Omg what a device amazing worth every penny going to buy a second so I can leave one in my switch dock and the other in my pc
A breeze to set up, didn’t need any firmware updates or settings changed, literally just plugged it in, paired the PS4 controller via USB, then unplugged controller and off we go. Now I just turn on the Switch, the mayflash flashes a red light searching for the controller, and as soon as I turn the controller on, bam, locks on and I’m in business. Very happy with this.
Great adapter to connect the support controllers to your switch. If you have a PS3 or PS4 controller it will work wireless with this adapter but for xbox controllers, only the XBOX ONE S will work wireless with this adapter. If you have a wireless xbox 360 controller and happen to have the xbox 360 wireless USB dongle (for PC), this will work wireless with the Magic NS as well. Just plug the dongle to the Magic NS usb port. If you have xbox one (non bluetooth controller) and also happen to have the xbox one wireless PC dongle. This won’t work! The Magic NS won’t recognise (or power up) the dongle. At the moment only can use the xbox one (non bluetooth) controller using a USB wired cable connected to the Magic NS adapter.
Great product easy to use plug and play quite literally
Works a treat. No faffing about, it just works. Love using my PS4 controller to play 2 player with my son.
Bought to try with my Xbox Elite version one controller – works wired via a micro USB cable.
However, my Xbox Windows/PC Wireless Adaptor doesn’t work when plugged into the Mayflash unfortunately – a big shame for me, be nice to have the Elite controller function wirelessly. Otherwise works perfectly fine, haven’t tried with newer bluetooth Xbox controllers or the PS4 pads.
It Works very well. I tested it on my Nintendo Switch with a PS3 controller and a generic controller. Both with USB cable. I haven’t tested wireless yet. Easy to install, although the manual is quite extensive. Well built.
It work’s perfectly. Very easy to connect my Xbox controller to Nintendo switch.
Used to pair a PS4 controller to a Nintendo switch.
Worked perfectly.
Finally, I can use my Elite Controller with the Switch! Connecting to the dongle takes a little longer than I would like, but once it connects, it works like a charm. There is an option to swap the layout of the face buttons so that they match the actual layout of the controller. However, this has to be done every time you reconnect it to the adaptor, though you can get past this minor annoyance by setting up a profile in the Accessories app if you’re using an Elite Controller like I am.
I do have a note and a warning:
1. Any controller connected to the dongle can’t be used to wake the Switch. On top of that, the dongle powers off anytime the Switch goes into sleep mode, and can take up to 20 seconds to reconnect when the Switch wakes up. If you’re going wired, then this isn’t an issue (more on that later). But if you’re wireless, then be a little patient once your system wakes up. Another thing to note is that if you are using the Series 2 Elite Controller (or any controller with an internal battery) and you are wiring your controller to the dongle, be sure to sure to unplug your controller any time the system goes to sleep. If not, then the controller will continue to draw power from the adaptor and it will stop working for awhile. I had this happen to me the first time I tried to use my controller wired and thought that I fried the adaptor! Thankfully, it started to work again a few minutes after leaving it plugged in with the system on. This should be considered a limitation of the Switch hardware and not the dongle itself, as this issue does not occur with the dongle connected to a PC that allows USB power in standby.
Overall, I STRONGLY recommend this dongle if you wanted to use you fancy controller with the Switch.
EDIT: Turns out that USB controllers CAN be used to wake the Switch while in docked mode. If you’re using a wired network adaptor then the USB ports will turn back on when the Switch is put into sleep mode, allowing you to wake the system by pressing the HOME button on the controller. I tested this with both an Xbox one S, Elite Series 2 and a PS4 controller. There is still a delay when waking the Switch with a wireless controller, but wired USB controllers will allow you to wake the system almost instantly. Definitely upped my review a star because of this, because now I can use my Elite Series 2 controller with my Xbox ONE, PC and my Nintendo Switch. I can’t recommend this product enough!
This little dongle is a lifesaver if you want to use an Xbox controller or a dual shock controller however you cannot run more than one controller even if you have two side-by-side because they give interference just be aware of tha
This bit of kit does exactly what it says on the tin.
I bought this to use my old WiiU pro controller on my Switch.
I was a bit sceptical over how effective it would be but I couldn’t be happier. I have hidden the magic NS using a USB socket inside the TV dock.
