I bought this to use when Zwifting, it connects with my Wahoo Kickr and performs well with no signal drop outs or anomalous readings.

I got this for my son who has just started a fitness programme. He is overweight and the GP has advised him to lose some weight.

He has never used a chest heart rate monitor so he has nothing to compare it to. Nevertheless, he said it pairs instantly to his smartphone and he gets almost instant updates, depending on the type of activity he’s doing. He is unsure about accuracy though but he can see a similar graph pattern after he’s done workout for several days, so even if it’s not too accurate, it shouldn’t be much.

The pad is comfortable to wear, but you need to dampen the pads first before wearing to conduct the electricity signals. It’s also rated IPX7 so it could be up to surface swimming too. My son has not used it for swimming yet so can’t comment whether it works or not.

It’s available on Amazon for 29 (with an additional 20% voucher at the time of writing) which is a very reasonable price to pay for what seems to be a comfortable and working heart rate monitor.

This heart rate band is not the easiest to connect. Remember to spray a little bit water at the sensor. It won’t work until doing some exercise. I would say it is good for cycling. It works alright with wahoo. I found this band is not the most comfortable one to wear. But it is not easy to fall off while running. It is made of IP67 waterproof material . The sensor can be removed and it prevents rust in contact area.

I wanted to move from tracking heart rate from my Fitbit to my Garmin Edge. The Garmin does a grand job of tracking my cycle rides, and I wanted a cost effective way to measure my relative effort/ workout.

The moofit HR monitor was well-rated, and well-priced. I purchased it and received it within 24 hrs, just in time to test it on a 20 mile ride.

The quality is great, nothing fancy, just simple. I had been concerned about the strap around my chest, but within minutes of putting it on, I stopped noticing entirely.

After following the instructions I stepped outside to my bike, switched the Garmin unit in, and it detected the moofit HR straight away without me even pressing a button, and asked if I wanted to use it.

Since then, it’s been a no brainer. Wear the strap, go for a ride, and everything works magically as expected.

The accuracy seems identical to Fitbit, if anything a little more stable… less peaks/ troughs – which I put this down to the Fitbit’s optical sensor and wrist placement whilst riding being prone to movement.

Very happy with the purchase, been using it now for few weeks with consistent results.

If you’re looking for a simple and effective heartrate monitor for your training, then this is a good option.

Essentially, this heart rate monitor will measure and broadcast your heartrate. A signal is sent and can be picked up via compatible ANT+ and Bluetooth devices, such as a treadmill, phone, smart watch, etc.

The heartrate monitor works by detecting the electrical signal transmitted through the heart muscle that sees it contract. In order for the monitor to take this reading, you will want to slightly moisten, with either saliva or water or a specialist gel, the plastic areas on the inside of the strap. Straps that go around the chest, such as this one, are typically more accurate than ones that go around the wrist or arm as they are closer to the source. I did a few checks where I used my fingers on my neck to measure my pulse and it was pretty accurate with no apparent lag, even when doing intervals.

In the box you get a chest strap and the heart rate monitor. The chest strap is adjustable and within a few uses you will find a comfortable fit that is tight enough to get a reading and stay secure, but not so tight that it’s compressing your breathing or uncomfortable. The heart rate monitor itself simply clips onto the chest strap and it’s very light. I also like that you can replace the battery yourself. In the past, I’ve owned monitors you’d need to send the device away to replace batteries, which is a real pain.

Connecting the monitor to your phone is very easy. I just connected it via Bluetooth in my phone’s setting, downloaded the Wahoo app and it worked perfectly. I could see my heartrate live and also record my heartrate across workouts to look at later. Once you’ve done a workout, you can see stats such as your minimum heartrate, max heart rate, average, and a graph as well.

Overall, this is a really nice device. It’s comfortable, light, easy to use with the apps I’ve tried, and discreet if that matters to you as well! 🙂

I am using this Heart rate with the Wahoo app. It is just a heart rate strap so does not measure things like cadence, vertical oscillation, or ground contact time. The most important is heart rate and this strap does a very good job measuring it.

I find it to be accurate after comparing it to other more established heart rate sensors. It is quite responsive to heart rate changes. Looking at live heart rate changes on my smartphones, I can see it responding fairly quickly to changes as I increase or reduce my workout intensity. Make sure to follow instructions on how to wear it. Only one way, you risk getting erroneous readings if the heart rate is connected to the strap in reverse order. It also needs to have the electrodes moistened with water at the start before you have any sweat to provide the needed moisture.

