This is the most ultimate workshop tool to own! It is meant for pin nailing headless pins that are so small and fine, that no one will notice that you used them on your fine woodworking project’s! Works perfectly to assist in jig making, when you need to line something up for glueing. Baseboards and mouldings are a snap to install with this. Just need to add a bit of glue to the back of the piece before pinning. No need for nail hole putty or paint touch up! Magical!!
Downside is that it is outrageously expensive but worth its weight in gold! The Makita CXT cordless tools use only12 volt batteries. And are becoming harder to source in Canada. The CXT line of tools are lighter weight than the LXT 18 volt. Delivers a powerful punch though for light duty applications. (Not to ever be confused as a framing nailer!) This is the most precious power tool in my workshop! I am slowly converting my corded and heavier cordless and pneumatic workshop tools to Makita CXT’s and my wrists and hands couldn’t be happier!

I’ve been using this pintacker for about 4 weeks and I guess around 10 times. I have used 25mm and 35mm pins. I works very well, loading the pins is very easy and using the machine is very straightforward. *Knocks on wood* – I haven’t had a single jam. After shooting about 150 pins over these 4 weeks, the battery still indicates that 4 out of 4 lights. I’m very happy with the tacker.