A fantastic buy as within a few minutes my WiiU Pro was working with the switch in perfect harmony. I’ve not tried any other controllers with it as I don’t need to.
I’m very pleased and highly recommend the product.
Worked exactly as advertised. Used it to connect my xbox one controller to my nintendo switch which had no problem at all.
Bought for ny switch as i didnt wabt to pay 60 quid for a peo controlker especially when i have ps4 controllers lying around
supports one controller either wired or wireless and suprisingly works really well and is multi platform
Does what it says. Saved lot of money being able to use ps3 controller on switch rather than buy new controlle
Excellent product, easy to use. Connected in the dock of Nintendo Switch. Super simple, no lags at all. Using with a Ps4 controller to play Nintendo Switch. Fantastic.
Solves alot of problems and eliminates compatibility issues all around.
Does what it says. The quality is really good and the result is perfect.
I used it on my Nintendo Switch, both with the docking station and in handle version. I used a PS4 and PS3 controllers, both worked perfectly.
I have tested it with the wireless mode with the PS4 controller and the result is perfect.
Does exactly as described, great product (especially if you have a Wii U pro controller and don’t want to fork out money for a Switch one)
I mainly bought this because I prefer playing most Switch games with a Gamecube controller. However, when playing games such as Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair, the B button is jump to cater to the Switch Pro controller and Switch remote’s button layout. But with a GC controller, the oversized A button is the only option; B is not happening. I mainly use the Exlene Bluetooth Gamecube Controller, and while it worked in wired mode perfectly fine in the magic-ns and allowed me to swap A and B, unfortunately it would not work after disconnecting the USB. This was the case for Switch Pro mode as well as Switch mode, and yes it had Wired mode set to On in the settings. I then tried plugging a PS3 controller into the magic-ns, it worked instantly. Then I disconnected the USB and it paired right away via bluetooth. I was able to map B to the X button of the PS3 controller by holding Start and I believe Circle for a few seconds, which solved my issue of the jump button placement. The only downside is Circle is confirm in the menus and X is cancel/back, but it’s a small price to pay for a better platforming experience. I also tried the PowerA Wired USB controller and it does not work at all in either Switch Pro or Switch mode. I don’t have a wireless PowerA to test, but I’m assuming if the wired version wouldn’t work that the other probably won’t either. I tried an old USB Retrolink NES controller as well and it didn’t work, but I expected that. Would have been cool to use it for NES games on Switch though. I certainly don’t expect it to work with every controller, so the reason I ultimately took off a star is because when the Switch goes to sleep, the red LED (I use Switch mode) on the magic-ns doesn’t stop blinking! It’s pretty annoying, so I just unplug it when I’m done with it. I confirmed he firmware is the latest at this time, 1.26.
The adapter itself works fine and is very easy to set up however I’ve noticed a few issues with it.
1. There seems to be a slight amount of input lag compared to when I use the same controllers on PC (this includes wired to the adapter and wireless)
2. When using the Xbox controller via wireless, the HOME button (bright XBOX button in the middle) doesn’t work at all however if plugged in it works fine. I’ve tried a DS4 with the adapter too and it seems to work fine both wired and wireless so I think there’s a bug in the firmware with the Xbox controller specifically. Not a big issue but it does mean you will have to use the Xbox controller wired if you want to be able to go back to the home screen (unless you have a joycon on the side for that).
Overall 4 stars. Would be 5 stars if the issue with the Xbox controllers was fixed.
Edit: the middle xbox button seems to be working now. Apparently if you have both joycons plugged in it won’t work but if you disconnect them it does. Weird but I’m glad it works anyway. Changed to 5 stars.
Excellent adapter. Used on my laptop with my Dualshock 3 controller. This has been a pain in the past with other adapters but easily done using the full size USB port on this adapte
Great item, works perfectly. Playing Zelda on my switch with my PS4 controller is brilliant. I have it plugged in to the usb port on the back of the dock so you cant even see it.
These are great, if you have other consoles and really dont want to spend 50+ on switch controllers this is your better/,cheaper alternative.
A little tricky to initially connect, but worked out that the function had to be adjusted. Once this was done the controller connected and worked well.
I used this for RetroPie to connect a PS4 controller that would not connect properly using regular Bluetooth (some PS4 controllers connect instantly – others don’t). This works perfectly with no noticeable lag.
