Quality tools are worth the cash. I could have bought a 40 saw. It might have cut the same in begin but what about further down the line. Paying the extra gives me knowledge that the saw will last many years and jobs to come. You can buy a guide separately that will enable the use of a makita track. Buy quality, buy once.

I love my new Makita saw. It cuts perfectly through any piece of wood. Japanese design built in the UK, the best of two worlds. Pitty the case is gigantic, compared to the actual saw. Will use it to fit other few tools.

The saw arrived but when I opened up the box it was clear to see that the item had been used previously…the saw blade manufacturers stencil markings were scuffed and on the body of the saw was saw dust.
It was not damaged, just used which was not how it was advertised.
After having a new boiler fitted, I had to convert one kitchen cabinet from double to single to fit the space left beside the new boiler, and scratch build a big cabinet to fill the space left by the old boiler. I also had to re-jig various fill in panels. The new saw was just as powerful and quick as my big, heavy, old saw, more accurate and easier to handle. The Makpac box that came with it was a bit of a surprise, but blissfully easy to chuck the saw back into at the end of a tiring days work.
If I never do another job with it, it was still worth the money.

Great bit of kit, really easy to use, get a nice straight cut every time. The Makpac box is a great addition, keeps the saw stored nicely.
Clean cuts
Been using this whilst building a shed. it’s handled everything I have thrown at it really impressed with the quality of cuts. the only downside is its a bit heavy if you’re using it all day.

I think the saw needs a longer cable. I have to drag an extension cord across the floor to cut a standard length piece of timber (2.4 m).

Wrde mir die Tauchkreissge berlegen. Sgt sehr gut und bin auch zufrieden damit aber dennoch am auslaufen.

First off, this is an excellent saw that is light years ahead of most of the junk out there! I thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a saw for a reasonable price… and it’s made in the UK.
The motor is smooth and powerful, it is nice in the hand and cuts straight. The saw has adjustments for mitre 0 and blade parallel if needed (mine was perfect from the factory) and spare parts are available.
There are a few points to note though:
Dust collection isn’t the greatest, plenty of sawdust escapes even with 1500w of vacuum connection
There is a little more play in the hinge between the saw body and base plate than there could be
The rip fence is actually pretty poor and can easily be bent with mild finger pressure
The case for me is just a waste of plastic that will never be used again
For the price, all of this is nitpicking. If you are looking at sub 100 saws find the extra cash and buy this.

Great power and value
As a complete novice to woodworking I bought this after a friends recommended it to me. For the money it’s been absolutely brilliant for everything from cutting doors to building a garage workbench.
Obviously a battery operated tool would be more convenient, but this machine has been faultless and dead reliable.

Bought a cheaper saw originally – when it arrived was disappointed at the inaccuracy of the bevel gauge (amongst other things). When adjusted flat (default) the gauge showed about 10 degrees instead of zero.
So bought this ‘bottom of the range Makita’ for an extra 50 or so instead and the improved quality was immediately apparent. For something that you expect to be using for 20 years or so (it should see me out!) it is well worth the extra.
Works like a dream and I put the second half of my fence up in a morning compared to 2 days sawing the planks manually for the first half. And they look a whole lot neater; why have I spent the last 30 years using manual tools?!

Einfach eine tolle Kreissge. Ich bin mit der Qualitt der Sge und Arbeistweise sehr zufrieden. Fr Hobby-Handwerker muss es aus meiner Sicht mehr nicht sein. Liegt gut in der Hand und nach einer kurzen Eingewhnungsphase kann man damit tolle Arbeiten abliefern. Fr mich perfekt!

Sega veramente fantastica ,facile da usare ,molto potente ,regolazione precisa e facile , l’ho presa dopo aver reso una troncatrice scheppac arrivata difettata della quale ho fatto il reso per prendere un banchetto sega ehinell anch’esso arrivato difettato ( fuso dopo 4 tagli di 2 mm per 10 cm su ayous ,legno tenerissimo) e reso.
Alla fine ho scelto Makita sinonimo di qualit ,che seppur prodotto differente dai precedenti molto duttile ,gli ho fatto una slitta per avere tagli anche di piccoli pezzi ,sempre precisi ed in sicurezza.

