspunkt ist die Verpackung der Maschine, da die mitgelieferte Scheibe Lose im Karton lag und so ein paar Kratzer verursacht hat.
Das ist meine erste Makitaflex, die endlich Leistung hat. Die Vorgnger bzw. billigeren Modelle knnen nicht mit dem Marktfhrer Bosch mithalten. Das Ding schon. Unter einem 6Ah Akku braucht man allerdings nicht anfangen. Ist kein Leichtgewicht, aber liegt gut in der Hand. Fr mich ist es wichtig, dass das Ding ruppt und das macht sie. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.
Der beste Winkelschleifer, den ich bisher erwarb. Auch wenn der Preis sportlich ist, ist dieser es auf jeden Fall wert. Handlich und top ausbalanciert und noch dazu wirklich ordentlich krftig mit den 18V. X-lock rundet das Ganze ab und macht ihn auch noch sehr komfortabel.
Insgesamt ein tolles Gert innerhalb der Makita 18V-Serie, welches ich sehr gut empfehlen kann.

– raret et prix lev des consommables x-lock
– le centre du x-lock peut facilement s’obstruer lors d’une session de ponage et donc empcher le systme d’ouverture, il faut alors souffler les poussire afin de pouvoir librer le disque, un peu ennuyeux lorsque l’on porte un masque.
I’ve been without my makita 115mm cordless grinder for a couple of years (i melted it) and it’s a pain so finally decided to get a new one. I was pretty excited when I saw that makita had adopted the x-lock system from bosch and after checking that the discs weren’t crazily priced, I took the plunge.
X-lock is awesome. totally.
Yes I can’t use my normal discs but I have a conventional 240v 125mm angle grinder so don’t care.
I bought a diamond stone, diamond metal and carbide wood disc. Along with metal grinding disc that came in the box, I’m all sorted. Its just so fast changing discs it’s like a different machine, 3 seconds? You just use the machine so much more. If my bolster is blunt i just pop the grinding disc and give it a polish, i never would have done this with an m14 grinder as changing the disc is such a chore. It really is THAT good. the x-lock discks aren’t expensive and due to the locking mechanism, they only slot in the ‘right way’ if the disc is directional.
As to the machine itself…its pretty hefty compared to my old 115mm but the balance is good and the extra blade diameter does make a difference. It is very long and slim which I was concerned would make it unweildy but ive been high up a ladder today cutting down a cast iron soil and found it very maneuverable andcomfortable to use.
The electronic brake is great, really stops the blade fast which is another feature that speeds up workflow. The motor also auto stops if overloaded which is a great safety feature to stop it tearing out of your hands if the disc jams.
The motor air vents are way at the back and covered in a fine metal mesh which is a good move to improve survivability.
The motor has a speed control but tbh I haven’t used it much. nice to have tho.7
Overall a fantastic piece of kit,the x-lock is the reason to buy it, just brillia

Hat eine Enorme Leistung ! Liegt gut in der Hand ! Beste Ergebnisse mit 5 Ah Akku !
Meine erste Flex. Ich habe damit alte Zaunpfosten aus Metall abgeflext, deshalb musste es eine mit Akku sein. Die Maschine hat Kraft, hlt lange durch und ist leise. Da in manchen Pfosten Beton war, war die Scheibe schnell aufgebraucht. Mit X-Lock war sie aber auch schnell und mhelos ausgewechselt.
Super flex hat soviel power wie ein Modell mit Kabel sehr laufruhig und ich finde sie auch ziehmlich leise man muss halt nur drann denken das man zum benutzen auch xlock flexscheiben kauft da normale nicht passen.
Superbe machine, lgre, mise en uvre trs rapide , changement de disque trs simple, puissance avec une batterie de 5 Ah ou 6 AH Makita est exceptionnelle .
