Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was skeptical to spend a lot of money on a stethoscope for my first clinical in nursing school, but i’m so glad i did. all of the sounds are clear, both the diaphragm and bell are very clear and high quality. some of my friends actually ask to use my stethoscope if they’re having a hard time hearing sounds. overall very high quality and definitely worth the price!!

Absolutely love this stethoscope . I have a mdf lightweight and the cardiology one . I can hear very good with both . In the back of an ambulance. Sirens blaring . Still can hear good . Love it ..

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAmazon has been a pain and terrible in handling this order. I had to call my bank to dispute this charge for an item that was canceled and didn’t get a refund due to an amazon glitch!
The customer rep was no help despite this being an amazon issue.
I ordered from the MDF site, and they were a joy and the best to work with. I wish Amazon would learn from them.
Amazon’s 2-day delivery is a joke and a rip-off; MDF delivery was sooner than the anticipated date. MDF site is the best for this!

I wanted to purchase this as I needed a new stethoscope. It has great quality for the product. It is so clear to hear the beats of the heart.

Sehr gut verarbeitet.

This is a great stethoscope, forget the littman you used to love like a baby squirrel, try the titanium

I bought this for my friend who is a doctor. She loved it. The stethoscope is light in weight, and it works good. According to my friend, the sound quality is good and it works well at work. It’s also eye catching since it’s different and colorful. She recommends it.

The sound quality is great, however, the tubing is like twice as thick as other stethoscopes so
It is bulky and stiff, not very flexible. Still like it, just not as comfortable to wear around my neck and use

Perfetto strumento da lavoro e sonoro meglio del Litmann. La testina pesa troppo, meglio se di alluminio.

It is a little heavier then my previous stethoscopes but the sound quality is fantastic. The price was so much cheaper then other brands cardiology stethoscopes I have used in the past.

Got this to replace the one I accidentally left on the unit, when I came back 10 minutes later it had mysteriously disappeared. Oh well. I love this stethoscope so much. Started out with it in nursing school and prefer this to any other I’ve tried. Had a quality Littman, tried a cheapy Littman, tried a noncardiac MDF. Even though this one is super thick and doesn’t flex as much as others, the sound quality is far superior. That’s what a stethoscope is supposed to do right?! I’d rather have good quality sound than have the convenience of being able to fit in my pocket. It does fit in my scrub jacket pocket by the way. It’s just stiffer than any other I’ve used.

I’m a RRT and I absolutely love this. I can hear very well with it. I especially love that I can interchange the bell and diaphragm to Peds/NICU (although I did not buy the additions…yet). It is fairly thicker than what I am accustomed to with the tubing. I do love the design and feel nonetheless. Very comfortable earpieces too, I have my Tragus pierced and it does not tug on my jewelry or make it uncomfortable with use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am an ICU nurse and I’ve always had a Littmann stethoscope. Mine broke after being bleached so much during COVID. An RT told me to try this brand. I swear I can hear people’s soul with this thing! It’s a little heavy, but they make lighter ones.
This is by far the best quality sound ever! I feel like I’ve been missing subtle sounds for years now!
This is the only brand I’ll ever use now!
Plus the prices are soooo much better!

I ordered this for my wife who just got her RN license and she said the noise canceling was better than the littman classic 3 by far, but as far as how much more she could hear she couldn’t tell the difference yet….also if you order the marble pattern is kinda faint so you have to really look at it, but so far she loves it.

I am a respiratory therapist that normally uses a littman. I’ve used two different littmans and just couldn’t hear well enough anymore. Took a chance on this stethoscope and I have been so pleased. It is a little heavier but worth it for me. I would purchase it again and highly recommend it.

Not quite as loud as the top brand. I can hear food cardiac sounds through 2 layers of clothing and breath sounds through 3. Great for my FNP career, as I’m not a cardiologist. 1 warning, do not bend the tubing tight, it will crease in a bag.

This a great stethoscope and costs a fraction of its name-brand counterpart. I am a hospice nurse who uses it for assessments and when pronouncing. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a high-quality stethoscope. Plus, it looks pretty snazzy.

    New nurse here.

I had a decent stethoscope before this purchase, but I felt like I couldn’t hear anything. My co-worker loaned me hers for one patient, and I was hooked. Breath sounds are so clear, and there is a decreased incidence of interference -You can differentiate a crackle vs. clothing rustle.

With my old set, all I could really hear were the internal noises of my fingers (cracks). I don’t hear that anymore.

I had lost my Littman cardiology III. I needed a replacement. I was really worried about getting a lower quality stethoscope. I’ve been extremely pleased with this. It’s a little bit heavier Than my old one. However, I’ve had several people use it and comment on the sound quality. The price is half that of other brands. This has been an excellent stethoscope I would highly recommend it.

This stethoscope is sturdily designed and has excellent acoustics. It is a little bit heavier than a Littman Master Cardiology stethoscope, but not uncomfortable to wear around the neck like other dual head stethoscopes can be. I am planning on purchasing a second one for hospital rounds. Strongly recommend this instrument.
Since it’s new I haven’t had to replace any parts yet, but it’s nice to know that replacement parts are free.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood sound quality but very heavy. I regret going with a cardio model because it is so heavy it bothers my neck to wear all shift. I don’t think the sound quality increase is worth the weight. Tubing is very stiff and it doesn’t fit in most cases.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve used quite a few stethoscopes over the decades, some good, some not so good, and of them all this MDF is the one I like the most. It’s a wee bit heavier than some I’ve used, but that reflects its robust construction. The earpads and angled head design make the prolonged wearing of this stethoscope more comfortable than other ‘scopes I’ve used, and I find the hefty steel chestplate to be solid, easy to hold, and remarkably good at conveying sound. While this is not an active device (amplified with battery power) I find it more than sensitive enough for my use. Keep in mind I’m not a cardiologist, but a friend who is borrowed this from me and was suitably impressed at the value it represented.