Die Kreissge ist einer netten Tanos-Box mit Spritzguss Einlage verpackt. Die Spritzgusseinlage ist fr meinen Geschmack eine Frechheit, der Papierkram und die Kleinteile fliegen haltlos in der Box rum da sie keinen Halt haben. Der Kabel der Sge muss am Ende vom Knickschutz ziemlich stark gebogen werden das die Sge reinpasst. Ich habe die Sge ausprobiert um dann zu entscheiden was ich mit der Einlage mache.
3cm starke Bretter waren kein Problem, die Nase an dem montierten Blech gibt gengend optische Fhrung. Wenn diese ber das Sgegut raussteht, kann man immernoch am Sgeblatt selbst schauen. Die Knpfe sind gut platziert. Die Sge luft schn ruhig und gleichmig.
7cm starkes Kantholz kann die Sge natrlich nicht mit einer Eintauchtiefe von 68 mm durchsgen, aber so tief wie sie kommt, macht sie das vllig problemfrei. Der Schnitt ist winklig und auch hier reicht die Leistung vllig aus. (Die letzten 2mm habe ich mit einem Fuchsschwanz gesgt.)
Mit Ausnahme der Einlage (deswegen auch 1 Punkt Abzug), kann ich die Sge wrmstens empfehlen. Die Einlage habe ich durch eine Tanos Einlage ersetzt die man selbst anpassen kann. Jetzt fliegt nichts mehr in der Box rum. Vorteil der Tanos-Boxen, die kann man stapeln und untereinander auch verriegeln. Tanos selbst bietet aber mittlerweile neuere Boxen mit anderen Verschlssen an. Das hier von Makita verwendete Modell der Tanos Box ist schon etwas lter…

Der Motor knnte etwas mehr Leistung haben, gerade bei dicken Holzschnitten merkt man das der Motor an seiner Leistungsgrenze angekommen ist …
aber bei allen andern Schnitten luft sie super leicht durch…

It does what I want of it, Makita would have tested and examined it before they would have allowed their brand name to be applied to it.

Sega ad immersione solida e di qualit, Makita per l’ennesima volta mi ha veramente soddisfatto, peccato per la lama in dotazione (subito sostituita…) che con soli 12 denti non propriamente adatta se si ha la necessit di fare tagli definiti e precisi, comoda la valigetta per il trasporto.

Galattica. Robusta, ben fatta, regolazioni solide, scarpa in alluminio spessa, tagli facili, perfetti. Ottima profondit di taglio. Riscontri facili da interpretare. Box matita fichissimo. Unica pecca la sega spedita nella scatola senza imballo adeguato, libera di rovesciarsi e sballottare. La mia aveva la scarpa lievemente storta, forse a causa del trasporto. Ho risolto io ma makita dovrebbe fare meglio

Non eccessivamente rumorosa, precisa e veloce. Se non si attacca un aspirapolvere, dal bocchettone di uscita fuoriescono pochissimi tucioletti spontaneamente.
Per sfruttarla con la massima soddisfazione, ritengo fondamentale avere a disposizione una buona guida: anche autocostruita, come nel mio caso, con pochissimi soldi. Naturalmente necessaria molta cura e attenzione nell’allineamento. Ottimo il contenitore plastico e anche robusto.

pour ce qui est de la machine une peu faiblarde a mon avis j’ai couper du mdf 12mm avec 1cm de rsine poxy couler par dessus et faut pas pousser pour aller vite mais en douceur a le fait , je dois couper des tranches de noyer de 4 cm d’paisseur et j’ai des doutes mais on verra bien sinon la boite c’est toujours trs pratique pour le transport et un peu de place pour d’autre accessoires a l’aveni

Ideal für OSB Platten und Brette
Ich hatte vorher ein Akkugert von Einhell und das war absoluter Mll.
Nun wollte ich nicht wieder zu einem Akkugert greifen und habe eine kleine Handkreissge hauptschlich fr OSG Platten und Bretter gesucht. Mit diesem Gert habe ich einen Volltreffer gelandet. Die Maschine schafft gerade Schnitte und die Schnittkanten verbrennen nicht, weil sie genug Leistung hat um zgig zu Arbeiten. Ich bin echt begeistert von der kleinen Makita. Wrde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I mainly use this for cutting used timber for the fire and in that respect, it is an excellent piece of kit. With a powerful motor it really does cut through wood at full depth with ease but that is partly down to the Makita blade which is exceptionally sharp. I noticed this when I damaged the blade on a hidden nail and changed it to a cheaper one, it still cuts well but needs a bit more effort. The case is good and makes storage convenient. This replaced a 7 ” saw of a well-known make that lasted twenty years but the difference surpassed my expectations with regard to the ease of cutting wood so five stars.

Very good product with accurate alignment. Changed blade for more cutting teeth and cut through door to shorten base due to new carpet. Very successful for an amateur. It seems a good purchase.