If you do regular exercise and want to know how your heart if responding – ensure you are reaching the right heart rate levels for the best results for instance – then wearing a chest-based monitor makes it easier and potentially more accurate. Enter the Moofit monitor with its Bluetooth connectivity along with ANT+ for other devices. I have used it connected to my phone using Bluetooth, where it was a quick easy connection to both Strava and MandM Health. The results I got were comparable with those I got from other heart rate monitors, leading me to believe the accuracy of this band is good.

One thing I have found with chest monitors in the past is that the strap is designed for smaller people than me, but I am pleased to say the capacity range of this one is excellent, and it hasn’t left me with pain from a too tight strap digging in.

Overall, recommended for its accuracy and multi-device connectivity options.

This is a simple and efficient heart rate monitor that can connect via ANT+ and Bluetooth. The readings are pretty accurate too, I’ve used this while wearing a smartwatch and while holding onto the heart rate monitors on the cross-training machines. All readings are the same, thus giving me confidence that when I’m on my rides, my data is correct and I can push further with my training.
Good a simple monitor that works well.

Very easy to set all up
    Very lightweight and comfortable

Very handy in extensive gym sessions

This heart rate monitor is relatively easy to set up and use. Unfortunately I didn’t find it that comfortable. I think that is because I am rather over-blessed in the bust department. I imagine I would have a similar problem with other monitors that go around the body.

The item looks trendy and is easy to use.

It does exactly what it is meant for and price is reasonable compared to other similar products in the market.

I used it daily when i go for my workout and run. Definitely helps me understand what works and what i need to improve on in my workout

Just need to wear the heart rate monitor and start a workout.

    It showed my heartbeat immediately.

The strap replacement is also very comfortable and easy to adjust.

    Seems a good sensor.
    HR Accuracy seems OK
The big bonus with this monitor is that is supports both Ant+ and bluetooth making a it a good option for those looking to use with phones.
Paring with my Fenix 6 was really straight forward, when onto settings, sensors and accessories and searched whilst wearing the monitor. It was found quickly and paired easily – no issues.
Size is very similar to the genuine garmin HR sensor and actually you can swap the actual sensors over to the other strap.
At first wearing it was very comfortable but then after about an hour of wear I noticed it becoming pretty scratchy on my skin which is very odd as the material is very soft to the touch.
However I can’t knock the item otherwise

Good but the strap is a little scratchy after a while

I train for triathlons and bought this to track my HR when running / cycling. I always wear this when running cycling which is 3-4 times a week for the past 1.5yrs with no issues. When I bought it I tested it against a Garmin HRM and the output was effectively the same.

The strap is starting to show signs of wear but still plenty of life in it and I have not been particularly careful in its care either.

Whenever I start getting readings that are off I change the battery and it’s back to normal – this is the only downside that you cannot tell when you need a new bat.

I have also worn this in 2-3 triathlon races (starting in the water with the swim) either under a Tri suit or a wetsuit with no issues at all. It doesn’t track HR when swimming obviously, but would work fine on the bike and run legs following the swim.

I use this heart monitor inconjunctio with my Wahoo bike trainer using Zwift. It connects very quickly using bluetooth and is fairly accurate based on another heart monitor I have. Neither have been calibrated by scientists at NASA but at least both are consistent. Now there is a downside which is why it has only got 4 stars, when the battery is running low there is no indication to say it is. This is very very very annoying. When I start my exercise everything is working fine then Inotice on my heartbeat graph in Zwift that my heart rate is pulsing down to zero and back up every 2 seconds indicating that the battery is very low. Well, its useless telling me that when I have started my exercise, now I have to stop and change the battery…if you have one to hand. If you do not remove the unit from the band it will burn through the batteries. I cycle 5 days a week an hour at a time and I would say the battery lasts no longer than a month, less if you leave the unit pluged into the band. Having said that I have had more expensive heart monitors and they do exactly the same. Great unit for the price but just make sure you have a battery to hand.

I bought this is as my Wahoo Tickr Bluetooth HR strap had packed up. This was a far cheaper purchase than getting a straight replacement Tickr and whilst the build quality may not be quite as good as the Tickr, as long as you look after it after use, I am sure that the product will last for quite some time!