Typically, I replace my ‘scopes at regular intervals but I have a feeling this MDF will last longer than my last device, and I have so far enjoyed using it. While most of my use is on humans, I do check my dogs with it too (one of them has a heart condition) and it works just fine on wolfhounds! Quite impressed! I wish I had a device this good decades ago!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI am so excited that I can finally hear breath sounds with this stethoscope. I really struggled with it throughout nursing school and thought it was just me. My mom bought this for me as a graduation gift to use on the job and OMG it’s amazing!! It is a bit heavy but nothing too bad, I didn’t have a problem carrying it on my shoulders. (I don’t like to put my steths down since people in the hospital strangely become kleptomaniacs at the most inopportune times!)

Great stethoscope! I purchased this to replace an old Litmann stethoscope that had gone missing on a ward. To buy the same Litmann again would have been similar in price. The sound quality on this is far superior. I’m glad I went with the MDF!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am Paramedic that needs a reliable and effective stethoscope daily. Being able to pick up lung sounds in the back of a moving ambulance or auscultating a BP can be extremely frustrating with my previous stethoscope.

Fortunately for my patients, I happen to misplace my older one and found this MDF. It is much clearer, background noise is reduced and I can easily hear sounds that used to require intense concentration to aquire.

My work environment is likely to be the most difficult one to regular use of a stethoscope so take my review for what it worth.

Golden Review Award: 134 From Our Usersits heavy, and its a bit long -so that if you leave it dangling from your neck by the ear pieces it runs the risk of smacking you directly in the balls when it swings. But its built like a tank and it does what everyone except a cardiologist needs their stethoscope to do. At less than half the price of a similar Littman, its hard not to root for it.
If youre fresh out of medschool and still want to pretend youre on your way to becoming William Osler, eat the cost of the Littman. If youre mid-career, youve already choked down the cost of a few lost $200 scopes and youre having trouble remembering the last time your floored a crowd of peolpe by picking up a subtle, life threatening murmur… then you might just be ready for this functional and reasonably priced workhorse.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve no idea how this compares with a ‘like for like’ on equivalent specification with Littmann but on a price-to-price comparison it appears *much* better. Below is a simple good/bad comparison to my previous steth (a Littman Classic III).

    Bad:
    – Heavier
    – Much stiffer tubing (although it seems like it’s angled at the right angle for typical bedside examination)
    (Not as many colour options?!)

    Good:
    – *Much* better sound quality – which surely must be the overriding factor
    – (Apparently) lifetime free replacement of parts (and some spares already supplied)
    – Softer earpieces with multiple size options – definitely a very important factor when you’re using it every day a lot.

(I am a junior doctor working mostly in medicine.)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIm a paramedic and purchased this as a stand-in after I misplaced my Littmann Classic II SE. I had already purchased a Classic III but was worried it wouldn’t arrive in time for my next run of shifts so picked this up with prime delivery. So far I haven’t tried this in the field but using it on house mates I can say that the acoustics are absolutely fantastic. Lung sounds are amplified and I can hear clearly even through clothing. Compared to my old Classic II and new Classic III this steth is a huge cut above the rest. I can only see one downside which is the size and weight – this will not fit into my pocket and may need to live in my obs kit. I will update this review after using it in the field.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI have a Cardiology III stethoscope that is very important to me (it was given to me as a gift by my family when I started med school, and has my name on it), and wanted to have a substitute stethoscope that I could carry with me on my busier rotations where things frequently get borrowed/misplaced (but where a good set of ears is still of the utmost importance). I love this stethoscope – it feels massive and sturdy, and the sound that I get from it is unbelievably clear. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a stethoscope that will give them amazing sound, and who doesn’t mind carrying around a little extra weight (I keep mine in a Bat Clip, so the weight is off of my neck). It’s a great-looking stethoscope, too 🙂

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI love this stethoscope. I have never liked the Littman Master Cardiology combined bell/ diaphram. I feel that when you have something doing two jobs it is always a bit of a compromise. The goal of the bell is to vary the pressure to change the frequency that you are listening to. The ear tips have excellent noise isolation so that I cannot hear the patients talking. Very good for the ER or Urgent care. The company has FREE replacement ear tips, diaphrams and rubber “cold” rings for the life of the scope. It has a lifetime guarantee. The tubing is stiff to begin with but has softened over time. It is very sturdy and well made.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis stethoscope is comparable to my cardiology III STETHOSCOPE. I was listening to hear and lung sounds on my husband with the radio on in the car and could still delineate sounds, which was promising. The tubing is strong and does a great job reducing external variation. The one drawback is the ear pieces are a little flimsy, but I assume that is to form easier to the inlet of the ear. I love this scope and hope it lasts as long as my cardiology III. I would’ve given it a 5 star rating if the ear pieces didn’t feel like they would fall apart from constant use.