I have a ps4 Xbox one and Wii u pro controller so getting this and using the Wii u pro controller on the switch has saved me buying a new switch controller.
I’ve tested this thing out enough on a Logitech F310 (wired) controller connected through the Mayflash Magic-NS adapter to the Nintendo Switch for a review. The adapter is updated to v1.26. This controller has no rumble, NFC, and does not have enough buttons for the capture button, but it does have a home button. So this will not be addressed as issues of the adapter. Controller works on X-input only (D-input not supported).
Pros: The buttons and d-pad respond great with no input lag, adapter has different LED lights that indicate which mode you are on, clear and easy setup instructions, product has been receiving updates (PS1 Classic now supported)
Cons: The analog sticks have latency that is noticeable in games like Doom 2016 (delay on left analog stick, no delay on d-pad and right analog stick responds better than left) and Smash Bros Ultimate (20% chance of performing a manual side smash on left analog stick, slight latency when walking using left analog stick, right thumbstick works well, no problems when switching to dpad), Rocket League has slight delay on left analog stick (dpad is fine), Cel Damage HD has slight delay on left analog stick, Disco Dodgeball Deluxe has slight left analog stick delay, and the button on the adapter to switch modes is very tiny
Adjusting controller sensitivity didn’t help with Doom 2016 and Disco Dodgeball Deluxe.
Games on Switch tested that worked well, even with analog sticks: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Legend of Zelda BOTW (no motion control support though), Mario Odyssey (same as BOTW), SNES Online games (better than Joy Cons), NES Online (same as SNES), Fortnite (works nicely), Gunman Clive (no issues), Minecraft (no issues), Mario Tennis Aces (no issues), Yooka-Laylee (no issues), Tetris 99 (no issues), Human Fall Flat (no issues), Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy (no issues), Rayman Legends (no issues)
As you can see, I went through vigorous testing of this adapter. Overall, this adapter is neat for what it does, but it needs more progress with the analog sticks. Hopefully, Mayflash will provide an update that resolves this issue in the future. Thank you for reading my extensive review on the Mayflash Magic NS adapter.
I bought this stick due to hearing great things. I wanted to give my Wii U pro controller a new lease of life, this allows me to use it with my Switch,Steam PC,only downside is the rumble does not work.
You can also use this to connect to xbox and playstation,Neo Geo mini and playstation classic. Theybare always updating the firmware so check out the website for compatibility and downloads.
Works with xbox one, PS3 and PS4 controller. I mostly use it with my nintendo switch and it works perfectly.
I bought this to use my PS4 pads with my switch due to joycon drift and so far it works really well. The switch pro setting on the dongle means the gyros work which is important for BOTW. Simple to set up and way cheaper than even a cheaper 3rd party switch pad.
you dont really have to buy another controller (unless you really want too) this for me works well for my switch I dont really want to get another controller just so my other one can collect dust so this device is really useful to me
works great with the switch using an xbox one s controller wirelessly. Instructions are clear too and detailed. pluged in pair controller and turned on switch pro controller in the switch settings and all good. rumble works too.
Took a bit of time to work out connection but once done it worked a treat.
Purchased to allow me to use a PS3 pad on my switch – which it does perfectly. It an also be used to tie basically most wireless controllers to most devices, I have used to to attach to a PC and also an Android based TV. Brilliant bit of kit – just make sure to read the instructions as changing modes and pairing are essential to get it working correctly.
No lag, no fuss after initial pairing just an excellent gizmo all around.
Took a little bit of switching modes on the actual USB stick, but I soon got my Xbox one controller working perfectly on my Switch. Being able to swap the buttons so that A=A on the Xbox controller makes plays playing on Switch so much more comfortable now I can use the button layout I’m used to.
There is very few products, especially of this nature, that are literally plug and play. Flawless – just plugged my PS4 controller into the dongle with the charging cable, enabled pro wired connection and switched it to pro setting on the dongle (purple) and worked perfect.
Fantastic worked straight out the box with ps4 and my Nintendo switch
Works perfectly but does not include gyro support at time of writing.
I can even use it with my android phone to play emulators.
Works but sometimes disconnect from my switch after a while
Worked perfectly. Didn’t even need to update it like some people mentioned.