I normally use a Garmin Hrm but needed a good value temporary replacement. The moofit seemed a reasonably priced option. I was a bit confused by the instructions regarding connectivity; I just went ahead put it on and hooked it up no problem at all to my watch, rower and Zwift. The HR data seems in line with what I expect. There doesn’t seem to be any irregularities with Moofit. As with any hr data it’s worth getting a good idea of what your particular hr pattern is (over a number of sessions/weeks) and using your specific data on a comparative (with your history) basis. Would recommend Moofit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFrom the off, connectivity was fine. The connection stays stable throughout the exercise. Fits well and is nice and secure during any activity. Accuracy is good, when compared against my Smartwatch all readings were more or less the same. I didn’t want to go mad and spend a whole lot on this but I don’t think I needed to. Does everything it says on the tin. Nice! I’ll get one for my Dad too he has the Cadence sensor on his bike and I’m sure he’ll love it for Father’s Day.

I’ve recently bought a Concept 2 RowErg and wanted an HRM to use with it. Concept 2 sell/recommend Polar and Garmin. But the MooFit is half the price and does what I want.
It paired easily with the RowErg PM5 performance monitor via Bluetooth Smart/BLE, was comfortable to wear and gives real time data to the PM5 and ErgData app.
I would imagine this will work with any Concept 2 machine fitted with the PM5 performance monitor.
Great bit of kit and great value.

Very pleased with this! Strap is comfortable and can’t feel it at all once on, paired easily with my phone (I use Samsung Health). Use it in a fitness class, probably about half a metre away inside my bag and no issues tracking anything. Only downside is that I now know I’m not burning as many calories as I thought, but I’ve only got my lack of effort to blame for that!

I bought this so that I could have a second heart rate monitor chest strap for use with my bike. I already have a polar hrm which I use on a piece of gym equipment and have been very satisfied with its operation but recently it has started to lose connection to apps. This moofit unit works like the polar hrm use to do when it was new which is great. I use it with a wahoo fitness app but I don’t see why it can’t be used with others

This device works fine, however I had a few problems setting it up. The battery it came with was no good and had to be replaced and it was a little tricky to pair up with my phone (but that might have been the phone). You do need the right ap for it. I found that Elite HRV worked best. After the initial set up it has been grand and is used daily. I found that the battery only lasts just over a month with daily use.

    Does the job

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this HR monitor whilst it was on offer so for a bit of a bargain. It was slightly delayed in delivery, but overall that didn’t impact me personally.
It was delivered in a box with instructions on usage. It’s a basic real time HR monitor that doesn’t require an app. It does mean you can’t look at the stats if that’s what interests you. I was looking for basic functionality so this is a perfect purchase. It syncs with Garmin too, via Bluetooth easily.
A point to note, the strap that came with the fitness monitor was medium – XXL. I’m petite so this is far too big. I am getting mine adjusted so watch out for that. Overall, I’m happy to recommend at the price paid.

This sensor is made of quality materials throughout and a modern sleek design is very easy to adjust around your chest and will remain in place while exercising.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m not going to add photos to this as others have already done so and the product is exactly how describes.
Used this monitor with two phones to test a Samsung S9+ and Apple iPhone 7.
From the outset, there was no connectivity so I bought a new battery and found that this was the issue.
The iPhone was able to see the device and connected in a couple of minutes. I ran for an hour testing how accurate the monitor is and if there were any dropouts. The iPhone was accurate and had no dropouts so performed well.

    Update:
After using this product for several weeks with my iPhone I can confirm that it is accurate for heartbeats and holds a solid connection

When it came to the Samsung S9+ after 15 minutes and reboot of the phone the monitor was finally detected. However, the phone continually failed to connect and to this day I have never managed it, the phone does, however, connect to all other Bluetooth devices.

    In conclusion:
The monitor performed well when connected to an iPhone with no rubbing from the strap a the clasp did not run at all. But with the Samsung, it totally failed.
If you are using an Apple device you will be happy

I brought this as a replacement for a mislaid Garmin HRM ANT+ which jumped from 40 in 2013 to 75 in 2020. So I gave up waiting for it to show up as I was losing data on rides and paid 23 for this which is effectively an upgrade as it includes Bluetooth connectivity too. The HRM average matched my Apple Watch but the Moofit recorded a slightly higher range by a few more BPM. The Moofit paired to my 2013 Ambit 2 without any drama combined with a cadence/speed sensor. The strap can twist into itself something I never experienced with the lost Garmin strap. It works so I can use it and forget about it.

I have used for a week as I’ve never owned one of these things before so I have nothing to compare it to. The monitor itself is very easy to use, just strap on the strap (moisten the contacts first, I have also used vaseline which works fine) and the monitor seems to start up as soon as its connected across the terminals. The only problem I have had is that I have had to install another application since the application I use is not compatible. Also the instructions are not clear. What I can say is that the heart band does its job.
