Best one I’ve bought but the issue is when using the radio, it’s loses connection when anyone stands next to it so I’ve knocked a star off

Fabulous bluetooth and DAB radio, brilliant sub bass driver (in bottom of unit, radio can be angled to make the most of it) and very natural tuned full sound makes this a great sound system for outside entertaining or laying around by the pool. Sounds good from classical music, dance, jazz, rock, to R&B with digital equaliser to enhance or bost if you wish. Great points are no need for unsafe mains leads near water, splash proof, radio antenna is in handle so no pointy telescopic thing to walk into and long battery life on standard 18 volt LXT makita batteries.

I got this for an upgrade form my jbl speaker tbh im glad i did Great bit of kit not had a problem with it so far, even get a great signal with the handle/aerial down. Only bad point is the Bluetooth drains the battery alot but I am only using 2 3ah batteries

You really can’t beat Makita products and this new model is brilliant. Great DAB signal too.

Great product, well made, good sound quality, bit heavy ,so no chance of it getting blown over ,only drawback you have to have a separate charger to charge the removable battery.delivery was excellent came next day well packed.

Good all round but the volume Dail is very touchy when tuning up its turning down the volume up and down up and down until its been on for a while then its works fine ish so unable to give 5 stars but sound is very good indeed when you have the right volume

Good looking radio with solid build quality and great sound. It is at the higher price range of makita radios but it is worth it in my opinion.

Great sound, good battery life with a 5Ah battery, not problems with reception as others have mentioned. Easy to set up stations

Only fault I’ve got with it is the sub speaker isn’t that great and sounds awful past 75% volume

Loved the sound and ease of use once you got going with book. Recommend getting the battery for outdoors. Very strong and sturdy and much better with aerial being in the handle then it can’t snap off.
Bass sound great and really carries so beware on some of the equaliser settings.

Sound quality vastly improved with not as much bass. Plasterers won’t notice with their Neanderthal ears.
A lot heavier, an electrician will probably struggle to carry it.
Uses a battery a lot faster
Overall a good bit of kit.

I don’t actually work on a building site. But it’s brilliant for camping or just chilling the garden.
Sound quality is brilliant. So glad I didn’t waste my money on them smaller speakers.

Would be nice if they sold a battery with it.

Very solid & great sound. my last one lasted 10 year & looked in a sorry state, still working though.
This new site radio looks & feels very solid. weighs a little bit more than the last. But sounds better.

I got black and I love it. Great quality, sound and easy to use. I mostly use the Bluetooth option to play YouTube music on it while in my workshop. The volume is very good and clear and when I am starved of motivation I put on ACDC full volume and that solves the problem, all steam ahead.

Purchased this from Amazon & not a third party seller. Not the cheapest but I cannot fault this system. Very sturdy, great sound, loads of extra channels on DAB+ compared to standard DAB, plus aux in, USB port & Bluetooth for streaming music from phone/tablet. Looks cool in black/silver. So good I bought another for the garden! Highly recommend.

It’s a great radio, sound quality is much better than previous models, looks awesome. My only negative with this model is it drains your battery, a fully charged 4 amp battery will only last 5 hours on a medium level where as on the older model it would last a shift and a little bit the next morning

Expensive, I won’t lie…. But a damn good bit of kit.
Bluetooth the tunes and away you go. And didn’t know until I turned it on… It all lights up like a Christmas tree… Fantastic

Very well-made quality product. Unfortunately isn’t quite as loud as I hoped (or my old Makita radio). Great to have the bluetooth streaming function though.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought the radio for taking to the factory where I work, it’s fantastic the sound is loud and there is so many channels to listen to, OK so its a bit pricy but you get what you pay for, definitely a great radio.