Worked perfectly with setup needed. I did change modes to turn off the rumble since I prefer to play without. The dongle worked plugged inside the dock so it was out of the way, although it is very tight to get a cable in to play in wired mode when plugged inside. Ill probably charge using the exterior usb connection as it only needs to be plugged in to the dongle to sync on first use. Wish I could connect multiple controllers, otherwise perfect.
I disliked the fact I cant play on the ps4 controller away from the TV.
Apart from that a great peace of kit.
Saves you money if you don’t want to buy a switch controller.
I have a Scuff PS4 infinity controller and I got it working with my switch in seconds with this, it works perfectly.
Does exactly what it says. Simple to set up, no complaints so far. Currently running a 360 controller fine.
Works well, although better wired than wireless.
Occasional slow response on fortnite when used wirelessly
his is an an amazing product. works perfect been playing mario odyssey on switch with a PS4 controller 🙂 love it many thanks
Works well most of the time. Occasional connectivity issues when multiple adaptors are connected to one switch (possible interference?) Playing with one on a USB cable and one on Bluetooth works better.
Been using on my Nintendo Switch with an Xbox joystick, it is awesome!
Why pay top price for Switch pro when i can buy this and use the Wii U pro controller? Works wthout wii u pro controller wires and easy to set up must buy for people looking to save some money as the Switch can get expensive to buy for.
Works very well, it simulates a USB-connected controller on whichever console/PC you play on, and works flawlessly.
I’d like to see a version that allows for a wireless controller and a wired controller to be connected at the same time, or two wireless controllers (hence the need for me to buy 2), but I understand that this may be difficult in a universal adapter, so I am very happy with my purchases!
Perfect if you don’t want to spend so much on a pro controller.
My son has not stopped telling me how good the NS stick is he is so happy as it’s so quick and easy to use
Took a bit to figure out, button input is not entirely intuitive, seemed to need a software update to really work. Once you have it running it works fine.
It works perfectly on my Nintendo Switch using my Xbox One X game pad.
Excellent piece of kit. I have a PS4 and Switch, so being able to use my PS4 controller with the Switch is so nice!
Included USB adapter is nice touch, allowing you to use it without the dock.
Perfect. Use my xbox one controller on the switch, much cheaper and better than buying a pro controller. Also works well using joycons/pro controller on the pc, a bit more hassle and not sure why you’d want to do that, but now the options there I guess!
Works like a charm, My son can use PS3 controller
You have to give up motion control but then again most of the games do not necessarily require that
Works every time
While not every game will accept ps4 output, you can make it sync as xbox360 and it will still work! Or you can always plug in the usb cable into it and use it that way. Great little gadget for those who want to use their ps4 controllers wirelessly on a pc.
The one thing that would take this to a 5 star product for me would be if they changed the behavior of the button on the side.
The thing is I bought this specific device over competing products because in addition to working on Nintendo Switch I could also plug it into my PS3 and use all the same controllers with it as well. But the way the little button works is you press it once quickly to sync or press and hold it to change between modes. This makes cycling through the 4 different modes, from switch to PS3/PC Then back, more of a chore than it should be. Press and hold until the light changes color then release… Press and hold until the light changes color then release… and stop when you get to the mode you want.
Now this wouldn’t be all that bad until I realized my son would have to change it back when he wants to use it with his Switch again. Or I’d have to do it myself every time I’m done. If we could just click the button a few times to switch back and forth it wouldn’t be an issue for either of us and in time I’m sure muscle memory would take over making it something we wouldn’t even think about. But the hold, watch, release, repeat makes it more trouble than it’s worth and it stays in the Switch exclusively thus not being used to my full expectation of what I was buying it for.
Make no mistake it does a great job giving our Wii U Pro Controller a second life as a Switch Pro Controller stand in. And the Xbox One Controller works just as well aside from the different lettering on the buttons. And it does work great on the PS3 too.
What’s frustrating is you really only use the sync function once for each controller. It would make more sense if that was done by holding the button and switching modes was done with a single press since that’s something you might do multiple times a day.
And this should be something that can be fixed with a firmware update so maybe I’ll try contacting the manufacturer next. At least then I can just cut and paste parts of this review when explaining my issue.
I am using this on my PS3, and I have tried both an xbox one s controller and ps4 controller. Both worked fine, and the ps/home button worked on them both too. Bluetooth also works, although it takes a few seconds to scan.
