I really rate this. Easy to use, well made, sturdy, accurate, good instructions in the box. And good value for money. If you are a busy DIYer, and you need a professional circular saw at domestic prices, this brand and this saw would be it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have been cutting a lot of melamine coated furniture panels to make wardrobes and shelving and the guide that comes with this saw doesn’t allow the width I needed so following advice on youtube I made some very simple straight line jigs, from plywood and a batten, and was able to cut the panels I needed very easily with this. With melamine it chips at the top though the bottom piece tends to be neater so (again advice on youtube) I made a tiny shallow cut into the melamine first before lowering the blade to cut right through. Keeping the blade as high as possible while still having enough blade to cut through makes it easier to cut. Initially I found I was burning the wood by having the blade set too low. The very sturdy storage box has plenty of room for keeping spare blades and other bits and bobs.

Klare Empfehlung.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe quality is as you would expect from a decent Makita. No complaints at all. The manufacturer’s extended warranty is impossible to activate, though, due to a fault on Makita’s uk website. They are aware of it too, because there is a line on the website telling you to apply via post. It is a joke. If you want the assurance of manufacturer’s warranty, buy a different brand that lets you activate warranty over amazon, or over email.

This was a truly affordable machine, it replaced a fifty year old machine. I did toy with buying a battery powered 18 v Makita, but now that I am retired, and unlikely to use it outside of my property, the prices difference between corded versus battery was a no brainer. And as Makita has been my favourite company from which to purchase a tool, due to quality and reliability of all previous tools bought, I’m delighted with this purchase .

Whilst I already like the brand, I have to be honest and say I’ve seen this out perform a cheaper brand. Cutting fence pales 20mm thick to 40mm, slightly damp, with ease where the cheaper brand clogged & stopped.

Works perfectly, and more reliably, given mains Vs battery usage. Have a lot of Makita kit, all others battery based. This saw though, spinning so fast, cutting through green oak, requires constant power.

Bel prodotto.

I have had many a circular saw over the years and mostly cheaper models. But I decided when my last saw died I would buy a quality product. This is smoother quieter and cuts better than any saw I’ve ever had. I would certainly recommend it and the box is really useful and won’t fall apart like cardboard boxes do.

Bought this saw only because I accidentally dropped my old Hitachi saw, and was beyond repair, so opted for this over other makes due to the price and it came with the case. And wow what a saw, compared to my 15 plus year old Hitachi this is amazing !! Quieter, smoother , and the cut from the stock blade was very impressive, well worth the money, I would definitely recommend this saw.

I bought an 80 tooth blade to go with this for finer cuts but the standard blade is also top notch. good solid heavy piece of kit that goes exactly where you tell it, not too noisy and the hard plastic case is really handy too

Quality tools are worth the cash. I could have bought a 40 saw. It might have cut the same in begin but what about further down the line. Paying the extra gives me knowledge that the saw will last many years and jobs to come. You can buy a guide separately that will enable the use of a makita track. Buy quality, buy once.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter having a new boiler fitted, I had to convert one kitchen cabinet from double to single to fit the space left beside the new boiler, and scratch build a big cabinet to fill the space left by the old boiler. I also had to re-jig various fill in panels. The new saw was just as powerful and quick as my big, heavy, old saw, more accurate and easier to handle. The Makpac box that came with it was a bit of a surprise, but blissfully easy to chuck the saw back into at the end of a tiring days work.
If I never do another job with it, it was still worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst off, this is an excellent saw that is light years ahead of most of the junk out there! I thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a saw for a reasonable price… and it’s made in the UK.
The motor is smooth and powerful, it is nice in the hand and cuts straight. The saw has adjustments for mitre 0 and blade parallel if needed (mine was perfect from the factory) and spare parts are available.
There are a few points to note though:
Dust collection isn’t the greatest, plenty of sawdust escapes even with 1500w of vacuum connection
There is a little more play in the hinge between the saw body and base plate than there could be
The rip fence is actually pretty poor and can easily be bent with mild finger pressure
The case for me is just a waste of plastic that will never be used again

For the price, all of this is nitpicking. If you are looking at sub 100 saws find the extra cash and buy this.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought a cheaper saw originally – when it arrived was disappointed at the inaccuracy of the bevel gauge (amongst other things). When adjusted flat (default) the gauge showed about 10 degrees instead of zero.

So bought this ‘bottom of the range Makita’ for an extra 50 or so instead and the improved quality was immediately apparent. For something that you expect to be using for 20 years or so (it should see me out!) it is well worth the extra.

Works like a dream and I put the second half of my fence up in a morning compared to 2 days sawing the planks manually for the first half. And they look a whole lot neater; why have I spent the last 30 years using manual tools?!
