Coffee tastes fine
A few points I didn’t see mentioned: The jug is quite heavy and not very well insulated – so gets warm on the outside; the unit is taller than other coffee machines; it’s also quite a bit noiser (in addition to the usual gurgles, it makes a rushing noise, rather like a distant jet engine).
It makes good coffee that doesn’t stew on the hot plate. All in all this much better than other coffee machines

Easy to use, easy to clean, timer works and the coffee tastes so much better than from a pod machine. No guilt from throwing pods in the bin because local recycling facilities can’t take them!
Thermal jug keeps the coffee hot for quite a while without stewing it like a hot plate does. Brews quickly too. The 9+ mins I saw in one advert must have been for a full jug, rather than just a couple of mugs as it’s far, far quicker than that.
Can’t see how it can be improved or why you’d buy a more expensive model that does the same thing. Bargain.

Love this coffee machine
Bought this when our old tesco model died. Unlike our old model which used to stay on forty mins this has an insulated jug which keeps the coffee hot over three hours its saved me lots of electric as we do drink a lot of coffee. Easy to use and clean it does need coffee papers a plastic filter would have been ideal. It also tells you when it needs descaling. Used for a month now coffee tastes great I love this product.

Excellent filter coffee maker, mid review on flavour as it t’s down to the coffee yo choose. The strength selector is a bonus and appears to work well. The insulated jug really works. The whole feel of the machine superior to the ‘cheapies’ and should be long lasting. At the price I paid an absolute bargain. (Not quite half rrp)
The Heat Is O
After our other machine broke, we were looking for something with a large capacity and a keep hot function. The other one had a glass jug and a hot plate, but in these days of energy frugalness, we thought a thermal jug would be a better option, and we’re not disappointed. We’re able to make a full jug and such is the efficiency of the thermal jug, it will keep warm for hours without losing any taste.
We’ve experimented with the amount of coffee and the intensity of the brew, and have got it how we like it.
It’s just what we were looking for.

Some nice features
My previous coffee Severin machine failed after nearly 10 years of daily use. I have only used the timer function once, it worked allowing me to grab a coffee before an early morning start.
The machine is quiet and switches itself off once the coffee is made. The insulated flask is robust and easy to clean. There is a function to remind you about descaling.

After many coffee machines not lasting a year in our house we decided to go filter coffee and this machine is amazing. Timer function is easy to use and is a godsend. The whole machine takes only a minute to prepare for the following mornings brew. Only minor criticism is that the flask is tricky to clean thoroughly as you can get a hand inside. Nicely Made
I have had many different Filter machines over the years, being aged in my late 50’s and enjoy coffee.
This machine has a relatively small footprint on the worktop, decent length power cable, gives you option to site it where you need to. The mixture of Black Plastic and brushed Aluminium finish makes it easy to clean and wipe down. The large water tank holds up to 15 coffee cups of water, or in my case huge mugs worth!
The Thermos style flask keep the made coffee hot for well over an hour, even though there is not keep warm heat plate, which is ample time for me to guzzle my morning wake up juice. Plus saves on electric running costs as no need for constant power to hotplate for any remaining coffee in the flask.
The paper filters, I would recommend sticking to the genuine Melitta one, they are cheap enough, especially when you buy a bulk purchase of 4 boxes at a time, which give you about a years worth of One Filter use per day.
The filter holder is easy to remove and clean, the Flask just needs a rinse through after use. The machine ahs 4 levels of water hardness (adjustable) and incorporates a descale warning when necessary, using the Melitta descaling solution then allows you to put the machine into a special descale routine.
Simple to use, with handy built in clock and timer, which allows you to set the filter coffee machine to start before you even wake, so hot coffee awaits you in the kitchen when you get up. I would recommend setting the timer about 15 minutes before your bedside alarm, thus allowing the brewing to complete before you get to the kitchen.
The flask itself has a level at the top of the handle, when your thumb rests, which you need to depress to release the coffee when pour, this helps stopping leakage and spilling the coffee when carrying the flask. Also the lid of the flasks locks into place with 2 side release catches to free the lid, further making it less likely to spill.
On the top of the machine there is an aroma selector which slightly alters the flow from the filter unit into the flask, changing the strength of the the coffee.
Complete with 2 year warranty (at the time of review) means you have worry-free period of use, and with it’s modest price makes it good value for money.