So glad I bought this I can now use my ps3 controller when playing Nintendo switch and so easy to use it’s a much cheaper option than buying joy con controllers I would recommend this
I just received this adapter yesterday and started testing and fooling with it immediately. The only type of controller I’ve tried pairing it with so far is a Wii U Pro Controller, but I tested it on both my Switch and my PC (WIndows 10), and it worked great on both, you just have to follow the instructions and you’ll be on your way in no time. Once you learn how to use this adapter, it’s simple.. I’ll lay out the basics in the next paragraph.
When the adapter is plugged into a PC or Switch, there will be an LED flashing slowly. If you hold the small button on the side of the adapter for a moment, it’ll turn off and come back as a different color. You want Red for Switch, and usually Green for PC (for Xinput. There’s also a blue for Dinput, but I haven’t tested it yet. Then to connect a controller you tap the little black button instead of holding it, and it will flash much more quickly to indicate it’s searching for a controller to pair with, so then press the Sync button on your controller (on the Wii U Pro Controller it’s on the back of the controller). You should see the controller flash for a few seconds, then both things will stop flashing and they’ll be synced up.
After setting it up the first time, you won’t need to repeat this process unless you want to change controllers, or change between console and pc. It will remember the controller that is paired to it, even after it’s been turned off, so when you turn your console back on, and press a button on the controller to wake it up, they should re-pair automatically.
Later in the evening, I had a friend over to play Smash Bros Ultimate, and it worked flawlessly the whole time. You never would have known it was connected through a third-party device. All the buttons are laid out as expected. One concern you may have, especially if you’re planning on using this as your primary controller, is that the WUP controller doesn’t have a Share button for capturing screenshots, but Mayflash has you covered.. simply press + and – at the same time to use the Share feature.
Overall, it’s extremely convenient, and exactly what I needed in order to get a quality Player 2 controller connected to my Switch for Smash without spending an arm and a leg on another Switch Pro Controller. This is only about 20 bucks, and it works.
I love this little thing. I now play Nintendo Switch with a PS4 wireless pad and it is better than the Nintendo Pro Controller. The Ps4 pad had better everything than the pro. The dongle is so easy to set up and use I had it working in seconds, just turn it to purple and away you go
I wanted a better controller to play Fortnite, Paladins and Splatoon2 on our Nintendo Switch but didn’t want to spend 60 for the official PRO controller. We already some PS4 controllers and the Magic-NS works perfectly with them.
Worked out of the box with one flaw: the Y-axis on the left stick was inverted. Fixed easily with the update file from Mayflash’s support site.
Read a lot of reviews before picking this up even though it was a couple of quid more than the next best option. SO glad I did, the unit itself is great and came with button stickers for your controllers and an adaptor dongle that I wasn’t expecting. This unit fits inside your switch dock case something others don’t and great for traveling.
So this little thing does about as much as it says on the box. The one big defect at the moment is that it will not take JoyCon analogue stick inputs as analogue and instead read them as 8 direction digital input. In practice, this means it’s not suitable to play complex 3D games on a PC with JoyCons.
Analogue does work in other conversions, though, including other controllers on Switch, and it still works to recycle your old DInput fightsticks and older controllers as well. Just be aware that if you were hoping to replace your PC controller by compact JoyCons this will not do that effectively.
Bought this as I have a 2nd xbox one s controller that I haven’t been using, works flawlessly. Saved me a lot of money compared to buying a new switch pro controller.
Absolutly brilliant. I have a bunch of Xbox 360 controllers left over and they work great with this product. If you have a wired controller, they work by just connecting it. I bought this specifically, because I have a Hori Real Arcade Pro VX SA Arcade Stick for the XBox 360 that I would like to be able to use with my Switch. It worked right away after just plugging it in. I also have wireless Xbox 360 controllers, and they work too, if you have the Microsoft wireless adapter for the PC ( Official Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver For Windows (Xbox 360) . I just paired it and it worked right out of the box. My Mayflash Magic-NS came with the latest firmware, v1.21. Make sure you are running that in order to support wireless Xbox 360 controllers. Absolutely brilliant product!
I decided to buy this for my Switch since the joy cons are not very comfortable and a little small for me, and I wanted to make use of a XBox 360 controller I have. The adapter works perfectly fine with my third party XBox 360 controller and can use it with the games that don’t require motion control.