Great machine and the timer function is great. Fresh coffee every morning.
Brilliant machine
Superb coffee machine, easy to use and easy to clean.
It doesn’t have a hot plate, instead the jug is well insulated.
Only takes a couple of minutes to brew and you have instant hot coffee.
I always make enough for two mugs and I have the second one about an hour after the first one, and the coffee is still hot.
I haven’t tried leaving it any longer yet though.
I would imagine that if you have the time to fill the jug with boiling water and let it stand for a few minutes to heat it up (like you would with a flask), the coffee would stay hot for longer.
The timer feature works well, but the coffee brews quite quickly anyway so you don’t really need it.
Highly recommended.
Easy to use
This is a lovely coffee machine and will hold it hot way over the 3 hrs, I did find milk in the cup helps alot milk after made the coffee go cold.. but overall very impressed with the machine. The very best part is the timer fill up over night press the timer all set and ready to go waking up to the smell of fresh coffee is just amazing. This coffee machine is very easy to use. The only fault if I can find one is the jug is a little heavy to hold but that’s it.. great little machine very happy. Best coffee is the beans and grind them down the flavours are amazing:)

I love having a pot of filter coffee on the go while I’m working, so the new rules where the heater has to turn off after a period of time really didn’t suit me. However with this machine, problem solved.
Its dead easy to use and makes very nice filter coffee. Stays hot for hours.

Timed to Perfectio
A lovely machine and a steal at the price it was being sold at. Very simple to operate and the timer function is flawless, alongside the aroma setting which balances the flavour nicely. The insulated pot keeps the coffee warm for around an hour if you like it hot, and then it gradually cools but is still perfectly drinkable. Filters, a little sachet of descaling fluid and instructions that are easily to follow are included. It’s a good one and looks nice!

My First Coffee Success
I have bought this model due to good reviews and the way it is built, everything about this machine is easy use. Very easy to use, as well as clean, there is nothing bad about this. I use flavoured coffee and I don’t like it too strong, the intensity indicator works well for this. I do suggest buying a box of filters when purchasing as you only get 5 with the machine. I really am happy with this dream machine

Terrific in every way. Quiet, neat, easy clean.
Keep the coffee hot for longer but warming the flask first with hot kettle water, then use that to fill the machine top to use. Mix it with colder water to make coffee as the container is plastic so I avoid really hot water in there. Taylors no.4 green bag coffee i use, although other brands are available.
If it breaks in the future, I’ll buy it agai

Having had all sorts of filter coffee machines in the past and given most of them away because the coffee was never hot enough, this one with the thermos jug is the best. Finally decent coffee!

This Melitta coffee machine is excellent value for money and has some great features. I really like the insulated jug as it keeps the coffee hot for a good couple of hours and you dont need to keeep it switched on. It has an aroma selector on the top that is very simple to set and it also has a timer function which is very useful at times. There is a setting that will let you know when it is time to clean the maching, how often you’ll need to do this will depend on how hard or soft your water is and how much the machine is used. I would recommend this without hesitation, its fantastic.

Had a kitchen aid coffee machine, broke the jug. They wanted 60 for a new one bought this and will never look back. Jug keeps the coffee warm almost all day which is a bonus too!

Not sure how they measured this but on the standard takeaway cup of 8 oz I got only 7 cups, and 4 on the 12 oz.

It was exactly 8 min from full to empty and the water reservoir was on full capacity.

Holding of heat of liquid
I did a blank brew to run water through the machine, and then timed to see how long it would take to cool down. It’s been 9 hours since it has been in the thermo jug and it’s still HOT! (Steaming coming off cup in video)
It would have been nice to have a coffee measuring spoon with the machine, as I’m a total novice when it comes to coffee quantities, but this is a small thing.
Overall very happy so far with the machine.