I bought this in order to use an xbox360 Madcatz Fightpad on the switch, specifically for Street Fighter collection. It works perfectly with absolutely no fuss.
After a quick test with a DS4 controller I’m very happy. Took a couple of minutes to get used to syncing/switching between modes but it works perfectly now, the controller even finds it quickly when it’s removed from the Switch and plugged back in. Used this and the DS4 to play Rocket League – a game where any type of latency is noticeable – and couldn’t find any issues even when playing over bluetooth. Works fine in either docked or handheld mode. Tested it in Multiplayer too and it also works well.
As a bonus the design/look of the included USB A – C adapter is really nice
It works! Have connected both my Wii U pro controller and my PS4 controller. Need to update firmware (plug into a PC and open .exe file from latest download from their website) to make gyro work on ps4 controller. Rumble a little strong.
2 minor issues.
1, instructions lacking in how to sync ps4 controller (hold ps button & share, cheers youtube).
2, won’t power on with Switch, need to turn on switch then plug in device.
perfect for ps4 controller to pc
i have this and 8bitdo usb adapter and both work like a charm
Works fine with PS4 controller, the manual was a bit confusing, but after watching a youtube tutorial about this it worked straight away. I highly recommend this.
It just works.
The instructions aren’t the greatest, however others have posted guidelines that should help you.
Only tried with connecting a DualShock 4 to the Switch but assume it will work with a Xbox One pad too.
Use it for fighting games for player 2 my fightstick doesn’t need an adaptor but for player 2 worked for with a 360 pad wired and wireless ps4.
Excellent device which allows you to use existing controllers on the Switch. I have a few Mayflash products and they’re generally very good, with regular firmware updates. If you’ve already got a PS3/PS4 or Wii U Pro Controller lying around, this is a fraction of the price of the Switch Pro Controller and will give you a better experience. What’s not to like?
Worked perfectly as a fourth player for mario kart. Just to not as the xbox one s controller and dual shock 4 controller don’t have hd rumble there will be no control over the amount of rumble. Meaning this a small rumble in mario kart will be really loud. I recommend turning rumble off for one s controller. Dualshock 4 works with its gyroscope features and rumble but again the rumble is annoying. Hopefully may flash can get a firmware update for this i the feature.
I have used this to connect a PS3 controller to use with the Switch, and it works perfectly, we needed another controller to play lego undercover and at 60 i couldn’t justify a set of joy cons, so bought this to try.
Took a while to work out how to connect the PS3 controller as the instructions are useless, but it turned out to be obvious, you need to make sure the Magic-NS is flashing red, and then connect the controller to it using the PS3 charging cable, it synced immediately, we could then unplug it and use it wirelessly, all the buttons work as expected so is easy to get used to.
I plan to buy another 3 of these plus a usb hub so we can have four player mario cart.
We also have PS4 controllers should we ever need the gyro, but so far the unused PS3 controller has been perfect.
Simple to use, does whats promised. Working without any problems on my Switch and PC.
This dongle quite useful but sticks out a little in the Switch dock. I used it for an old usb Fight-stick and it syncs up easily with Xboxone Bluetooth controllers too too. I tried a few switch games and they seemed to work so it might be handy for racing wheels too as it has that usb slot in the end of it but i haven’t tried yet though. It also comes with a separate usb-c to usb (standard female) adapter that’s useful for other items too.
Amazed at this. Used in my switch (already have a pro controller but didn’t fancy shelling out another ~60 for a second one). So, looked at this as I have an abundance of ps4 controllers, it works flawlessly. Ensure it’s on the purple light mode (and follow other instructions for tricking it into seeing it as a wired controller etc), and connect and it feels as good as the pro controller – including all the motion controls and everything. Highly recommended for the price – you can use it in your pc too. Seen reviews saying they had issues if they left it plugged in – simple resolution – leave it unplugged unless you need it. Not had any problems at all!
Mine came updated with the latest software (which is 1.19 at the the of writing this) so basically it’s almost plug and play after you connect the adapter to the switch and your controller of choice to the adapter and then get the mode right. After that, the controller and the adapter remember each other so you just have to turn your controller on.
Works great with wii u pro controller. Took a little time to work out the pairing, instructions not good but recommend produc
The magic-Nsa is an excellent product to use old joystick and it’s working perfectly for the switch
What an awesome little device, literally plug in sync with your control(using PS4 control at the moment) fully supports rumble and gyroscope functions couldn’t be easier to use. Playing Zelda with a PS4 control is weird but awesome!