This machine is fantastic. One of the cheapest on the market but it makes an amazing pot of coffee.
I’ve found most filter machines don’t heat the water enough to get the flavour out of the coffee so you just get a pot of light brown, luke warm water. This machine heats the water up to the right temperature to get the best out of the coffee grinds. It’s always strong enough.
The thermal jug is such a brilliant idea. It keeps the coffee genuinely hot for hours without wasting any power at all.
The timer function is easy to set, and the whole machine is easy to take apart and keep clean.
A downside for some is that it doesn’t have a permanent coffee filter. The Melitta paper filters are very cheap on Amazon though so it really doesn’t bother me, and it means you don’t get that plasticky taste a reusable filter can sometimes cause and you don’t get any coffee grind leaking through at all. It also helps with cleaning as you don’t get loose coffee grinds.
It’s 5/5 for me. I’d recommend this machine to anyone.
Fabulous machine
How did I survive before this? Coffee your way, as strong as you want it. Kept beautifully hot for a couple of hours without burning on a heat pad and it can be ready when you get up in the morning. Best money I have spent in a very long time.
Good Quality and Does the Job
I use this every day! It’s a quality build, and also keeps the coffee hot for a good while (although I pour it into a thermos jug normally anyway.) It switches itself off after 15 minutes, saving electricity, has a digital clock and timer (which I haven’t used) and reminds you to de-calc it every so often.
Best filter coffee machine I've ever had
I absolutely love this machine, so easy to use, no mess and the timer allows you to get up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee all ready for you – no more instant coffee for me.

Great product, easy to use and makes great coffee
I use this with a reusable filter, which makes this a really environmentally friendly coffee machine that also makes superb coffee. It takes some tweaking to adjust for your blend, but with the timer function it’s a very practical and usable choice. Insulated jug works well.

This is a great coffee machine. I’m not a coffee connoisseur by any stretch, and am generally happy with pretty much any type, as long as it’s fresh. The main thing I was looking for was an upgrade to an old machine which made coffee direct from the bean, but only one cup at a time. I didn’t care whether it used beans or ground coffee, as long as I could have a full jug ready to go in the morning.
Pros:
– Timer, wake up to a full jug of coffee
– Paper filters, easily disposed and recycled (no need to wash permanent filter every time/no coffee in the sink!)
– Stays hot for 2-3 hours
– Really quiet when operating
– Adjustable coffee strength dial with discernible difference in taste
– Looks good
Cons:
– My fault to some degree, but would probably prefer a removable water tank for easy filling and cleaning
– It should be possible to disassemble the jug, in order to clean it properly. Removing the lid reveals a pretty small hole, not big enough to get a sponge or cloth in with your hand, meaning you can only really rinse the jug out. Don’t know what it will be like after months/years of use, suspect it will need to be replaced.
– This is so minor, nobody will care apart from me… but the logo on the machine isn’t red, as per the pictures. It’s just printed on in monochrome. I wanted it to be red, to match our kitchen, so this bothered me a bit. But most sane people probably won’t care.
Overall, it’s great.

Fantastic coffee make
If I could give this coffee machine more than five stars, I would, it really is that good.
All of my previous coffee machines have had hotplates to keep the coffee warm, this one does not.
It has a vacuum carafe, and it keeps coffee just as hot as when it’s brewed and that was a very pleasant surprise.
It will also be cheaper to run, especially in this day and age of out of control energy prices.
Highly recommended.

As a coffee lover I can say that I had loads of coffee machine. This one is definitely the best one I have ever had. It is quick to make the coffee, the taste is awesome, it’s adjustable, it’s easy to use and clean and it conserves the coffee very hot for a long time.

Easy to clean and easy to use. I haven’t bothered with the timer settings just used it when required but you do have to set the timer before it will work so I just press the hour button once-it sets to 1 o’clock and then works ok. Then turn it off at the wall after use.