Using with a ps4 controller, easy to set up but would advise to plug into front port as i kept loosing signal when inside the dock. no loss in lag but on occasion the right stick will get stuck when panning the camera around,(could be clashing with a nearby devices signal) but other youtube reviews ive seen havent experienced any issues, Better than a pro controller thats for sure!
If you haven’t, you should! This little adaptor is perfect for enhancing your Nintendo Switch experience – especially if a certain controller works better for you over the official Nintendo controller, plus I can use my fight pad from my 360 on my Switch for when Street Fighter and BlazBlue X Tag come out later this yea
Works perfectly with the Switch using a PS4 controller. Mine came with the latest firmware already installed (v1.19). Motion controls fully functioning. Simple instructions but worked for me.
It really works and if you have not got 60 for another controller for the Nintendo switch it’s a really good way of connecting any other controller from a different console
works ok in RED mode, PURPLE mode does nothing, no motion control, no rumble, nothing.
i have updated the stick this morning.
EDIT :- PURPLE mode works fine, motion & rumble work flawlessly, i just needed to enable pro controller over usb setting.
A few reviews here are a bit outdated now. To enable Dualshock rumble and motion:
* Update the dongle to v1.19+ using a PC.
* Set “pro controller over usb” in your Switch menu.
* Press the button on the dongle until the LED turns purple.
MOTION – The controls themselves work very well. After testing them in Splatoon 2 and Zelda I do feel they are slightly less accurate than Nintendo controllers when aiming to the sides, but otherwise not bad at all. They’re certainly good enough for the ‘waggle’ motions Mario Odyssey requires. If motion is the only thing tempting you towards a Pro Controller instead, I definitely recommend giving the updated Mayflash a try as an alternative.
RUMBLE – This is a little more hit and miss. Games with basic feedback like Zelda work great and are perhaps even an improvement if you prefer the feel of Dualshock 4 rumble. HOWEVER, you may find that some HD rumble games just don’t translate well to standard rumble: Mario Odyssey uses it for so many reasons that your controller will practically be rumbling nonstop. Splatoon almost works properly, but the indistinguishable vibrations felt when moving through ink safely and taking damage might be confusing enough to put you at a disadvantage.
If this bothers you, vibrations can usually be turned off on a per game basis, and some like Mario Kart even work absolutely fine, so it’s not a huge issue. Ultimately I think it’s a good feature to have, but it’s still definitely one of the main trade offs compared to a more expensive Nintendo controller.
OVERALL PROS – There isn’t really any noticeable input lag, it fits nicely out of sight inside the back compartment of the Switch dock, has a good wireless range, works with a variety of wired/wireless controllers (with a more reliable d-pad than the Pro), all Switch buttons are accounted for (on DS4) and it doesn’t need to be touched once you are set up other than to assign new controllers.
CONS – Only one player can connect per dongle, motion feels a little more sluggish turning to the sides than up/down, games might give inconsistent feedback if designed for HD rumble (see above) and the console can’t be switched on remotely with the controller.
Does what it says on the tin, connected my Xbox one S pad nicely.
You just need to remember to enable switch pro wired mode. (System Settings – > Controllers & Sensors – > Pro Controller Wired Communication – > Set to on.
Does what it says on the box.. worked oerfecrly wirh my switch and PS4/ xbox one S controller !
I have only used this for about 30 minutes so far, but it has been great, so far. A cursory glance at the instructions and I was happily using my DS4 controller wirelessly on my switch. My particular device feels a bit sturdier in hand than other reviews have suggested.
** update ** I’ve been using for the best part of a week now and it has held up flawlessly. No lag whatsoever. The only improvement i could think of would be supporting motion control, but that’s nowhere near essential.
Works perfectly dualshock 4 shows up as a switch pro controller. Had to update the dongle via the mayflash website to get rumble to work just have make sure in the switch settings to enable pro controller over usb. Have used a third party wii u pro controller and works great. Tried it on pc and the dualshock 4 shows as a xbox one controller which works so much better then the official dualshock 4 pc adapte
Works just as you would expect, easy to connect the Pro Controller and functions perfectly
Works as described. Very happy this was amazon prime too as I have been waiting for this!
